Pope Joan wrote:High school gym was a good place to get knocked unconscious. All those tile walls, and nothing with which to defend yourself. The PE teacher relished violence, so he would say nothing.

What's up with that? Kids don't shower anymore? They just spend the rest of the school day reeking? Do they really think deodorant alone will cover up their stink?
Did you shower in school? If not, why not? I did. Hell, we used to tease the few kids that didn't.

Ooh! That gives me an idea!
Back when I was in the Navy, when I got to my first duty station for "A" school, i had a mandatory PT along with all the others fresh out of boot camp. The chief that ran the PT found out that some of them weren't showering after PT. So he made himself some "powdered donuts". When we were running, he led us to the volleyball courts and their nice sugary sand. Then we did push ups, crunches and that drill where three of us would jump, roll and stand to jump over the next rolling person. I can't remember what that's called. But by the time we ran back to our BEQ, we were all throughly coated with a nice layer of sand and sweat. Everybody showered that day.
PE coaches should to that once in a while in school.
