Also, I am the sole OP of this thread! What I say, goes.
Integralist Army Soldiers storming the Presidential Compound in Nosamo
"...You've heard the news haven't you, Yonaten?"
"...Yes. But I expected him to live at least one month more."
"I've got three divisions under my command, ready to go when the time comes."
"Are General Rhesus, and Admiral Mandoyda on our side?"
"Absolutely. I promised them that they would get free reign to deal with Manya's goons in the Ministry of State Security, they're anticipating it."
"They are with the cause, aren't they, Tierno?"
"Of course, After showing them evidence of what Manya and the SSM are doing to the people, they said that these mass persecutions and killings need to stop. Their divisions and battle groups are fully with us."
"Good, soon enough with the evidence from my feelers within the Ministry of State Security, we can stop this genocide from continuing, gain support from the Army and Navy, and put Manya, Termos, Zelle, and whoever else approved of the atrocities committed here in front of a damn firing squad..."
"We begin moving troops by tomorrow morning."
November 23rd, 2045: The day Ghazan Quardya died... Millions of people within the Integralist Confederation were forced to mourn for their "High Admiral and Eternal President of the New Yaman Junta." As the forced mourning for Quardya started, the situation behind the scenes was just heating up: The New Yaman Junta was falling apart, without the fearless, and brutal rule of Quardya to keep the Generals in their place, this power vacuum would be the Integralist Confederation's undoing...
General Manya denouncing the Coup
On the 25th of November, the people of New Yama woke up to a shock: Two of the youngest Generals within the Junta: Minister of Trade, General Tierno Qando, and Minister of the Interior, General Yonaten Duvier began their coup against the "Interim" Leadership of General Phariso Manya, Minister of State Security. The two Generals took to the airwaves, seizing the Nosamo News Service HQ in Nosamo, and broadcasting their message of Democracy and Peaceful Reunification with the Federal Union of Guadalupador. The message of a return to the Federal Union struck a chord with millions of repressed Dorians across the country, causing many to take to the streets in support of the "Unifiers" all across the nation. The Ministry of State Security on the other hand, started to brutally suppress these protests, as General Manya denounced the coup, and called any people that supported it "Traitors to New Yama," and promised that "not one will survive." Manya formally dissolved the Junta and took on emergency powers, attempting to establish martial law.
"They're everywhere, General Manya! It seems that the entire armed forces have just turned against us!" A senior Ministry of State Security Officer yelled as he angrily smashed his hand onto an electronic map of New Yama. "Why in heaven's name would they do this?! We've got the entire army moving around the north, and attacking our outposts. There's also mass insurrection in the streets of nearly every city, our efforts to contain these ruffians has been complicated by the army protecting them. If they keep on moving through, those traitors will find out about the...camps." He said the last word with a bit of hesitation, as the "forced labor and reeducation camps" as they were formally called were an extremely taboo subject, even with the Ministry that operated them."
"The generals already know about what we were doing..." General Phariso Manya surmised. He cursed himself for the holes in his organization, for letting that sort of incriminating and horrid evidence through the cracks while he was unaware. He shouldn't have trusted anyone, for the operations of the SSM were only really known by two people in the Junta: Manya, and Quardya. "Now they most likely know the extent of what we've been doing for the last fifteen years, and there's hell to pay." Manya calmly said. "Quickly, get Reverend Termos on the line. We need to arrange his escape, same with the rest of your officers. I will lead the Ministry's resistance against those who would wish the dream of Martinez to be snuffed out here."
The other High-Ranking SSM Officers looked at him in surprise.
"This isn't your battle, this is mine, now go and live another day. The Cuscatlanis don't know the major extent, nor what we did in those camps, go to them, and disappear." Manya ordered, and as soon as he finished speaking, the whole command center began to drain of people, while staffers attempted to get rid of incriminating documents, that would hold them accountable.
Later that night, Integralist Army Border Guards along the Federal Union/Integralist Confederation Border began to completely open up checkpoints to civilian traffic. By the next morning, thousands of civilians were flowing across the border, reuniting with the families that were sealed off for nearly twenty years. The Civil Guard Sector of the SSM, in response attempted, but to no avail, to reseal the borders and bring the border guards back under their control. Qando, and Duvier were quickly gaining support of both the People, and the Army in their coup against the repressive dictatorship of Phariso Manya. By November 26th, the entirety of the Integralist Military pledged its support for the Unifiers, and the SSM began open combat operations against their former comrades, by order of Manya's quickly deteriorating leadership. After two weeks, and several large skirmishes, the Army quickly gained control of the country, leaving only Manya and the remainder of the SSM in the Presidential Compound in Nosamo under their control.
Thus began the "Second Nosamo Uprising," with the Integralist Air Force strafing the Presidential Compound, and the Integralist Army fighting the SSM, street for street, all the way up to the Compound. Thousands of citizens living in Nosamo helped the army rout SSM Positions, eventually causing a complete collapse of the entire SSM Command Structure. General Manya's last hours as being the leader of New Yama were at hand. Only Manya's most loyal SSM Bodyguards remained, and fought to the last man against the Army units storming the compound. With the Compound severerely damaged, and the remainder of the Ministry of State Security decimated, General Phariso Manya announced his resignation, and surrender to the Unifier Forces. After the ten minute long televised address, the teary-eyed General left his bunker, and met the Army troops in the courtyard. He was then subsequently arrested by the military, and citizens cheered as he was put into custody, and driven out of the city.
Large celebrations broke out across the two Guadalupadors in reaction to the fall of Manya. The night that General Manya was put into custody, Enrique Yanama, and thousands of other political, social, and religious prisoners were freed by the Unifiers. Enrique Yanama was rushed to Nosamo by the Army, and the 57 year-old former Grand Premier was hailed as a hero upon returning to Nosamo. He spoke to several million people packed into Issha Park to hear him speak. He reassured many that Guadalupador had endured its some of its darkest days, and that only brighter days were ahead. "The Night Has Ended! Now we must greet the glorious dawn with optimism!" He announced, to the grand cheers of the crowd. After the speech, Generals Qando and Duvier placed Yanama in as interim leader of the Integralist Confederation, and announced their resignation.
In celebration, people all across S. Guadalupador destroyed Integralist imagery: Burning portraits and pictures of Admiral Quardya, Guiseppe Trigra, Raul Martinez, Carlos Silva, and more Integralist Icons in large bonfires. Statues of these icons were also pulled down, or even blown to bits by the triumphant citizens, free of repression. The most notable action during these celebrations was the tearing down of the "Rhodes Monument" in Nosamo, which originally replaced the Bethuana War Memorial. People tore off Rhodes' head off the statue, and dragged it through the streets, chanting: "Freedom!" as army APCs pulled the rest of the wreckage away. People honked their car horns as New Yama had finally fallen. The followers of Guadalan were now free to practice openly and held services wherever possible, without risk of the SSM Sector 6: Religious Police Force sending them off to a forced labor/re-education camp.
As the celebrations continued, those officers that were left of the Ministry of State Security rushed to leave the country to escape justice, attempting to gain amnesty in Gran Cuscatlan, and Tragenberg. Though most were captured, and arrested, there were a select few officials within the old high command that successfully left New Yama in the days that followed.
A large crowd attending Enrique Yanama's announcement of the Guadalupadorian Reunification
Now Enrique Yanama was once again leader of Guadalupador. (Well, at least half of Guadalupador.) In his first act as President, he ordered the destruction of the "Quardya's Wall." During Yanama's three week long reign as President, warrants for the arrests of former SSM Commanders and Soldiers that ran the horrifying Forced Labor and Reeducation Camps that killed untold amounts of innocent people during Quardya's reign began to be issued en masse. Along the border between the two Guadalupadors, and announced that New Yama will be effectively dissolved by the end of the year, and reincorporated into the Federal Union of Guadalupador. Yanama and Grand Premier Carlo Bonya of N. Guadalupador met in Nosamo on Christmas Day to discuss the upcoming Reunification of Guadalupador: On January 1st, 2046, Enrique Yanama would resign his post, and the Federal Union of Guadalupador would assume control of the former Integralist Confederation of New Yama, with Nosamo once again, becoming the Capital of the United Guadalupador.
As per the agreement, on the twentieth anniversary of the First Nosamo Uprising, Guadalupador had been reunited, and the long nightmare had ended. Guadalupador was independent of foreign influence once more. January first marked a new Independence Day, the Federal Union of Guadalupador was now here to stay, and the old flag of the Federal Union once again flew over Nosamo. The world's political landscape had changed drastically over the course of a month, who would recognize this change? Who would welcome the newly reunified Guadalupador into the second half of the 2040's? Who would reel back in disgust as Guadalupador becomes whole again? The world would soon find out...
