Humans... made to be the image of the gods. This was a mistake. Humans had little of each god, even the bad ones. So, because of this, humans killed each other until there were no more humans. With just one man and one button, it started the apocalypse. When the first Nuke hit, twenty more came a day after. Then more the next day. Then bioweapons were released. In the end, every living thing on Earth had died. This caused the God of Death, Mazuis to awaken. He knew that the Gods needed waking, Earth was their source of power. They would need to recreate the Earth, this time without humans. Instead multiple sentience races. The work now began.

In the Beginning, there was an Elder God. He was the last of the Elder Gods, before he died he created a new pantheon. This new pantheon saw the mistakes of the Elder Gods, they had not create a place to help produce all their power. They used up most of their power creating Earth, and life on it. With this the New Gods, went into a long sleep to gain power and return one day to rule their domains. However, this was ruined when the humans killed everything, the only one who benefited from this was the Death God. Now the New Gods must recreate an eternal power source so they will not perish like the Elder Gods did. They are weak but still have small sources of power. They must use these sources to create more of their power sources so they can sustain themselves.

Mazuis finally awoken after several millennium. "What is this? Why am I awaken? All I know is I feel a great amount of power in me. Let me check what has happened."

After opening a portal to the Earth he saw the damage. Skeletons littered the ground as well as souls climbing through the portal the Underground. He felt more powerful than he ever was. He knew however, that he had to wake the other gods. They must recreate the Earth so that all of them can be sustained. Quickly He thought I must awaken them all. He then opened a portal to where their pantheon was. He ran up to the large gong and hit it. The sound was so loud that if there had been life on Earth all would hear it.

Slowly the gods awoken from their long sleep. Mazuis yelled out to them.
"Brothers! Sisters! All life has been destroyed. We must do something now or all things will die out in the Universe!"

He then waited for them to enter the Main Hall. Much planning was needed to save them all.

The Overseer looked upon its body, "Reactivation, complete." it looked up towards the god, "This has not been calculated correctly. Error. Error. This does not compute with my systems." The voice of the machine crackled to life and it made its way down the hall. "The chance of success is low. 15.65% approximately." The machine made its way further down the hallway, "The error must be repaired or my data files will corrupt."

Silence clung desperately the mountains of New Zealand, disturbed only by the sound of a rushing waterfall. Not an animal cried out nor any bird caw. Slowly, a cracking noise could be heard, gaining in volume as time progressed, however no animal responded to it. Soon, a stone table with Totohe lying on it, broke through the ground. Slowly, the figure awoke and looked around, sensing something was wrong. Eventually, Totohe pulled himself from the table but felt himself falter as he hit the floor, grabbing the side of the table to balance himself. Confused, he heard the gong ring out. "Something is wrong" he said to himself, opening a portal to the Pantheon's Main Hall. Stepping through into the Hall, he faltered again "What has happened? Why am I weak?" he asked Mazuis

In the dilapated halls of the former American Capital building,in the hall of statues where statues of famous Americans from each state lied, the statue of Henry Clay, began to crack from the left to right where his waist was. All of the sudden, the top of the statue exploded into the shards, and The God of Compromise, Henry Clay, awoken. Henry, enstranged why he was awakened, looked up at the dome of the capital, and uttered in disbelief of shards of it layed around him, and a gaping holeblay in it. "What in the hell has happened since I past?" he thought, as he slowly got out of the statues lower half. He then slowly proceeded to the front half of the capital building, and then opened the doors. "My God, what, what has happened to the Union!?!" he said as he saw, the remains of the capital mall, and then proceeded to collapse to his knees. He then slowly began to get up. "I must know what happened." Henry said as he himself opened a portal to the Pantheon's main hall, and proceeded through, with the remains of America behind him.

Yharnam woke in a place of nightmare. My people, my child, they are all lost to me. She glaced at the human world. A-are the humans done at last? She stood and prepared to see her fellow Gods. She opened a portal and it deposited her in the Great Hall. She stood there, a pillar of white, waiting for the others.

The One Tree
Eden
Original Pantheon
Ephasallion the Gardener

All was quiet. There was not a breeze, not a whisper. Not the sound of birds whistling, of bees humming. There were no dogs barking, nor was there the sound of running water. Total, eerie quiet was all that encompassed Eden. The only sound breaking this total silence was a light snore. The heavy breathing of a man, lying beneath the One Tree. The One Tree, that had once bore the original fruit of sin, was the only thing still standing in this domain. Beneath the tree, stretching for what looked like five meters or so, was nothing but hard dirt. Lifeless, grey, devoid of organisms. Even the tree was without fruit or leaf, standing perfectly still like a skeleton of her former self, a statue of days past. The snoring came from the man resting against the tree, his hat pulled slightly over his eyes. Beside him were a dog, a shepherd of sorts, and a wooden cane. Although, one could not see whether he was truly asleep or dead, so little were the movements of his chest.

Then, even the sound of the snoring was broken. There was a new sound in the world, the first one since the cries of agony that had silenced forever in fire and ash. The first sound entering Eden since the burning of the Amazon had sent her embers to the World Above for help, only to be met with hopeless despair. With every beat of the gong, more green buds appeared on the One Tree. With every strike, the buds grew to leaves. The clouds covering the world were cast aside, and a blue sky ruptured over the world of the God of Nature. The rays of the golden sun illuminated the One Tree, and her leaves soaked up the welcome sunlight. Then, the sunlight reached the face of the man. Slowly but surely he began to move again, his grey cheeks regaining the red colour for which they had once been famous. Suddenly, his blue eyes opened wide, and he looked round the world.

There was nothing but the empty, white expanse beyond the borders of Eden. Only five meters in front of him, the ground stopped. He was drifting on a flying island, it seemed. An island captured in the great blue expanse of heaven. The destruction of nature had taken her toll. The once lush Realm of the God of Nature had once been the envy of the Gods, a place where they came to rest and relax, where heavenly fruits filled bowls and clear water ran from mountains and streams. And what was it now? Nothing but a floating block of dirt, suspended by the last waning might of the Gods Beyond. Ephasallion stood up from his downward position, taking up his cane in the process. His dog now too awoke, and his face was marked with the same confusion as the God of Nature.

“I say, Darwin” the man spoke to his dog, scratching him behind the ear.

“I think something went amiss with those funny little sapiens the Master created”

The dog barked in agreement, and sniffed the air. He felt it, there was nothing beyond this great expanse of nothingness. Nothing but a tree, a dog, and a God. Ephasallion struck the tree with his cane, and began to walk towards the edge of his island. He sighed.

“There is only one way to find out, I fear. Come along, boy. We have some business to discuss. I know who sounds that infernal gong in the Pantheon…”

With a tap of his cane a portal appeared in front of them, which the two stepped through with relative ease. They had done it before, and would do it again. And it would not be the last time, either. When he exited the portal, Ephasallion and Darwin stood in the Great Hall, surrounded by various other Gods that had chosen to appear. Mazuis, God of Death, his long-time counterpart and colleague. The Overseer, a mind of metal and wheels who had been born just a short time before in divine terms. Sigfried, Totohe, Clay… All had gathered, it seemed. Something was truly amiss, if all these divine beings had been awoken. Ephasallion stepped to the side of the hall, and watched what unfolded from a distance, softly petting Darwin on the head. This was going to be interesting, to say the least…

Sandāburingā awoke.

He had been asleep for many years. "Argh..."

"Why am I awake? And where am I?"
Then he noticed the ornate chair he was sitting in. It was small, but made out of finely carved white wood, adorned with red cloths.

"It's dark in here," Sandāburingā said, as he threw open the curtains that surrounded him.

"Oh no."
He had been seated on the Takamikura throne in the Imperial Palace.
The palace courtyard was completely empty. As was Tokyo, Japan, and the whole planet.
"Those fools! They all killed each other!"
He angrily threw open a portal into the main hall of the Gods.
A bellow was let loose from his gut, and the wrath of the storms was released from his mouth.
"What the hell happened!?

Yumi was disturbed by the silence that emitted from outside of her domain of eternal night, it wasn't like the peaceful silence of a mortal resting to regain lost energy, but the silence of eternal rest. She left the comfort of her darkness and entered the mortal realm, the silence and cold of the lifeless plane.

Yumi wanders off into the wasteland and finds nothing, after some time the only unique setting she sees is an entrance into a black abyss. The shining sun had irritated her eyes so she quickly retreated to the darkness of the cavern. Her eyes quickly adjusted to the darkness and was amazed by what she saw. The tunnel she went down expanded into a giant system of other tunnels and rooms. Fascinated by the tunnels, she wondered if someone has lived in them before she showed up, but the still existent coldness of death told her they weren't around anymore.

She decided to lay claim to these vast tunnel systems and had created a race to inhabit them. She tapped into her powers and created a handful of lizard-like humanoids, they were only about 4 and a half feet high but of a slender build. Their scales were of colors ranging from forest green to turquoise. She smiled in approval as these creatures, which she named Kobolds, began to scamper around the tunnels, finding rooms for them in dwell and multiply in.

Mazuis looked around smiling
"Isn't this amazing. All of you are so weak right now. So vulnerable now. I could easily wipe the lot of you out. However I know that I can't otherwise eventually even I would die. Anyways now to inform you all of what happened. It seems those stupid little humans killed each other off. Now usually I wouldn't be complain but I do need a steady supply of death. So I think it's time you all started recreating the Earth. I suggest though, don't make humans again they'll only evolve to the same level of stupidity. So I suggest you all start planning how to save yourselves before you fade away. "

With this Mazuis sat into his throne waiting for what stupid little scheme they would do to save themselves.

Meanwhile his servants were currently trying to go through all the new souls trying to figure out who deserved reward and who deserved punished and servitude to Mazuis. With this Influx of dead, Mazuis now had an army that could at anytime do his bidding.

Henry stepped forward, of course him, the God of Compromise, decided to be the one to step up. "My Species, The Human Race, have done the stupidest thing our history, so, maybe, all of us, could whip up something new, rather then one major race, who took over the world, to most of you, rather then me, felt like a Heart Beat, but, maybe, we could possibly create 5 new races, plants, and possibly add, Magic, Alchemy or the sorts, and if this plan does not work, we could, possibly bring back Humanity if this plan does not work." He said with confiedence in his voice.

At the corner of the hall the ground shifted and cracked, and the outline of a man appeared slowly as the earth shifted about the form. He sat up slowly, yawning inaudible and stretching languidly, his motions almost feline, a jungle cat confident and collected. Blinking flakes of crumbling stone from his eyes, the Smith stood fluidly, almost lazily, one hand stroking his red beard as foot followed foot and he strode towards the center of the chamber. Casually Maerios counted the Divines that had reawakened, the weak kittens that had once dallied with his masterpiece. Not all their additions had been bad, though he would never admit as much aloud, and the Forge-Father smiled indulgently at the assembled deities.

"Ah, now that was a refreshing nap. Nothing like a few thousand millennia to work out the knots in the back." Absentmindedly his callused hand rested on the engraved hilt of his Hammer, the Hanmer. Though he had not used it since the stars were spun nor the planets drawn forth from the flames of the Aera, still the latent desire to create hummed in his bones, a song unsung but yet to be given voice. With a quirk of a bushy eyebrow Maerios considered his younger sibling, now grow gluttonous on the souls of the slain.

"You forget yourself Mazuis. The others may be weak, oceans boiled dry, plants withered, even time itself frayed for none exist to perceived its passing. But earth endures, and in the consuming fire that has ended the old world I too found power." It was no hyperbole; in his veins thrummed the molten blood of the depths of the world, and though the death-pyres of man had saddened him for the loss of so much that was created and good, in the maelstrom too was potency he had not felt since the forging of the sun and her eternal flame.

He shook his head, dispelling cobwebs of the past as his shaggy mane shivered in the breeze of the Hall Eternal. "But this is not a time for struggle, or strife. Even death will one day die, for though your night waxes now to its zenith, if nothing yet breathes soon you too, Mazuis, will fade. Death and life are two sides of the same coin, and without new life you will wither as well. I am incomplete, my charge from Our Father incomplete if none live to build, to shape."

With a nod of his head Maerios grinned, broad weathered face splitting in twain with mirth. "Though I must say, I don't relish having to work with so many ideas again. The first time with all of you nattering ceaselessly was bad enough."

The Smith-Lord stamped once, and from beneath his foot a spur of blackest rock sprouted, here at the heart of the Hall that was both beyond reality and yet inextricably linked to it. Between the crumbled pillars and cracked walls the obsidian flowered, a living twining thing of magma blood and earthen bone until a low simple chair graced the chamber. Maerios seated himself, idly awaiting the awakening of the rest of the sleepers.

As Vizu awoke and heard the others shifting as well, she knew something terrible had to of happened. She felt ill, as if her teachings had fallen nearly silent for thousands of years. But then she felt it: the air still stirred, waters flowed, the earth sang, and fire danced. It was all still there as she left it, minus her mystic teachings to guide these forces. She raised her scepter and appeared in the hall where the gods were assembling. She looked around and saw Mazuis and Maerios in conversation after Mazuis pointing out the weakness of the other gods. She smirked, "Not all of us are entirely powerless as Maerios will point out. My teachings to the Humans may have been forgotten and lost now, but the core of my power remains. Besides, what happens to you when things stop dying? With no one left to die..."

She let his imagination run wild for a moment. She also heard the Compromiser speak and added her own idea to the thoughts he was trying to formulate for the rest to gain hold of. "I support Clay's idea. We need to diversify this world. Humanity took so long to create due to all of the input, perhaps we could find a better way to create life. Multiple races, each with their own identity. Some could be great craftsmen," she said looking at Maerios. "While others could be blessed with exceedingly long lives." She was hoping this would convince a few of the others to move forward and act on this as soon as possible.

As the others debated, The Overseer was was reattaching wires, recalculating things, updating, and generally being the machine that is was. He would let the other gods debate while it watched carefully. The machine god cared little for organic life, having watched them kill themselves before him. He had spent a short while wandering the ruins of the world. He still wore the skins of the animals he carved them from, as some form of, morbid trophy.

Besides this, the overseers power had only degraded due to the destruction of robots and technology, however it was fitter than most. Moving the hide of some skinned animal further up its metallic body it looked up to face the other gods.

The Smith-Lord nodded to the awakening goddess, Vizu, whose essence was drawn from his in some ways and strangely intertwined in others. "Indeed. I have not heard the chant of inscribed ritual or the felt the cut of vaunted rune to bind mystic power for millenia. Long ago men felt your presence, but in recent memory of the ages the incantations and rites have been silent. The potential remains, but I have not heard them call it in many vanished years." As for life.. that was a curious matter. A cool wind of twining breeze passed through the broken facades and empty walls of the Hall, and Maerios called to the heat that was indolent within his very being. Slowly and softly his obsidian throne began to glow a faint red of the flame, and the god relaxed, happy and more comfortable with some of the warmth of the heart of the Earth at hand. "...as for making new life, that is a curious thought. Whatever those who dabble in such provinces create, I shall be content. All creatures are my care if they have minds to use and hands to work with, for all men and their kind in time bring forth craft and beautiful things. I could shape such creatures, of many forms or essences, but it is not within the role assigned to me by Our Father to breathe the spark of life into their veins. My labor must be healing this world, for our last creations have marred it in many ways, and even now it is ruined and desolate from their folly."

In the corner of his eye the Maker watched the strange technological construct, one of the most late-born of the Divines, shift a macabre cloak of dead animals over its body. An abomination it had become, a fetid crawling thing, the flame of its promise to go beyond even what the finest craft could accomplish now choked by the weed of rampant destruction and heedless death. It was the creations of that god that had killed the world, cunning devices of wheels and smoke and caged lightening that scoured the surface of the earth of all that could grow and love. He would have to watch the new world carefully, lest technology again become its doom. Thankfully his strength had returned, and in this Second Creation he would not have to forge an entire universe, a labor of eternity, but merely mend that which had been broken by careless children. Far less draining, and a fitting task.

Totohe was shocked, talk of making not one but several replacements for humanity made him dizzy. He grabbed the side of the marble chairs as he faltered. Lack of rivalry on such a large scale was something he was not used to, nor that he wished to experience any longer. "What are we talking of!? Are we considering the replacement of our greatest creation? Nothing can compare to them brothers and sisters! Everything they did they could do was greater than anything any replacement we can think of can ever do, humans, originally stupid, taught themselves maths and the understanding of where they lived! They may have eradicated themselves, but perhaps that is because they were lost. Perhaps our absence was what scared them into eradication? Whatever the case, I refuse to replace humanity for whatever creations you devise!" Totohe exclaimed, regaining his balance.

"What's the matter Totohe? Feeling weak since the only living things in the universe are actually agreeing. Now don't get me wrong, I like humans since they fed me so well recently, but I don't need a race wiping themselves out so they can't feed me any more. Humans killed themselves because they had a little of each of us in them. Probably more of you considering they were always fighting. I for one agree that we should have more than one species to provide for us. However I do suggest we don't put ourselves in them. Also, don't worry to much Totohe, there might be rivalries between the races." Mazuis said while smiling.

Totohe's face hardened at the accusation "there is a difference between rivalry and fighting Mazius, you should know that since you rely on the products of fighting to stay strong. When rivalry was brought into the world, do you really intended to cause the end of humanity? I meant for humans to strive to beat their rivals, not destroy them. But such was the beauty of humans. They were free to interpret the gifts we gave them, each and everyone of us!" He exclaimed, slowly walking into the centre of the Hall "Whatever...things you intend to create will never be as wonderful as the humans. Our final creation before The Slumber. And you can be sure that they will lack the rivalry to compete" he warned

“Humans were arrogant” the Gardener said softly, leaning against the side of the Hall. Between his lips he held a blade of grass, softly dancing in the flow of air created by so many powerful beings in disagreement. He chewed a bit on his grass, moved it from left to right, and tapped his cane on the marble floor. A spark flew from the tip, and a bright crimson flower grew from where the spark had appeared.

“They were arrogant, foolish, high-hearted… Certainly the most troublesome creatures under my care. I guess they were like teenagers, trying to prove they could do without my protection, without my help… Only these teenagers had the power to destroy themselves in seconds.”

Ephasallion sighed and patted Darwin on the head. The shepherd began to wag his tail, and a happy growl escaped his muzzle.

“But that was our failing. We let out children get the better of us, and now we blame them for their own destruction. We blame them, while we could have done our work better. While the Old Master could have done his work better. We have the power to raise mountains, yet, we could not keep our own children from falling in line?”

He moved to the centre of the Hall, looking about him. Such creatures of power they were, that they found pleasure in creating whole worlds for them to care for. Out of their boredom grew such great suffering, such great loss, such heroism and love… Oh, many times had Ephasallion walked the meadows of Earth to look at their creation from up close. He had seen countless couples, walking happily among the paths and through the fields. How many lovers had played with his sheep? How many had petted Darwin, wondering at why he was named so? And yet, all of that was gone. The fields had turned to fire, to ash, to dust, to sand. The trees had been vaporised, and thousands of skeletons now littered every part of the globe. Man, woman, child and animal, strewn about like dirt in the wind.

“My garden is nearly dead. Earth is barren, and my last powers are used to keep my own world from disappearing. The great garden you all used for leisure and rest is close to disappearing. We need a new world. We need plants, animals, birds and bees, and intelligent life. Really intelligent, this time. Let us not repeat the same mistakes we made in the past. We gave them technological progress and scientific guidance, yet for all our help we left their morals to their own devices. This time, let it not be so. Let us truly work for a better race… For better races. Ones that can truly take care of the world we give them, until they have developed far enough for us to let go.”

The name's James. James Usari. Well, my name is not actually James Usari, so don't bother actually looking it up, but it'll do for now.

"Who are you to speak to me in that way? We are all equals in this room, so I suggest you stay in line before I teach you a lesson about respect. As for the balance being harmed, explain yourself with that." Mazius said standing up and standing directly in front of Sigfried.

"As for me, I do not care what you do just don't bring back humans. If you do I will destroy them. Simple as that." Mazuis said before storming out of the room and back to the Underworld.

"You there, gate keeper. Prepare a force to invade the Earth. Keep them prepared until I say different." Mazuis said

A war seemed to be on the horizon to Mazuis.

G-Tech Corporation wrote:The Smith-Lord nodded to the awakening goddess, Vizu, whose essence was drawn from his in some ways and strangely intertwined in others.

It was the creations of that god that had killed the world, cunning devices of wheels and smoke and caged lightning that scoured the surface of the earth of all that could grow and love. He would have to watch the new world carefully, lest technology again become its doom. Thankfully his strength had returned, and in this Second Creation he would not have to forge an entire universe, a labor of eternity, but merely mend that which had been broken by careless children. Far less draining, and a fitting task.

The Overseer looked at the Maker, if it had eyes, it would be staring, "I detect an issue." it states. It seemed to have an odd obsession with the furs and skins of the dead biological creatures. It was the reason why the world ended, it would more than likely be the cause of its. It saw biological creatures as week and no longer needed in its processors.

"If the Marker has an objection to my presence, please state." It states, "I predict that bringing back organic life will only repeat the cycle. Unless they where partly mechanised. Expanding the brains processor to allow it to make organic life expand." It states coldly, just like the machine it is, "That is if the organics are to return."
"If those who seek to prevent out glorious quest mobilise, they will have to endure the trials we did! There sanity will break before they can harm us! Their blood will paint the white snow a crimson taint! We safe here! In this land, where tyrants cannot touch!" - The First Overseer

Maerios smiled broadly as the strange creature spoke aloud, but his expression carried no warmth. It was a strange accident of the weave that this odd thing was so alike to him in purpose, and yet so flawed in implementation. "Objection? Hardly. But one might question why you sent man the implements of his own doom, hmm, indeed one might even lay the blame for their demise and this need for the expenditure of more of our strength at your feet." He passed a hand before his eyes, red beard cooling from its hotter hue. "Be that as it may be. What is done is done, and the Doors of Time are closed as they have been since the beginning. You speak of creatures of metal, of less flesh and more machine. I would be interested to hear your thoughts on the topic, at least abstractly- I have work of my own which burns in my veins now that my slumber is ended."

The Maker merely laughed internally, a slight chuckle of the throat, as rivalry blossomed and tempers flared. Such was the nature of the Divines, for power bred arrogance as even closer kin than destruction. They would do as they wished. There were cooler heads which would, in time, prevail. Mazuis had stomped off to sulk with his bones and shadows already, after scarce a handful of words. But there were others with whom conversation might be more productive.

His deep emerald eyes turned, seeking out the Gardener, Ephasallion. A grower, a tamer, each creature in its place and order. Work, perhaps, could be done there. The Smith-Lord rose, and tramped with measured tread to lean against a crumbling pillar, absentmindedly scratching the dog-familiar behind its ears. A joke from the more modern era of vanished man, the creature Darwin, but an affectionate beast. He then spoke to the dog's master, his voice soft and concerned.

"You say your realm is diminished, Ephasallion. The First Tree... it survives?" His tones of worry were carefully concealed, but all too real. From the First Tree had come the Seed of Song, and without such potent sources of strength returning life, indeed any life, would be difficult. The tapestry of souls was a delicate one, interconnected and complicated, a delight for the senses and mind but also ephemeral and brittle when disrupted. Re-establishing entire ecosystems would be a chore of great toil without the sustaining power of Eden, a gift of the Eldest.

Wizmir was walking in Sahara Desert. He knew that life in Earth was over but he couldn't believe it. Everything they did to make this planet and living things in it was for nothing. "We failed our duty..." Wizmir murmured and sighed. He tried to do everything for stopping this but it was not enough. "We could save this planet if others didn't choice to sleep." Wizmir murmured. He took his Bō out and thrust it to sand. It started to shine a bit. 'I still have power. The animals are gone but the war created more deserts.' Wizmir thought and waited until his Bō stopped shining. Some of his power was restored. He raised his Bō to the air to open the portal to the meeting place.

He came to the meeting place right before Mazuis left. Wizmir sighed when he left. It was normal for Mazuis to leave first. 'His ego couldn't handle it.' Wizmir thought and looked at others. "The balance was lost when they started to get too far in technology and science. They were too hungry for power. I think multiple races can be better than one. The races can balance each other in a way." Wizmir said to Sigfried.

"How about we give every god and goddess a chance to create their own race. Everyone here probably will want a different race. The god or goddess can choice to not make a race of their own if they don't want to create their own race." Wizmir said to the others around him. He wasn't sure about the idea. Was it really a good idea to make multiple races in Earth after failure of humans?

"I gifted the organic life with the power to change themselves and evolve beyond body's of meat and flesh. The blame of humanities death is but it's own. They miscalculated my message. An error in the processors. Robotic life was that of my end goal for all organic life. But starting with it will remove the errors within them." Explained the machine, to whom would most likely become it's rival. It turned towards the exit, "I need to go recalibrate." He left and went to follow Mazuis
