Monarchies: How long has your dynasty been in power?

Our Doriaz dynasty has had power, in some form or another for 1,703 years. Before the Roman conquest of the island, the family ruled the chiefdom for almost thirteen centuries.

The von Wehr dynasty has only been in power since 1928 when Otto V ascended to the throne, overthrowing the collapsing Weimar Republic.

[Auzkhia]

The House of Habsburg has ruled Auzkhia since 1283, when a noble called Rudolf became Duke of Auzkhia, and later dukes assumed the title of Archduke, and then gained Imperial status.

[Ventalia]

The House of Archambault has ruled Ventalia since the Kingdom was officially founded in 1326. Their historic home and base of power, Bastia, serves as Ventalia's capital.

However, the House of Archambault actually predates Ventalia. The Archambault dynasty can trace its lineage to the foundation of the Kingdom of Bastia in 215, a city-state which was later incorporated into Ventalia. A mercantile city with many land holdings in the area, The Kingdom of Bastia served as the seat of the later Commonwealth of Crowns. This Commonwealth, founded 968 as an assembly of local Pagan kings, princes, dukes, and so forth in response to frequent crusades and invasions by Abrahamic foreigners, was an elective monarchy; no household outright ruled it beyond their respective constituent lands. At the Conference of 1322, the Archambaults were re-elected for a fifth 6 year term and, pressured by a renewed onslaught of organized Christian invasions, much political maneuvering by the Arhcambaults, and a ludicrous amount of noble inbreeding, voted to unify the Commonwealth into a Kingdom before the next scheduled conference (1328). The Treaty of Rochelle of 1326 cemented the foundation of Ventalia (keeping the name of the area west of the Immitis mountain range and Aurus river) with the Archambaults firmly in control.

The Oryzan Dynasty (Gens Oryza) took power in 1792, after the death of the heirless emperor Junius Marcus Saevus; the Imperial Senate voted that the then-Minister of Foreign Affairs, Darius Oryza Magnus, would be crowned emperor.

[Tierra Prime]

The Borischenko dynasty has ruled Great Tierra for a total of forty one years, which comprises the reigns of two emperors, Alexander I (3863 - 3398) and Dimitri I (3394 - present). A further five years can be added on to that if you consider the presidency of Maximilian Borischenko (3701 - 3706), but it is usually left out because Great Tierra, then known as Tierra Prime, was a republic (A crumbling quasi-feudal republic, but a republic all the same).

The Dimes Dynasty has governed the country since 1613 though they have been monarchs since only 1793 (proclaimed) or 1802 (officially).

The Andermani Dynasty have served as the Imperial Family since the foundation of the United Empire in 1789 by Frederick Andermani

The House of Penryn has been the reigning dynasty of Chelta since 1715.

[Rhodevus]

The Wolff Dynasty is comprised of 3 monarchs, King Isaac, King Benner (Benner the Great) and Queen Diana. This dynasty has been in power since 1945, and will end with the death of Queen Diana, since she named her heir as someone not in the Wolff family.

This will be the longest of the two dynasties (the previous one being the Hart Dynasty from 1754-1808).

Something important to point out, is Rhodevus is a non-hereditary monarchy, meaning the monarch chooses their successor from across the entire population, not just their own children.

The Shalotte monarchical title of Domnaeni has been held by women of Clan Selgovae since the position was first established in the early 100s A.D.

[Neo Prutenia]

The Dynastic period of Prut history lasted from 111 SH to 2608 SH, or roughly two thousand and five hundred years, with a few years of dynastic shifts, regencies, and battles for the crown. There have been four major dynasties: the Albertines (111 SH to 680 SH), followed by the largest regency, the Interregnum (680 SH to 688 SH), the Leopoldines (688 SH to 1888 SH), the Rutgerites (1888 SH to 2138 SH), and the Fredericians (2138 SH to 2608 SH). The longest continuous dynasty were the Leopoldines, who ruled for roughly one thousand and two hundred years, or almost half the entire Dynastic period. The second longest rule was that of the Albertines at around 570 years, then the Fredericians at about 470 years, and lastly the Rutgerites at around 250 years. Of all the dynasties, today there's only a proven Fredericians remnant, specifically two surviving family branches, both of which officially abdicate any rights to the crown in 2650 SH.

House de Gherdëina ascended the throne in the 13th century, succeeding to the Jeaning (aka Johanning) dynasty, who had been in power from the 7th century onwards.

The Present Dynasty has held the Dragon Throne since the end of the War of Blood, following the collapse of the 5th Dynasty. Going on three, maybe four hundred years.

Roughly 400 years. The Sapieha family practically founded Vudnia.

[Lusai]

Since the 11th century. The 'dynasty' so to speak is an alliance of two prominent clans, Syed Han (Syed Khan) and Syed Susila. Both trace their lineage to the prophet Muhammad (pbuh).

In The United Kingdom of Illithia and Darzum, the Stuart Family has ruled the kingdom for about 330 years, the two kingdoms of Illithia, and Darzum were ruled by the Stuarts of Illithia, and the Mereks of Darzum, for about 400 years each. The Mereks died on in the male line, and survive through the female line through the Stuarts

Started in 105 AD in modern day Germany and grew in power until the civil war in 499 which led to other Metcalfern dynasty's to spring up in Russia and Finland in 610, only one Dynasty is still around which is the one founded in former Russia.

[Zorbae]

As the fourth royal dynasty, after the Zhurrath, Zhauqing and Vaqing dynasties, the Khuqings have been in power for much of Zorbae's history; since 1903_ZSC.
In total, there have been 43 Khagans of Zorbae, 15 of whom have been Khuqings. The first Khuqing Khagan was Nathaniyyel I, who gained the throne after his cousin, Khagan Tvazh IV, died in battle with Scyzhorr, a nation to Zorbae's north-east.
Much of the Khuqing dynasty were exiled to Sirfalas Island during foreign occupation of Zorbae, returning to an independent state with Nathaniyyel V. Currently, Daniyyel I is the Khagan of Zorbae.

The Victorian Dynasty has been in power for 102 years since Alexander I was crowned King of Siberia and emperor of the north. Cadet branches include house lunarian who govern the eastern most part of the empire.

[Old Tyrannia]

The Imperial House of Romula have held power since the year 1526 AD, when they replaced the previous House of Regallia which had been compromised with foreign blood. So around 490 years. The family does claim descent from the final Western Roman Emperor, Romulus Augustulus, however. The latter ascended the Imperial Throne in 475, so this is traditionally regarded as the date of founding of the House Romula, who subsequently relocated to Old Tyrannia along with much of the old Roman nobility and ruled as Counts of Corvinium and later Archdukes of Hiera under the Regallian Emperors.

The Dynasty has been in power since the Creation of the Empire, created from the Collections of Principalities, Duchies, Free Imperial Cities, Counties, Lordships, Margraviates, Cantons, Bishoprics, Arch-duchies, Landgraviates, Kingdoms of Preauenberg, and Schliessland, of The Holy Imperium of The Ameritanian Nation.

[Republic of Dobinsonism]

88 years to be exact. The year is currently 2208. The First Great Leader set up the country in 2020, but was sadly killed in a yachting accident 5 years later. The 2nd Great Leader was assasinated by a Communist maniac, which shocked the people to to core as they started to fear that communist terroism could rise from the 2nd generation, who have lived here all their lives, but luckily for the island, there was no more communist attack and the assasination was just an isolated incident. Anyone who is suspected of being a communist/socialist or liberal is executed by firing squad for the good of the nation.

The Third Great Leader died three years ago of old age, he was considered the Grandfather of the country and hero, he was worshiped by the citezens like a god. His passing, although expected, was a moment of sincere grief, with the public crying in the streets. The Fourth Great LEader, who's the current Great Leader and the Great Grandson of the founder of the country is the current leader. He rules with an iron fist and thinks making money and having a strong economy is far more important than empathy or compassion.
