Welcome to the Wonderful World of Pokemon!

This is an RP inspired by the adventures people have experienced or are experiencing with Pokemon!

In this RP you take the role of a trainer, gym leader, elite four, or anyone you want! The region is home to the criminal organization Team Sound, which creates mayhem all around the region but this doesn't stop aspiring trainers from setting out into the wonderful world around them.

Special thanks to The Templar High Council and Yannastan for creating and editing the Map!

3. Hidden Abilities are Allowed

4. Mega Evolution is limited, and having Legendary Pokemon in your team is not allowed.

5. Check This Site to make sure your pokemon movesets are legal

6. We will battle in a way similar to the Pokemon Anime, so levels do not apply. However, each pokemon will still only be able to learn 4 moves.

Bio: Sam Hill was born in Emberwood City. He never had too many friends and he preferred to be alone. Sam had grown an interest in pokemons and music from young age and he had always wanted to have at least one of them to play with. This dream came true when he got a pichu as a birthday present from his parents when he turned 10. He named it Rachel knowing that one day it will become Raichu. He had always been interested in music as well, he bought his first guitar at the age of 14. Rachel evolved into pikachu soon after. He trained Rachel using her to power up his electric guitar. Since he deeply cared for his pokemon, he was careful not to stress her too much, switching for mains when she got tired. When he turned 18, he bought a thunderstone with his birthday money and evolved Rachel into her final form.

The next two years he performed around his hometown with his companion. During this time he also managed to catch an eevee that had been coming to their backyard frequently. When he turned 20, he decided to start roaming Voplath in order to make more money and maybe getting a few new pokemon friends.

Bio: When Jace was a child, his father left for the Great War, leaving a young Riolu with Jace. Everyone in his home town thought that Riolu was puny, and so they picked on Jace and his Pokemon. Wanting to prove everyone wrong, Jace began training with Rio, what he called his Riolu, working hard to make him strong. In the process, Jace became quite strong as well. Jace and Rio formed a strong bond over the years as they trained, and the two became more than just partners, they were truly friends.

When Jace was 18, he was offered a job at the [insert city here] gym, where he trained under the great fighting type master. He helped other trainers as they passed by, teaching and working with them to make them even better on their way to the Elite Four. He was often asked if he ever wished to challenge the Elite Four, but he was happy where he was, training with Rio and helping others. Jace did travel a bit, but only to see friends and family, as well as to train with his Pokemon team.

At the age of 23, Jace's mentor and boss stepped down as the gym leader, and offered the position to Jace, who readily accepted.

Bio:
When Lexia was young, she felt like she was weak. Weaker then those around her. She was bullied in school which blossomed many insecurities within her, none which a child should ever have at such a small age. She showed however a peculiar connection to Pokemon, as she seeked comfort with them rather then other people and her parents. Lexia was already distant from her parents, who worked long hours through the weeks. Her dad was a business man for a manufacturing company and her mother worked in the same company as a secretary - neither which hardly acknowledged their daughter. This left Lexia under the care of a nanny called Nona, who was also very neglectful.

It was in her late teens when she properly ventured out into the world of Pokemon. She became a successful Pokemon trainer, speeding through four gyms before being approached by Team Sound. They offered her a deal to build up her confidence and to give her true power, to form new friendships. Lexia, naive at the time, naturally accepted and ran away from her parents.

Over the course of her years with Team Sound, Lexia was obedient and helped the rest of members with their schemes. She worked under them for ten years straight, working her way into the stronger ranks. She grew in strength and her connection to her Pokemon grew as well. It was however, in the later years that she saw some of the darker atrocities that the organization committed. This was when she realized that it was all wrong. She shouldn't be working for such people who were committing aggressions against Pokemon. This was when she decided to go rogue and turned onto the organization itself.

Now she works to usurp any plots and schemes put forward by the team. She sees it as the greater good for Pokemon kind - Sometimes she even works in conjunction with the police. Another ambition she has now is to work her way into the Pokemon league.

I would like to officially throw my hat into the ring:

Gym Leader

Name: Margaret (Maggie) MacLeod
Type Specialization: Dark
Age: 31
Gender: Female
Appearance: The woman.

Bio:
Margaret MacLeod, called Maggie by a very certain few, is an urban woman of high social standing in Noir. Some call her a Femme Fatale, but while her past is boring as hell, she much rather has it as a mystery:
Born to a woman of the middle class and her husband, an accountant for one of the completely and utterly legal warehouses at the harbour, Maggie's parents never really had to worry about money, but they instilled her with a fierce dislike for wasting anything coming close to ressources. While her mother stayed a house wife, her father rose up in the ranks of his completely legal company and sometimes went to visit his boss, taking her along on Don Corleone's insistance, because the old man like children and loved to have his grandkids and the kids of his employees play with each other. It made people loyal.
Maggie soon understood this, as some kids in her play-circle were replaced.
She got her first Pokémon, an Eevee, together with the other kids one christmas as a present from Don Corleone, which made them even more loyal. He is, as of today, long retired, but did so as an Umbreon after making his Mistress a Gym Leader and serving her for several years.

As she grew older, Maggie grew up to be a beautiful woman, dated the son and heir to Don Corleone, Mario, but they both seperated on good terms, as they agreed, that childhood romance wasn't a good thing. However, Maggie learned to use her female charms, her beauty and her silver tongue to aachieve a position of high standing, much to her father's dismay as he wanted her to take up an honest occupation for the new Don.
With 17, and therefore rather late, Maggie set out on her Pokémon Journey, challenged a few Gyms, even managed to talk one Gym Leader in giving her a badge without battle, but nothing ever really came off it. She returned two years later with a few new companions and a whole lot of memories and trinkets, but nothing major.
When she was 20, the old Don died. She and many other people attended the funeral, it nearly became a public day of mourning as the old Don had been very much liked for his fairness and charity work. Her childhood friend became the new Don, continued on his father's path, but had a few problems along the way:
He simply lacked the authority of his father, all charities were more seen like brownnosing, even if he just continued his father's businesses. Maggie's father soon became the go-to-figure for all the shadier persons of Noir, which no one, him included, really liked. He struck a deal with the new Don, diverting some funds to helping people under the hand, but he stayed inder his command and at his side, for as nice as a person the new Don was, he needed an administrator.
With this, Maggie's social standing skyrocketed, her social demands nearly leaving no time for training her Pokémon, less of an obligation as an owner, but more of a hobby.

However, as much as her father tried and as hard as Mario tried, Noir, a formerly calm city with a few shadier elements, became home to gambling and other undesireables, the Pokémon Illegal Import business of the old Don took a more smugglerish turn, meaning far worse conditions for the Pokémon, and the police soon became underfunded as the charity work, which helped the city a whole lot, began to dwindle away.
To bring order back a bit of order to the city, and to stop the illegal fight clubs, Maggie applied to build her own Gym with 25, challenged the Gyms of the region in order to proof, that she knew, what she was doing, and managed to challenge the Elite Four with 28 - being defeated nearly instantly. However, her show of passion and iron will, as well as the love for her Pokémon and her silver tongue, earned her the commission.
Living a bit away from her parents' home in her own two-flat near a park, Maggie makes a good living with being a Gym Leader and public person in Noir, keeping the rising crime rates a bit in check with her Pokémon Firepower where the Police doesn't dare to go and accepting challengers in her "gym", which is an open air area in the park, cornered by flagstones. Getting an appointment isn't as hard as it sounds, especially for mid-level trainers.
Focussed on "seeing, what can't be seen", on darkness and deceit, the Gym is a magnet for shadier people. Betting on Gym Matches is permitted, as long as 10% of the pot goes to the Gym (half of which is used for charity). Frequent guests on the 'lounge' (a few benches, a little bit elevated to the right side, right behind the referee), are Mario Corleone and his wife, as well as her parents and an ice cream vendor.
As a side-occupation, Maggie keeps the more shadier side of Noir in check, being up to her neck in these businesses, together with the Mafia. She sometimes requests a bit of administrative assistance of challengers in exchange for a badge. However, that rarely happens as her Pokémon have excellent ways of gathering information without being seen.

Maggie herself is a classical femme fatale, mysterious, beautiful and charming, but with her own little agenda, besides keeping Noir safe, enchanting people with her silvery tongue, but not standing above lies and coercion to reach her goals. What other Gym Leaders or even the Elite Four think of her interests her only in so far as to keep their support and her commission.

Rules of the Gym:
The Noir City Gym will always fight 3 on 3 (all three matches will be fought), with no substitutions by anyone and no Mega-Evolutions by anyone. Legendary and Mythical Pokémon are not permitted as well.
All fights take place in the Noir City Park, neither Gym Leader nor Challenger are permitted to bet on the outcome. Extra care is advised in fights in front of an audience. All damages to life, limb or property are on the Challenger (be careful with the ice cream vendor, he has a Beartic with Superpower, Frost Breath and Icicle Crash. And the popcorn guy isn't a good idea as well.).
An official league referee will be referee for the match-up.
The Challenger must make a personal appointment with the Gym Leader.
The Gym Leader will use the appropriate team by considering the number of the Challenger's badges. The Challenger has a right of free joice in regards of his/her team. The Challenger is required to get his Pokémon checked by the local Pokémon Centre and certified as healthy and fit for battle. The certificate is to be handed to the referee before the battle. Both Challenger and Gym Leader have to announce their teams before the start of the match. Unused Pokémon might watch for training purposes, but any direct interference by them will be seen as a forfeit.
If the Gym Leader has a different challenge in mind for the trainer in order for him to get a badge, it is at the Gym Leader's discretion to give this challenge. The Challenger has the right to insist on a battle.
Special rules or altered rules can be made after previous talks between the Challenger and the Gym Leader reaching an agreement.

I have an idea for a near-unstoppable team. It's too good for an Elite Four member, though... Perhaps more of a Team Sound boss.... or another criminal organization?

Elite Four

Name: Fervis
Type Specialization: Fire Type
Age: 25
Gender: Male
Appearance:

Bio: Fervis always had a love for Fire types and their fiery nature. He also liked how each region had a fire type starter that was unique and couldn't easily be found anywhere else. When he was ten he traveled to each region and received a fire type starter from each professor and then proceeded to train them to there final evolution. When he was 15 he went back to his home region, Volpath, and challenged the gyms and Pokémon League.

He managed to defeat the Elite Four but couldn't beat the Champion. However, the Champion and the Elite Four were impressed by his skill and care for his Pokémon that they offered him a spot on the Four when one of them retired. Five years later, the third Elite Four member retired and Fervis was called in to take his place. He took the position and sees every challenger as a way for him to get strong, win or lose. Being a member of the Elite Four he has some free time on his hands, he uses it to travel the region a bit and give advice and battles to trainers he meets.

Well there is no level system.

Okay, then just really weak ones, where one-hit KOs should be imminent, except for the Focus Slash

Though I would probably replace Shaymin-Sky with an actual partner that ISN'T intended to faint.
