Boy with broken arm arrested by Israeli army?

Postby The Republic of Pantalleria » Sun Aug 30, 2015 7:21 am

This is probably one of the most disturbing things I've seen yet...
How on Earth can this happen? I mean a full grown man choke holding an eleven year old boy WITH A BROKEN ARM???
This is despicable, it makes me sick because this is the same army that I supported against Hamas, but now if this is what they do... Then maybe those attacks weren't so bad afterall...

Their is no excuse for Hamas's attacks. They are just pointless violence that escalates the situation and cause more suffering.
"Our progress in degeneracy appears to me to be pretty rapid. As a nation, we began by declaring that "all men are created equal." We now practically read it "all men are created equal, except negroes" When the Know-Nothings get control, it will read "all men are created equal, except negroes, and foreigners, and Catholics." When it comes to this I should prefer emigrating to some country where they make no pretence of loving liberty -- to Russia, for instance, where despotism can be taken pure, and without the base alloy of hypocracy." - President Abraham Lincoln.

Okay if violent struggle does nothing and peaceful struggle does an even bigger nothing how the heck should the Palestinians take their lands back?

Both sides are bad, none of them fight for a good cause and only adds to the suffering of the Civilians. Hell even Syria and Iran no longer trust Hamas.

I suppose it just returns to the question of equity, is it fair that the Israeli population should suffer, and is it fair for the Palestinians to suffer, and if neither is fair, then why have a Government that only allows for the suffering of either one or the other or even both as opposed to finding concrete solutions to counter any future threats, I mean decades ago the Gaza Israeli border was as open as the Canadian-American border and peace was the law, but now, we're seeing violence escalate through terrorist attacks and counter military reprisals...

They were trying to hold the Soldier back from grabbing the boy. I don't see how the soldier is innocent especially if out of all the people that were there he took hold of a boy. Also the Soldier is clearly the only one with a gun in the situation whereas everyone is unarmed.

Their is no quick solution, as painful and unfair as that may be. And if by "take their lands back", you mean "Israel no longer exists", well, that's not going to happen short of an exceptionally horrific war, because if it came to it Israel would probably break out nukes.

You're going to need less extreme leadership on both sides and gradual deescalation, probably under the guidance of an outside mediator (unfortunately, I'm not sure the US or the west generally has much credibility in that role now).

If Hamas was in the best interest of all Palestinians, they would set up a organized government, cooperate with Palestine leadership to help protect the people. They would stop launching missiles into Israel, and attempt to negotiate with Israel.

The Israeli soldier didn't go far enough in my view, the child and all of the women should've been arrested so they'll think twice about setting up or attending another protest. There should be no tolerance for Palestinian activism in Israel. The citizens of that nation should all be on the same page that they aren't going anywhere and the Arabs can cry and whine about wanting to expel the Jews into the sea of Galilee all they want, but it'll never happen.

Emm they already tried that with Clinton being the mediator and the Israelis back out last minute?

The Israelis are unlawfully oppressing and occupying Palestinian land. You think they want to negotiate paying or giving any reimbursement or lands back?

Hamas is far from having the best interest of the people at heart, they only exist for the destruction of the state of Israel, and as such is a terrorist organisation... However, the Israeli military seems to be a tad bit aggressive and uses excessive force in their missions, so much so that it's erasing the perception of being the victim and instead painting them as just as bad as the terrorists who attack them in the first place...

Already said the US tried that it failed not by the Hamas but by the fucking Israelis backing out of the deal.

If Israel backed out of a deal, it must've been bad for them if they agreed. Unlike the US which enters into detrimental deals like NAFTA, Israel is smarter than to agree to what will hurt them more in the long term. If they are the ones with leverage, why not use it to their further advantage?

Yes, he didn't say that it had great civil rights either, remember being a democracy and a civil nation are two different things that can occur independent of each other... Also he said that in the 60s, before Israel became all... What's the word that I'm looking for... Nazi like...

Yes because Zionism is totally democratic even if it means putting down protests using Soldiers armed with rifles,Tear gas, rubber bullets and all sorts of military grade equipment compared to the Palestinian protesters (Not counting the armed insurgent groups such as Hamas and the PFLP) who are only armed with rocks and whatever they have.
