Start to Finish: An Odd Story About My Time in the Army

Introductions:
Hello everyone, I'm Achidyemay, and I'm coupling with the Brilliant Empire of Donner land to bring his latest RP idea to life. This Interest/World-Building thread has been created as a result of this. We want to open our discussion up to the public, in order to get the best possible result that we can work towards. So if you have any ideas then please share them. There are a few areas that I'd like to tell you about. Firstly, "The Story So Far" Section will give you the heads up on what has been made canon. Keep in mind, though, that everything is somewhat up for debate until the actual RP launches! "Current Battles" Showcases the topics that are currently being debated. "Da Rules" Is the rules, you have to follow them here, despite what they say about love and war...

The Story So Far
Probably around MT 2023 about a group of people that are recruited into the military of a land that we'll create go to training and meet each other. There they forge relationships. Make enemies with people or friends. Then they are shipped out later to a different place that needs creation. Pretty much follows a group of people from training to combat in a Band of brothers sort of style I guess.

The Official Acronym is S2F:OSAMTA, btw, provided by the Lovely Shyluz

And here is our theme.

Current Battles
The Lore, and World building. This is all very new.
Assignments for the layouts of the governments, economies, and rough terrains of the 6 nations that will be of importance.

There's only one, let's see if you all can follow it.

This means recognize other people's ideas as if they were your own. Dissension is fine, slander is never okay.

I know a guy that can make a Map. If you cant I'll contact him. Looking for a world map. Shows continents and the like.

The war our characters get sent into should probably be ignited over somthing like a commercial aircraft being shot down. But should the characters be on the Defencive or Offencive side?

I can get behind that, adding more to that story, would the plane be something like the Lusitania and have the country the Players in drawn into the war by this, or maybe something more like the plane crashed on it's own, but the country refuses to let the Players' Country get their flight-box back or even outright admits to shooting it down, thus igniting a grudge war that's been wanted for many years by one of the two countries (perhaps both).

Edit: Alright, I've made some maps that I thought looked good. I'm partial to the third one and I'll try to add geopolitical lines later once we've picked 'em. My image editing skills are not strong, though...

hmm... Well. I can assign some basic things to those names, but I'll leave who you want to fight for and against up to you, since you have more experience with that sort of thing than I do.

Cailean
A very moderate republic it is considered to be extremely religious and traditional. It's government is formed up of the Grand Assembly, which consists of a massive council of Senators that are elected locally.

Prochorus
A Rupublic with a strong democratic background, it is defined by its patriotic nature and its pension for overreaction. It's government is divided into three main branches and it is headed by a President that is also the Commander-In-Chief.

Bakema
Bakema is a federation and remarkable for its extremely local government style with almost all of its power resting in the leaders of the city-states that make it up, each city-state has a varying "specialty" if you will and civil wars are almost commonplace.

Stylianos (STOOL-ian-os) --
- Somehow, they've managed to create a nation with very little political upset, despite being a pure aristocratic oligarchy, where the presidents of the three main corporations (Revo Heavy Industries, Aaron Pharmaceuticals, and Reaver & Thompson Aerospace) form the three heads of state each corporation controlling one aspect, AP being admin and social welfare, RHI being defense and industry, and R&TA being in charge of the rest. Smaller corporations make up the Corporate Parliament, which handles the day to day operations of the Stylianos Corporate Republic.

The nation's primary means of funds comes from the corporations, but the export of the huge amounts of titanium found in the Stylianic Alps, as well as the export of pharmaceuticals and research. However, due to the aristocratic government's iron grip of trade secrets, a whole underground society exists of people who steal them, known as Datarunners, who steal secrets and sell them to the highest bidder, be them be nations or rival corporations.

However, they are fought by the Corporate Security Agency, who defends each corporation, and other than the Corporate Parliament, is the only national organization.
