Isles of Azoria Hosting Bid

Postby The Isles of Azoria » Mon Jul 27, 2015 11:16 am

It is with great pleasure and enthusiasm from the Azorian Sports & Entertainment Commission (ASEC), along with the Azorian Royal Family, to present The Isles of Azoria's bid to host the First Edition of the CFN World Cup.

First we would like to present you with the logo that will be used to represent the tournament:
Image

The logo's aquatic features represent The Isles of Azoria's nautical history and geography. The motto for the tournament will be "Have Fun. Make History", we believe that those words come together to reflect the very nature of what this tournament is about. We want all participating nations to make history, especially in the first edition of the CFN World Cup, but first and foremost, we want all nations to have fun! The CFN World Cup official songs to accompany the event is "Heroes" by Mans Zelmerlow https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-nbq6Ur103Q and "Forca" by Nelly Furtado https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jCa8Ni-8yAg which will be performed at the opening and closing ceremonies.

Now we will move on to the cities and stadiums that will be partaking in the hosting of this event. These Azorian cities have been selected by the ASEC and the AFA because they will showcase to the CFN all that The Isles of Azoria has to offer. They represent every region throughout this great nation. The citizens of these cities are eager for the CFN to come to our beautiful nation to show their warmth and hospitality.Without further a due here are the eight cities and stadiums:

Image

Stadium Capacities:
Azoria National Stadium (St. Michael) - 94,736 Site for the Final Match & Closing Ceremony
FC Belem Stadium (Belem) - 75,000
Green Acres Stadium (Santa Cruz) - 65,205
Harbour Stadium (St. George) - 60,000
Isle of Mariana Stadium (Las Palmas) - 58,565
Praia International Stadium (Praia) - 68,700
Queen Isabella Vitoria Stadium (Hamilton) - 80,290 Site for the First Match & Opening Ceremony
Rei Henrique Stadium (Cidade Henrique) - 70,460

On to the transportation and accommodations...first the players of all the national teams will be transported from their hotels to the stadiums by Hyundai Buses (Aero Style). Each bus will say 'CFN World Cup I' on it as well as the team slogan. The buses will also be customized in your nation's colors. Here is a sample of what the buses will look like:

Image

Getting to The Isles of Azoria can be made by our high-tech and efficient international airport, some of the best in the world.
Image
Image
Image

Traveling between the isles will be made easy and convenient by means of our jet service. All tourists with a tickets to the World Cup will be given free rides from all of the isles so that they can follow their teams where ever they play.
Image

Now, if you do not need to travel by jet because your team's next match is only an isle away..well we have a ferry service for fans to hop to neighboring isles.
Image

You can see that traveling to and from The Isles of Azoria as well as within the nation will be done by means of innovative and efficient modes of transportation. While staying in and around the cities guests will have the convenience of using our rapid metro systems, taxis and buses.

We would like to at this time turn over to some pictures of our accommodations and host cities:

Digital Cascade Entry

Postby Digital Cascade » Thu Jul 30, 2015 3:35 pm

THE DIGITAL CASCADE WOULD LIKE TO PRESENT OUR COLLECTIVE'S INFORMATION REGARDING THE CFN WORLD CUP:

WE HAVE DECIDED NOT TO MAKE A BID FOR ENTRY, GIVEN OUR LOCATION IN A FROZEN WASTELAND.

error_repaired - Caps Lock now disabled

Sorry about that. We submit our home team, composed in the very best athletes in a nation of computer scientists, Internet Freedom Fighters and Hackers (hey, don't underestimate us!) Here we present our MIGHTY team, the Kilobytes!

LOGO:

Image

Meaning: The Kilobyte, a unit of data, is of special significance to our people, as it was in a humble 1KB text file of code that the process of creating the New Internet was initiated. The Binary is the teams motto 'VICTORY IN SUPERIORITY'. However, folks on the BBSs of our nation often call them the Bytes, or more sinisterly, the Killerbytes.

Organisation: As we have no football league of our own, this team is assembled by a mathematical formula that tested volunteers for skill, fitness and team skills. They have trained together for some time, and this plucky team of geeks is ready to take on the world's best!

THE ROSTER:

Note: End Users in the Digital Cascade choose their own Usernames, which they use in everyday life, so the names may seem odd to Outsiders.

IMPORTANT:
I assume (and would quite like) this to be a mixed-gender competition, and can provide genders for players if this is the case, but if it is single gender, feel free to take them as that as well, they don't mind. :D

In order to prevent The Corporations from interfering with results, as they tend to do, we can offer all technological equipment necessary for the competition.

Note:
If you find the tone of this odd, it's in character, feel free to read my nation bio for more information! Let me know if I forgot something!

The first pot will be drawn with the first selection being the host nation sitting in position A1. The rest of pot 1 will be drawn into groups B-D. After pot 1 we will draw pot 4, pot 3 and finally pot 2. The draw will be completed by simulation. We will also draw the teams in their respective positions within the groups, between 1-4. Once the draw is complete we will have one team from each of the pots in each of the groups. The group and position will determine the order of matches for each nation. Now that we have briefly explained how the draw will work, let's begin. As we have already said, Isles of Azoria will be placed in Group A, positon 1."
