My opinion? Well, I'm of the radical belief that porn should be legal, but also have strict guidelines imposed by the government so that porn is produced safely and consensually. I know, I know, too progressive. I'm a pioneer for my era.

Any porn that doesn't involve non-consenting individuals should absolutely be legal. As to the issue of its production and management, porn definitely is primarily produced by and for cisgender heterosexual men, and it is not uncommon for women to end up being treated as sex objects as a result. Now I will be clear, sexual objectification is not wrong in fantasies or when people consent to act out objectification as a form of role play, though there definitely is some harm to the default prescription of women as sex objects. Of course, this isn't just a problem of porn, but is an issue of the depiction of women in media in general, and I would argue that the objectification that happens in porn is far more acceptable than what happens in mass media in general. Still, while I don't think legislation is really the answer for the issue, I greatly support the movements within the porn industry and by independent porn produces to create porn by and for women, trans people, queer people, people of color, overweight people, and disabled people. Alternative porn is great for promoting better treatment of those in it, and in my personal opinion is miles ahead when it comes to actual quality.

As a religious guy, I personally find porn distasteful. Now that I've made that clear, I don't see that there's any reason to prohibit it. Obviously child porn and "revenge porn" should be illegal, as well as anything depicting rape, even if it's staged. Beyond that, it really isn't any religion's job to be the world's moral police, so I see no reason why porn, within certain boundaries, shouldn't be perfectly legal.
