2nd Interstellar Assembly (IU Only)

Postby Exaequation Alliance » Thu Jun 04, 2015 2:00 pm

It was another beautiful day on earth. But the Alliance delegate, DP-441, was very angry. An Usatuna delegate was also present, named Jffco Hjicklerticteklatdo. His last name -and first name for that matter- was almost impossible to pronounce due to the rather complex language Usatunans speak, and so most people referred to him as "J" or "H." The Alliance was busy rebuilding the Usatunan home world and installing a planetary defense system on all Alliance planets. Indeed, an invasion of such magnitude would never be allowed again. DP-441 had already rehearsed what he wanted to say to the Numenerans. After all, it was the Numenerans who kept the existence of the Venu Empire a secret from the Terran powers.

Clovis Rodrieguez enteren flanked by two Characa Class guard androids. He had only just left for the meeting, and was a little grumpy over not being allowed to take part in the festivities back home.

He however kept his composure and greeted the delegates

Grand Admiral Speares entered into the room. "Ugh. I don't even know why I attend these things. I'm not even from this galaxy." His two Hek'ell stood behind Speares as he sat down. While Speares was human-like (called Lithuinians), the Hek'ell were all clones which were grown out of a test tube. They were meant to be ruthless and were coded to revere the Lithuinians as gods. They functioned as the main ground soldiers for the Empire and were given heightened senses and strength. Their intelligence is somewhat limited, however are still very competent in battle against enemies. They are feared for their merciless way they kill their enemies: Hek'ells eat their enemies alive.

A bright light appeared in the assembly room temporarily blinding all who were in it. Once the light was clear the delegates can see Aura was there still using the same angelic elfish morph from the last meeting but now with several new delegates with her as well. The first one to catch the other delegates attention was what appeared to be a Roswell grey wearing black grey military attire sitting in a hovering chair, of course it was easy to say that the grey is an alien but in truth within the alien body was a human mind who simply choose this morph for both it's mental and vision enhancements. Next to the grey was a small saucer shaped drone that moved down and hover just a few feet close to touching the ground, a holographic projection of a figure wear a white hooded robe with crimson on the ends and sleeves, the figure was wearing a mask with only things registering as facial markings are two holes for eyes and one for a mouth, the expression is either one of sorrow or anger sense it's rather hard to tell what sort of emotion the mask was depicting. The other transhumans to be in the room was a Minotaur from ancient greeco roman lore, but of course like the alien this mythical beast is to a transhuman who choose to have a rather unique morph for one reason or another. The next person was at least close to being human in appearance, if one was to ignore that jet black skin with strange white symbols tattooed on the woman's flash, the red eyes and the sharp chisel like teeth when she smiles. That and the strange blend of organic and mechanical parts that can be seen by the Relians show that the two parts appear to be perfectly fused well instead of grafted on, like she was born with metal parts.

The next on in was a raven the size of a small human child and who's wings were structured to be similar to that of a bat while still appear as that of a ordinary raven wings. The next was a morph based on the tall cone-shaped being known as the Great Race of Yith, the morph based on it is about human sized since most Yith tend to be rather large, too large to fit in the room that they are in. Unlike the grey alien this altered morph does indeed possess an actual Yithian mind inside. Other delegates include the fungiod insect like creatures called Mi-Gos, a swarm of flying nanomachines that always change shape and a rather normal looking dark skin man wearing a suit and another alien who's appearance is that of a deep sea flying capable headless animal called a To'ul'hs.

"We got your message for our people to come and like last time we still don't understand how your people manage to find a way into our network but that is for a later meeting, we're here for a more serious topic at hand." Aura said for the most part she along with the other delegates are staying calm despite the fact that this meeting is about them withholding vital information that lead to a tragic invasion.

Zollin Deimos, flanked on both sides by Imperial Guardsmen, strolled into the room while the other delegates mingled. Having never been to the first Interstellar Assembly, he was unsure what exactly he should expect from the meetings and discussions that were to come. Despite not knowing, and not necessarily having high hopes for the meeting, the Emperor had directed him to attend, and he could not refuse. As the Overseer of Intergalactic Affairs, he had to do many things that he would rather not.

Zollin moved to take a seat in one of the many chairs throughout the room, awaiting the conversations that would take place between the delegates.

Vasili Rayne walked into the meeting room, followed by the other Petrokovian delegates.

DP-441 looked around the room. "Well, it looks like that is everyone who will be attending. We need to discuss this Venu crisis." He looked over at Aura. "Where did they get you're kind of technology? We analyzed it and they are incredibly similar, uh... and don't ask bout how we know about your technology... Why did you not tell anyone of the Venu's existence. You need to explain this."

Aura was thankfull for both the biomeds inside her for calming her down and for her general calm nature cause if it wasn't for those two chances are she would have made an outburst once she heard about them knowing about arcanotech, of course General Ironside, the Minotaur-like transhuman and Moros the robed hologram figure didn't keep their cool. "HOW IN THE UNIVERSE DID YOU ANALYZE OUR TECHNOLOGY?!" shouted the two of them, before they can continue on the grey alien among the group stopped them. "Right now the matter of whether or not they stole a piece of our technology isn't the main subject of this meeting, it is the Venu invasion that happen at Usatuna. As for why we never told you of the existence of the Venu was because we made them irrelevant to the galaxy for our people, yours and every other civilization out in the Milky Way." said the grey as he pressed several lights on his chair, releasing a few flying spheres than began to project a three dimensional map of the galaxy, only the map was different from what is the current model. "You see before your people ever manage to make the planets and moons on your system habitable the Venu ruled a interstellar theoretic empire who's xenophobic ideals on other civilizations caused the destruction of many civilizations, infact a few ruins that your people may find my be victims of the old Venu Empire."

On the holo map a small replica of the Numeneran Herald-class diplomacy shuttle blinked into existence. "As for how they manage to get their hands on our technology we believe that an old disappearance case relating to one of our Heralds may be tied to this event as the last known location it was in before losing contact with us was in a system that at the time was own by the Venu, at the time we didn't know about them. You have to understand one thing about us, just as the Venu empire predated the rise of your current civilizations our was around far longer before the word Venu even meant anything." he said as the Herald enter a system that was color black to represent a Venu held territory, once it entered it disappeared. "Of course as you all would know the Venu would of course attack us and during the first year they manage to take a few of our systems only because they had the element of surprise at their hand, but as you all say of the current form once that element was gone we ultimately won the war." The yith in the room spoke this time, much to the other delegates surprise it spoke without a mouth. "At first we only fought them simply in self defense, even in their height we still viewed them as a young civilization trying to make itself dominate in the cosmos, not knowing that in this universe that were and are powers far greater than both them and even us. However when we began to know more about them we realize that they were a great danger to other lifeforms in this galaxy. So during the war we made sure that many of their most advance technology was either destroyed or lost to them, tampered their genes as to weaken the Venus themselves and force them all back to their home system, of course fighting them even after weaking them was fighting a infestation of vermins."

The man who was the most human looking of the group now spoke. "Now as for how they manage to copy our technology our best guess is that somewhere in the Venu's homeworld lies the ruins of some long forgotten civilization who's technology was similar to ours and the Venu may have been studying the technology in those suppose ruins for all these years along with the technology in the Herald ship that they stole until finally they manage to make a working replica of our FTL drive. As for the ruins in question we have neither evidence to prove nor disprove the existence of such ruins but we find this theory the most possible."

DP-441 looked at Aura. "I said please don't ask how we know. Its... classified..." Jffco Hjicklerticteklatdo interrupted and stood up in anger. Each one of his 52 eyes independently moved about, and at least one eye each focused on each of the delegates. "Are you saying that your people thought that they were not a threat anymore!? They killed hundreds of my people! We were a planet of peace and had hardly any defenses! And they come waltzing by and say that my planet was theirs? And you thought they weren't an issue anymore? Like hell they were!" DP-441 tried to calm Hjicklerticteklatdo down, with little success.

"Please, you must excuse H for his emotional outbursts. He is an Usatunan after all." DP-441 said.

"I don't care how long you and them have been strolling the galaxy! I demand reparations from your government! No excuses!" Hjicklerticteklatdo sat down mumbling to himself.

Ironside responded back to the Usatuna delegate with similar anger. "Why should we pay reparations for damages cause by a bunch of vermins, if anything your own people helped in the destruction by not having any forms of defenses. I mean come on even the space hippies that we encountered once had major defense systems encase they were ever threaten by some would be conquer!" shouted the chimera general only to be interrupted by the grey again. "General if you make an outburst like that again I will strip you of your rank." the grey said getting ironside to back down, letting the normal looking man to speak forth. "As for their claims of owning your world you see there is infact truth to their claim. Back in the days of the old empire the planet that wold become Usatuna was an old world that apparently it was once a simply mining world used by an old trading empire belonging to a race of being calls Qax, we had meetings with them before and while our relationships was sour enough to have a few small scale planetary proxy wars our disagreements called for us to wage a full scale interstellar or god forbid a intergalatic war, we saw no benefits in such events." he said for while the thought of the two groups waging such a war entered his mind but he quickly pushed it aside, now was not the time to think of such things.

"Well going back to Usatuna, you see what happened to this empire was that they became the first victims of Venu and once they were done destroying the empire that the Qax made they conquered both the systems and planets that they had along with planets held by their clients. We knew that they have gone after clients of the Qax empire because one of the technologies that the once possessed was a machine that can bring life to dead and sterile worlds, I mean how else would a world that was nothing more but a mine world suddenly have oceans and forests. In a sick twist of irony life in your world was created by the Venu, granted I don't think they had it in their minds to allow intelligent life be born in Usatuna." The man than stopped talking as sent in a message to the ship orbiting the earth to send down the information that he was requesting. Soon the computers in the rooms notified that a email just arrived. "The message that just arrived are images taken from the planet after my people took control of it, they show the ruins of cities, statues and other traces that the Venu did at one point own the planet, right now those ruins are gone since we made sure that there would be nothing left of the Venu's presences on that world."

After he was done talking the swarm of nanomachines began to take a solid shape, the shape was humaniod and by appearance was androgynous, the figure also blue in just about every part of it's body, hair, eyes, tongue and even skin, the only part wasn't blue was it's teeth which remained white. "Now that we got that bit of Venu and Usatuna history out the next question is the matter of reparations, in what way do you want us to repay your people cause if the matter is money than without knowing how your economy works than we may not be able to repay your people in that form. Our economy is revolves around nanofabrication and transmutation, because of those two we only have three forms of economic systems that exist in the Commonality."

"Attacking a nation and blaming it's destruction on its lack of defenses is the dumbest argument I've heard in my entire life." the Petrokovian delegate said. "Though, I don't have much in the matter. After all, Petrokovia's been isolationist for the past 153 years. The only contact we've had was with Exaequatio, and even at that, it was limited."

The grey responded to the Pertokovian delegate. "Believe me most of us here don't have the same idea as General Ironside and if he cares for his career in the AIF than he will apologize for his statement and would refrain from saying anything similar in this meeting, once he out of the meeting he can say whatever he wants away from us and this planet." said the grey, it's large black eyes staring at the Minotaur general with what can be best described as a glare. The chimera general sighed "I apologize for my ignorant comment and I will refrain from saying to that vain every again in any future meetings." he said, trying not to grind his teeth in rage.

DP-441 spoke in his usual, genial tone. "Well actually, intelligent life never evolved on Usatuna. You see the Usatunan evolved on aother planet. But their home world was about to be destroyed when their star entered into its red giant phase. So the Alliance moved all of them to another planet, which was of course named Usatuna. It lacked any animal life, but was however filled with lush plant life. So now that we got that small detail settled. I--" He was then cut off by Hjicklerticteklatdo.

"For Yahova's sake! You kept vital information from us! And you sit there smug and arrogant and blame it on us?!" He slammed one of his ten tentacle-like appendages on the table, which knocked over a glass of blue milk. "I can't believe this!"

DP-441 continued. "Well don't worry about reparations," he said to the various Numeneran delegates. "We can rebuild their cities worth no issues. In fact most of the infrastructure survived. Reparations are technically impossible any way, since Usatuna is a member of the Alliance, and the Alliance has no true economy." He paused and gathered his thoughts. "I do agree however, that you need to disclose any other possible threat to the galaxy. We can't have something like this happen again."

He looked over at Rayne, "Yes we are aware of your isolationist trend in your nation. We suffer the same fate too, and seems many others join us in this 'galactic isolationist' viewpoint. Personally, I find it overall negative to the development of our nations and the well being of the galaxy. Which is why I propose a cultural alliance between all nations who wish to participate." DP-441 just came up with that out of no where, and merely said it to sound diplomatic. He was hoping no one would take him up on this 'cultural pact' as other wise he would have to wing it and come up with the provisions on the spot.

Zollin leaned forward in his chair, and after taking a drink of something in a glass that was sat in front of him, turned his attention to DP-441. "Although I cannot directly speak for the Emperor, I am here as his representative, and as that representative I believe that the Imperium would be more than willing to become less isolationist and open trade, as well as possibly take part in whatever else it is you have in mind. If you would like, I can act as a messenger, or, if he is free, you could speak to him yourself at a later time."

The Numeneran delegates didn't say much, after all they were all using their cyber telepathic connection to the Akashic Network. Each one debating rapidly on what to respond to this new deal and which information should be revealed. In the end the was the first to respond to the other delegates.

"In matters of possible threats we have discussed which one would poss a greater threat to your people and we decided that there is one that we can share due to how fast it can infest a civilization." He said showing a holographic image of a pigeon size wasp like creature with mutilpe membran wings, four eyes and tentacle-like legs. "These are the I sects of Shaggai or Shan as we tend to call them. They are a race of hedionisc space fairing creatures from the now destroyed world of Shaggai. The Shan mostly travel from world to world landing on worlds with intelligent life forms and by using a native ability called "Kirilian Phasing" are able to phase through solid matter and take control of their victims. They do this because for them the chemicals within organic brains acts as a drug to them and they often control their victims to perform actions that produce more chemical reactions for them to feed on, unsurprisingly most people infected with a Shan are often confused for having a split personality." The grey stopped for a while most likely to catch his breath as Moros took in charge.

"From what we have experience there seems to be several factions to the Shans, those that which to travel from one world to the next to experience hedionisc delights, others wanting to control those worlds for themselves or to restore their old empire that fail once their world was destroyed." From here the blue humanoid figure spoke. "You are right that we are isolantist when it comes to your civilizations and we have our reasons form them, reasons that we wish to keep classified. However we are willing to work something out once we know more of your cultural ideas. Also with money not being the main form of reparation than in what form do you wish us to repay you in?"

Speaking of Technology, spoke the Unionian, We ourselves tested technology that they claimed to of captured from you. he continued, When they came back after testing your, I guess way of FTL travel, they went absolutely mental. We still have them contained and we're still trying to fix them. Want to explain to us what caused this? he finished.

The nanomachine made figure flinched along with the others when they heard the Unionians having a piece of their tech, in this moment they are being reminded of a certain race that also had a habit of leaving behind their own technology for other races to find, though the major difference between them is that while one didn't care what happened to their tech after the abandon it the Numenerans care very much. "Basically what happened to them was that say something that the weren't meant to see. You see the human brain was sculpted by evolution to deal with surviving against predators native to your environment and climbing trees, things like contemplating the true scope of the cosmos isn't something that the brain was made to deal with. We know so cause our brains still have similar reactions to when we engage our FTL Drive without protection, only a few alien races in the Commonality can use our method without protection." it said looking at both the Mi-Go and Yith delegate.

Crap. The robot thought to himself. How am I going to get myself out of this one? "Well, er... I believe a cultural pact would be overall beneficial at making our nations closer. We all sit in our own segmented space in the Milky Way and have virtually no contact. I assume that is due to a multitude of factors, afterall we don't really need to trade with each other due to the vast amount of areas we all occupy or the invention of replicators. So perhaps we can exchange various cultural ideas like dances, language, music, art, that stuff. Perhaps also share some of our technological innovations to one another. I'm sure, due to our isolation, we have all yielded some very different forms of technology."

"I have to agree with the Petrokovian delegate." said Aura. "As for your superiority we have meet races who's very intelligence and technology makes them into gods. If your so superior why is it that this galaxy, let alone this planet even exist now? Surely a superior beings such as yourself would have turned this world into nothing more but building blocks for your ships." she said sarcasm seeping out of her voice. From the first meeting the delegate from IE was the first time she truly met a being that she can hate and while inflecting physical harm isn't her nature she has nothing against insulting the egotistical delegate.

The nanomachine delegate ignoring what Aura is saying to the IE delegate finally spoke. "Some aspects of our culture is tied to our technology which you are right that we have indeed made a form far different than the ones you all us, which is one of the reason we remain isolate from all of you." it said allowing the uplifted raven to speak. "As the Union found out our technology is one that your people aren't ready to deal with." she said after being notified that yet again the other delegates which to speak of the matter privately through their shared cybertelepathic link.

The two Hek'ell stood in front of Speares and got closer to Aura and the other Numeneran delegates. "You will not treat him like that. He IS a god. And so is his entire race." Speares sat quietly in the background, smiling.

Speares then spoke up. "Please come back my children, no need for bloodshed. They are merely lost. We will guide them to the right path soon." He then looked at Aura, "You realize we never intended to destroy earth, you prat. Our ship was never that damaged. Oh I'm so sorry to say, but your puny ships had no affect on the planet killer. If we wanted to destroy earth, we would have done so." He began smiling again with his usual arrogant look.
