Imagine if you went back in time and you had to fight as part of a military unit in World War II on any side. You have to choose a side, a theatre of combat, an organisation, and a role. Explain and justify.

You must fight on the frontline and you cannot be a commander. There must be combat.

I choose to serve as part of the crew of an Australian destroyer in the Pacific as a major gunner. I would like to tour the Pacific Ocean while being able to operate anti-air weapons on the ship. Also, the accents would be really cool. I also like water and the waves. I would also like to fight in battles alongside the USN.

I'd be okay with going down in a great fight against Japanese planes. At least I'd get to see lots of flak munitions exploding from the stuff I'm shooting out with my big guns and lots of metal and fire flying around.

You can't be an officer. An officer is technically a ''commander''

also, I'm not sure if the far east counts as a ''front line.'' Though I suppose it could count if you take part as an infantryman in the Manchuria attack or fight in the Mongolian battles.

Manchukuo was a fucking cakewalk the kwantung army was basically broken at this point. Hell yeah, there's a great front to fight in.
