The year is 2025. Mutations in human DNA are resulting in the birth of humans with unnatural abilities. Abilities range from enhanced senses and strength to telekinesis and weather manipulation. The mutations aren't much more common than down syndrome, but the general population is becoming more and more aware of mutants. Some use their powers for good, some use theirs for evil, others are ostracized because of their uniqueness. A college campus that almost went bankrupt was purchased by Dr. Arnold Weiser and transformed into a high school/college for mutants called Weiser Preparatory School. Mutants are taught general subjects like in high school along with more advanced sciences that help them to better understand DNA and mutation. Students are also trained in combat and over time they learn how to control their powers. Graduates and higher level students are given the opportunity to make money by teaching students or serving as an agent of the school Agents are mutants who are sent out on missions for the school, either to recruit other mutants for the school or to otherwise combat the second faction. Weiser sees his school as the first step to obtaining peace. The intention is to ease the public into an understanding of mutants, seeing them as regular citizens who deserve all the rights and protections of the law. The second faction is the Separatist Movement. The separatists are a group of mutants led by Edgar Geiger, a former friend of Dr. Weiser. Geiger has one mission: peace for the mutants. However, his methods of reaching this goal are much different than Weiser's. Geiger wants to establish the United States as a mutant country where mutants from around the world can come and find peace. They will then operate as an isolationist country and be separate from the rest of the world. Geiger plans on building an army to achieve this goal and thus, is forced to slowly collect followers.

You as an RPer have one of two options. You could be a mutant out in the regular society whom both factions would attempt to recruit. Or you can be an agent of one of the two factions and be sent on missions to recruit mutants. If you pick the first option then you'll likely end up being an agent anyway. If your character is already affiliated with one of the two factions then they must either live at the Weiser Preparatory School in southern Illinois or the Separatist Headquarters in Colorado. No need for a backstory this time. We'll just develop our characters IC. Each person is just allowed one mutant for now. You can RP your character's non-mutant family and friends though.

Flight ability: He can fly by controlling the air around him to both lift and move his body yet he can hardly control how fast or how high he goes when in flight.
Ability to enhance his speed: He can make himself faster yet the faster he goes the less control he has over where exactly he's going.
Control over how fast or slow the air he is controlling at the time goes: He can control the speed of any bursts of air he makes yet the faster the wind is the less control he has over it.
Ability to go into a trance like state when calm: When calm he can go into a state which allows him to feel whatever the burst of air he is currently controlling is touching at the exact moment that it touches whatever it hits. In this state he will be not be responsive to anything that he doesn't feel with the breeze he is currently controlling. Which makes him very vulnerable in such a state.
Note: He doesn't have a very good reaction time and it takes him a few seconds to get into and out of the trance like ability and such a thing is completely impossible if he is under pressure. If he over works himself past his current limit by a significant margin he will will likely faint and lose all control over the wind and if it is ridiculously past his current ability it would likely kill him. He is also best when controlling short yet quick or long yet slow bursts of air. He is still learning how to control the wind so his current ability doesn't stretch very far and using it in large sequences leaves him exhausted.

Short Bio: Alan was born to a large family in 2008 yet his family is rather spread out from one another. From a small town near the border of New York and Pennsylvania Alan is more used to seeing trees then significantly tall buildings. His parents where people who liked to travel yet eventually settled down and had Alan who became a very shy and secluded individual. He hardly saw anything past his town yet he inherited the same need to see something new that both of his parents once had. When his abilities sprouted at a fairly young age he and his parents were horrified yet decided it would be best to keep Alan in school..neither of then looked at him the same way they once did. Alan took to training himself out in the forest whenever he could yet he longed to see something past his hometown. After a powerful out burst of his power when he was in school Alan fled home for fear he might hurt anyone else at the age of sixteen. He has been on the road needing to occasionally steal in order to keep himself alive. Yet he tried to steal only what he needed and he did his best to take what he thought wouldn't be missed or at the very least wouldn't devastate the person's life. He is currently in New York and has been there for some time staying in a rather filthy apartment. He only stays there in hopes that his petty crimes will be over shadowed by far more serious issues.

As the Golden Sentinel he has superhuman strength, can manipulate light, fly, and has a monster of a healing factor.
As Nightmare, He has even greater superhuman strength can manipulate Darkness, fly, and also has an incredible healing factor.

Oh, I forgot to mention something about my girl--some mutant-hating teens played a trick on her when she was younger... they pretended they were insane and were going to cut her into pieces... but there was an accident and they sliced her mouth from ear to ear. So now when she smiles it's really scary. When she's not smiling it's just a faint line, but when she grins it's ghastly. And she grins like the Cheshire Cat.

After that she snapped and killed them with their own knives... it was ruled an accident.

Alright, then I was thinking of adding precognition to my character. It would start off as an occasional dream at first, but then it'll get stronger.
