Live forever?

So, one day when you're in your mid 20's, an old man in a gentlemanly suit comes up to you and offer's you the chance to live forever. You would no longer age, wounds would heal reasonably quick and illnesses no longer affected you. No strings attached, no genie magic, and certainly no wordplays. Just you get to no longer age until the end of time itself. There is an option to end your life, but stabbing yourself in the heart intentionally. If someone else does it, it won't work, but if you really want to die there's a way. Ignoring the fact that this old guy is slightly odd, would you accept?

In my case, I think I just might. Sure, I would have to seen my loved ones pass on ahead of me, but even then. You could see where we go as a race. Do we reach another golden age of human development? Do we find alien life? Interstellar travel? Cures for cancer and the common cold? All of that and more! It would be fascinating. When all is said and done, and I feel like there's nothing else, I could simply end it all without any worry.
