Fuck any kind of heads up or anything, this is a serious issue that the Gods need to crack down on without any warning, straight to red text. If I were Farn I would've just straight up banned them. Deleting the posts wasn't even enough, just get rid of the thread it's been so tainted by salutation. God forbid.

There's a lot going on round this forum lately that merits moderation, clearly priorities need realigning if this is what is getting the red text. Those who cannot do their job properly need to shape up or ship out.

While I'm not sure the exact choice of wording is the best, but I agree with the sentiment - the whole point of the thread is, and I quote:Geanna wrote:a place for Transgender NSers to find resources, information, centres, help and other Transgender NSers of whom they can converse with. I don't think that you can with any seriousness call a greeting that goes beyond two posts in a support thread "Off-topic." We're supporting each other, it's a support thread, how much more on-topic can you get? There's not always some new, exciting trans-themed bit of news to talk about, and therefore we don't always have anything more on-topic to talk about than each other, and supporting each other. Given that pretty much everyone who uses the thread objects, could you please consider revising this decision?
Thanks,
- Jor.

Gregoryisgodistan wrote:In my opinion, not only is this ruling incorrect, but the mods in question have wilfully created a hostile environment and should be disciplined. As others have said, the purpose of the thread is to allow people to support each other and discuss relevant issues. People have pointed out the relevance, yet the moderators insist they are correct and even respond with mocking language about how irrelevant the posts supposedly are. This creates a hostile environment to the transgender community and their allies. I know I'm not allowed to do a third-party appeal, but I do wish to submit this for review of moderator abuse for creating a hostile environment to certain individuals, which I believe I am entitled to do even if I am not a direct victim.
