As Kiravia is neither a monarchy nor of European heritage, there are no chivalric orders extant in the nation. However, various Kiravian states do maintain offical honourary orders that make use of military ranks and imagery. As such, in these states, it is not uncommon to find civilians who are addressed by military rank titles (though these ranks are often rather archæic ones dating from earlier periods of our history), similar to the American phenomenon of a "Kentucky colonel".

The main chivalric order is the Order of the Wattle, established in 1715 by Queen Elizabeth. Also notable is the Royal Georgian Order, established by Queen Georgia in 1917, which includes ranks of knighthood among its classes of honour.

There are also non-royal chivalric orders such as the Order of Saint Henry, established by William de Courcy, Archbishop of Monmouth, in 1440, and various orders established by local noblemen.

The Imperial Dominion of Longweather only has one officially sanctioned chivalric order, the Order of Immaculate Victory. Those in the military that prove the valor of their arms or nobility of spirit are invited to join the Order and become a "Knight of Victory!" (yes, the name requires the use of an exclamation mark). Along with former soldiers, common people, nobles, and mages found to be virtuous and known for their valor are also invited. At the head of the Order is their Lord, which often happens to be the current Emperor. They function as the Empire's as the personal guards of the Emperor and those he deems worthy/needing of the protection, elite soldiers, and the moral guardians of the Empire. The Knights have judicial privileges which leads them to occasionally smiting the wicked when needed and bringing them in for justice whenever possible.

Besides the Knights of Victory, the Mage's Guild has chivalric orders within its ranks. While not officially sanctioned by the government, they often work alongside the Knights of Victory. They're mostly elemental mages that are separated by their specialty. These orders are the Order of the Frosted Blade, Order of the Flame-wreathed Sword, Order of the Lightning Bladed, and the Order of Earth's Hammer.

We don't have any Knight's Orders as such. Instead, we have three classes of citizens who are able to vote, known as the Enfranchised.

The Red Enfranchised, or Reds are those that have been selected by their peers in their Bern,the local subdivision in Thelien which is basically a walled town. Most Berns are entitled to five Reds, though some may only have three and one (Adelsbern) has seven. A Red is made by being nominated by enough of their peers (the exact number of nominations required varies from Bern to Bern) in the Bern, with each person being able to nominate only one other person.

The Yellow Enfranchised, or Yellows are selected by their peers in the Thelien Mission, the religious establishment in Thelien. The head of each Mission House nominates one person to become Yellow.

The Blue Enfranchised, or Blues are selected by the Director himself. Director Horon-Valos Artih is the immortal humanoid physical manifestation (or Avatar) of the AI system that runs nearly all complex systems in Thelien. He has a position in the government akin to a constitutional monarch with considerable powers, overseen by the Enfranchised. He is able to appoint people who he deems particularly worthy for whatever reason as Blues, however they are excluded from voting on particular issues such as those relating to the budget.

Being Enfranchised means recognition of achievement by your peers and being a celebrated figure in your local Bern. It also means a stipend of 2,200 Tola on top of the regular state income of 2,500 Tola, meaning that being Enfranchised also effectively doubles your income. A red, yellow or blue armband will be worn on the left arm by an Enfranchised, depending which group they belong t, and there are a number of clubs or activity groups which only Enfranchised may join, or which they're guaranteed leadership positions in.

The Highest Imperial Order is the Order of the Golden Fleece. The Emperor is the sovereign and grand commander of this order. Mind you, there is a spin-off Spanish order, despite that this order came from the Duchy of Burgundy.
Then, there is also the Teutonic Order, which came from the Baltics, it is now based in Vienna after the Prussians became Lutheran. It is based in Vienna. There is also the military order of Maria Theresa which is only for officers.

Of course, most states such as Bavaria, Hessen, Württemberg, Prussia, Hungary, Two-Sicilies and Sardinia, etc, have their own orders since they have separate monarchies, and usually their own monarch that is not Habsburg Emperor (unlike Habsburg Hungary), so there are many orders in the Auzkhian Empire.

There are no knightly orders in the traditional sense in the Imperium.

The Order of Judicators, the Imperium's feared intelligence service, however, is structured very much like the monastic knightly orders of old Terra, deliberately emulating many aspects of the Christian warrior-monk tradition in their organization, customs and even dress.

The Order can best be described as a combination of a modern intelligence service, a martial religious order, holy Inquisition and a brotherhood of assassins. The Judicators rightly refer to themselves as the Left Hand of the Emperor, having virtually unlimited power over all Imperial citizens save for members of the Imperial Guard, the proverbial Right Hand, who are exempt from their jurisdiction. A less reverent nickname calls them the Scalpel of the Emperor, referring to their surgical precision at removing Imperium's enemies, as opposed to the more overt approach of the Sword, Hammer and Shield, the respective nicknames for the Army, the Navy and Domestic Security. Different branches of the order handle foreign intelligence, counter-intelligence, and domestic affairs which involve suppression of treason, organized crime, political dissent and corruption in cases too sensitive for Domestic Security to handle. A Judicator has the authority to commandeer any citizen's services and virtually unlimited resources at his discretion to accomplish a mission, only Imperial Guard personnel and resources being exempt.

The Order is headed by a Grand Master, who is personally appointed by the monarch and accountable only to him or her. The Grand Master is selected from the ranks of High Masters, each sector of the Imperium having it's own largely autonomous chapter headed by a High Master. High Masters are elected by Masters, heads of sub-sector divisions, who in turn are elected by Abbots, heads of Judicatorial offices of individual worlds.

There are typically a dozen or so rank-and-file Judicators operating under command of a single Abbot. While nominally they are subject to the Abbot of a given world, in practice these Judicators may be operating anywhere in the galaxy, their homeworld being merely their formal place of dislocation.

Each Judicator runs his own independent cell of 3-5 apprentices, who study the trade under his or her tutelage, each being selected for particular skills useful to the cell, much like a medieval knight would have a retinue of squires to serve as his assistants and disciples. Each cell operates independently, and individual Judicators rarely know each other, communicating only when absolutely necessary, and then almost always through their Abbot. This is to prevent compromising the entire group should any individual Judicator be captured. Their interaction with the Abbot is also mostly limited to communication over secure channels, the Judicators rarely if ever being aware of the current location of their immediate superiors.

Due to the clandestine nature of the Order, it's members are hardly ever seen in public and recognized as such, mostly on the core worlds where they have little reason to hide their identity. When they appear in public on formal occasions, Judicators are easily recognized by the white Crusader-style surcoat with a knight-style belt worn over their powered armor. The emblem of the Order is a tome featuring letters Alpha and Omega pierced by a sword imposed over a cross patee encircled by an olive wreath, symbolizing the Word of the Emperor, the Order's devotion to it and it's defense, and victory brought by their actions. The motto of the Order is borrowed from the Spanish Inquisition - Exsurge Domine, et Iudicare Causam Tuam (Come, Lord, and Judge for Your Cause).

Asides from borrowing Crusader knight dress and religious symbolism, Judicators also have elevated the veneration of the Emperor to a literally religious level, being fanatically devoted to His teachings and utterly merciless in crushing the enemies of the Imperium. A Judicator will not flinch at torture and mass murder if it helps to further the Imperium's goals, and will readily sacrifice millions of innocents if it helps to destroy a single dangerous enemy of the Imperium. Such sacrifices will obviously not be made lightly, though - the Judicators only deal with threats dangerous enough to imperil the entire Imperium, or conversely, cause major losses and disruption to Imperium's enemies. Enemies and citizens of the Imperium alike rightly fear the Judicators for their ruthless efficiency and fanatical devotion that knows no mercy or sympathy to treachery, corruption, blasphemy and heresy.

The Order has one or more secret compounds on every major world, dozens of clandestine starbases located mostly in the interstellar void beyond reach of prying eyes, and hundreds of the so-called "Black ships" - cruiser-size stealth vessels used as mobile bases and research/interrogation facilities. Few outsiders who see a Black Ship firsthand live to tell the tale, so these vessels have acquired a mythical reputation in the Imperium and beyond, many even doubting their existence. Only the Empress and members of the Order know the dark secrets hiding within their bowels, and obviously none of them are too keen on disclosing them.

Fully-invested Judicators of equal rank address each other as "brother" or "sister", and their superiors as "father/mother". Neophytes (newly-inducted apprentices) and established apprentices address their masters as "sir/madame". Non-Judicators who are aware that they are doing business with a Judicator will address one as "lord/lady" in a display of deference, only the monarch and members of the Imperial Guard commonly addressing them as "Judicator/Judicatrix".

There are a number of different knightly orders amongst the Saurians and Ponerians, the most notable of the former are the Saurist-aligned Order of Brothers in Defense of the Holy Word, or the Frateri Order for short. An old chivalric order founded in the 12th century by Saurist warrior-priests in order to protect those downtrodden followers of Saurus and guard them from malicious forces who wish to kill them because of their Faith, they still exist and some allege that they continue to maintain their martial state despite officially ceasing their military activities in the 17th century.
