April 5, 1776: Growing unrest across the colonies! Radicals across the colonies beginning to incite rebellion against the crown! Militants in New England, according to some reports are beginning to stockpile weapons incase of open revolution. Boston remains under occupation by the royal army. Some ungrateful people have shown disdain towards the crowns troops for being there and are inciting protest. What is becoming of our colonies? Can the crown restore order, or will we fall to the radical thoughts of the militants?!

Laoghaire seems to wake up, he is standing in the middle of combat, then he marches forward, and aims his gun at a man on the other side, it is him, both fire, both fall, he wakes up breathing hard, and then he gets up at night and decides to walk around the area, and he talks to himself "What if that actually happened! God I don't want to die, but it would be gods will to let us survive, you know what, why would god be real? I've killed people for what? I don't know! I wish we were all just peaceful, I hope our commander isn't bad, I am counting on him to lead us to victory." Laoghaire grabs his knife and looks at it "Man what a beautiful knife, I wonder if i'll even get to use it, or will I die before I can get into close combat?" Laoghaire gets up and walks out into the woods on his own while the others are sleeping, he lays in the wilderness, but then he sees a wolf, he was scared, but just calmed down, and luckily the wolf just jumped on his stomach, and laid down on him, he was comfortable this way.

After half an hour of laying down he looks at the wolf, the wolf is white, except for two eyebrow like black marks above her eyes, so it'll be easier to memorize, so Laoghaire calls her beauty, and pats the wolf and calls her beauty, then he gets up and walks back to camp, the wolf follows him, but he tells her to be wild and enjoy it, they can meet during the nights, somehow she seems to know exactly what he said, then she walks into the forest.

Amsterdam Netherlands
Fredrick was was on his way to the harbor. He looked down at Newspaper, It read that people in the Americas wanted to revolt and Break away from England. He wondered if the Dutch would have to send the Navy to help the Americans if they even tried to do that. When he got to the harbor he put the paper down and exited the carriage. He walked to his Ship De Zeven Provinciën to study the renovations of the old ship. After this he will take his ship and go out and patrol the waters of the Dutch coast.

Viscount Alistair Cyril Montjoy overlooked his first division as they began their march from Fort Harvis. The fort was actually a series of smal star forts, all within range of each other. They were some ten miles east of Boston and had been constructed by Lord Montjoy three years earlier when he was posted in the region. He had a command of just under ten thousand soldiers including eight hundred lancers and eighteen six pounder guns. This was however, the large proportion of all British regular forces in Massachusetts. He was incredibly disappointed at the small sizes of armies in the colonies while those in Europe could hope to hold commands of twenty to fifty thousand with hundreds of guns. Still, as he sat atop his mount and watched his forces march in disciplined columns there was a certain satisfaction to be gained. The sky was a pristine blue while the fields rolling gentle to the horizon were a gentle green. The soldiers that marched past past him broke the cool colours with their bright red coats and Union Jack flags fluttering in the breeze. Gentle pipe music floated across the air to the beat of the drums. Montjoy was determined to remind the colonials who was in command here. Their civilian governors were one thing but their all answered to the King and they seemed to have forgotten that in recent years.

Lord Montjoy's regiments marched into Boston to the dismay of the locals with smaller company detachments leaving for other towns and regions. He had decided to take an active step stopping armed rebellion before it started by pushing his forces into the population centres and reminding the locals of the military power available to him. This came at the threat of guerilla attacks though he felt comfortable in the drill and discipline of the Regimented soldiers to see of any enemies.

Boston, Thirteen Colonies

Nicholas was at a pub which was full of people, most of them supporters of his move. Out of the 50 people which were at the pub 45 had gathered around him while he was speaking, his speech attracted a lot of people in his movement, there were 121 people in his movement and all of them had joined the army because of him. What he said was the following text:

"People of Boston! Dear compatriots of mine. Today we're going to make more supporters with our moves. Today it is the first recruitment day of our movement which supports the revolution for a better nation. It is been more than one month since this city was set free. Let's all go outside for the daily training of our force."

They first did the faces, because everyone was a private except him, he was about to give all the commands to the soldiers. His position was Sergeant Major or else known as Warrant Officer. He started talking.

"First of all we're going to do the faces. PRESENT ARMS!"

and everyone presented the arms he commanded again

"Everyone now SHOULDER ARMS!"

and everyone did shoulder arms, everybody showed such a discipline at that moment, he did a small smile out of relief of him doing good training and that all the soldiers he had in the movement showed discipline. He ordered again.

"Excellent privates. RIGHT FACE!"

and everyone turned on their right side, such a discipline wasn't shown very oftenly. That time he clapped because of that discipline, he went in front of them and said

"Johnson, hold the flag. PREPARE TO MARCH!"

everybody was ready, he put his saber out and he ordered

"MARCH!"

and he started marching with 46 of the soldiers of the movement following him. They were at a formation of 5 soldiers per row with Johnson holding the flag in front just behind of Nicholas. They reached the American encampent outside Boston near the invading force of the British led by Cyril Montjoy. And he ordered.

"FIGHT FOR THE AMERICAN NATION! FIGHT FOR THE FREEDOM."

He put his sword out and ordered.

"Everyone. LAYDEC FORMATION(A formation like a slash(/)!"

then he did an order again

"Prepare for a shoot! TAKE AIM!"

everybody taken aim and he ordered for the last time.

"SHOOT!"

and everybody shot and that's how the battle started.
I'm Estenia so please put all the ranks of Estenia to this nation.

(For the record, the American revolutionary war hasn't started yet, so this would be the first shot of the war. The following is written off the facts that engagement ranges for muskets should generally be under 100 meters and fire rates for well drilled, professional soldiers under the stress of combat is usually 3 rounds per minute.)

Captain Jonathan Clef led the first company of the 4th "King's Own" Regiment of Foot across a grassy plain towards Boston. He crested the hill at the front of his column with the wind and a hundred and thirty grenadiers at his back. There ahead of him was a militia company of some 46 soldiers, spread across the plain in a formation of five deep. "Company... Form... Line!" Clef yelled and his Sergeant major echoed the cry in a voice like thunder. His grenadiers formed up behind him at a slow run. He imagined how it must have appeared from the opposing forces perspective, a column of five men spreading out to and form a double line of sixty or more. The tune of British Grenadiers floated across the air from his musicians, inspiring fear into his enemies and encouraging his own men. Then, at a range of more than a hundred and fifty yards, the opposing militia fired. Clef watched as the much smaller force of irregulars was obscured by smoke and a thunderclap of noise slapped him around the ears. "Make, ready!" Clef yelled and he saw a man beside him clutch at the wound in his forearm before he was taken away by a sergeant. "Forward... March!" the soldiers advanced at the fastest walk they could make without breaking into a run. At a hundred yards the militia fired once again and four of his hundred and thirty men fell under the impact. At just seventy yards Clef ordered a halt and pulled out his pistol. "Present!" he yelled and his Sergeant Major echoed the order through the ranks, "Fire!" In a formation just two thick and sixty wide the Grenadiers opened fire with discipline not seen in any other army of Europe or America. He squeezed the trigger as a hundred and twenty five other muskets went off around him in a torrent of smoke, fire and death. The smoke blocked his view of the enemy militia company but as his ears cleared he could hear the screams of wounded men.

St. Mary's City, Thirteen Colonies
Reason left a meeting he had with some of his supporters for Maryland's independence from the British Empire. The men involved were wealthy plantations owners and merchants who had much influence in the markets of the Caribbean and even some influence in the colonies of Spain. Among the law abiding merchants there were also notorious smugglers who had connections to the pirate world but could still be used to free Maryland. Most of these men Reason approached after Mass as he knew a fellow Catholic was less likely to rat out another Catholic to Protestant authorities and others he bailed out of tough times like breaking a couple smugglers out of prison and providing monetary compensation to a couple merchants who lost their ships to storm and misfortune. The other landowner's were easier to convince with the promise of feudal titles though selling the move away from slavery was hard and did loss him many potential supporters but he believed that was a necessary sacrifice to allow his conscious to rest. Mounting up his horse he felt a feeling of accomplishment wash over him as he had successfully attained enough money to expand his Saint Adrian Regiment to 1200 soldiers, though he had a feeling his original 500 soldiers will make up the majority of the effective fighting force for at least a couple months. Reason passed by some British troops stationed in the city but kept on riding until he entered a printers shop, the same printers shop that has been printing his writings. He approached the clerk and handed him a piece of paper "I need you to print this poster for telling the young men of Maryland that the Saint Adrian Regiment is recruiting men to be soldiers and there will be pay. The same a British regular receives, make sure to hint that Catholics will be accepted more so than Protestants." The clerk nodded and headed to the back room to start printing. Looking outside he saw some British soldiers put up a poster that said that there would be a reward for anyone turning in the author named Guy, him. Reason grew a bit nervous and left the print shop as he felt like the British were going to look for were his materials were printed and needed to make sure they didn't know until his insurrection was launched. Reason remounted his horse and began for the long ride back to his estate as he had his regiment stationed on his grounds to help mobilize them quickly though in hindsight that might make it so the British would send troops after him now.

Laoghaire

The War has Begun
His commander Nicholas, had ordered the command to fire, Laoghaire fired, he heard a grunt, he might of shot someone, and after the other side shot Laoghaire was hit in the left ear, losing it, he then quickly wrapped a piece of cloth over his ear, it hurt a lot but Laoghaire then saw smoke the man next to him, blood just ran down his mouth, and he fell over, Laoghaire just got his hopes up, ironically it was because his death, but he realized he was luckier than that guy.

But then he saw more men, and Laoghaire instantly thought one thing, he might die, though he didn't worry that much, it wasn't like they were going to kill him, then Laoghaire tried to yell to nicholas, but he couldn't it was too late, the line just fired and he was hit in the stomach, he kind of walks away dying, and he coughs up blood, though this would be his chance to survive if Nicholas did not, so he stumbled into the alley, and he took off a bunch of his things, he covered his wound with cloth, and then kept pressure on it, he was dizzy so then he sat down, and applied pressure to it, he let the musket sit up against the wall, he was laying there dying, he shouldn't of been so cocky, he reckoned that he would die in a few hours, so he closed his eyes.

Though luckily he was dragged by two boys, a boy carried his musket, they woke him up. "Hey mister what do you need us to do?" Laoghaire looks at them "I just need you to press your hands on my wound to make sure no blood goes out of my cloth, can you do that for me"?" the boy did it, and the boy with the musket lay it next to Laoghaire, these boys were nice, but then they stand up and leave, and three soldiers come, and they grab stones and one hits him in the head.

He woke up on the wall, realizing he wasn't killed, and the whole time he sleep walked, he wasn't wounded, he ran back to the battle just in time and joined the ranks again.

Palace of the Emperor
Amsterdam, Netherlands
Frederick and the other Captains of the Fleet where called into to the Emperors Palace. They all came in and Bowed to the Emperor. He then said "Sit", They all sat. The Emperor than said "As most of you know the Americans are now at war with the British." He continued, "This is the Perfect time to Get back at them for the Third Anglo-Dutch War. You will all be deployed to the Americas to help aid the Rebels. You set sail tonight." The Officers all said "Yes Sir." and walked out.

Open Sea
About 25 miles out of Amsterdam
Fredrick boarded the De Zeven Provinciën and made sure everything was operating and in working condition. About an hour later the Ships left Amsterdam heading full speed to America. Frederick asked the First Officer, "How long till we get the Americas?" He Answered "About a week and a half sir." Fredrick then sat back down wondering if they where strong enough to fight the British.

REBELS!

Image

A small skirmish occurred three days ago outside of the city of Boston between royal forces and armed radicals. The radical force of 46 men was quickly swept away by the superior force of his majesty, resulting in 20 radicals dead and 8 kings men dead. Despite this victory, much of the people, and indeed even the governors are beginning to worry for the stability of the colonies. His majesty the King has sent Captain Jonathan Clef and Viscount Alistair Cyril Montjoy his token of appreciation for their stupendous skills in battle.

In Maryland, hundreds of posters all over the state can be seen recruitment posters for a rebel army of Catholics! The army is taking down these posters where ever they find them, but their message has already gone out! Some of the populous believes that the French or the Spanish is vying for power in our loyal colonies, we shall show them our true strength soon enough! On the posters, it is thought that an individual named "GUY" is the one sending these out. If anyone has any information regarding this man, please contact the authorities immedieantly!

Charleston, South Carolina
One Week Later
Frederick was Happy. The Dutch arrived in America early. They docked in Charleston to re-stock. He got off the Boat and went into the town and asked for a Militia leader. A man who called himself John came to Frederick. He said "Welcome, I see you have docked your ships in our town. Why are you here." Frederick then said "We are here to re-stock our ships. Our Emperor has ordered us to get revenge from the British for the Third Anglo-Dutch war. Anyway, we would like volunteers, and staples such as Meat, Vegetables, Fruit, Flower, and Water. Can we get those?" John said "Ok, and sent him twenty-four fresh militia-men, and their needed supplies." Frederick also saw how the Militia was in dire need of more weapons and ammunition. He offered some extra Muskets and Swords and said, "Take them. You look like you need them." John took them and said, thank you." Frederick said "Your welcome." John also said the the Dutch fleet could stay in Charleston for the night if they needed to rest. Frederick said "No" but he did ask what the situation in the colonies was so John told them about how his people wanted to break away from the English and start their own nation Call the United States. He said that other Militias including his where stockpiling weapons so some day they could fight the British off and and become Independent. That night the Fleet left heading due north to Maryland.

Reason's Estate
Reason was happy to see that many young men flocked to his regiment and he had to turn some away and tell them to go to other rebel regiments that his supporters were organizing as he couldn't equip them all though men that brought their own muskets or horses were accepted and instead of his estimated 1200 soldiers he received around 1421 total soldiers ready to partake in the insurrection. His contacts were due to deliver cannons in a couple days and he would use that artillery to take the necessary cities and keep the British navy at bay. Sadly the printer and some colleagues were captured by the British and some munitions were intercepted at the ports so his plans were set back slightly. The smugglers have been able to bribe some colonial French and Spanish authorities to help get materials through to his men and to get money to his supporters and soldiers. The training of the new recruits was going along well and soon they should be a formidable force to fight though he wasn't stupid and would not use conventional European tactics as the British would decimate him, he would have to use tactics the Indians and French used during the previous war.

Laoghaire

After the Skirmish
Laoghaire, luckily survived the battle, he is going around taunting soldiers, he succeeds in getting them mad, he runs down the street, and he turns around and fires at them, though he misses, he straps the musket to his back and pulls out his knife just in case, then he puts one foot to the left to trick the men, they think he turns left but then he runs right, and then they figure out the trick and run after him again, then he hears someone say "Laoghaire get the biscuits!" that was the code for putting up a rope to get trip the lobsters, then he runs through and taunts the lobsters, then he yells "I got the biscuits" then they throw the rope over and the men get tripped over, then they beat them up, and steal their supplies. Laoghaire catches his breath "Guys I ran a lot." his friends laugh, they're Reilly & Eoan. Both hailing from Ireland, they joined Nicholas's Rebellion against the lobsters. They put the uniforms in a bag to make sure no one chases them again, then they run off laughing about the success.

After they get back they sit down near each other to talk "Good job Laoghaire, next time i'll do it." Laoghaire smiles "Well Reilly, hopefully it won't be so hard for you." Laoghaire looks at Eoan "So Eoan, you're after Reilly, just don't trip!" Eoan looks at Laoghaire for a few seconds then they all burst out laughing, and having a good time.

Lord Montjoy had wiped what little resistance there had been with inconsequential casualties. For the next week there had been no open opposition and his forces had moved through Boston unopposed. From the few contacts that were still loyal to the crown, Montjoy authorised the raiding and capture of rebel leader's homes. A dozen red coats to every raid along with an officer pushed in and seized the rebel leaders, sometimes violently. By the day's end nearly fifty people had been taken out of their homes in chains and thrown onto the cobble of the town square. Montjoy also placed a permanent garrison in the harbour of Boston with the purpose of intercepting all shipments of munitions and weapons to possible rebel groups. This battalion of the 4th "King's Own" Regiment of Foot would randomly search goods and ships that passed through, especially those with foreign markings.

Posters lined the streets of Boston as those supporting the rebels were torn down:

Reward for the following:

Information regarding radicals
Location, names or appearance of radical soldiers or leaders
Radical plans, weapon caches or shipments

There was a healthy reward that amounted to a full month's pay for the average person. The temptation in times of trouble to secure income would prove too much for some, even if they supported the rebels.

New York, McDonald Estates

Image

They assembled for morning parade, nigh on eighteen hundred men from a hundred backgrounds. In company squares of two hundred, five paces apart, they looked for all the world like the private army which they were. A small fortune had been spent on the uniforms, rich purples and deep reds standing to attention beneath a hundred fluttering banners depicting the new livery of the soldiers in the pay of Sir David McDonald. There was no question as to where the loyalty of these men were. Freed slaves stood in formation, rubbing shoulders with clean-faced colonials who had been taken off of the street and given a future; tailors and blacksmiths held their rifles alongside bakers and pub owners; doctors and minor gentry signaled with their officers' canes: each and every man was in David's pocket.

Image

Leading the column on its morning drills, the New York Regiment of the Line made its way towards the not-so-distant silhouette of New York. Two companies would remain behind, the 2nd "Town Criers" Company off to train with their new shipment of cannon and the 8th "Bread-makers" Company drawing their lot for standing guard on the Estates. The rest of the host, the 7th "Salt" Company at their head, advanced to the sound of drums, flutes and bagpipes.

Watching the men leave, Sir David McDonald felt something that could have been apprehension. The colonies were beginning to cave in to the universal demand for aggression. The British were clamping down hard, but that only meant that the people were becoming more dissatisfied. With blood being drawn it was only a matter of time until someone raised a flag to which thousands would rally. An army would assemble to face the English and when it did, David was certain that no matter who was victorious, the colonies would begin to tear themselves apart.

"That is a mighty big militia you have here," announced Robert Clarke, a self-made man who had a large stake in the trade which flowed through New York. He had the ear of the Governor as well as many of the influential parties in the state, including at one point David himself.

"Not all of it is the provincial militia," the colonel corrected his guest. "Most of it is the Regiment of the Line."

"Ah yes, indeed. That is the infamous army which you are raising. If you would be so kind, David: what is your intentions for this regiment?"

The other men and women in the party turned to gauge their benefactor's reaction. Almost all of them had a stake in the army, providing money, materials and even men in exchange for promises, trade agreements and other offers of support. Each one of them were ruthless when it came to the survival of themselves and their amassed wealth. It did not matter if they despised the British or the colonial upstarts, siding with whoever had the most to offer for the smallest of risks. At that present moment, their futures rested with David. He was the one with the army. That the governor had given him the resources necessary to do so was irrelevant. Such a thing scared them.

"I am a soldier, Robert. More than that, I am an officer. An officer needs men to command and in this day and age he needs more than a part-time militia force."

If he had said that it was to provide New York with safety and security then they would have called him a liar and withdrawn their support. They knew as well as he that the regiment was a weapon that was going to be used as callously and without hesitation as the devil himself.

"The British are losing support with every coming week, it being only a matter of time until someone sticks an army in front of them. If the English end up falling then someone needs to stand in to protect whatever is left from the fighting. Criminals shall not be allowed to come to power. With that regiment, I will see to it that only men and women of the right class lead this country forward."

They liked that answer. They enjoyed having their vanity stoked. He was a war-hero, a wealthy plantation owner and the man with enough loyal guns to take over New York if he wanted to. They needed to like him as much as he needed them to.

"Come, let us retire inside. I will have to show you my plans for the northern plantations."

OOC: Second pic is the standard for the New York Regiment of the Line, which I suppose is a mixed force with one company of cavalry and one of artillery, the rest being musketeers. Currently David is staying well clear of the conflict until something drags him in.

Dover, Thirteen Colonies

That loss of 20 lives was the reason of more supporters joining the movement, around 1,000 supporters joined the movement and the Continental Army. Despite his loss, he became an Officer Cadet for his services. Nicholas wasn't depressed, he had killed 8 soldiers, it wasn't a crush for the army at all. Now he had to reorganise his movement, the low morale was tearing the team apart. He did multiple speeches the day after the loss, he got supplied by the Continental Army. His name was heard in the nearby state of New Hampshire and his movement was becoming a success. His next plan was to steal canons, guns and powder from Fort . Despite his house being raided, he had another one or his family in New Hampshire, in Concord to be exact.

In Dover, there was most of his troops being stationed, to be exact 800 of them. The rest 200 were about to follow him to Boston, where they were about to engange with the British Forces. He commanded.

Building the Blackwater Settlement

After landing it was time for us to take apart the ship, so we could make a settlement, so after an hour of taking her apart we needed to plan the settlement, because of reported encounters with natives, the boat will make the walls and the entrance, and we would need to cut down some trees to make the housing after settling up the walls, the entrance would be near the water so we can quickly exit that way, and so we started making the walls of the settlement, then it hit me, we should call the settlement Blackwater, so after hours of building the walls we sit down after our hard work, then we needed to figure out the housing, as we've made a large enough set of walls for a smaller settlement, but comfortable enough, to fit 20 houses in the settlement, and one Office/home which is where the mayor would be living, which is me Tobias Samuel. I told a man to set up the cooking supplies, and then told the women to cook for us when we were done, then for the rest of the men I told them to cut down some trees, and they take some axes, and I take an axe and join them to cut down trees.

After more hours we build the homes and the trees are down, though we accidentally cut down more than we needed, so we decided to leave them outside the settlement incase if we or other people needed them, and so Tobias walked to his new home & office, and went to bed and fell asleep

After the Construction

Tobias, after two days of work finally had a long sleep, and then he walked outside and greeted his new citizens, then a man runs up to him, and tells him a man in strange clothing is approaching the settlement, so then Tobias walks outside and confronts the man, with weird dress.

"Hello sir, do you speak English?" the man looks at him "Yes, yes I do, I am a native of this land, why do you come here?" tobias realizes this is one of the famous native americans he has heard about. "I am here only to live in the new world, I have heard of your people, the Natives. I hope that we have enough luck that those stories are not true, so I would like to tell you we mean no harm to your people, we only wish to live away in the forests, if you would like to meet the people in our settlement you may enter." the native looks surprised so he nods and walks away, Tobias is glad that he hadn't tried to kill him.

Tobias then realized a huge threat, the French, Spanish, & the English, so he calls out for volunteers. "Men of Blackwater, I would like volunteers to be our militia, just in case we are attacked by anyone who may threaten us, we escaped Europe, now we must take care of our new home, Blackwater, so I would like volunteers, if you wish to become apart of our defense, then step forward please!" only 11 men step forward, they have become our defense, so they are armed with muskets & any kind of blade they can provide, and they begin patrolling the walls for anyone who may threaten to invade Blackwater.

Baltimore, Maryland
Reason entered a print shop near the center of the city as he needed someone new to print his materials as his previous printer and his associates were already arrested. Walking up to the clerk, he looked the young man over, and handed him a set of papers that he wished to have printed. The papers in question were another essay against the British monarchy and in favor of a independent Catholic monarchy in Maryland with all of Delaware added along with parts of Virginia and up to the Potomac River. The young man looked over the papers and smiled up to Reason "Sir I believe you are a brilliant, if somewhat stupid, author. Do you know the penalty for publicizing this material is? It's literally treason." He said but Reason simply nodded "Yes I know but the truth and morally right can not be stopped and it is what we must do." He argued against the clerk who raised his hands in defense with a spark of insanity behind his eyes "I never said you were wrong sir I just wished you to know you have my support as long as you get me a more respectable job for a man of learning than a simple printer." The man said putting his hand out to shake, Reason took it and said "I believe we have an agreement sir." The clerk took the papers and went to the back part of the shop, Reason's eyes followed him and he could have sworn he saw multiple scientific and inventing devices cluttered amongst the printing equipment. Turning to leave Reason noticed that the clerk was the only one in the shop but merely shrugged and left and mounted up his horse to ride back to his estate, the cannons finally arrived and training began on how to man them and training for the rest of the regiment was going along smoothly with many of the veterans taking on officer roles. Smiling to himself as he rode away he felt as if all his work and conspiring will finally pay off and he will take his rightful position as Lord Baltimore.

April 30, 1776

Parliament, under the command of his Majesty, King George III, has decided in light of these recent local uprisings, to reinforce the colonies. 2,500 troops will be sent to Massachusetts under the command of Viscount Alistair Cyril Montjoy. 4,000 men will be sent to Maryland, under the command of Sir Brian Carnegie. And 3,000 men will be sent to the State of New York under the Command of Sir Charles Nelson.

We have lost contact with the New York Provincial militia! It is still unknown for sure the where abouts of over half the provincial militia, but sources indicate that the former commander, Sir David McDonald, may have joined the rebel cause and rebelled against the crown! Parliament in turn has decided to sack the governor for his incompetence, and put in his place Abraham Long. Any information regarding the where abouts of Sir David McDonald or his rouge army should be reported to the nearest government official. There will be a large monetary reward for such findings.

Maryland has seen yet another wave of posters, advertising for a so called " Catholic Army". The previous printer was arrested 2 days ago, yet the government still has no leads on the treacherous radical "Guy". The radical has thus far published pamphlets across the state advocating for an independent Catholic Maryland! These publications have been since effective yesterday, been banned! Any and all indivuals caught with such publications will be arrested on site! Any information regarding "Guy" will now be rewarded with double the original reward!

the outskirts of Baltimore, Maryland
Reason rode in front of his men, a formidable force of 1100 infantry, divided into 4 companies, the Saint Patrick's Company, Saint Michael's Company, Saint Sebastian Company, and Saint Thomas More Company each marching with the flags of Maryland, the Papacy and a banner depicting their patron Saint, 150 cavalry, Reason's personal guard, followed the main infantry column providing flank support along with the 250 specialized light infantry who provided a screen, and made up the Saint Hubert Company, and 5 3-pounder guns. Marching forwards to the sound of pipes and drums the men of the Catholic Army of Maryland wearing their brown shirts with the Sacred Heart over their own heart, brown trousers and boots, and a varying degree of hats marched forward towards Baltimore. Along the way a couple cheers were heard from villages they passed through and priests gave the traveling army blessings boosting the morale of the army considerably.
The coming battle was making Reason nervous as he was wondering what he has started. Anxious he sent a couple messengers forward into Baltimore to demand its surround and to also alert his supporters within the city to prepare to strike at the British and disrupt them so his army can move in and take control of the city quickly.

Officer's quarters, outskirts of Baltimore

Sir Brian Carnegie looked on the brown shirted messenger with disgust. The message he had delivered was one calling for surrender. He gave the boy a look of utter contempt and anger. " Tell your heathen commander, that we will not surrender, and that the second we see his rabble march towards our city, we will take NO prisoners! Now go!" The brown shirted boy was then escorted out of the quarters by two of Brian's personal guard. Brian then proceeded out of the Quarters. His assistant strode by his side " Call the troops to order NOW!"

Center of Army encampment

Sir Brian Carnegie stood in the center of his army of 1,000 redshirted king's men. " Gentlemen, it appears that we have finally discovered the Catholic army that has been formed under who we now know as 'Guy Reason'. Apparently the Catholics want to fight. We shall give them one. Prepare the defenses immedieantly! When you see the enemy, alert your commanding officer!" The King's men began to immedieantly move out. Brian pulled his assistant to his side. " Send 3 pigeons to the other commanders to get the other 3,000 men here as soon as possible." The assistant ran off to the pigeon coop. Brian was sure that he would destroy the Catholic army before the three days required for his comrades arrived. Who knows, perhaps he would receive a medal for his work? Maybe even a lordship?!

Outskirts of Baltimore, Catholic Army of Maryland Encampment
The army along with Reason were attending a mass and confession in preparation for the coming battle. With the closing prayer said the army began making preparations for battle, Companies formed rank, the light infantry were sent ahead to gauge the enemy position and their strengths and hopefully snipe some British officers. When Reason heard the message from the British he took a deep breath "It seems Ceaser is correct, iacti proiecti." Stepping outside his tent he saw that his men were prepared for battle though he had no idea what the British were up to, looking over at the messenger he ordered "Go get the other messengers and tell the light infantry to start picking off the British but to remain out of direct combat until the main force has engaged. Also bring back the information they have gathered on the British position. God speed." The messenger gave a quick salute and ran to get his ordered fulfilled.

Baltimore defenses

The army was set up in 4 groups of 250, each group being positioned on 1 of the 4 sides around the city. Commanders were on the look out with their telescopes for any brown shirted men running towards them. Sir Brian had ordered that the cannons be placed behind each line of infantry, on an inclined hill. The infantry were not too happy about this, but did not dare complain. Brian stood inside his officers tent surveying a map of the area around Baltimore. " If we see any columns marching towards us, we will then take the other two connecting sides to swing around and to form a cresent moon around the enemy, while the none connecting side will defend from behind! If we do not destroy the Catholics, we will at least prolong them enough for our comrades to arrive!" The other officers in the tent all nodded in agreement. Brian looked towards them " Well then? Get out there!" he roared. The officers scrambled out of the tents. Brian smiled at his effect on them.

Outskirts of Baltimore
After the messengers came back with the information on the British positions he brought out a map of Baltimore and summoned all the company commanders. "We should concentrate 4 of our artillery on the right side of their formation supported by the Saint Patrick's Company and half the Saint Hubert Company with their rifles to pick off any advance. On the center is where we will place the last artillery piece and the Saint Sebastian Company and the other half of the Saint Hubert Company. Finally on the left we should station the Saint Michael and Saint Thomas More Companies supported by the cavalry and myself but out of eyesight until scouts tell us the British are moving forces away from the far right than we'll charge smashing the right flank and enveloping them. All in agreement say ay." A chorus of "AY!" Was heard around the tent "Well then off to battle now lads Christ protect us all." With that the Company commanders left the tent and went to fulfill their orders. As Reason stepped outside of his tent he heard the cracks of rifles as the men of the Saint Hubert Company began harassing the British position.

"Fire!" Yelled the artillery Commander. A chorus of glorious cannon fire rang off in unison. The balls hit the forest throwing up a 15 ft wall of dust. Snipers had been firing into the line of his men. 9 dead. " Bloody good shots." the Commander said under his breath. He then pulled out his telescope to inspect the damage. He saw several bloodied brown shirted men amongst the torn down trees. he grinned. Then he peered farther out to see several lines of brown shirted men approaching. The captain looked up from his glass. " RELOAD!" He yelled out to the cannons. He grabbed one of the younger men working on the cannon closest to him. " Boy, tell Sir Brian we have spotted them. GO!" The boy nearly tripped in trying to run off. The Red coated men of the line made ready for their brown shirted foes to approach.
