It was October 31st, 2013 when a girl named Catrissa found out she had powers. She was absolutely terrified, and her parents didn't want anything to do with her. Catrissa had the power of telekinesis and can do anything to and with the earth. She hated everything about herself, mainly because everyone thought she was a freak and didn't belong. For these reasons, Catrissa runs away from everyone and hides the best she can. It had been two years since then and she still had absolutely no control over her powers, Catrissa still wanders around, looking for the best hiding places so nobody would be bothered or hurt by her and her powers.

Today is June 27, 2015, my 17th birthday. Multiple times today my hand had caught on fire. I had no idea why or what was happening, but I didn't get burnt. I don't know what will happen to me now that I seem to be some sort of freak. This is the type of stuff in movies or books- not in real life!

Catrissa was sitting on a park bench, watching the kids play. She didn't know where to go or what to do, not to mention her exhaustion. She stood up and started to leave, quietly, with tears in her eyes. She was happy, until she found out about her powers...

I walked past a bench in the park when the fire flared up in my palm again. "Shoot." I muttered under my breath and started walking away faster hoping no one would notice.

Catrissa thought softly, then she got a headache and it happened. One of the slides began to lift off the ground, making everyone climb off and run around, screaming. Catrissa whimpered as she looked around, everyone kept running, and so did she. As Catrissa ran, spikes of earth came up, terrifying more people. "No..." Catrissa said as she looked for shelter.

Catrissa suddenly tripped and she curled up under a tree, crying. Catrissa broke down completely and eventually she had cried so much that she passed out from dehydration.

I follow the out of place earth and try to make the fire in my palm go away at the same time. "Freak!" someone shouts at me, but I just walk away. The earth leads me to a tree where I find an unconscious girl. "Hey, are you ok?" I ask her when she wakes up.
