This is a open thread for a civil war type situation going on in my country, Mizentia. There is backstory in the thread you can read if you are interested. For people who don't want to contribute to the story, however, I have added a signup to make things simple and I have set the region where the war is, Asparamu, as a dungeon with quests for people to complete. When you sign up you will have to pick a side, select a troop type and strength, and then select which theatre you want to be deployed to. I will be dungeon master and my two combatants, the government and the PLA rebels, are the primary antagonist for each side.
If you want and know how to you can just post your own ORBAT with your signup but still follow the restrictions. I am trying to accomodate everyone from the most verbose RPers to the one-liners even.
I will add more objectives as they are unlocked.
I will post twice every day, once in the morning and once in the evening, so there is no need to rush your posts. Quote the posts of the other people doing the same 'quest' as you to keep the objectives separate and make it easier to follow. This is loosely cannon but only in a vauge way so don't worry about it

MAJOR OBJECTIVES
Klu’daro Village (pop: 1,800)
[SUMMARY. HVI believed to be possibly held captive within the village. Security forces need to search the area and extract]
El’chumek Valley
[SUMMARY. PLA guerillas are spread out in a network between the village communities of the valley. Substantial reserves of contraband are held in the area and fed by river passages to other insurgent cells. Security forces need, at a minimum, to keep the fighters from breaking out to menace other operations and sweep the area for supplies if possible.]
River Portage 5
[SUMMARY. Several large artillery guns present the largest threat of a generally heavily-fortified PLA position straddling a point on the River near the mountains. The guns will present a significant threat and the outpost will be a supply depot until the problem is dealt with.]
Arluq (pop: 415,000)
[SUMMARY. A city that thrives on commerce from the area’s farmers, who travel to sell their wares in exchange for craft goods. A potential HVI location. The PLA are known to have a presence inside and are popular with the farming folk. A 10th Century keep provides the insurgents with some defensive capacity.]
2. Theema Theater
ORBAT
PLA OpFor
Peasant's Liberation Army
- as many as 25,000 guerilla fighters
- 2000 or 3000 elite veterans
- rocket launchers, LMGs, and sniper rifles
- several full-size cannister artillery
- several antiquated AA machine guns
- landmines and IED

- 30 M270 MLRS
- 50 M40 recoilless rifle
MAJOR OBJECTIVES
Malabar (pop: 2,758,400)
[SUMMARY. Intel believes the HVI could have been taken to the city of Melabar, a traditional PLA stronghold. The population is extremely hostile to security forces and the cramped and sprawling urban layout presents many guerilla warfare challenges.]
Hill Cluster 7A and 7B
[SUMMARY. PLA mortar artillery is hidden in densely wooded hills. They have the ability to prevent movement along the main roads used by security forces until the mortar positions are located and neutralized.]
Vaemira Hills
[SUMMARY. The Vaemira hills block one of the best approaches to Melabar and have the potential to constrict security forces in a trap between the hills and the river – a bad situation. The hills are extensively fortified and contain numerous hidey-holes and other sophisticated camouflaged and semi-subterranean positions. They have to be destroyed to enjoy full range of operations in the zone.]
Af’shud (pop:312,683,500)
[SUMMARY. A sister city of Arluq, Af’shud is another farmers mecca and migrant capitol. The arable lands surrounding the city provide a healthy stream of recruits to the PLA and it will likely support its neighbor if it is attacked, and vice-versa.]
Bhatil (pop: CLASSIFIED)
[SUMMARY. CLASSIFIED]
3. Ladel Theater

Encampment 1
[SUMMARY. A common PLA-style encampment with earthen ramparts and a spiked ditch; inside will be mortar artillery and raised earthworks to enable rifle fire in defense. ]
Encampment 2
[SUMMARY. A slightly less-common style sometimes seen in extremely rough terrain, with a double-layer scheme imposed by raised wood and rope bridges between hill crests with room to maneuver underneath as well and some fortifications dug inside the hills. ]
Encampment 3
[SUMMARY. Mainly a supply and vehicle depot strategically kept high in the hills.]
Main Encampment
[SUMMARY. An entrepot for supplies and also fortified extensively in the common style, with four meter high wooden walls and junk-metal towers with electric lights, heavy gun emplacements, and barbed-wire perimeters]
