1848: A World of Revolution RP(AltHist-OOC-Signups!)

[World Anarchic Union]

The year is 1848. Revolutions across Europe and the world are planned with the power balance being upset and irrational over the past decades. The French Revolution was entirely successful and remains until this age with local councils having the power after executing King Louis XVI and his wife. With this success,soon, other revolutions were created in the Balkans, Russia, China, Japan and other parts of the world. France is a notable presence in this age as it has obtained large parts of Spain in the north, mainly Andorra, Catalonia, Aragon, Navarra. This sparked a revolution in Spain and Portugal creating the Iberian Revolutionary Council, an ally to the French Revolutionary Republic. Ireland had another revolution creating the Irish Revolutionary Republic in 1838. Now with numerous revolutions planned, there exist two sides:
The Revolutionary Alliance- France, Iberia, Ireland, numerous groups plannng revolutions
The Holy Alliance- Britain, Russia, other kingdoms in Europe and Asia
Which side will you be on?

I will be the OP for this RP. I have only made another one so I am open to proposals!

History:After the success of the French Revolution and the final defeat of the king and his supporters, the French Revolutionary Republic was created. Napoleon Bonaparte, a firm proponent of the republic, became general of the French Army and after provocations by Spain and ther king, a war was declared. However, the Spanish Kingdom was in turmoil after the Spansh Revolution of 1806 and revolutionaries had recently taken control of major cities in Portugal and Spain. With their assistance, the war was successful and France claimed parts of Spain in the north as well as Andorra while the newly-established Iberian Revolutionary Council was establiished in 1812. An Irish Revolution happened in 1823 with Ireland becoming a Revolutionary Republic and a close ally of France. After failed attempts at revolutions in Russia and other parts of Europe, France has plans to assist revolutions in Europe, Asia and Latin America.

History: The Kingdom of Hungary was united after Miklos Horthy I, destroyed the civil war in Hungary, shortly after that, he became the ruler, and begun making the Kingdom of Hungary. Miklos was a military man, seeing the Military needed help he supported the Military the most, with the economy. Miklos would than die, and his son took power of his Kingdom. Miklos Horthy II took over the Neighbooring countries, and killing any last man who upressed his Kingdom.

History: Ottomans were effected pretty badly after the French Revolution. Balkans revolted in 1839, causing a war to happen between 1839-1844. First, Ottomans were forced to give up lands at Balkans because of the pressure from International Community but after the tensions started to rise in Europe, Ottomans re-take some of their lost lands and making Non-Aggression Pact with Balkan nations to maintain peace in the region. Egypt and Libya saw this as a chance and declared their independence. Ottoman Empire, tired from the war made a peace with them and left Africa to them and signed Non-Aggression Pact with them too. Internal tensions started inside the Empire and a Civil War broke out in 1846. After 2 years of warfare, the war ended with victory of Monarch but he still accepted the demands of people to end the tensions once in for all. Abdulmecid declared Ottomans a Constitutional Republic, opening the parliament for ending the tensions.

The things that happened inside the Balkans changed the Foreign Policy of Ottomans as they broke off every sort of relations with other countries including Capitulations. Normally it would have cause Ottomans to go to war against European Powers but Revolutions caused Europeans to focus on each other which made Ottomans move a bit unnoticed. After The Civil War, Ottomans continued with the Isolationist Policy to be alone and safe from influences of other nations. Ottomans were also tired at that time so they were no way for them to compete with other nations for now.
Goals of the People: To make Ottomans a democratic nation and get better standards of living
Goals of the Government/Monarch: Re-stabilise Ottoman Empire and stay neutral during the tensions

History: For most of the time since the revolution, Persia under the Qajars was in relative decline. Though spared the extreme protests which occurred in other nations, the institution of the monarchy had been shaken to its core. No longer could the Shah and the nobles, through the Royal or Noble Durbar, rule absolute. Adjustments to taxes and other government decisions that affected the people had to be reviewed by a council of representatives of the people, The Citizens Durbar. The nobles desperate to cling on to whatever remaining powers they could, sided with the people and many nobles were then made representatives of the people, thus having a majority in both Durbars. This, however, left the monarch, the once mighty Shah, a mere shadow of those of yonder times.

Now, a new type of nobleman is to emerge, that best exemplified by the current premier, Amir Kabir. A loyal monarchist, who also seeks to reform and modernize the state administration and the military. Perhaps one the more controversial reforms would be to reduce the power of the clerics and to address any possible grievances of religious minorities. Both reforms while being very popular with modernists, secularists, and minority groups, have received backlash from traditionalists, clerics, and rural peoples. The tide of nationalism has awaken in Persia, or as they have always called it Eran/Iran. The slumbering Persian cat is once more ready to become the proud and mighty lion.

Goals of the People: To boost the standard of living, increase freedoms, remove corruption and nepotism, and participate in government
Goals of the Government/Monarch: Gain territory in Mesopotamia and unite the Iranian people and those who identify with her culture
