Another World Cup cycle is about to end, and this means it's time for a new Copa Rushmori edition, the twenty-first one! With Sargossa claiming victory in the twentieth and most recent Copa Rushmori, held all over the region, now we move on to a new edition in which a new winner could potentially claim a piece of silverware and inscribe its name in the Roll of Honour, and that winner could be YOU!

IMPORTANT:

• New nations joining Rushmore after the moment this thread was posted are ineligible to join.
• Regulars returning from CTE status after the moment this thread was posted may join, provided that they have competed in at least two (back-to-back) of the previous 20 Copa editions.
• Only one puppet will be allowed per OOC user (who must declare it as such when entering it) and their final inclusion into the tournament will be entirely up to the host's discretion.

Taeshani Bid for Copa Rushmori XXI

Format:
The Taeshani bid has formats ready for a 24 team tournament, a 25 team tournament, a 28 team tournament, a 30 team tournament and larger tournaments. Unlike our first tournament in charge we will not look to have a double round robin first round. In any case there will be a single round robin followed by a single elimination playoff bracket. In most cases this would be a 16 team tournament, with the top 2 or three teams from each group (depending on size and makeup of groups) advancing.

Tiebreakers:
Should a tie in points between teams occur during the group stage, the following tiebreakers shall be applied in their respective order:

(a) Head-to-head points between the tied teams
(b) Head-to-head goal difference
(c) Overall goal difference
(d) Number of wins
(e) Goals for
(f) Scorinated game between tied teams



Scorination:
The host shall use the most recent version of NSFS 3 that is available as it is the most used in his history. Scorination time is as yet to be determined but will likely be late eastern American time.
Should this bid win we will seek third party scorination for our group and any groups with my teams in (if Antoletia is used), and for all knockout round games.

Ranks and RP Bonus:
Ranks will be used for purpose of the draw, and those with previous ranks will be given a slight boost at the onset of the tournament. However, with the nature of this tournament leaning towards RP this will not be a majorly significant boost. RP will be considered paramount in this tournament. Roster posts will be given a one time rp bonus, and all rp's on a single day will count towards a pre set rp limit for one matchday. As always, quality is favored over quantity.

Previous Experience:
The user behind this nation has a long history on NS Sports. He has hosted one of the most successful Copa Rushmori's in tournament history, ok one of the Copa Rushmori's in the events history, the 14th event, and Co-hosted the 55th Cup of Harmony. He has also now hosted almost 50 seasons of Taeshan's domestic league, and has at times hosted the domestic leagues of his various puppets, and the domestic leagues for various other sports in Taeshan.
