The World Assembly:
NOTING that people immigrate from poorer countries to escape persecution, conflict or simply to start a better life;
RECOGNIZING that this is a subject that has previously been legislated by the General Assembly;
DISMAYED that often, immigrants are subject to exploitation in their new countries;
HEREBY
1. DEFINES "immigrant" as any person moving permanently into another country to live and work;
2. MANDATES that member nations accepting incoming immigrants do everything in their power to ensure immigrants' safe travel into the country;
3. TASKS member nations to register immigrants coming into their country to keep track of them;
4. DEMANDS that member nations do everything in their power to prevent exploitation of immigrants, including but not limited to:
- sexual exploitation
- degradation of their heritage
- personal harassment
5. HOPES that these regulations will aid immigrants in starting a new life.
