Unity Round | In this special event before the closing ceremony, all the triathletes will run together. The winner will receive the Unity Award.

Rosters
Rosters should include a brief description of the triathlete(s) participating, as well as the weakness and strengths. They may also include the uniform and materials the triathlete(s) will be using, and any other information that seems to be needed. It is highly suggested for the RP Permission Box to be included. An example of it is provided below. Also, please note that a Roster does not count as an RP for the first day for it is an extra bonus associations may receive.

Timbermunich Triathletes

Sixth Star Triathlon Worldwide Tournament

Bios/Roster

Timbermunich has three participants entered into this tournament. Now let’s take a closer look at each one and the equipment they will be utilizing for the triathlon.

Triathletes
Image

Great battle with a green Ax
First up is Great Battle who is our main leader and at this point in his life stage is estimated to be over 200 years old. He is the very first of all Greats in Timbermunich and he along with fellow competitor, Great One-Arm Willy, helped forge the path that Timbermunich has come down.  He currently resides in the Heart Canopy and leads fellow Greats in the protection of all of Timbermunich. Great Battle is currently on his third Senescence, the most by any Great so far, he is also the oldest of all Greats. He has many children all of which were found to contain the same Greatness that he has and they now live within the Heart Canopy as well. Great Battle has proven he has some good athleticism as he has competed in many sports during his Senescences. He finds Triathlons enjoyable as they test his overall endurance rather than just brute strength.

Image

Great One-Arm Willy returning from work
Next we have Great One-Arm Willy who was at one time Great Battles pupil. The two spend many hours together when Willy was growing up and was with Great Battle when he lost his arm. Great One-Arm Willy is seen as second in command throughout Timbermunich and was an integral part of getting the Nation to where it is now. Like Great Battle, Willy has many children and all were found to have the same Greatness. They too live within the Heart Canopy as Greats protecting all of Timbermunich. Great One-Arm Willy has been a big part of the sports teams of Timbermunich during his two Senescences and even though he sometimes struggles in triathlons he still finds them to be good competition as they are truly challenging.

Image

Great Hatchet Hank while hunting
Great Hatchet Hank is our last triathlete and the youngest of the group. He is on his very first Senescence and so far has enjoyed himself playing for the Nations Association Football team. His hope is to simply finish as he continues to work on his endurance. Hank is a great hunter and learned the skill from an Elder, Scharuka, and from his pre-Great love Scharika. He has been living in the Heart Canopy for a good number of years now and currently finds pleasure in spending time with Great Atalanta, who he has grown very fond of. His main task as a Great is to watch over the animals of Timbermunich, which is in addition to the other protectoral duties. This task is somewhat strange considering that he was the greatest hunter in all of Timbermunich prior to moving to the Heart Canopy. As for his triathlon skills; well he is still working on them but does enjoy the swimming more than anything. His hope is to just stay with the pack.

Equipment
Timbermunich has an official Triathlete Suite. This is a state of the art suite produced by our neighbors, HopNation. We thank them for the production of these suites and think they will help the three triathletes perform at their best.

Image

Our bicycles have also been custom made in HopNation, just for our athlete’s unique riding style. The bike, however, do not have a place for holding their axes so Great Battle might be a little mad at that little omission. But nonetheless these are great bikes and should keep our athletes well in the mix of things.

RP Info
You may use our triathletes in any way you see fit, but know that Greats cannot be killed (we are still unsure if they ever die) or injured. Well they can be injured but heal at an extraordinary rate so can never be knocked from a competition.  They are a brawny bunch and prefer events that highlight their strength, but don’t be fooled as they have very good endurance as well.

Victoria "Porkchop" Parker - Female - 38 - "Porkchop", as she likes to be called, was born and raised in the capital city of Arcadia, Euroslavia. She is the oldest of the participating group, but she has the most experience and will come in handy with giving advice to the younger competitors. Her strength has become her endurance, but the bicycling portion has always been an event that isn't as strong as she would like to be.
Swim: 9/10
Run: 8/10
Bicycles: 7.5/10
Speed: 8/10
Endurance: 10/10

Violet Chachki - Female - 21 - Violet Chachki is the youngest of the bunch. Porkchop and Violet butt heads quite often simply due to the personality type difference as well as the matter of experience (versus the lack of, with Violet). She has an incredible amount of potential and has proven it in events across Euroslavia, but these skills need to be honed. If she's going to do well, she's going to need to stay humble and listen to suggestions and tips from her team.
Swim: 9.5/10
Run: 8/10
Bicycles: 8/10
Speed: 8/10
Endurance: 10/10

Jasmine Masters - Female - 30 - Jasmine Masters, while very talented, comes off very cocky. She is like an older version of Violet, except that she hasn't learned a single thing about humility. When it comes to being under pressure, she's able to accomplish amazing things, but her attitude needs to improve in order to not piss off the rest of the contestants.
Swim: 8.5/10
Run: 9/10
Bicycles: 8.5/10
Speed: 8/10
Endurance: 9.5/10

Jessica Wild - Female - 32 - Jessica Wild is the 'team mascot' of the group. She keeps everyone from killing each other and she is incredibly humble. She displays an immense amount of passion and a strong desire to enjoy herself no matter what. Though the latter could potentially become a problem if she doesn't buckle down and concentrate on the competition.
Swim: 7.5/10
Run: 9/10
Bicycles: 10/10
Speed: 8/10
Endurance: 9/10

Courtney Act - Female - 28 - Courtney Act is the most accomplished of the entire group in terms of competition. Her endurance is her strongest suit, being able to rough it out no matter what event it is. Bicycles aren't her strongest, but she makes up for it in the other events. Courtney is the leader of the team, so in order for the entire Euroslavian team to do well, she's going to need to keep the group in line.
Swim: 9/10
Run: 8.5/10
Bicycles: 7/10
Speed: 9/10
Endurance: 10/10

Jaidynn Diore Fierce - Female - 22 - Jaidynn Diore Fierce is one of the younger members of the team. She has the skills, but she lacks the confidence, which is where Courtney and Jessica come into play. Their motivation keeps Jaidynn working hard, simply because she doesn't quite see the potential she has. In time and with testing, she'll eventually gain this and become an even greater athlete. Perhaps she will even challenge Courtney's skills.
Swim: 10/10
Run: 8/10
Bicycles: 8/10
Speed: 9/10
Endurance: 8.5/10

HopNation could be considered a powerhouse when it comes to Triathlons. We have fantastic facilities for training and some of the best courses for our events. We pride ourselves in trying to generate the best triathletes and this season we are changing how we select those participants for international competition. In the past we simply took our top three triathletes from the prior season and sent them on their way to compete against the best that other Nations have. Now we are refining this and choosing those triathletes that are currently performing at their best in the hopes that they truly our best at this given moment in time. We will see how that plays out considering our list of triathletes only includes one well known triathlete and past winner Warren VonHopton. Without further ado, here they are.

Men
Aldo Hasbrouck: Hasbrouck has been improving greatly over the last few months and is currently the leader of the Men’s Triathlon Series of HopNation. He has shown good form in all aspects of the triathlon; swimming swiftly, cycling craftily, and running rapidly. If our fans had one thing to comment about it would have to be related to his style when running, this is mainly because of his interesting (to say the least) gait. His knees seem to swing outward and thrust his feet forward in a semi-circular motion, it really is rather odd but it works for him and we are surprised he has had no injuries based on it so why change it.

Henry Edick: Edick is number two right now on the men’s list and is actually tied with Hasbrouck for points, but based on scoring he is behind him after the second event. He is extremely fast on the biking sections, which is good because he isn’t very fast in the water. For Edick the running section is typically a maintain phase, assuming his cycling has him in good position after the need to make up ground out of the water. Over all he is well rounded and competes with the best of them in every event.

Warren VonHopton: Probably the only triathlete from HopNation that needs little to no introduction. VonHopton has been our best triathlete in recent years and is still near the top of the list after a couple of events this season, currently in third just one point behind the two leaders. Over the past two seasons he has increased his swim speed which has helped him greatly keep up with some of the youngsters that have arrived on the scene. Expect him to perform well here.

Females
Josephine Rock: Rock is well, the rock of the woman’s side. She is good at all aspects of the triathlon but if we had to choose it would be her running that is best. She posts strong times on the running sections of any event and this has led her to overtaking her completion if she happens to be behind them after the swim and ride portion. We are hopeful that she can perform as well here and bring back pride to our woman triathletes.

Loan Klepper: Klepper is trailing Rock by just a few points on the overall leader board and has some great potential. She is a great swimmer and was actually a national champion while in secondary school. Since she cross trained with running and cycling it was only natural that the triathlon coaches found her and got her started in these events. She should do very well here.

Regine Baine: Baine is simply tough as nails. She once finished a race with a broken arm and some nasty road rash after crashing in a pileup during the cycling portion of an event. She can make it through almost anything if she sets her mind to it and is one of the only female triathletes to finish HopNation’s Double Ultra Triathlon (distance of two Ironmans). I see her placing well here.

Good luck to all competitors!

The sun rose in the east and as it started its journey across the sky the rays of light bent through the atmosphere and created an orangish red glow to take over the sky. It was going to be a warm day, but not out of the ordinary. The day will bring some great competition throughout the lands. One that will crown a new Champion of the Axe when the day is through. This competition has been going on for years now and it never fails to be a great showing of strength, accuracy, and pure ability with an Axe. The competition has been going for nearly a week now and has dwindled the field down to just 10 competitors. The first event of the day will be the Axe throw and will start each participant at 10 meters with each round backing them up 5 meters until one individual is left. All they have to do at this particular event is hit the target to move on. Last season’s event champion was all the way out at 105 meters before finally missing the 1 meter diameter log. The second event will be the log lunge, which is where each competitor tries to toss a 3 meter long ½ meter diameter log as far as they can backwards over their shoulder. The log is allowed one flip after hitting the ground before the final measurement is made. The third and final competition will be the timber chop, which is a timed event to see how fast the competitor can chop through a 3 meter diameter log (all competitors use the same log for fairness of log firmness – after all the log is nearly 40 meters long). Hopefully we will have some very close results when all the points are tallied up and we crown our champion. Lets see how things go….

Competitors are set and ready for the first event of the day. All ten are lined up at the 10 meter mark and have their throwing axes in hand. The gong sounds and almost simultaneously the axes float through the air, all of which stick firmly in their target. They move back 5 meters and throw again, each axe again sinking into the log with a thwack as the crowd looks on to see who will be the first participant eliminated from this event. They move back again, and again ever time all competitors firmly sticking the throw into their logs. It’s not until the 55 meter mark where the first miss happens and not just one miss but four competitors happen to miss at that distance, one of which actually hit knob first and the weight and speed of the throw shattered the haft. We were now down to 6 and reaching distances where one would figure we’d have many misses coming, but it wasn’t until 80 meters that we had our next miss. This time two competitors were eliminated. One over threw and missing the target completely while the other hit butt first. It was dead center on the log, but the blunt end of the butt simply bounced off. Now down to 4 competitors we entered 85 meters, each had wonderful throws but only two stuck as it seemed the logs were starting to wear down. The final two moved on to 90 meters, 95 meters, and then 100 meters out. Would we see a new record distance this year or would we have a winner at 100 meter? Both participants threw at the same time and as the axes spun through the air it was clear they were both going to hit the targets. They turned one more time in the air, thwack, both stuck firmly into the logs. Now at 105 meters, a distance that only one person has ever hit the target at let alone stick his axe. Again both competitors threw and both throws looked to be on target. Thwack, thwack, both axes hit and stuck at 105 meters and we moved back to 110. The two launched their axes nearly in unison and again they looked to be on target, but one was spinning a bit faster than the other. They neared the target and the axe on the left came around to hit blade first, sticking firmly. The other, the one on the right, spun around twice in the same distance and also stuck firmly into the log. They moved back again to 115 meters to throw again. This time the man on the left threw first followed by the woman on the right. The man’s throw looked on target but was wobbling slightly off kilter, the woman’s throw also looked on target and spinning at the same rate as her prior throw. The first throw hit and the crowd was silent as the off kilter wobble caused the axe to hit its target cheek first and fall to the ground. The woman’s throw, even though spinning at the same rate as the prior distance traveled true to the target and a resonating thwack, and roar form the crowd, it stuck firmly into the log. The woman was overjoyed and wouldn’t you know it broker her prior record by 10 meters. The competitors celebrated the accomplishment with her and then prepared for the next event, knowing she would gain be hard to beat….

SIXTH STAR TRIATHLON WORLDWIDE TOURNAMENT

Well folks we have had to great days of competition so far and there has been some excellent performances turned in, not so much by our Hoptonian athletes but by many others. Not that our athletes performed poorly, they were simply out performed by the competitors in their groups. Well with the exception of Loan Klepper who managed to finish 1st in her group, despite a 4th place finish on the second day. We did manage to send 3 of our six triathletes to the final round, so hopefully they can have their best performances and bring home some hardware.

Here is a breakdown of our triathletes and how they finished in their groups.
Josephine Rock was in group 2 and on the first day she stumbled a bit, literally on the run, and fell back to 6th place in her group with a time of 1:54:20.91. Then on day 2 she bounced back from her running issues and won her group with a time of 1:51:29.51, nearly 3 minutes faster than the prior day. This brought her up to 3rd overall in her group but was out of the top two and will be stuck watching from the sidelines on the final day.

Henry Edick did not do so well in this competition. He fell way behind on the cycling section, which was caused to a broken chain that needed to be repaired midway through. This caused him to be a lap down on day 1. He had no troubles on day 2 but was not able to stay with the competition within his group and only managed a dismal 6th place finish. This left him with only 3 points and a dead last place finish in his group, so he too will be watching the final from the sideline.

Warren VonHopton placed well, not as well as he would have liked, and will be participating in the final. He won his group on day 1 with what looked to be the 6th fastest time overall on that day. Then on day two he had some trouble maintaining his form and fell back to 4th in his group and nearly 6 minutes slower than his prior finish. He ended up finishing 2nd in his group to make the final.

Loan Klepper got off to a great start by finishing first on day 1 with a very respectable time. Then on day two she did not do so well and finished in 4th but her day 1 efforts held off the others in her group and she ended up finishing 1st in her group to move on to the final.

Regine Baine did well for herself and came out of day 1 with a 3rd place finish. It wasn’t her best race overall but still very good. Then on day 2 she did not perform as well and ended the day in the 4th position. However due to some major flip flopping in her group she actually ended up in 2nd place overall and will be moving onto the final.

Aldo Hasbrouck is our last participant and he did not do well at all on day 1 as he finished 6th in his group. Then on day 2 he had a great performance and finished at the top of his group. But because of is day 1 blunders and the consistency of others in his group he only managed to place 4th overall and will be watching the final.

Well that takes us through all of our participants for this event. Good luck to those that made the final and hopefully we will see one of them at the top of the podium when everything is finished.

Brew On! Brew Well Hoptonians!
