A parade was going down Main Street in Los Angeles. They were celebrating the anniversary of their 5th year of independence. Tanks were rolling with their cannons pointing at the sky, and platoons were marching in perfect unison. People were cheering the soldiers on. The airforce did a flyover with F-22s and near the end fireworks were launched from rooftops. The people in the city were celebrating and enjoying their evening.

Premier Aleksandrina Konstantinov was a son of a very prominent family in Russia. His grand father had fought in the Russian civil war, and his father had once been the leader of the Ukrainian SSR. He was the most far reaching in politics of his family's history, as he was now on top. He had successfully united the nation in times of crisis, putting ends to riots and rebels. The only real worry he had was Mongolia, as the Mongols were crying for union. After seeing what happened with Inner Mongolia in china, they had called for war and revenge. But the premier didn't find it necessary. He knew that the USSR already has over 1/4 (or 1/5 I don't know exactly) of China's original homeland, and he knew it had stained the Sino-Soviet relations forever. He wanted to defuse the situation as soon as possible, so he called for talks. He wrote off a letter to China.

Japan (Japanese: 日本 Nippon or Nihon; formally 日本国 Nippon-koku or Nihon-koku, "State of Japan") is an island nation in East Asia. The T-55s and T-72s strolled down the road on parade at Tianammen Square. Several boxes of soldiers with white uniforms and the flag knitted to their shoulders. They clutched either Type 56 AK-47s, Vietnam Era M16s, recent M16s or MP5s. SPGs, rocket launchers, missiles, and artillery als o passed by. The civilians in attendance cheered for the soldiers and the picture of Revolutionary Hero Sun-Yat-Sen. This may have been a show of force but it was not towards China's neighbors. It was to make China feel great about themselves even after a tumultuous revolt. China wished peace for its neighbors and itself so the President sent a diplomatic team to Russia to insure that violence would not erupt. But as their military equipment was outdated they needed to sighn an arms contract. If Texas or California agreed to that, China's army could look more like America's was. Fortunately, the harvest was succesfull. The rice terraces yielded more then usual. Industry suffered when the PDPP and KMT agreed to end cheap labour. But it would not be dead for ever. But it would soon regrow. However, recognizing that the USSR posed a threat, several battalions of the CPA (Chinese People's Army) were placed at the borders. For National Security. Soon once more the container barges will be all traveling to in from China.

Article 9 Japanese Constitution

The Article 9 Japanese Constitution has been established after Japan was defeated in World War II by the former State of Japan and the United States of America. Over the years, there have been different attempts to change or abolish Article 9, which was adopted in 1947. Shinzō Abe, Prime Minister of Japan since late 2012, is a supporter of making Article 9 less restrictive. In January 2013, Naomi Takasu from Zama, Kanagawa emailed the Norwegian Nobel Committee to promote Article 9 as a means to protect children. She tried to get Article 9 itself nominated for the Nobel Peace Prize, but since she didn't have the time to organise protests, she campaigned from home, by email. Joined by other people from Zama and from Sagamihara, she formed the "Organizing Committee for the Nobel Peace Prize for Article 9 of the Constitution.", which by August 2013 had gathered 24,000 signatures to support the nomination.

After receiving the petition, the Committee replied that the Prize can only be awarded to people or organizations, disqualifying the Article 9 nomination. Takasu then changed the nomination to be about the Japanese people who want to keep Article 9. Since not everyone can make nominations for the Prize, she couldn't officially nominate the group herself. A number of Japanese professors with the right qualifications supported her cause and submitted the revised nomination.

The group has continued to grow in Japan and receive support from all over the world. By June 2014, about 80,000 people had signed the petition. Notable members include Yōichi Komori, professor at the University of Tokyo and leader of the group Kyujo no Kai ("Association of Article 9"). Political reactions to the group and the chances of a Nobel Prize for it have been mixed.

The news of a oil pipeline exploding got the attention of the State of California. A federal investigation was underway and so far, it looked like a rusty valve was the culprit. The government was giving aid to the families affected by the incident. But John Smith had a way to turn the accadent into a golden bargaining chip. He wanted to expand into Canada, but without violence.

He ordered that Canadian Citizens take a vote on the annexation of British Columbia. He also ordered that the New California Republic try to buy up land in the aera. Imeaditley oil companies would be bought up, followed by industry, and residential areas. Propaganda campaigns would be launched to help put the odds in the NCR's favor. If Canada refused to join the NCR, they would accuse them of sabotaging the pipeline.

The government was on the way to becoming a hypernation. Their GDP was on a slight rise, and it's reaserch was advancing quickly. A young nuclear program would be able to produce dozens of high quality warheads in weeks. Their military technology was a step ahead of most other nations. A small budget increase in the space program would also send them on the way to Mars.

A Russian ambassador greets them saying "I'm sorry, sirs, but the Premier is not here right now, but I have been appointed to make due and serve as his substitute." He paused, grabbed a vodka out of the little fridge and said "you want a shot?"

Northern Chile is unique in that it is the only member-nation that is allowed semi-independence. Tensions for war have risen once more, a mere 2 years after the first South American War.

The Federation wishes to incorporate French Guyana and Central America. Cuba and Nicaragua are expected to be incorporated peacefully while some others are not. War is on the horizon.

The streets of Copenhagen, the capital of the Danish state, were filled with noise and the scent of street food lingered in the air. Thousands, maybe hundreds of thousands, had arrived to celebrate the announcement of the new State Governor, in this years People's Elections.

The crowd erupted in cheer, and alcohol was opened simultaneously. Patriotic chants filled the air, as this celebratory moment would go down in history for the wrong reasons.

In less than 2 minutes after the announcement, a loud explosion was seen in the distance, and heads turned to see the Naargard Building, a new office building, erupt into flames as it blew up, glass flying out. Gunmen then leaped out of vans, and began firing on police and citizens. This was truly a horrifying day for the Danes.

The company's main income source had become trading armoured vehicles (albeit at a slightly increased price, but a man's gotta eat (and buy more APCs)) with the very nations that condemned the company's very existence.
John still had hope, however. The world was looking more unstable everyday! The great powers were parading their armies in some sort of macho pissing contest, which meant he could expect some business opportunities in the future, even from the more "honourable" nations who didn't want to get their hands dirty with a few civilian deaths, and especially from the small nations seeking protection. Oh yes, 2020 was Black Briar's year for sure.

With the reunification of the peninsula, Songun ideology’s effectiveness waned, and the economy is now given full priority. Military spending matched pre reunification South Korean numbers, to defend the new republic, from possible foreign aggression. The new Republic is now the 11th largest economy in the world replacing Canada, due the new ability to tap into the Northern parts previously untouched natural resources, the new DPRK has developed into a massive economic powerhouse, with the economy in full boom. The new government is not isolated by any means, with excellent relationships with the Soviet Union, Vietnam, Cuba, and many other foreign countries.

Ever since reunification, the paranoid fear that dominated the northern part of the peninsula to isolationism has now ended, and the economy in the follows the Singapore example of a meritocracy. Following the new principle that all people are born equal, and should be provided with equal opportunities, a perfect balance of capitalism, and communism. The country is now energy self reliant, using the massive coal reserves of the north. To put pollution to a minimum they are using the new KoreaCoal(fictional) power plants that produce just as much power as normal power plants, however they produce much less pollution, due to a new filter system.

Prime Minister Shinzō Abe has no choice as he got pressured from the demands of the anti-article 9 organization and the Imperial National Party but to establish the Japanese referendum for the Article 9. The referendum is organized by the Japanese government and all vote polls for the referendum is placed nationwide, including Ryukyu Islands, Okinawa Islands, and Japanese Kuril Islands. The voting for the Japanese referendum for the Article 9 has just begun and this Japanese referendum is trending nationwide if not worldwide.

Assassination Plan of Prime Minister Shinzō Abe

Meanwhile, in the hangout building of the Imperial National Party, a Yakuza member was kidnapped by the Imperial National Party; a new political party of Japan. The Yakuza guy was well tied from a big rope and the member of Imperial National Party was aiming his gun to the kidnapped Yakuza guy.

The Yakuza guy was screaming and screaming but no one couldn't hear him as he and the member was in an interrogating-like room. The member said, "Well, hello, rich man, welcome to the Imperial National Party hangout building, I know that the Yakuza supported the removal of Article 9, now, I will tell you a secret, can you assassinate the dear Prime Minister Shinzō Abe?" the Yakuza guy replied, "Why would I assassinate a conservative leader of Japan? He isn't a cruel leader of this nation." the INP member replied, "Because the Imperial National Party wants to replace the Liberal Democratic Party and the Prime Minister!" the Yakuza guy, "Do you know that the Yakuza organization only knows about business, not a goddamn political pig!" the INP member said, "I will give you ¥500,000 (500k yen) just to assassinate that conservative leader!" the Yakuza guy spits the face of INP member and he replied, "No. We don't kill leaders, we kill enemies." the member starts punching the Yakuza guy and then the Yakuza guy kicks the INP member, the member fell down and the Yakuza guy stands up, the other members of Imperial National Party interfere the interrogating room, they wielded their gun and aims at the Yakuza guy. The Yakuza guy shouted, "WHAT!? YOU WILL KILL ME!? KILL ME AND YOUR DEAD, THE YAKUZA WILL HUNT YOU DOWN!" the member of INP said, "C-..calm down, I will give you..¥2 million yen so that the Yakuza will become richer..." the Yakuza guy replied, "Where's the fucking ¥2,000,000 then?" the member points the suitcase to the Yakuza guy, the Yakuza guy open it and inside of it is 2,000,000 fucking yen, the Yakuza guy replied, "Thank you, now, I will assassinate the Prime Minister but the Yakuza will blame the Imperial National Party about this." the members of INP untied the Yakuza guy, the Yakuza guy grab the suitcase and leave the hangout building of the Imperial National Party.
