Cartoons: Which are the dumbest?

Postby Nilla Wayfarers » Mon Apr 06, 2015 11:03 am

We all know that cartoons are universal brain killers, but here's a poll to see which are the most deadly... Only Cartoon Network programs, and two votes, in case you're stuck between two...

Adventure Time has some merit of its' own, I'd say. Not sure for the rest, they can stay six-year-old and rule XXXIV material.
The United Colonies of Earth exists:
to bring about the settlement of all planets not yet inhabited by a sapient species within this Galaxy and Universe by the Human Race, or all members of the species Homo sapiens;
to ensure the observation and protection of the rights of all human beings;
to defend humankind from invasion, catastrophe, fraud and violence;
to represent the interests of humankind to the other governments of the Galaxy;
to facilitate the perpetuation of the unity of human civilization and infrastructure between otherwise self-governing colonies;
and to promote technological advancement and scientific discovery for the perpetuation and expansion of the unity and empowerment of all human beings.

Gotta respect the classics: Ren and Stimpy was possibly the stupidest fucking show ever made, but soooo inspirational.

I like Adventure Time and RegShow, but I can see how someone might just see them as ridiculous.

From your list, Uncle Grandpa and Gumball (funny that I used to like that one once upon a time). I would also add SpongeBob (it used to be good but now it's just stupid).

I like Adventure Time and Regular Show, but I understand why they would be here. But how dare you put Foster's Home For Imaginary Friends! That was such a great show!

Teen Titans, Go! is a strong contender considering it spits on the original show in so many ways.

You're going to make a lot of twelve year olds on Youtube angry by not putting MLP on the dumb show list.

Anyways, I haven't watched many of these, but Clarence seemed quite potato.

That could not be more wrong.

Cartoon Network has been hitting it out of the park recently.

Clarence, Gumball, Steven Universe, etc. are all pretty great.

To be honest, the stupidest out of that list is Uncle Grandpa, but that's basically a kid friendly version of those dumbass stoner cartoons that air on Adult Swim.

That show was just a relic of the early internet. Mindless blood, gore, and shock value. It would've been better off on Newgrounds.

Teen titans Go is The most insulting adaptation of a show i've ever seen I just saw brief parts of one where they were trying to be "serious"
and it killed some of my childhood.

Everything on the poll except Legends of CHIMA (because I have no fucking clue what that is) and Foster's Home for Imaginary Friends (mainly because it was on Cartoon Network before it went down the toilet). Everything else is shit, especially Teen Titans Go. Whomever created this "spin-off" should be imprisoned for the rest of their life.

^This.

I have to mention Teen Titans Go! in particular though, for ruining a fantastic memory of my childhood and committing the ultimate blasphemy against such a great show. :p

This. I still find myself singing Canadian Kilted Yaksmen or Happy Happy Joy Joy too far often for a supposedly grown up thirty something male.

Probably Cow & Chicken or one of those other Ren & Stimpy knockoffs. I haven't really watched any of the recent cartoons that look really bad because why would I? Chowder seems pretty terrible, but I haven't actually seen it.

Foster's is great, btw. No clue what it's doing on this list.

Uncle Grandpa, hands down.

As much as I hold appreciation for the old cartoons, I like Adventure Time (I also like the drawing style) and some Regular Time episodes.

As a victim of Chinese propaganda using cartoons to fill kids' brains with illogic, I have to say that any cartoon made in China that everyone there knows about beats everything else on the list in the poll.

Sadly Wikipedia does not have all articles on these shit.
