Greetings and welcome to the Sovereign Pony Alliance; we are a military alliance dedicated to uniting and protecting sapient pony nations as well as combat the vicious reactionaries of the Anti-Ponyist Union. Recently we seen a rise in hostilities towards the sapient pony race, with no real alliance aimed towards the interest of actually standing up and protecting our fellow equines. Too many times, have atrocities been committed against us with no justice served against the perpetrators. That's going to change....

Somepony will have to take the responsibility to lead the divided pony species to overcome the challenges of a multi-species society, and I'll happily represent those who join my cause as well as protect their sovereignty. Let us not make enemies and judge those who are simply different, but rather their merits and treatment of ponykind. Let us come together and work to achieve a secure future for our species and construct a monument of multi-species tolerance. A new tomorrow, starts today.

Well, i've ever only done it once, but here it is. The only post i've written to break the character limit, and it took me 3 days to write. I probably won't do that well most of the time, but it does show what i am capable of.

(IC)Reason For Joining:The Harmonist Empire have it within religious belief Squeeheart is destined to spread the word of Harmony to the world and offer peace to anyone who needs it. Religion isn't the main reason for joining though. And i have a nation so obsessed with war, that it has the defensive strategy, resources, and all the built and ready fortifications to make invading my nation alone a blood bath for the entirety of your alliance. Just because you are big, does not mean little David cant break yer nose.

Of course that's PMT mostly. The same tactic is not quite as deadly efficient in MT. Cause less explodey things.

With FT, though... well you can ask your Co-Op Ozzy why i don't use my FT nation hardly at all. It's a very good reason.

If this is the sort of opposition we're dealing with in the Anti-Ponyist Union, then this means the new APU has learned almost nothing from the old. One of the reasons the older version failed before is due to having members who didn't know how to roleplay and didn't have any real in-character reason to be against ponies. Some members of the old APU didn't even bother making up an excuse for hating ponies; they just did.

I'm almost willing to bet this APU will fall in the same way as the predecessor, and that's just sad.

They started out doing alright, avoiding the CoPS who before were rather toxic to them.

Now, however, they've let in a couple members i can identify quite easily have nothing but OOC hate as their reason, and could potentially be flamebaity in using that reasoning. Hell, even their Leader is becoming the very thing he claimed to have despised. He talks about all the shit other people throw at him, and now, he's throwing it himself.

I know the co-founder too. He is a good friend of mine. Even over skype, he agreed with me he was getting a bit concerned with the above issues, and other smaller ones i brought up. A month ago, i told him i wouldn't mind at all having a sort of mass religious war with their PMT members. Now, i see behavior that is going to make anyone who was level-headed, and open to their existence, turn away from any interaction with them.

Oh, and since i know they watch this thread (because i watch their's out of curiosity to see how they're doing, it is afterall partially belonging to a friend of mine - i'd like to see him do well), i'll label some of the issues. The trash talking. Yes, people do it to you. Don't do it back, it makes you just as bad or worse than them. Usually the latter. The arrogance. It's insane. Saying we'd be an easy pushover? You get you'd be the attackers right? And even without Lub you have an Empire like me, with a massive highly-advanced military, that is huge geographically? Yeah, you could probably still win. But it wouldn't be easy. Not in any definition of the word.
The 'reasoning'. Yes, i understand many of you have OOC reasons for this. Here's a tip; keep them to yourself. Don't plaster it out in public for anyone - including the people you intend to RP with - to see. The ones who weren't throwing crap at you, and were open minded to any RPs with you, are going to turn away just from that. And finally, there is a reason RP examples are recommended. I won't name anyone, but i do know of people who have a reputation - even from their friends - for godmodding behavior. It's not an issue, now, of course.

And that's because i don't foresee very many RPs with people beyond your organization anymore. So the issue that may have caused, is now irrelevant. It's rather a downer to see, because when i watched it first trying to start up again - it seemed like it was being done right - like you had a chance to actually DO what that organizations REAL PURPOSE is, which is roleplaying. You've gone and squandered that, with your shit-slinging, and degrading attitude, among other issues.

This is just my opinion. However, your co-leader does agree at least partially with me - in the sense that he definitely feels things are starting to take a wrong turn.

I will (hopefully) soon put up an IC thread made for the APU, but it's designed to be perfect for pony character applications as well.
Setting would be a somewhat post-apocalyptic Earth, where ponies appear and offer humans a chance to escape the hellhole most of the world has turned to: ponification. But can the humans trust the ponies, and would you even be "human" after that process anymore? If that sounds familiar, it's based on the Conversion Bureau subgenre, which was popular a few years ago.

I think having both sides be represented in a common rp would make for a vastly more interesting and exciting experience than have separate threads. As the owner of the thread, I would also enforce moderation and not tolerate any OOC hate or flaming. Sounds good?
