"War does not determine who is right- only who is left."- Bertrand Russel
The year is 2020. Everyone thought that the world was going finally see some peace after one of the biggest rising terrorist threat, ISIS, was wiped out in an NATO operation lead by the United States in 2017. But in fact, it would only be the beginning of even bigger conflicts to come in the years, as tensions rise inside or between countries. Among the many examples is the escalating conflict between the Pakistan and India, which led the two to practically wipe each other off the map, both countries turning into an irradiated wasteland in 2018. Along with this, several new terrorist factions would pop up, as if to replaced the now destroyed ISIS. However, these were not limited to the that area of the world.
In 2019, Civil War has erupted in Russia between Loyalist and Nationalist forces in which the Nationalist hope to bring back the glory of Imperialist Russia. Not long after that, China declared war on Taiwan in attempt to "unify" their people, which has also sucked in South Korea in conflict, as they supported China. Seeing this as an opportunity, North Korean leadership ordered a full-scale invasion of the South, as their most pro-active ally, the United States of America was busy in its own conflict. After a year of changed leadership, Mexico declared war against the United States of America, when a government back cartel kidnapped the current President during his visit to a small Texas town. This caused about half of Latin America to back them up, while also managing to get help from Portugal and Brazil.
As war brought a lot of business, multiple mercenary organizations were born, which included the newly formed Shadowhammer International. Built on the idea of a non-state or military owned armored unit, it has caught the idea eyes of many, as the thought is similar to the 1st American Volunteer Group. A highly specialized mercenary group, the roughly 450 personnel mercenary unit is already being hired by several factions that have popped up. This will follow their tales of the battles they fought in.
