The War Story
Europe
June, 1941: The German didn't invade the Soviet Union therefore Operation Barbarossa never happened. Allowing Germany to focus on the United Kingdom. Thus allowing the USSR to adopt its own agenda during the War. The USSR decided to invade the Middle East and conquered it in mere months, establishing new communist middle eastern governments. With the Russians preoccupied in the Middle East, Hitler successfully fended off the Allied invasion of Normandy in 1944, and thus continued to push the British. While the Americans and the British had succeeded in invaded in Italy, it was short lived, and the Allies finally fell back. Germany thus renewed Italy and the two pushed south though Africa. The fateful Battle at Luanda in Angola forced peace. The War ended on July, 15th 1945. While the treaty ending the war basically made a stalemate, tensions are still high, with the UK being the only nation in Europe not under or allied with Hitler.
The Pacific
As the Normandy invasion wasn't a total failure, the Americans still were able to steal many German Scientist and create the Atomic Bomb. This bomb was kept secret, while the US fought the Japanese Empire. With a moving force, the US war machine was kicked into high gear, allowing the Americans to win great victories at Midway, Guadalcanal, Palau, Io Jima, and Okinawa. The Japanese however didn't surrender, which then the US responded by dropping the Atomic Bombs on Nagasaki and Hiroshima. Japan surrendered on August 15th, ending the war in the Pacific. The US quickly occupied Japan, and helped it reconstruct. The US occupation in Japan ended in 1950, due to the new cold war with the USSR and Germany.
Five Year Later
It's now 1950, The three superpowers- Germany, the Soviet Union, and the United States, are at the brink of another world war. It is a Cold War on a massive scale. though The United Nations has been founded, it has done nothing to calm tensions. Now with a war in Korea and a rebellion in the UK, It looks like we are at the end of the world.
