Taigawa calls summit with Aravea (PMT/FT OPEN)

After a new government takes power in the country of Aravea, Empress Neyla, the current head of the Imperial Patalia Dynasty of Taigawa, has called the Imperial Council of Cheng Yíån into an emergency session to discuss the implications it could have for the future of her nation's relations with Aravea. After some debate, it was decided to invite the leaders of the new government in for an international summit- the first major incident in the reign of the late empress.

The Rules
All NS rules apply: that means no flaming/bating/trolling or whatnot
I am OP; My word is law.
NO godmodding/metagaming/etc.

This is my first RP in International Incidents, so I am open to suggestions on how to improve it.

Bright Hill Presidential Complex, Oured, Aravea

Major General Armstrong sat quietly at her desk in the former office of the Primarch going over reports from her soldiers in the various sectors of Oured. For her the day following her successful coup had been one of stress and rapid negotiations with the various regional commanders and politicians of Aravea to ensure that there wouldn't be any attempted counter coup. Needless to say she was on the verge of falling asleep when one of her aides burst into the room shouting "General Armstrong! We have just recieved a message from the Empress of Taigawa. She wishes to request a summit with you mi'lady"

Armstrong's eyebrow slightly in irration at the remark by the soldier but she calmed before saying "Fair enough sergeant. Tell the Empress that we are willing to meet with her as soon as we finishing rounding up the last remnants of the leftists within the capital. You're dismissed sergeant". As the sergeant left the room the General sighed deeply before thinking "Well this certainly is an interesting turn of events..."

White Tiger Palace, Cheng Yíån, Day 12 of Month 6 in the 138th Year in the reign of Her Imperial Majesty

Empress Neyla sat on the Crystal Throne in the throne room of the White Tiger Palace, Usually just referred to as the Imperial Palace by outsiders and by the media. Suddenly, a messager burst into the chamber and without so much as a word, shoved a tablet with the message in her face. Neyla dismissed him before she read the message and replied in kind.

One week later

In the week following her conversation with Empress Neyla, a lot had changed for General Armstrong. She had gone from governing a nation undergoing a coup to one that was engaged in an active war with three of the most powerful alliances in the world yet she still was unconcerned. Nevertheless she had decided to undertake the lengthy journey to the nation of Taigawa to meet with the Empress to potentially secure Neyla's cooperation with her new government. With this in mind the blonde haired general stared out the window of the aircraft as it touched down in the capital of Taigawa. Once the plane landed Olivier and her entourage stepped out of the plane and were greeted by the sight of several tiger like creatures in a bipedal stance. To say this shocked the General somewhat would be an understatement but she nonetheless remained calm as one of her soldiers shouted "Introducing her excellency Primarch Olivier M. Armstrong, protector of Aravea and its realms."

"I am Princess Shi'era, High Fleet Admiral in the Imperial Navy and daughter of the late empress. She has been expecting your arrival at the White Tiger Palace for some time now.I suggest we move quickly while She is not occupied. There is a a Hovercar platform behind me. The driver has orders to take you to the Imperial Palace. The alternitives are either weaving through rush-hour traffic at ground level, or walking almost completely across the newer sections of the city to the historical city center. Her Imperial Majesty only cleared the Skyway."

Shall we go" While she awaited a response from the Princess Armstrong was sure to carefully scrutinize the Taigawan honor guards that surrounded her. To be truthful the looked to be highly skilled and each seemed to give off an aura that reminded her of her own troops back at Fort Briggs. Shaking her head she returned to awaiting the Princess' response.

"She has indeed. The C.Y.P.D have a route secure to the more secure inner gate of the palace. You will likely see more Honor Guard also; Mother has a small army of them with her in the Palace at all times." With that, the tigress and her guards escorted them into the armored hovercars, which were painted White and Gold, the colors that represented their royalty. The interiors were red leather, and what could be seen of the controls resembled a plane cockpit. Access to the interior was by a semi-transpant black dome that displayed what was ahead and to the sides so that the driver couls see where to go; all the readouts were in a language similar to a combonation of Japanese and Korean.

The convoy was escorted by a number of armored S.W.A.T team-like hover vehicles, C.Y.P.D Crusiers, and the Hoverbikes carrying more Honor Guard. As soon as everyone was inside, the convoy left the airport and began the journey to the Imperial Palace. The ride was uneventful, and after about 15 minutes of weaving through Futuristic, Post-Modern, and Ultra-Modern archologies and high-rises, they arrived at the historical section of the city, which still bore it's ancient fortifacations and architecture, with wood, stone and tile structures rising anywhere from two to eight stories high. Beyond that lay the outer moat and gardens of the palace, sorrounded by a stone-reveted rampart and a number of watch towers. Beyond that was the inner gardens, protected by another gate and similar fortifacations built on a terrace. Within that enclosure, stood the Imperial Palace, an imposing, seven-level ediface resembling Japan's Hemiji Castle.

Once there, they were told to exit the vehicle and were then escorted in the throne chamber where the Empress and her attendents were waiting.

As the General stepped into the hovercar she smirked slightly before saying "Well this is quite the interesting nation isn't it? To see a society that matches us in nearly every scientific and cultural field. Truly it is something to behold with one's eyes. However, I can't help but wonder about how the races of your society get along. Do they interact harmoniously like the ones of our society? Or is there a hierarchy?" The General looked the window once more to see the glittering spires of the Taigawan capital and was amazed by similar it was in style to the Aravean capital city of Oured with its gleaming crystal spires and archologies. However, what truly took her breath away was the sight of the White Tiger palace with its seemingly endless expanse of fortificatiosn and terraces.

Armstrong turned to the Princess once more and said " I must say your majesty that I am quite impressed by your capital. I would almost daresay that it rivals Pendragon and Oured in its opulence and advancemet. The palace of your empress is also quite the sight to behold. Nevertheless..." Armstrong was cut off as the vehicle suddenly landed within the vast structure. From there Armstrong and her men were escorted to the throne room wherein they were to be received by the Empress. Once there Armstrong and her men gave a curt bow and a salute to the Empress before Armstrong spoke "Your majesty, I am Major General Olivier Mira Armstrong of the Aravean Hegemony and its current leader. I must say that it is quite the honor to finally meet such a staunch ally of the Monarchist Federation and its members."

"My capital is older then even the nation she governs over." Neyla said as she rose from the Crystal Throne, a seat scupted from Platnum and set amongst a fan-like assembly of crystals, of many colors. She walked from the Throne on it's marble dais where a Mantle glyph lay scupted into the stone beneath her paws, banners of all the Kirran and anthro tribes to ever exist hanging from the pillars flanking the gold and white-trimmed carpet leading to the black marble dais. She wore a gold and white-trimmed robe that somewhat dragged behind her as she walked, a crown, made up of a network of platnum and colorful crystals fused togeather as if they were a natural construct.

The purple tigress got close enough to be an arms length away before she spoke again. "An honor to meat the one I so invoked the blessing of our highest deity and philosophy upon in my first address to you. I welcome you to the ancient halls of the White Tiger Palace, oldest continually inhabited residence in all of Taigawa." She said as she took out and old scroll and recited the Right of Mandate, the oath she had sworn to uphold after joining the alliance. The aged scroll read:

"In the year of our Lady the Creator of Thessia, 2165

In this document we of the Imperial Council of Cheng Yíån, capital of Taigawa since the fall of the Yulan Imperium in the Year of our Lady 1821, hereby swear to uphold the tenants of our new alliance with those who align themselves with the hallowed institutution of the Nobility. May the holder of this scrool be blessed in the eyes of the Creator and those of the alien gods."

"It is of great honor to meet you in hall that predate the founding of my dynasty by over 300 years."

Nevertheless she began to speak "Well your majesty again it is an honor to meet you within these noble halls. Granted I must say that it is a pleasure to be talking to a fellow royal but that is beside the point. Now let's get down to brass tacks shall we?" Following this Armstrong turned to a rather tall soldier concealed withi in a flowing green cloak. The creature's face was covered by some sort of metallic mask preventing any of the occupants in the room from getting a good look at him.

Armstrong cleared her throat and said to the soldier "Skurel fetch me the documents please." The previously cloaked soldier to whom Armstrong referred drew back his hood revealing a draconic visage which quickly grew into a look of affirmation. Quickly the draconic creature withdrew a tablet from within his cloak and handed it to Armstrong who said "Thank you Skurel. "That is good. The chambers of the Imperial Council are just off the hall. The Red and gold doors lead into the vaulted atrium above the chamer where the council hold their sessions There are stairs that lead down to the floor of that chamber. Follow me and I will lead you there, as by tradition only royalty may look down on the Imperial Council from above." And with that she led them past the heavy wooden doors, painted red and decorated with golden Chinese Dragons. The stairs led below the thick, reinforced glass floor of the atrium to the floor of the chamber, which was wood-paneled and decorated with gold, jade, Lapis Lazuli, and quartz, all inlaid into the Mahogany panels in the shapes of forested mountains, where stylized white tigers and dragons roamed. Relaxing oriental music played in the chamber, which was floored with polished marble with a round black granite table in the center. Around this sat the twelve members of the Imperial Council, Eight Kirran, an anthro vixen, an anthro panther, an Asari, and a Human.

"I hereby call the summit into session." the Empress issued in a commanding voice. Now the real discussion could begin.
