Imperial State of Japan
"New age of the Rising Sun"

Japan (Japanese: 日本 Nippon or Nihon; formally 日本国 Nippon-koku or Nihon-koku, " Imperial State of Japan") is an island nation in East Asia. Located in the Pacific Ocean, it lies to the east of the Sea of Japan, China, North Korea, South Korea and Russia, stretching from the Sea of Okhotsk in the north to the East China Sea and Taiwan in the south. The Kanji that make up Japan's name mean "sun origin", and Japan is often called "Land of the Rising Sun".

Japan is a stratovolcanic archipelago of 6,852 islands. The four largest are Honshu, Hokkaido, Kyushu, and Shikoku, which make up about ninety-seven percent of Japan's land area. Japan's population of 126 million is the world's tenth largest. The Greater Tokyo Area, which includes the de facto capital of Tokyo and several surrounding prefectures, is the world's largest metropolitan area, with over 30 million residents.

Archaeological research indicates that people lived in Japan as early as the Upper Paleolithic period. The first written mention of Japan is in Chinese history texts from the 1st century AD. Influence from other regions, mainly Imperial China, followed by periods of isolation, later from Western European influence, has characterized Japan's history. From the 12th century until 1868, Japan was ruled by successive feudal military shoguns in the name of the Emperor. Japan entered into a long period of isolation in the early 17th century, which was only ended in 1853 when a United States fleet pressured Japan to open to the West. Nearly two decades of internal conflict and insurrection followed before the Meiji Emperor was restored as head of state in 1868 and the Empire of Japan was proclaimed, with the Emperor as a divine symbol of the nation. In the late 19th and early 20th centuries, victories in the First Sino-Japanese War, the Russo-Japanese War and World War I allowed Japan to expand its empire during a period of increasing militarism. The Second Sino-Japanese War of 1937 expanded into part of World War II in 1941, which came to an end in 1945 following the atomic bombings of Hiroshima and Nagasaki. Since adopting its revised constitution in 1947, Japan has maintained a unitary constitutional monarchy with an emperor and an elected legislature called the National Diet.

Japan is a member of the UN, the G7, the G8, and the G20. A major economic and political power, Japan is a developed country and has the world's third-largest economy by nominal GDP and the world's fourth-largest economy by purchasing power parity. It is also the world's fifth-largest exporter and fifth-largest importer. Although Japan has officially renounced its right to declare war, it maintains a modern military with the world's eighth largest military budget, used for self-defense and peacekeeping roles. Japan ranks high in metrics of prosperity such as the Human Development Index, with the Japanese population enjoying the highest life expectancy of any country in the world and the infant mortality rate being the third lowest globally.

Tokyo, Japan

Tokyo, officially Tokyo Metropolis, is one of the 47 prefectures of Japan. Tokyo is the capital of Japan, the center of the Greater Tokyo Area, and the most populous metropolitan area in the world. It is the seat of the Emperor of Japan and the Japanese government. Tokyo is in the Kantō region on the southeastern side of the main island Honshu and includes the Izu Islands and Ogasawara Islands. Formerly known as Edo it has been the de facto seat of government since 1603 when Shogun Tokugawa Ieyasu made the city his headquarter but only became the capital and was renamed Tokyo after Emperor Meiji moved his seat to the city from the old capital of Kyoto in 1868. Tokyo Metropolis was formed in 1943 from the merger of the former Tokyo Prefecture (東京府 Tōkyō-fu?) and the city of Tokyo (東京市 Tōkyō-shi?).

Tokyo is often referred to and thought of as a city, but is officially known and governed as a "metropolitan prefecture", which differs from and combines elements of both a city and a prefecture; a characteristic unique to Tokyo. The Tokyo metropolitan government administers the 23 Special Wards of Tokyo (each governed as an individual city), which cover the area that was formerly the City of Tokyo before it merged and became the subsequent metropolitan prefecture in 1943. The metropolitan government also administers 39 municipalities in the western part of the prefecture and the two outlying island chains. The population of the special wards is over 9 million people, with the total population of the prefecture exceeding 13 million. The prefecture is part of the world's most populous metropolitan area with upwards of 37.8 million people and the world's largest urban agglomeration economy. The city hosts 51 of the Fortune Global 500 companies, the highest number of any city. The city is also home of various television networks like Fuji TV and the Tokyo Broadcasting System.

The city is considered an alpha+ world city—as listed by the GaWC's 2008 inventory and in 2014, Tokyo was ranked first in the "Best overall experience" category of TripAdvisor's World City Survey (the city also ranked first in the following categories: "Helpfulness of locals", "Nightlife", "Shopping", "Local public transportation" and "Cleanliness of streets"). In 2013, Tokyo was named the third most expensive city for expatriates, according to the Mercer consulting firm, and the world's most expensive city, according to the Economist Intelligence Unit's cost-of-living survey. In 2009 Tokyo was named the third Most Liveable City by the magazine Monocle. The Michelin Guide has awarded Tokyo by far the most Michelin stars of any city in the world.

Tokyo has numerous outlying islands, which extend as far as 1,850 km (1,150 mi) from central Tokyo. Because of the islands' distance from the administrative headquarters of the metropolitan government in Shinjuku, local offices administer them.

The Izu Islands are a group of volcanic islands and form part of the Fuji-Hakone-Izu National Park. The islands in order from closest to Tokyo are Izu Ōshima, Toshima, Nii-jima, Shikine-jima, Kōzu-shima, Miyake-jima, Mikurajima, Hachijō-jima, and Aogashima. The Izu Islands are grouped into three subprefectures. Izu Ōshima and Hachijojima are towns. The remaining islands are six villages, with Niijima and Shikinejima forming one village.

The Ogasawara Islands include, from north to south, Chichi-jima, Nishinoshima, Haha-jima, Kita Iwo Jima, Iwo Jima, and Minami Iwo Jima. Ogasawara also administers two tiny outlying islands: Minami Torishima, the easternmost point in Japan and at 1,850 km (1,150 mi) the most distant island from central Tokyo, and Okinotorishima, the southernmost point in Japan. The last island is contested by the People's Republic of China as being only uninhabited rocks. The Iwo chain and the outlying islands have no permanent population, but host Japanese Self-Defense Forces personnel. Local populations are only found on Chichi-jima and Haha-jima. The islands form both Ogasawara Subprefecture and the village of Ogasawara, Tokyo.

As of March 31, 2008, 36% of the total land area of the prefecture was designated as Natural Parks (second only to Shiga Prefecture), namely the Chichibu Tama Kai, Fuji-Hakone-Izu, and Ogasawara National Parks (the last a UNESCO World Heritage Site); Meiji no Mori Takao Quasi-National Park; and Akikawa Kyūryō, Hamura Kusabana Kyūryō, Sayama, Takao Jinba, Takiyama, and Tama Kyūryō Prefectural Natural Parks.

Ueno Park is well known for its museums: Tokyo National Museum, National Museum of Nature and Science, Shitamachi Museum and National Museum for Western Art, among others. There are also art works and statues at several places in the park. There is also a zoo in the park, and the park is a popular destination to view cherry blossoms.

Tokyo was hit by powerful earthquakes in 1703, 1782, 1812, 1855, 1923, and 2011. The 1923 earthquake, with an estimated magnitude of 8.3, killed 142,000 people. Tokyo is near the boundary of three plates.

The former city of Tokyo and the majority of mainland Tokyo lie in the humid subtropical climate zone (Köppen climate classification Cfa), with hot humid summers and generally mild winters with cool spells. The region, like much of Japan, experiences a one-month seasonal lag, with the warmest month being August, which averages 27.5 °C (81.5 °F), and the coolest month being January, averaging 6.0 °C (42.8 °F). The record low temperature is −9.2 °C (15.4 °F), and the record high is 39.5 °C (103.1 °F), though there was once an unofficial reading of 42.7 °C (108.9 °F) at the Primary School Station. Annual rainfall averages nearly 1,530 millimetres (60.2 in), with a wetter summer and a drier winter. Snowfall is sporadic, but does occur almost annually.[54] Tokyo also often sees typhoons each year, though few are strong. The last one to hit was Fitow in 2007, while the wettest month since records began in 1876 has been October 2004 with 780 millimetres (30 in) including 270.5 millimetres.

Tokyo has enacted a measure to cut greenhouse gases. Governor Shintaro Ishihara created Japan's first emissions cap system, aiming to reduce greenhouse gas emission by a total of 25% by 2020 from the 2000 level. Tokyo is an example of an urban heat island, and the phenomenon is especially serious in its special wards. According to the Tokyo Metropolitan Government, the annual mean temperature has increased by about 3 °C (5.4 °F) over the past 100 years. Tokyo has been cited as a "convincing example of the relationship between urban growth and climate."

In 2006, Tokyo enacted the "10 Year Project for Green Tokyo" to be realised by 2016. It set a goal of increasing roadside trees in Tokyo to 1 million (from 480,000), and adding 1,000 ha of green space 88 of which will be a new park named "Umi no Mori" (sea forest) which will be on a reclaimed island in Tokyo Bay which used to be a landfill. From 2007 to 2010 436 ha of the planned 1,000 ha of green space was created and 220,000 trees were planted bringing the total to 700,000. By 2014 road side trees in Tokyo will increase to 950,000 and a further 300 ha of green space will be added.

As of October 2012, the official intercensal estimate showed 13.22 million people in Tokyo with 8.996 million living within Tokyo's 23 wards. During the daytime, the population swells by over 2.5 million as workers and students commute from adjacent areas. This effect is even more pronounced in the three central wards of Chiyoda, Chūō, and Minato, whose collective population as of the 2005 National Census was 326,000 at night, but 2.4 million during the day.

The entire prefecture had 12,790,000 residents in October 2007 (8,653,000 in 23 wards), with an increase of over 3 million in the day. Tokyo is at its highest population ever, while that of the 23 wards peak official count was 8,893,094 in the 1965 Census, with the count dipping below 8 million in the 1995 Census. People continue to move back into the core city as land prices have fallen dramatically.[citation needed]

As of 2005, the most common foreign nationalities found in Tokyo are Chinese (123,661), Korean (106,697), Filipino (31,077), American (18,848), British (7,696), Brazilian (5,300) and French (3,000).

In 1889, the Ministry of Home Affairs recorded 1,375,937 people in Tokyo City and a total of 1,694,292 people in Tokyo-fu. In the same year, a total of 779 foreign nationals were recorded as residing in Tokyo. The most common nationality was British (209 residents), followed by United States nationals (182) and nationals of the Qing dynasty (137).

Tokyo has the largest metropolitan economy in the world. According to a study conducted by PricewaterhouseCoopers, the Tokyo urban area (35.2 million people) had a total GDP of US$1.91 trillion in 2012 (at purchasing power parity), which topped that list. 51 of the companies listed on the Global 500 are based in Tokyo, almost twice that of the second-placed city (Paris).

Tokyo is a major international finance center, houses the headquarters of several of the world's largest investment banks and insurance companies, and serves as a hub for Japan's transportation, publishing, electronics and broadcasting industries. During the centralised growth of Japan's economy following World War II, many large firms moved their headquarters from cities such as Osaka (the historical commercial capital) to Tokyo, in an attempt to take advantage of better access to the government. This trend has begun to slow due to ongoing population growth in Tokyo and the high cost of living there.

Tokyo was rated by the Economist Intelligence Unit as the most expensive (highest cost-of-living) city in the world for 14 years in a row ending in 2006. This analysis is for living a corporate executive lifestyle, with items like a detached house and several automobiles.[citation needed]

Tokyo has been described as one of the three "command centers" for the world economy, along with New York City and London. The Tokyo Stock Exchange is Japan's largest stock exchange, and third largest in the world by market capitalization and fourth largest by share turnover. In 1990 at the end of the Japanese asset price bubble, it accounted for more than 60% of the world stock market value. Tokyo had 8,460 ha (20,900 acres) of agricultural land as of 2003,[80] according to the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries, placing it last among the nation's prefectures. The farmland is concentrated in Western Tokyo. Perishables such as vegetables, fruits, and flowers can be conveniently shipped to the markets in the eastern part of the prefecture. Komatsuna and spinach are the most important vegetables; as of 2000, Tokyo supplied 32.5% of the komatsuna sold at its central produce market.

With 36% of its area covered by forest, Tokyo has extensive growths of cryptomeria and Japanese cypress, especially in the mountainous western communities of Akiruno, Ōme, Okutama, Hachiōji, Hinode, and Hinohara. Decreases in the price of timber, increases in the cost of production, and advancing old age among the forestry population have resulted in a decline in Tokyo's output. In addition, pollen, especially from cryptomeria, is a major allergen for the nearby population centers. Tokyo Bay was once a major source of fish.[citation needed] Currently, most of Tokyo's fish production comes from the outer islands, such as Izu Ōshima and Hachijōjima. Skipjack tuna, nori, and aji are among the ocean products.[citation needed]

Tourism in Tokyo is also a contributor to the economy. In 2006, 4.81 million foreigners and 420 million Japanese visits to Tokyo were made; the economic value of these visits totaled 9.4 trillion yen according to the government of Tokyo. Many tourists visit the various downtowns, stores, and entertainment districts throughout the neighbourhoods of the special wards of Tokyo; particularly school children on class trips, a visit to Tokyo Tower is de rigueur. Cultural offerings include both omnipresent Japanese pop culture and associated districts such as Shibuya and Harajuku, subcultural attractions such as Studio Ghibli anime center, as well as museums like the Tokyo National Museum, which houses 37% of the country's artwork national treasures (87/233).

The Tsukiji Fish Market in central Tokyo is the biggest wholesale fish and seafood market in the world and also one of the largest wholesale food markets of any kind. The Tsukiji market holds strong to the traditions of its predecessor, the Nihombashi fish market, and serves some 50,000 buyers and sellers every day. Retailers, whole-sellers, auctioneers, and public citizens alike frequent the market, creating a unique microcosm of organized chaos that still continues to fuel the city and its food supply after over four centuries.

Tokyo, as the center of the Greater Tokyo Area, is Japan's largest domestic and international hub for rail, ground, and air transportation. Public transportation within Tokyo is dominated by an extensive network of clean and efficient trains and subways run by a variety of operators, with buses, monorails and trams playing a secondary feeder role.

Within Ōta, one of the 23 special wards, Haneda Airport offers domestic and international flights. Outside Tokyo, Narita International Airport, in Chiba Prefecture, is the major gateway for international travelers to Japan. Japan's flag carrier Japan Airlines, as well as All Nippon Airways, Delta Air Lines, and United Airlines all have a hub at this airport.

Various islands governed by Tokyo have their own airports. Hachijō-jima (Hachijojima Airport), Miyakejima (Miyakejima Airport), and Izu Ōshima (Oshima Airport) have services to Tokyo International and other airports.

Rail is the primary mode of transportation in Tokyo, which has the most extensive urban railway network in the world and an equally extensive network of surface lines. JR East operates Tokyo's largest railway network, including the Yamanote Line loop that circles the center of downtown Tokyo. Two different organisations operate the subway network: the private Tokyo Metro and the governmental Tokyo Metropolitan Bureau of Transportation. The metropolitan government and private carriers operate bus routes and one tram route. Local, regional, and national services are available, with major terminals at the giant railroad stations, including Tokyo, Shinagawa, and Shinjuku.

Expressways link the capital to other points in the Greater Tokyo area, the Kantō region, and the islands of Kyushu and Shikoku. In order to build them quickly before the 1964 Summer Olympics, most were constructed above existing roads. Other transportation includes taxis operating in the special wards and the cities and towns. Also long-distance ferries serve the islands of Tokyo and carry passengers and cargo to domestic and foreign ports.

Tokyo has many universities, junior colleges, and vocational schools. Many of Japan's most prestigious universities are in Tokyo, including University of Tokyo, Hitotsubashi University, Tokyo Institute of Technology, Waseda University, and Keio University.[84] Some of the biggest national universities in Tokyo are:

Hitotsubashi University
National Graduate Institute for Policy Studies
Ochanomizu University
Tokyo Gakugei University
Tokyo Institute of Technology
Tokyo Medical and Dental University
Tokyo University of Agriculture and Technology
Tokyo University of Foreign Studies
Tokyo University of Marine Science and Technology
Tokyo University of the Arts
University of Electro-Communications
University of Tokyo
There is only one non-national public university: Tokyo Metropolitan University.

There are also a few universities well known for classes conducted in English and for the teaching of the Japanese language. They include:

Globis University Graduate School of Management
International Christian University
Sophia University
Waseda University

Tokyo is also the headquarters of the United Nations University.

Publicly run kindergartens, elementary schools (years 1 through 6), and Primary schools (7 through 9) are operated by local wards or municipal offices. Public Secondary schools in Tokyo are run by the Tokyo Metropolitan Government Board of Education and are called "Metropolitan High Schools". Tokyo also has many private schools from kindergarten through high school.

Tokyo has many museums. In Ueno Park, there is the Tokyo National Museum, the country's largest museum and specializing in traditional Japanese art; the National Museum of Western Art and Ueno Zoo. Other museums include the National Museum of Emerging Science and Innovation in Odaiba; the Edo-Tokyo Museum in Sumida, across the Sumida River from the center of Tokyo; the Nezu Museum in Aoyama; and the National Diet Library, National Archives, and the National Museum of Modern Art, which are near the Imperial Palace.

Tokyo has many theatres for performing arts. These include national and private theatres for traditional forms of Japanese drama. Noteworthy are the National Noh Theatre for noh and the Kabuki-za for kabuki. Symphony orchestras and other musical organisations perform modern and traditional music. Tokyo also hosts modern Japanese and international pop and rock music at venues ranging in size from intimate clubs to internationally known arenas such as the Nippon Budokan.

Many different festivals occur throughout Tokyo. Major events include the Sannō at Hie Shrine, the Sanja at Asakusa Shrine, and the biennial Kanda Festivals. The last features a parade with elaborately decorated floats and thousands of people. Annually on the last Saturday of July, an enormous fireworks display over the Sumida River attracts over a million viewers. Once cherry blossoms bloom in spring, many residents gather in Ueno Park, Inokashira Park, and the Shinjuku Gyoen National Garden for picnics under the blossoms.

Harajuku, a neighbourhood in Shibuya, is known internationally for its youth style, fashion and cosplay.

Cuisine in Tokyo is internationally acclaimed. In November 2007, Michelin released their first guide for fine dining in Tokyo, awarding 191 stars in total, or about twice as many as Tokyo's nearest competitor, Paris. Eight establishments were awarded the maximum of three stars (Paris has 10), 25 received two stars, and 117 earned one star. Of the eight top-rated restaurants, three offer traditional Japanese fine dining, two are sushi houses and three serve French cuisine.

Tokyo, with a diverse array of sports, is home to two professional baseball clubs, the Yomiuri Giants who play at the Tokyo Dome and Tokyo Yakult Swallows at Meiji-Jingu Stadium. The Japan Sumo Association is also headquartered in Tokyo at the Ryōgoku Kokugikan sumo arena where three official sumo tournaments are held annually (in January, May, and September). Football clubs in Tokyo include F.C. Tokyo and Tokyo Verdy 1969, both of which play at Ajinomoto Stadium in Chōfu.

Tokyo hosted the 1964 Summer Olympics. The National Stadium, also known as the Olympic Stadium is host to a number of international sporting events. With a number of world-class sports venues, Tokyo often hosts national and international sporting events such as tennis tournaments, swim meets, marathons, rugby union and sevens rugby games, football, American football exhibition games, judo, and karate. Tokyo Metropolitan Gymnasium, in Sendagaya, Shibuya, is a large sports complex that includes swimming pools, training rooms, and a large indoor arena. According to Around the Rings, the gymnasium has played host to the October 2011 artistic gymnastics world championships, despite the International Gymnastics Federation's initial doubt in Tokyo's ability to host the championships following the March 11 tsunami. Tokyo was selected to host the 2020 Summer Olympics on September 7, 2013.

As the largest population center in Japan and the site of the country's largest broadcasters and studios, Tokyo is frequently the setting for many Japanese movies, television shows, animated series (anime), web comics, and comic books (manga). In the kaiju (monster movie) genre, landmarks of Tokyo are routinely destroyed by giant monsters such as Godzilla and Gamera.

Some Hollywood directors have turned to Tokyo as a backdrop for movies set in Tokyo. Well-known postwar examples include Tokyo Joe, My Geisha, Tokyo Story and the James Bond film You Only Live Twice; well-known recent examples include Kill Bill, The Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift, Lost in Translation, Babel, and Inception.

Architecture in Tokyo has largely been shaped by Tokyo's history. Twice in recent history has the metropolis been left in ruins: first in the 1923 Great Kantō earthquake and later after extensive firebombing in World War II. Because of this, Tokyo's urban landscape consists mainly of modern and contemporary architecture, and older buildings are scarce. Tokyo features many internationally famous forms of modern architecture including Tokyo International Forum, Asahi Beer Hall, Mode Gakuen Cocoon Tower, NTT Docomo Yoyogi Building and Rainbow Bridge. Tokyo also features two distinctive towers: Tokyo Tower and the new Tokyo Skytree which is the tallest tower in Japan and the second tallest structure in the world after the Burj Khalifa in Dubai.

Tokyo also contains numerous parks and gardens. There are four national parks in Tokyo Prefecture, including the Fuji-Hakone-Izu National Park, which includes all of the Izu Islands.

Tokyo is the founder member of the Asian Network of Major Cities 21 and is a member of the Council of Local Authorities for International Relations. Tokyo was also a founding member of the C40 Cities Climate Leadership Group.

January, 6th, 2020
11:40 AM

It was June, 18th, 1970... The Unites States officially enters civil war as fractions of power all aim for there all goals in claiming a title of superpower not knowing that the same thing they wished to protect was already gone the moment they left the union. A nation of unity and vast power had failed to solve the issues that threatened it and like so many other nations it had fallen into a hole of despair that no person could of predicted would happen but in the end it did. The fall of the US signalled a new era of mankind as states that once held such high status fell into destruction but for us are fine tale begins in a country no person would really care about back then... Saudi Arabia....

Saudi Arabia had always acted tough and had always tried to stand even when the world help it back in the sands it was founded on. The fall of the US came as a shock not just to Saudi Arabia but to other US allies in the region such as Iran and Israel both of which had been close friends or the former great nation who had followed orders from Washington like dedicated soldiers to a cause although you could say those days were over now given no one was around to protect them from threats or give them vast weapons to use for there fun. A region as hostile as the middle east always needed that great power there to leave it in check but without such power the nations realized that they were all alone and Saudi Arabia would not lose out to the hands of enemies even if it means betraying all they held dear.

1970 - 1978 was a few years of reform in Saudi Arabia who had to live without the US as there big brother in a sense who had been there to protect them from harm. A few days after the US fall Saudi Arabia was quiet like many had been but the first thing to happen out of the government was a little weird to say seeing as how a superpower dell you would expect some big news but instead the first thing after the great fall was the announcement of the construction of a new country wide highway system largely modelled after the Canadian system along with a rail project that followed the same road as the highway that was planned. The system would connect the major and smaller cities while villages would get improved roadways so that they may easily link to the highway as the rail followed the same plan as played out before. The whole thing was over 2500 KM long and the total cost for both combined was around 460 Billion dollars or a shit ton of money for the government to throw out plus the fact they seemed to ignore what had just happened to the world and moved on to other things that no one ever even thought about like some stupid highway of stupidity that had no real worth to it..... But the thing was it did had a lesser known purpose so to say....

Europe was in chaos after the fall as the Euro nations formerly part of NATO tried to scramble in hopes of finding safety from the new only superpower of the Soviet Union who right after the fall cut of precious oil supplies to western Europe crippling there nations under a sea of black. The nations of Western Europe would suffer a fate like America if nothing had happened soon! Then came Saudi Arabia... a little nation that was happy to give oil for a few small favors here and there given the situation such a then down could not happen.... throw in some money to the right people and you have Europe on a leash for you to do as you want.

The deal which would be one of many black papers was a deal between the government of Saudi Arabia and the nations of Europe in which the Saudi government would supply the nations the oil they needed so long as the played for the new highway and rail cost after which they would have to pay for any other amount. A deal such as this was stupid and would coat Europe more then needed to survive but once our throw some money in it things start to get overlooked even as your nation runs out of the resource and Arabia is hour last hope so to say.

The deal was signed on June 26th to much upset to the Europeans but not to Saudi Arabia who would soon realize that having such large amounts of oil could come in handy for persuading a nations government into helping them. The highway was a military one... the point of it's building was simply a way of better preparing for a invasion as a way of access for troops to reach all over the country easily and fast given Iraq was now left with no fears as to cross and invade.

1970 was a silent year minus the deal and transportation mostly because nations were trying yo save money for the impending financial crisis on the horizon which had hit many hard including the middle eastern area where such wealth was all but gone at the start. 1971 brought the full crisis to effect along with the expected civil unrest leaving another slow year of little change or projects intact there were almost none as the government tried to wait it out and hope to survive.

-nothing really changes from are timeline up to the Iranian revolution minus a few small thing so I'm skipping to then-

When the Iranian revolution hit Saudi Arabia was just coming out of 8 years in isolation and little development as the economy started to improve again. The national Highway and Rail system were on safe track and the country enjoyed a era of prosperity in a sense but when Iran fell to a new low all things were finally at the peak that was expected as Iran who had helped Saudi Arabia get through this together as friends was lost to the hands of crazed men and Saudi Arabia could do nothing about it but watch. A military intervention was to risky and financial help was limited but in the end the person called a friend was lost... The Iranian revolution gave three things to Saudi Arabia starting with fear in that we are alone, want in more power and the revelation that at any moment the life we once had could end with the people we swore to protect.

There were fears that the eastern regions who had generally supported the new government could rise up against the nation but other then a bit of unrest nothing happened luckily although it did pain the picture for the next two years as the country looked to get out of isolation without losing all they had worked for over the years starting with the Halifax agreement... A deal that promised Canada and western Europe access to Saudi territory for military reasons so long as they got a discount on military gear and supplies which by now was seen as needed given the military was under armed and not ready to fight a war. Saudi Arabia replaced Iran as the guy who got the new toys first so long as they got there future bases but this period of arming would last well into 1985 until things slowed down again for the better I guess.

The other thing to come over the two years was the continued development of the HDI in the country as the government hoped the could get some support stating by promising the creation of a free healthcare system model based of the UK and the promise of free education up to the high school level of course these were Long term but they super promised to do it! You can tell that his took a while to actually happen.... 1987 to be exact....

Sadly such amazing things were not enough and 1979 was dominated by Saudi attempts to crush insurgencies in the southern part of the country with support from other allies. The little conflict lasted from February to December 1979 and dealt mainly with counter-terrorism and peace keeping as a offshoot of the Iranian rebels attempted to overthrow or separate from the central government although sadly for them such things were not gonna happen seeing as how they had like no major weapons and such relying on scare tactics to try and win!

They didn't last long....,.

During the 1980's the lessons learned from the past two years would shape how Saudi Arabia would deal with things first starting the year by increasing aims at welfare and social spending both of which increased by two percent and the start of Saudi Funding to Iraq during the Iran-Iran war given the nation saw Iran as the bigger threat at the time. The 1980's were slow as Saudi Arabia aimed to improve itself with the precious reforms promised using them as a way of branching out to other idea's such as the opening of private education classes in the high school and upper levels which allowed foreign groups to come in and open up programs to the kingdom along with the continued press for modern hospitals with over 12 opening up in the decade across the country for peoples uses.

The last major thing to happen in the slow decade was the Saudi attempt to diverse the economy by trying to open up industrial and technological areas of development of course in the decade this saw little and the project by 1989 was a faliure by all accounts.

-Time skipping to the Iraqi invasion of Kuwait as my history does not change other then those few things-

When Iraq invaded Kuwait new fears were soon realized as the long time knowing that giving Iraq money would come back at us when they got power hungry and such with the whole all your oil belongs to us thing. The Saudi government pushed for intervention but sadly no one was up for it and the Arab allies alone could not pull it off leaving Kuwait all alone in the end though the Saudi government did fund the freedom movements that popped up.

The 1990's dealt with three things... The increase in social development, The Saudi civil rights movement and the countries attempts to get through in a world with no superpower when the soviets fell. The military also got some more things by real development would only begin in 1999.

First was the continues social development as the government announced further creation of schools and hospitals as to try and keep up with the rest of the world along with programs to help people find jobs such as the partnership program aimed at Irvin students in high school no matter the gender a chance to work in a environment and train hands on or the creation of a fair minimum wage of (Using USD) 10.40$/Hour all of these were further attempts to keep on top and though expensive they had there worth in the long run so to say.

Second was the Saudi civil rights movement that lasted all throughout the nineties starting In 1991 when a group of woman went on hunger strike in the streets of Mecca as a way of protesting the unfair treatment in the country although these woman were foreign they were soon joined by locals who also wished reform in the nation. Other such incidents happened around the country and in large numbers only made worse by UN resolution calling on the country to reform. The pressure of daily protests and marches for reform by 1994 coupled with the fact the UN was now here gave rise to new reforms allowing woman the right to vote and run in elections, Allowing woman to actually go ahead and drive plus ditching that whole male-master thing going on all of which made many older males in the nation mad! But screw them because them protesters stopped paying taxes!

The third big thing of the nineties was the Saudi attempts to brain power after the Soviets fell starting with the same thing they did to western Europe mainly with Russia who was seen as a prime partner to have mainly in military and industrial areas. The 1996 agreement allowed Russian companies to open up factories on Saudi territory so long as they employed locals and played a small tax which was so please enough but again more so Saudi Arabia wanted military gear and the first of such deals happened in 1999 when the two nations signed a agreement for up to 840 T-90 tanks (including add ons of Kontakt, Nakidka, Shtora, ETM-7) as requested by the national guard forces, a medium Surface to Air missile system (later to be Pantsir system) with up to 45 launch vehicles (only 30 right now), a new and more powerful S-300 variant (12 launchers in service of the VM and the Saudi 350/400 system has up to 45 launches max) and 42 BMPT terminator systems also for the national guard. The whole deal cost around 11 billion dollars and was meant to fill in national guard and am defense needs at least until the 2000's shopping spree.

Further development in the nineties also happened between the gulf states who aimed at increasing further relations with each other starting with the Gulf free trade zone established in 1997 as a way of opening up the nations markets with each other, These further developments were based on the fear of Iran who many believe was aimed at nuclear arming so much so that Saudi Arabia considered it's own nuclear program that never happened.

The 1990's were dominated by these three things and by the time 2000 came around things only looked worse...

The 2000's brought many tragedies and losses with the world sent over by the 2001 recession many believed that all we had worked for would be lost but to shorten history a little a few important things happened in th 200's including:

- The 2001 Naval modernization program saw the co plate upgrade of the Saudi navy as a way of countering the growing threat of Iranian forces. The deal included 16 7000 ton "Mini-Burkes" to be split to both fleets and while smaller then the US designs were still capable of providing major firepower to the navy, six German type 216 subs ordered with a number of patrol boats, 68 NH90 helicopters and up to 850 Leopard 2A5 tanks (upgrading to 2A7) to be split to each fleet, 24 1100 on corvettes based on Turkish design and bought in exchange for nuclear knowledge in turn taken from Pakistan with again the ships split and armed for multi-role duties, a number of smaller patrol boats and support vessels were also purchased most of them being limited and inshore minus 3 Berlin class supply ships bought from Germany for limited projection power. Lastly was the upgrade of naval bases to modern standard all of this valued at around 40 billion dollars played over 10 years.

- German purchase was mentioned above although the deal payment is unknown many speculate it was for much needed oil during the 2008 crash when many in Europe ran out in a desperate attempt to secure a bit of it from Arabia.

- Upgrade to purchased surplus E2 (3), and C-17 (6) aircraft. E2 aircraft were bought in secret from US stocks in 1989 but only brought into service after upgrades in 2000... C-17 were delivered in the late 90's but entered service in 2002)

- Upgrade of M113 with new ectric systems, digital systems, smoke launchers and turrets of the bradly, V-150, Scorpion or BMP-3 along with a number of mortars, missiles or guns costing around 800 million

- Modificationof older C-130 to Electric warfare versions (3), command and control posts thanks to the erieye system (4) and search and rescue (1)

- Creation of a joint military command and the creation of a joint training plan.

- Corvettes were bought in a trade with turkey for nuclear secrets and access to saudi land to counter Iran both of which acted as a major payment of 75%

- Purchase of things such as armoured bridge layers and auxiliary versions of the M1A2 and Leopord 2 tanks for land forces along with hundreds of logistical vehicles ranging in size and such from 2000 - 2008

- The purchase of Russian helicopters after the faliure to acquire further NH90 copters this included up to 155 MI-17 and 65 MI-35 helicopters (Both severly upgraded with modern electronics and such) along with the purchase of Iskander, Versa and Tornado artillery systems valued at 6 billion dollars and payed for partially by money and with money from the Russian government to fund there arms industry during the 2008 crash. Numbers are unknown but expected to be only half as claimed at most

- purchase of 18 Chinook helicopters and up to 35 more Blackhawks (compared to the 30 IRL) in 2000 leaving total Blackhawks at around 90 - 110 but after the 2006 60 billion dollar arms deal this number was left unknown

- The Saudi Arabian armed forces stopped purchases of APC/IFV in 2006 instead turning to Saudi vehicles to fill needs and promote jobs in the economy with purchases remaining under the table as Saudi makes dozens of military products along wit it's gulf allies.

- Purchase of 45 more typhoon jets and around 35 Lynx helicopters while artillery pieces came under tech transfer as with done in singapore from the UK valued at 4 billion giving the country up to 114 typhoons and 35 lynx for coast and ship operations.

- The opening of that whole 2500 KM transport system that took 30 years to do... good job Europe you guys really helped...

- After the Arab springs a number of things changed including further money into housing construction, The freeing up of education to include more studies on useful skills and not on Islam, the continued expansion on social development to include woman and disabled in the many programs and minimum wage, The allowing vote on regional elections both male and female while allowing woman to run for positions limitedly and the mass cut back on military funding while releasing the many black deal reports.

- 8% of the population. is under the poverty line, 12 percent of people are unemployed, 2% are without homes and clean water, literacy rate is at average 91% which is still a top percent in the world suprisingly.

- Mass amounts of terrorist activity in the country similar to the situation in Pakistan while further religious conflict in the east grows and grows. Human rights still sucks, poverty stuff ain't changing a lot but that is expected right now, Mass anti-government beliefs, Military is still to large for people despite a major cut, Infrastructure is still a problem.

- mass civil unrest is will a problem, while the roads, water, education and health are decent and comparable to some western standards things like education are still massively religion based and isolated parts of the country suffer from lack of good health services, water and education while cities have more western standards. Crime is still a problem.

- 2014 to 2020 were slow tears that were spent finishing projects instead of making them although in 2015 the Saudi armed forces purchase the Foudre from from along with one of the missiles destened to Russia equipped with French weaponry along with 30 mm cannons for self defense from naval targets if the small missile systems fail.

Further development of human life expanded with the highways completion and because of the expanding economy in the consumer and medical industry and technology and social development that has taken off 12 percent from the oil company's while Arabia remains the main controller of the oil industry.

The Average income in Saudi Arabia over the past 6 years has increased by over 10 percent in major areas while in others it remains low of course with the new laws on religion and school along with the freeing of elementary education given the fact that modern schools using modern technology are popping up the average income and development is set to increase.

Healthcare remained to expand with new hospitals opening up like usual and while this number has increased areas do suffer from lack of proper staffing and often have to improvise.

Things like tourism are small and such but the growing tech scene hopes to change this soon.

Back to military where the Saudi missile forces have expanded to include Pakistani and Chinese missiles but while still less then others it provides a major strategic force for Saudi Arabia to strike.

-opening of 18 new nuclear reactors.

These events are what lead us to here where we all hope to Stand as one nation united in a common goal of peace but history tells us that such things are impossible and as the new year starts the government of Saudi Arabia remains quiet with nothing but a happy New Years to signal the start but as a new year begins the Arab states must realize that the only thing that is killing them is there lack of unity in one another and there lack of trust in the odd ones.

Saudi-Yemeni Border
January 6th, 2016
1:15 PM

We didn't know what to expect out of the Yemeni forces in all honesty.... There government had just been overthrown by some sort of Pro-Iranian rebels when we were ordered to head to the border area of course given the situation it was understandable why so much assets were being moved down to a country no one had Cared about till now. I remember the trip from my station in the capital down all the way to the southern half of the country as if it was yesterday as me and a group of four others sat in the humvee as we drove down the stretching highway road in a convoy if even more Humvees all lined up in a neat line.

My name is Malik.. That is all you need to know for now along with the fact I am a member of the Saudi Royal Army originally stationed just out of Mecca until now when I was moved own to the border with Yemen without my teammates I grew to love and trust with my life. A faint sound of gun shots signalled are arrival as the ringing in my ears stopped and we began to exit the highway from re silent four hour trip that had done nothing but make my legs fall asleep. I was in the car with men I did not know or should I say I'd not care to know as I gripped the G3 assault rifle in my hand as a sort of mental note that we were heading next to a war zone all in the name of a job we knew nothing about other then we were going.

The convoy took a turn off the highway just at the borderline between the two countries as we began to see that this was more then a simple guard job.... There had to be at least 800 men here all soldiers like me asked to come down here for guarding purposes and in the name of are great king who in my opinion is a wonderful man. The border looked more like a warline as M113 and LAVIII vehicles stood silently facing the tiny country of Yemen where the sound of explosions and rising smoke signalled the continuing struggle for stability even as these vehicles with some meant for transport and ones armed with 30, 90 or even 105 MM guns not including a few mortar carriers posed ready for what seemed like a invasion.

The sound of UH-60 and NH90 helicopters filled the sky as I counted four of each all carrying men or equipment and should I add that ping back to the vehicles there were at least 18 of each from what I could see as I stepped out of my humvee quicly getting my G3 assalt rifle which while my own was one of any rifles availble now wondering what he fuck was going on down here as we were told to get ready by one of the wandering officers. The national guard was here as you could tell by the three T-90 tanks sitting in the sand all pointing there guns towards the border along with six M1A2 all doing the same. I walked around with my gun in hand only told to wait for further orders as I began to wonder what was going on and why they needed me who was nothing more then a 23 year old university dropout to come.

The site of two AH-64E helicopters circling overhead gave me a grim reminder that I was here to kill and that at any moment we could be under attack from a threat we did not expect to be fighting overall I knew what was here and I knew more was on the war as I saw more Humvees pull up with men just like me. Some moments later I jumped as one of are FH70 artillery pieces fired into the air and over the border soon followed by around four others as they did what we like to call "border protection".... I saw the smoke from the shells hitting a nearby village all in the name of Saudi security or some shit like that all while the next convoy of 15 M2 Badleys rolled off the highway and down here with the rest of us.

We were told to relax but I could not given I may be thrown into a war with a army of terrorists and such bui guess i had no choice even as i waited to see what else would come be them saudi or not it makes you think of how low we have gotten and how much we would have to lose if we are to realize are mistake aattempt to fix them.....I guess only time will tell.. This is Malik signing off for now i guess at least until it gets interesting...

Stockholm, Sweden, Scandinavia
The Scandinavian Confederation, a Nazi federation of Scandinavian states formed after the Scandinavian Revolution, has started a programme to teach the white Scandinavians about white supremacy. This will advance racism in Scandinavia.

Jokkmokk, Sweden, Scandinavia
The Sami people in Jokkmokk were forced by the Scandinavian police to evacuate from the town to the forest, or else get killed. Samis agreed after a police officer held a Sami child and pointed a SIG P226 at the child's head.

After fall of EU nations had hard time with economy. Balkan Union forms EEM or European Economical Movement to try improve countries economy. First ever constitution meeting was held in Bern. Nations of Scandinavia, Ukraine and German-Austrian Commonwealth were invited to join.

Constitution Meeting
This is some parts of meeting held in Bern.
President of Balkan Union Vladimir Andjelkovic-Good evening people. Now as you heard from Italian president, EEM will be very important for European nations because economical situations have gone worse after fall of EU in 2018. Our plan is to help nations, we will not share same currency as EU but since we are one of nations with good economy we wish to help others...

January 1 2020
It is a new year the Revolutionary European Action members are celebrating the start of 2020. Direct democracy has been practised in Catalonia for two years now. It was not easy but the people are satisfied with the new method that has been practised. More and more people from all over Europe have been joining the REA. The prominent bases of REA include its HQ in Barcelona and in London,Dublin,Paris,Rome,Athens and in Berlin. Thise are e illegal bases that have not yet been touched by the enemy. The legal bases are those in Havana,Moscow and Chiapas. However the organisation's fate looks unclear. Madrid is a difficult goal to achieve. As for the rest of the Iberian peninsula...
Barcelona is full of life and light for New Year's Day. The black and red flags are prominent in all the walls including mottos in favour of REA. Positive messages have arrived from Chiapas and Havana for the continuation of such an admirable premise. People are celebrating now but they know that starting from tommorow they must work to capture Madrid and the rest of Spain and Portugal. The Spanish Army has been stationed across the borders of the newly formed Catalonia nation. It is extremely organised while REA is a guerilla army that benefitted from the people's support in Catalonia. The founders of REA know all this but they have decided to celebrate for the remainig day. And who knows? Maybe 2020 will see REA occupying and liberating Iberia.

Cameron stood before the House of Commons, a few sheets of paper with a speech upon it. He took a glass of water from the side and drank it with shaking hands before speaking "Gentlemen of your elected constituencies, I must say when we left the EU the world laughed at us and gave us but a few months before we collapsed beneath our own weight. But have we?" he asked, pausing for effect "Today the world lies close to the flame, any action that can be made directly affects how close we will come to catching a flame or staying unburnt, but the peace we experienced during the Empire can never be returned to and we must make do with the situation that lays before us." His eyes darted around the room, staring at each individual MPs face with each one engrossed in what he was saying "In Barcelona is the Revolutionary Europe Action, or REA, claims superiority over the Catalonia region and whether it intends to spread its influence to Gibraltar and Portugal. Obviously the regions of Gibraltar are thoroughly British so any attempt for them to take them shall be met with an appropriate amount of force. As for Portugal, our alliance of 1373 still stands and I intend to honour that alliance and I offer Andorra the same guaranteed protection. Sadly this group of leaderless scum have a base here in our own city of London!" He said with enthusiasm and listened to the boos of the crowd "I will let you know I will NEVER allow this group to prosper and decay our political structure from within and descend our nation into chaos. We have tracked every REA member inside the UK and by order of The Treason Felony Act 1848 are hereby arrested and the group banned from this nation!" He shouted, listening to the thunderous applause of the House.

All round the country, houses were broken into and civilians seized due to their connection to the REA and the Party London Base burnt to the ground.

On the border of Nepal
A small division of the army was training on the mountains of the Himalayas, preparing for another war against China. The war would not be soon however, as this training was for if China attacks like they did in the Kashmir conflict of 2018. This small division faced the most extreme of conditions, as they would occasionally try to scale the mountains in the shortest amounts of time possible. They were trained to fight in cold weather since they train in the more elevated parts of the range. They were taught how to defend against any soldiers trying to scale the mountains, and were also taught how to create an avalanche to halt the enemy's march. They were called the "Mountaineers", and their involvement in any future wars in the mountain would prove to be much needed.
New Delhi, India
"We need allies if we are to become the dominant Asian power," said Mohammed. "I also agree, but who would help us? Our reputation has been somewhat tarnished during our war with Pakistan and China," said the Pranab. "Well we could try to at least get Japan or the Southeast Asian Federation on our side. They would prove invaluable to us since they could both prove a formidable enemy to China," said Narendra. Pranab contemplated the situation for a while, as the room was dead silent. He finally began to speak, saying,"Very well, we shall send an ambassador to both those countries." And with that, they all exited the room, ending the meeting.

"2020 started with a defeat for the revolution. Thousands of comrades were arrested by the United Kingdom of the British Isles and our offices there were destroyed. However fellow fighters, sisters and brothers this is just a flame. We are the fire! From tonight we will take Madrid! We will take Lisbon! There is no king for us! No queen! The fascists in London cannot destroy all of us! We are many! Just as we speak, revolutionary actions are commited across Spain. Once we take Madrid we will achieve one of our goals. Now I speak to our sisters and brothers in London. Your sacrifice is great. There is nothing we can do. But you are heroes! Great revolutionaries just like the great Che!
King of England! Your actions show your true nature! Your authoritarian actions show the world your face! Cuba and EZLN have shown us their support! Comrades,Freedom Fighters we are not alone! I repeat we are not alone!
Another matter worthy of being mentioned is the creation of EEM by the Balkan Union and particularly the participation of the Skandinavian Union a nationalist nation. Every nation showing signs of nationalism is an enemy. We will not yet make any moves as our goals lie elsewhere.
Balkan Union now we address your nation. We deeply admire how you managed to unite so diverse countries. Your position as a leading force in Europe has shown. We wish to be recognised as a nation and not as a terrorist group by you. We do not wish to be enemies as you,we believe, can change the face of Europe like we wish. Let's start negotiations.
Finally starting from today, the Catalonia Liberation Army is created made of volunteers. Comrades we are united. We are free.
Sisters and brothers,comrades:
Viva la Revolucion,Viva la REA!"
Georges Guevara sighed. "This is the beginning".

Cameron reclined as he listened to the radio broadcast of the REA speech, finding it comical how they truly see themselves as a force to be reckoned with, however he perked up at the mention of taking Lisbon which would bring the UK into intervening due to the 1379 alliance and upholding the alliance till his final breath. The telephone next to him began to ring, prompting him to pick it up "Prime Minister, the prisons are over filled with the Anarchist prisoners, there is barely enough room to fit them all in" came the panicked voice
"Are we obligated to uphold the suspension of the Death Penalty?" he asked, searching his books
"No Prime Minister"
"Then you know what to do" he said chillingly "Record one of the hangings and send it to this 'Georges Guevara'" he added, hanging up. He leant forwards as he studied the map before him, the city of Gibraltar was one of the most important regions for him to hold as it enabled the British to gain access to the Mediterranean Sea thus cutting off valuable trade. He quickly phoned the Admiral of the Fleet, Sir Harold Scottow.
"Hello?" Came the crackly voice of the Admiral
"Admiral, I need you to reinforce Gibraltar with not only your ships but with a large contingent of Royal Marines, they will prove most valuable in keeping hold of it." he ordered before signalling an aide over "Call General Stephen Mitter and order him to send the 3rd and 2nd battalion of the Royal Artillery and 1st Battalion of the Royal Anglian Regiment to Gibraltar, get the Royal Logistics Corps to find the quickest route to supply the region with food as fast as possible" he ordered, shooing him away and hanging up before returning to his thoughts.

With the new acquisition of Alaska, Canada was feeling quite well. It survived the economic crash more comfortably than many of the other larger nations such as the U.S. did, it's industries were thriving especially with the mineral reserves that it had garnered from the Alaska Deal, and with the world slowly but surely seeping into a pit of chaos, Canada or more correctly, the Blake Family felt that the time was right for them to take a more prominent role on the world stage.

Their family had long been associated with the old money elites of the world, having grand stakes in the energy, shipping, and defence industries, and as such found themselves playing a big role in Canadian politics, but following the loss Chester Blake in an untimely boating accident, the family momentarily lost its prominence, that is up until the Canadian parliamentary elections of 2016. Following a number of national calamities and scandals, the country felt that there was no one better than the Blakes to "Keep a hold on Parliament". Despite being Prime Minister, the second in command spot soon found a vacancy following the passing of Arnold Pratt in his sleep, and as such was filled by a fellow Blake.

Together, they aim to reestablish the family name and more importantly make their, or Canada's mark on the globe.

South America

As first order of business, the Blakes sent a delegation from Montreal ro go on a month long tour around the southern cone of South America, meeting with chief economic and political figures in nations such as Brazil, Peru, and Argentina and seekign to establish closer ties between them.

Asia

Seeing the writing on the wall, The Blake Administration is seeking to expand the Canadian Naval Presence in the Pacaific, but now without first offering a number of incentives to local players in the area. In Japan they plan to meet with the Japanese Diet and discussing the removal of American forces from the area and instead creating a new research and free trade agreement between Canada and Japan.

The Canadian Delegation is also looking at going to the Philippines to discuss a huge industrial expansion offer which would include free trade and a potential security agreement worth billions for both countries.

Middle East

With NATO dissolved and Canadian being more independent of the U.S., Canada would like to open up "more vibrant" channels between itself and the Islamic world, especially in Saudi Arabia and is looking at making arrangements of sending in a special delegation to meet with the Saudi Royal government.

The relations between Iraq/Iran and Saudi Arabia just kept failing... even after talks and agreements nothing could get through to the two ME based powers that sat at each others necks. Even after Saudi Arabia sponsored the Islamic state and even after they had called for there defeat nothing had ever changed in the relations.. The two hated each other with a passion and when military options looked available Saudi Arabia was quick to arm. Yemen was about to be invaded by a Arab coalition and no doubt Iraq would be furious although by now the Iraqi military was not somuch feared the pure possibility of thousands of tanks crossing the border into the Saudi heartland had promoted a large Anti-Iraq community.

There were 3000 men on the border with Iraq... these men had been there since the Iraqi anexxationof Kuwait and stood there as a reminder that Saudi Arabia would never be defeated by the likes of them. A single fence seperated the two countries and further development of the border was hard to do given the situation just beyond the fence is the Saudi Mine defense area or as most people would see it a giant ass minefield that had enough boom power to send a shockwave that reached India. These two defenses were major lines of defense but the 3000 men of the army and national guard were considered the first and last as they sat earilly on the border like statues all waiting for the day Iraq wouldcome to them.

The 3000 men were allarmed with "Iraqi defense' equipment best suited toface the threat posed by the country with the standard rifle for the border guards being the M4 assault rifle whilemen farther back were typically armed with FN FAL or G13 assault rifles for defense of course Saudi Arabia had a wide selection of rifles to pick from but these tended to be the most common. Unless you were special forces or men from the capitalregion your main side arm for now was a Browing HiPower as the Glock 17/18 was still just being introduced or if you were special forces which got the Sig Sauer P226. The men also carried a number of Anti-Armor Systems with the most common being the M72 LAW usually carried by every second man in the group or one of the many other systems like the Panzerfaust 3, APAILS, Carl Gustov, AT4 and soon down the inventory of thousands of unguided Anti-Tank weapons the kingdom had available. The kingdom also made heavy use of the TOW and Dragon ATGM they had in service with around 400 Tow launchers and a unknown number of Dragons being stationed near the border primarily because of the threat of large Iraqi armor numbers.

Speaking of armor the main vehicle used to get around was the Humvee of which over 100 were stationed near the border while around 40 were used by the Border guards mainly armed with the M2 Browing machine gun for self defense around 12 were armed with TOW Anti-Tankmissiles or with Mistral Surface to Air missiles with the later being use primarily in convoy defense operations where armor or attack helicopters could be a problem. A number of MRAP were also at the border at around 120 pieces primarily meant in case Saudi forces have to cross in but they did work nice as heavily armoed patrol vehicles. Some other small vehicles like civilian or jeeps were also used for quick transportation and such but such a hostile enviornment means that the Humvee is more prefered when in operation or moving across the border posts.

The main armored vehicle at the border was the M113 with up to 30 being stationed at one time and over 50 near the border area these large vehicles would act as a major transport if war were to breakout and withmany containing fixed Bradly turrets this giant machine could dish out huge firepower and transport a squad of men. the LAV III acted as anothermajortransport with over 40 being at the border for quick assault these vehicles based on the Canadian version were armedwith anumber of weapons ranging frommachine guns and grenade launchers to TOW missiles, 30, 90 and 105 MM turrets, MANPADS and more with the vehicles being able to switch out weapons depending on the scenario. The M2 Bradly was the main recon platform of the Saudi army and out of 800 in service atleast 15 were near the Iraq border armed with a 30MM turret and two TOW missiles this vehicle could be used to dish out power and get a squad in and outof any situation. Many Saudi or Arab made vehicles were not near the border despite them being in larger numbers then the foreign gear that the border guard used of course the reasons for this are unknown.

The Saudi military forces at the border also took use of Tanks mainly the M1A2 of which 20 were at or near the border followed by the national guard T-90 which there was also around 40. These tanks would provide a major push power and would primarily act as escort vehicles or armor hunting for Iraqi T-72 tanks. Leopard tanks would also make the stop to the border sometimes but would never truely stay except in the east near Kuwait where there were around 40 about 80KM from the border used just in case Iraqi forces in the former Kuwait break through the lines.

UH-60 Blackhawks, MI-17 AND NH90 helicopters could all be seen at the border along with the AH-64 and MI-35 from time to time but none were stationed instead they were 'guest equipment' which made numbers hard to predict but knowing that atleast 6 UH-60 are stationed at Border post 9 near the center of the border and AH-64 helicopters are stationed at airports near the border for civil defense training that often taked place of course the Iraqi did not even know helicopters were at the border let alone a few stationed here and there or just visiting for a few months every now and then.

Fighters were not considered border forces as at the lastest a fighter could be in the air and flying at a target in 5 minutes or less so in most scenario any fighter is availableto the border guard. The equipment here was meant to show that Saudi Arabia was not a easy target to deal with and with the recent speculation of Yemen many wondered just what would happen and given past experiences Iraq would be after Arabia like a hound for this which is why another 1000 men from the National Guard were being sent to the border for added security.. Arab unity is a possibility but it all comes down to if the Arab states can find peace in that they are not equal or the same being and that the thing that connects themis history not religion....

A Official Message From the Kingdom of Arabia

From: King Abdullah ofThe Kingdom of Arabia
To: The members of the Arab Union

Riyadh, Saudi Arabia

Dear Leaders of the Arab World:

I in my years of being King have always called for us Arab states to unite together in harmony and in the unity of are faith. The contribute from all of you be it men or money in the liberation of Yemen has showed us that we as Arab states can unite as one and I thank you for that and hope that we can stay united. The nation of Canada has already came and will come soon so we expect you soon as we hope to expand are connections together soon.

Love does not cost anything. Kind words and deeds do not cost anything. The real beauty of the world is equal for everyone to see. It was given by God equally to all, without restrictions.

Everyone, was given a beautiful vehicle in which to express love to others. Feelings are free to express and give to ourselves and each other through our willingness to give and care.

What is complicated about this... Why have we made others feel they have to climb mountains and swim oceans in order to make a difference.

All we need to understand my friends, is that human life was given equally to us all, not partially but in totality.

The sun was given to all. It does not shine on the few. So, just has nature is indifferent to our station or situation, we need to know that we are all equal. We need to focus on the things that are constant and not place our values on things that can be blown away with the next, great, wind.

Value life in what ever house it dwells. For when it comes time that we are all stripped to bare bones before the divine and facing eternity, we will understand that the only law we were meant to follow, was to love ourselves and each other. Nothing more...nothing less.

Egypt gave me a offer a few days ago about the creation of a military and economic alliance where we could defend one another, Develop and release new technologies to eachother and promote economic growth in free trade, working and living. I talk to you all today in that we must expand the Arab union to develop these new agreements to ensure are safety. To you Canada we expect you soon...

I invite you all to Mecca in the following month to discuss this more or you can accept these terms without a meeting although I would hope we all have more to discuss other then this issue such as Israel and Palestine or the views on a growing Iran. I will meet Canada in the coming week.

I expect your immediate response...

Sincerely Yours,

King Abdullah of Saudi Arabia.

The Sun was a brazen red and the glare was still intolerable from the comfort of a $235 Million Dollar Private jet.
Cheif Middle Eastern Ambassador Randal Pennit immediately began to recall his prior service with the Canadian Army and his hellacious deployment to arid Iraq and then deplorable Southern Afghanistan. He joked with his close delegates on board the plane, "When i was a soldier, I never minded the gun fire and explosions, it was the heat that i got me worried."
He and his fellow members gave a slight chuckle as he reached for a glass of water that was to his left. after gulping the crisp glass of mineral water, he pressed a small button on his pitch black sun glasses and they slightly lit up a shade or two to reveal a whole plethora of emails and social media streams from both the Canadian public and his political delegates back home.

Soon s notification raced to his face and alerted him of the message he had long been awaiting. It was a simple note from the Blakes simply stating, "Be Warm-" (A Quick and typical Blake family jab at other's intolerances) "Be Warm and show them we're not Americans. Sell the Deal ol' sport."
Letting out an exhausting gasp, he deleted the memo and the other alerts and the screen soon faded to one of his daughter when she was in her earlier years.
He stayed gazing at the photo, oblivious the pilot just a few inches away telling him to prepare for landing. Finally he turned off the device and it faded into it's typical sunglasses configuration.

After arriving at the airport, he immediately made his was for the vehicle ahead of him, almost as if trying to out run the sun's rays, and finally after entering the vehicle they immediately began to proceed for the royal palace in Riyadh.

The flash of cameras greeted the prime minister as he exited the plane in Arabia only to be met by journalists and media who all had hoped for a shot of the prime minister before he reached the heavily guarded palace although the two Humvees that stood ahead and behind the escort car showed that Saudi Arabia was a dangerous place. A quick flash would be the first thing the Prime minister would see when he exited the plane of course the prime minister was not allowed to bring weapons himself as that was a law punishable by death here.

The line of journalists soon faded as he left the airport only to find the two Humvees... The men in the vehicles did not speak but would lead each one armed with a Browing HMG along with a heavily armoured escort car for the Canadian prime minister. The reputation of Canada was little as it was seen as a country lacking the military and economic power to match what the U.S. gave but still a decent nation to be friends with in the long run should the situation arise and they somehow become of some major use to the nation.

The car quickly drove with the driver silent the whole trip while the car drove down the newly paved roads of the capital city while the skyscrapers and western businesses lined the street making the city seem like a Arabic Tokyo of some sorts that could not be explained. The farther from downtown and then more the place looked Arabic and the homes and apartments popped up with the people not even caring about what they saw. The car pulled up at a hotel on a waterway which was surprising given it was not the palace or any other important place although as they pulled up the sign of Military personnel lined the area as the driver opened the door for the Prime Minister again greeted by more media and citizens.

"Ah Prime Minister... I trust your trip was well? I hope you enjoy my nation so far given it is a blessing you have came here today on such a short notice. I am sorry for so much security but with the Countries Radar stations and globalize do defence shields being upgraded to modern standards things have been left defenceless... It is like your NORAD that tracks planes, missiles and ground targets via radar and satellite... So you should understand what it is like then! Come come we have much to talk about!", a voice said in front of the Prime minister that was soon revealed to be King Abdullah holding out his hand for a shake his smile showed his pleasure and his old hand a way of showing wisdom. He had expected the desperate Canadians to come eventually and he came out to personally escort the man into the hotel as held his hand out to the man....

Trying not to blush from the unprecedented attention he was getting, Mr. Pennit couldn't help be feel winded when he revealed that he was simply an envoy for the prime minister of Canada. But still, after giving the humblest of apologies, he took the King's hand and then began to discuss his reason for coming.

"King Abdullah, I'm Ambassador Pennit and i'm here in your lovely country to improve Canadian- Arabian relations in a way which i think will benefit both our nations in this trying time." The Ambassador then cleared his throat and pulled out a thin glass frame that then lit up and displayed a dossier of papers. "Your highness, Canada would like to assist you in removing the Iraqi threat, namely by arming your personnel and allowing you to participate in a Fifth generation fighter program with us. We'd also like to allow you to occupy Iraq and Kuwait, as we think you'd make a Great balance in the region."

He then reached into his pocket and pulled out an American Dollar, "Your highness, this piece of paper is worthless and the time for american power is over. Instead, We in Canada think new powers should be forged to help balance the world and with our energy reserves, drive for success, and inginuity. We believe that countries like Canada and Saudi Arabia and others can make a large global impact.

With that, he then pulled out a small bottle of Maple based win and handed it to the king adding; "This is THE oldest bottle of maple wine in the western hemisphere and quite possibly the World. Mr. Blake, The REAL Prime Minister, he chuckled, would like you to have this."

"Oh I am sorry.. It is just I thought the prime minister was coming but it seems I was wrong... I am sorry for so much men but the national defence network is in the upgrade process... It is like your NORAD but better and with ground tracking capability. The U.S. set it up for us during the gulf war and we are glad to have it with us.

We do not require your weapons.... We have a modern military in fact some may say it is better off then yours given your nations problem with purchasing over the years while your gear grows old but unlike you we never had protection from foes... I remember the fear when the Iran-Iraq war started with the military so weak but now we are on top of it all and as such things are not required when you already get the best from other nation so I must at the moment you arming strategy is of no use to us but I thank you anyways. I do like your fighter offer but maybe in the future we can look into it... or I can invest now but we will see what else you have to offer economically and militarily here today before I sign papers. I do thank your nation for the LAV III and other personal gear with the LAV III being one of the main IFV In the armed forces so do not think we aren't open to buy more then are current over 1400 system or maybe something different? We will see what you offer....

America never had to protect us.... We were left to defend are selves and with there fall I feel my region is in danger from Iran and there spread into Iraq and Syria does not help. This is why I called you here do that we may improve are relations and score a ally of some sorts of course you can never fill America you can fill a small part of it also I thank you and your Prime Minister for such a drink! Maybe this will be how we end this meeting!", King Abdullah said with a laugh as he led the ambassador to the large conference room where military and government officials sat and waited for them. Abdullah sat at his chair at the end of the table while the ambassador was left with the seat across from him as the King laughed and sat down with the new drink in hand.

US Entry

Postby THE UNITED FEDERATION OF ALGORENIA » Mon Mar 16, 2015 7:43 pm

Following the recent surge of Canadian "Independence" that has taken the nation by surge, many in the Joint Chiefs of staff and the White house are starting to get a new impression of Canada that many did not anticipate.
It was true that the dissolution of the North Atlantic Treaty, the United Nations, and the seizures of Eastern Ukraine by Russia and continued wave of terrorism in the middle east, and Especially the loss of Alaska helped guarantee a Republican victory and officially humiliated the United States, but many in the new Ryan Administration were ready to pick up the pace and show the world that Old Glory was still a force to be reckoned with.

The first 100 days and Mitt Romney had once called it was surprisingly a simple one. Following the debacle of the previous administration, The Democrats only held a total of five seats and were even outnumbered by the independents (twelve) and as such, most policies went through with relative ease compared to other years.
Of the major measures that went through was the 2020 Military expansion bill which set out to produce another 30 ships over the next five years including four new Lincoln Class Super Carriers and six new unmanned Hoover Class Automated Destroyers. The Bill also allowed for a minor draft of roughly 250,000 people and secured more funding for the development of a replacement for the M1 Abrams Main Battle Tanks and the purchase of another 100- 150 F-22C Variants.

o make room for the huge government military spending rise, the U.S. almost became totally privatized over night. The mail service became privatized, Public education became a thing of the past and was replaced with a voucher system, the Lie that was Obama care was repealed, and the age for medicare was raised, while medicare eligibility was raised to make it harder for many to become eligible.
Though tens of thousands suffered under the new lack of government safety nets, the federal deficit that had become so familiar almost a decade ago was a thing of the past.

The new Republican Administration also repealed some key environmental constraints and instead instated the "Global Competition Bill", replacing conservation spaces with new industrial zones and tax stipends for more domestic industry. Part of the Bill also included reducing the number of illegal immigrants by at least 80,000 a year; making jobs ample for Americans willing to work in the heat building roads or picking fruit. The Bill also saw the rebuilding of a few older military bases and arms production facilities.

The F-35 also began to make a more prominent appearance in military service and was already deployed with about ten squadrons based out in Japan, South Korea, Britain, and Germany. Though there were STILL some technical issues, the plane was deemed ready to meet initial combat operations (ICO).

In the Middle East, the U.S. was readying almost 20,000 troops to go back and "Finish the job" as many former veterans and republican supporters claimed. Basing treaties still had to be worked out with the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia as Kuwait was lost to Iraq and Yemen was deemed to far.

As the King went to his conference, Ambassador Pennit went the other way with his detail and was driven back to the airport where his plane laid ready on the tarmac.
As soon as the door closed behind him, he received a notice from the Blakes; almost as if reading his mind it simply wrote "Return.."
Disappointed, the Ambassador sat down and rested until his flight came back to Montreal.

In Goose bay, The Blake brothers were watching a demonstration from a new Canadian weapons firm; the firm had experience with NASA and the US Military on chemical based laser systems and today was testing its latest air and missile defence laser. from the North over 50 miles away, the Laser rotated on its frame and fired two shots at an automated QF-18 fighter drone. The Rounds hit both the wings and the air frame immediately burst into flames. Suddenly another QF-18 was detected bearing 300 mph heading from the south. The system again rotated and with eerie cold precision, fired another two shots, this time at the canopy where a pilot would've been; and again the same horrific explosion took place.

The brothers gave a slight smile that faded into their pale skin, and simply stated "We'll have the first block of 20 in two years, and another 50 in another three years time." Smiling the test coordinators gleefully smiled and confirmed the order.

"The world doesn't believe us." Said the Prime Minister, "We'll show them. The US is a disillusioned state of the past and those who aim to hold on to it will be doomed to fall with it."

Turning their backs on the whole seen, The Prime Minister added, "Call Pennit for dinner tonight. We'll have Mandarin Quail. The Brother is colored Red and Whit my dear brother!"
"In deed it is Brother!" the second said as they walked to their awaiting motorcade.

The king sat disappointed as he set the bottle beside him aside in disappointment that he could not score a deal and that the Canadians were so rude as to just up and leave without much then a few words of course this act would only make relations between the two worse then they should of been but they had bigger problems then the Canadians trying to act tough and Bing in front of the Kingdom of Arabia and given the announcement given a few moments later when it was made it was assured that the people would view the Northern nation in a negative light.

As the President looked over the request and finalized his proposal to his delegates in congress, he knew that the Saudi's would not get everyhting they outlined in their request, most notably the request for F-22s, but with the development of newer tanks and IFVs the congressional delegation wouldn't be so hard handed in giving up a few older Main Battle Tanks and M117s.

So after a week long deliberation, the Congress elected to issue out the weapons, but only on the condition that they be used WITHIN Saudi Arabia and not be re- sold to any other national entity to ensure that U.S. military hardware did not fall into the wrong hands.
With that, the U.S. made available some 300 M1A1 and 200 M1A2 TUSK variant main battle tanks, 400 M117s, some 800 Javelin anti- tank missiles and 50 launchers, 60 UH-60 Black Hawk troops transport helicopters, and 200 M109 artillery pieces.

Georges watched the message again and again. Fellow revolutionaries were being hang in the United Kingdom. Meanwhile British troops were now stationed in Gibraltar and awaited orders. It surprised him that the British thought the REA could get that far. Spain was slowly but surely being occupied. Some town in Aragon were the next ones to fall. Now they were being decorated with red and black flags. Cuba had once again shown them their support by providing financial aid and military assistance. Posters were now hanging from walls showing the face of Cameron and a bullet passing through it with the motto:He will fall. The offices in Dublin still stood as they received the support of the IRA there. IRA hoped to achieve what their predessesors succeeded 100 years ago. IRA was bigger and more organised in Dublin by the REA. They managed to keep them hidden by the British army. The REA prepared for the invasion of Aragon and the assistance they would give to IRA.

After monitoring the spread of the REA influence through Europe like a cancer, Many in the U.S. National Security Administration and Central Intelligence Agencies are labelign the REA "The ISIS of Europe" and after seeing their violent rise to power, and disillusioned view of democracy, many with the Joint Cheifs of Staff are looking at conducting operations to test out the groups resolve and better evaluate their capabilities and leadership Structure. After Compounding years of data and documented crimes, and supposed dealings with radical leftist powers such as Russia and Cuba, The U.S. has finally given the green light to label the REA a terrorist group which needs to be stopped.

On January 3, 2020 at 4:00 PM EST, President Ryan gave a speech illustrating the REA was responsible for destroying the political stability of the European Union and through working alongside subversive elements, was on a "Dark Crusade" of toppling governments in a heinous offensive of unwarranted propaganda and conventional fighting against European states, and that if allowed to spread outside of Europe, would pose a risk to the remaining democratic powers of the world. As such, the U.S. Armed forces would begin mobilizing to contain and potentially repel the outward spread of the REA terrorist group and potentially help with the reestablishment of democratic states within the European Continent.
The President also warned for citizens to stay alert for the potential for the spread of radical elements within the U.S.and to feel free and compelled to notify local, state, and federal authorities to potential dangerous individuals.

Following the President's speech, elements from the U.S. 2nd and 6th Fleets were ordered to mobilize across the Atlantic to the Mediterranean, Baltic, and North Seas to conduct high level observation and security operations and ground units with the 4th and 10th Infantry Divisions were alerted for potential military deployment to the European Continent.

Wyoming
Somewhere in a desolate location in Wyoming, a team of operators were busy studying the key figures of the REA movement and tracking how the came to become such a prominent group in just five years. There, they refined their hand to hand, field-craft, weapons training, and European linguistics to be able to go in and potential study the group. The exact number of operators were classified, and unbeknownst to them, there were another three groups like them carrying out the same drills.
Day in and Day out, they were assembled to master their espionage and evasion skills and essentially learn how to be "REA- European".
They practice long extensive dives in some of the local lakes and creeks and even trained for potential helicopter, submersible, or high altitude insertion.
Their mission would be a long and treacherous one; but the fate of the free world depended upon them. They were the Jericho Experiment.

Michigan/ Atlantic

Departing from Battle Creek ANG Base in Michigan, An unmarked C-17 flew for a 16 hour flight over the Atlantic ocean on a highly clandestine recon mission. The Plane's five crewmen wore no identification and were issued cyanide capsules. To make matters more "interesting", their plane was rigged with an explosive charge for 24 hours. They were to fly the great lakes region and release their cargo, then cross the Atlantic where they would again release a secondary cargo and then head to crash the plain somewhere in the red sea where they would be picked up by a US navy vessel.

Shortly after takeoff they hit their first intended stop and released their cargo, four helium balloons soon drifted into towards Canada, and with that they were on their way.
