Picking your banners

When picking banners was how you role play your nation relevant? For me, it mostly was, combined with aestheticly pleasing ones.

Yes it was, since Northland is a scandinavian style nation I tought it was appropriate to have a flag with a nordic cross on it.

As was mine. I originally intended Tyrnica to be a French nation, but then I chose the Finnish flag, then swapped the colours and then refined it. Tyrnica became a Nordic nation.

Not your flag, I think he means your *banners*, the streamers that now run across the top of your nation page. You can select them from the 'settings' page.

I don't actually know what they do, if anything. But they're cool nonetheless!

I only use one banner, which is a custom one featuring a panorama of Miraito* and Mt. Saki** with Hatsune Miku in the foreground.

Picked the ones that seemed to suit my nation both ICerly and aestethically.

I picked the banners that reflected the strength of my nation's industries and the oppression of our people.

I pretty much went through and only picked banners that I felt depicted what Alizeria looked like.

Yes I picked pictures that reflected Florida's wonderful environment and added pictures of our capital city Tallahassee. I will soon add pictures that I take of Florida myself.

I turned off those banners that show something not typical to South Isles, such as snow.

[The Northern Kingdoms]

Whatever gives others the impression of a (Germanic) European country to me. Despite my non-Nordic looking flag, the Northern Kingdoms is, in fact, Scandinavian.

yes, gwrachbyd being an enviromentally friendly nation with advanced technology and progressive social policies I felt it was best to pick banners that showed this (plesant natural views, multi culturalism, sleek high tech asthetics)

I just picked ones that I thought best represent my nation. I tried to avoid ones that don't match my nation's tropical island climate, like snow and desert.

I'm not sure what exactly the banners are supposed to do other than look nice though. I'm thinking that maybe they affect the issues that my nation recieves.

I tried to go for mostly relevant ones. Sadly, my own sketches of my nation don't translate well into banners or I'd just use them. So I've been using the ones with the classic Mediterranean feel, which doesn't really capture the Mercatorum's massive mega cities, (thankfully I have the custom banners for that) but it does do the job effectively.

I use only banners with:
- cities (except "progress is movement")
- nice landscapes
- buildings
So only 19/about 50.
I use them also in website of Sestern.
