OOC: Right. Players will be divided into two teams. First ones will be intelligence agencies which after summit in La Paz agreed to launch operation Wraith - which is basically all out attempt to destroy political left by various means by cooperating intelligence agencies. The intelligence agencies may work behind eyes of the government or sponsored by it - it is not a problem for me, as long as they will want to by radical means destroy communism. We will be RPing actions carried by our joint efforts.
Second one (smaller) will be people who will be trying to expose Operation Wraith and those involved. They will start asking questions: "why leftist politicians are disappearing?" and others. Of course Intelligence agencies may be trying to hunt them down. Your goal is to expose truth behind these actions.
It is up to you how the intrigue will unfold. Let the Operation Wraith begin!
*** Mariva, Nueva Aragua.
Juan Rojas Enriquez was well known leftist politician in his region. He came from Gran Cuscatlan almost 11 years ago, when RLFC - guerilla group which was basically remnants of old Communist regime - got broken. He, a common soldier in their ranks, had to flee through the border and settled now here, in Republic of Nueva Aragua. Nueva Aragua never had significant Martinezist movement, even if politics were constant struggle between Arguan Social Party (Leftist) and New Counter Revolutionary Platform (NCRP - Counter - Liberalist ). ASP, which was in power for a long time, granted him asylum here. He was tall, muscular man, with visible black features - even if he was coming from Indian/black mixed ancestry - which made him look quite well. He was now living in small villa at the outskirts of Mariba, the capital of Nueva Aragua.
He slowly walked through the alley towards his home, just after he met with his comrades from Free Red Cuscatlan Front. They were political diaspora plotting how to return socialism in Gran Cuscatlan and re-install communist government. RLFC was no more, but for him the will still remained. He wanted to do this; win the victory for proletariat of Gran Cuscatlan, oppressed by El Generalissimo. He wished for better future. But he also was having more and more depression because of the fact that Cuscatlani people - with exception of few leftist radicals - turned away from him. They preferred nationalistic capitalism of Martinez. But he will make them change his mind. He negotiated almost 50 AKs to be send to Cuscatlan's northern province, where they planned to team up with EZLN and reignite fire in Zavala again. He has just opened the doors of his home, and put off his boots. He turned around, but did not managed to do anything...
Strong arm caught him by the throat while something was injected into his blood by needle which pierced his skin. He tried to resist but no use. Soon he lost his consciousness and will be dead in nearest 2 hours, and even if they manage to rescue him, damage to his brain will be so big that he will be a threat no more. The hand released him letting him fall on the sofa, where his body fell. He was not moving, his heartbeat started to slow. Mix that he was given seemed very similar to mix of certain medical drugs, and caused almost unable to distinguish effects. Everybody will think that his depression turned too bad and he killed himself by overusing his drugs.
Man behind him looked at the body. His real name was Benito Rojas Madison - descendant of English immigrants who came to Cuscatlan long ago on Spanish King's orders. He was better known as "Cadena" - codename meaning chain, which he was assigned by Cuscatlani DINA or "Alberto Enriquez" - name on which he carried his most famous operation of kidnapping leader of Revolutionary Cuscatlani Communist Convention (RC3) Jose Caiazzo. Until today nobody except DINA knew who Alberto Enriquez was. Businessman disappeared just after the RC3 leader was kidnapped. Now he however was here as commander of "Hojas Largas" - Long Blades, elite hit squad of DINA. He turned around, to see his friend, Carlotta "Manguera" Ramirez del Rio. Carlotta was one of most brutal operatives of allied agency, Oficina Nacional Anticomunista (ONA). They quietly asked each other:
"Suicide note?" smiled DINA agent, looking at half-dead communist.
"Written. Marcos faked his character of writing perfectly" she grinned quietly, looking at small note placed at his table in front of the sofa.
"Good. Child Porn?" Marcos looked on the stairs above.
"Juan finished uploading it seconds ago" she said as another agent came down the stairs, and looked with cold face on them.
"Cocaine?" Benito looked into "hidden cocaine place" where they planed drugs.
"I myself placed it there" she pointed at the place.
"Let's get away from here!" said Benito. Four agents then quickly, under cover of the darkness, left his house through the back doors and using black alley withdrew.
*** Nueva Aragua, Tarija
Small house at the outskirts of Tarija - the largest city in Nueva Aragua - was turned into listening post. DINA was spying on someone else: Manuel Rodriguez Havaner, one of major leaders of local EZLN- connected native revolutionary movement. Havaner was secretly a homosexual, who was hiding this fearing dislike from conservative population of Nueva Aragua. This made DINA's job a hell lot easier, as now only thing they had to do was to record him during homosexual acts and then threaten to publish them if he will not comply with demands of DINA. Joao Rios Palmeiro, codename "Lobo" was in command here. They were now tasked with ELINT - his phones were being listened to, his computer had spyware installed. Few other intelligence agencies also were involved in spying on him, as they perceived him as a threat:
Lobo was now looking at one of his agents, who was listening to his conversation he was currently making with one of his "lovers".
"Luis, meet me at my house the day after tomorrow in the afternoon" voice of Havaner was coming from the tap in the phone.
"Call our friends from Wraith" smiled Palmeiro "We will record this fag and he shall learn where his place is".
Soon a message was sent to other WRAITH operatives in the city. But this was not th
