Having fought and triumphed a bloody ten year insurgency known as the Bush Wars, the Astronean Republic is sympathetic towards any country suffering at the hands of terrorists. Astronea publicly condemns the attrocities committed against Lexonian civilians by Islamic extremists, officially outlawing the Insurgents known as ISL as an illegal terrorist organization. Furthermore, the Government of Astronea has offered to lend Military assistance to Lexonia in the form of two of its most feared Special Forces units:

1.) The Asymmetric Warfare Detachment, a Tier 1 Special Operations Group capable of deep penetration and clandenstine operations with the ability to deployed for weeks on end without support. They are renkowned for their survivability, adaptability and combat prowess. Coming under fire from a fireteam of AWD Operators can often seem like an entire batallion through the amount of firepower they can unleash against their enemies. They operate independently of a command structure once deployed into the field, given a long leash on which to complete their mission. This often includes destabilization of entire regions, securing strategic objectives and raiding entire compounds/bases. They are capable of being inserted by HALO/HAHO, paradrop, sub and naval, as well as undercover cross-border incursions.

2.) The Saighead Scouts, a reconnaissance group formed in the 1970s for specific Counter Insurgency (COIN) missions. They use a variety of weaponry and lack any sort of unit or national patches, often wearing non matching uniforms to resemble that of a guerilla force, depending on the environment and uniforms of their enemies. Their main aim is intelligence gathering and spreading confusion and fear among insurgent forces while crippling their manpower by sabotage, "headhunting" of enemies, assassination and "turning" of captured/wounded insurgents onto their side. They are masters of scouting and tracking, able to track human targets through the most unforgiving terrain. Their main modes of transport are light vehicles such as Land Rover "Pinkies", Quand Bikes, Dirt Bikes and even Horseback.
