The Most Cataclysmic Misclick

Postby Daftatt » Mon Dec 15, 2014 7:15 pm

Okay, so I got that business subsidy issue and I was going to dismiss it like ALWAYS. But somehow, and I'm really not even sure how, but I apparently instead chose to delete my economy.

I'm not even sure I want to fix it because it's so hilariously dramatic of a change and it's so very "nationstates" of a thing to happen.

However, as someone who has played this game for many many years and has put a lot of work and thought into each and every decision I make, and given that this was an honest mistake. Is it possible to undo this?

How could that even happen? Yikes.

As a side question, [violet], is this meant to happen? I mean - usually the saying goes, "the longer you play/answer issues, the less likely a steep rise/drop's going to happen".

Unless OP didn't answer any Economy issues in the entire time he played, of course. :)

How could these stupid issues are even approved to be in the game? Too radical for me, better get cozy covered with my national flag.

Well, you can take a red marker and draw a straight line, it will make you feel better.

It's like the difference between an issue that cuts Education funding by a specific amount and one that eliminates Education funding. If your nation has limited funding to begin with, the effect of both options will be similar. But if you have an enormous Education department, built up over a long period of time, the effect of the first issue may be barely noticeable while the second will wipe you out.

yeah I've pretty much decided this is too interesting to even want to stop. I will rebuild a CAPITALIST society! This is actually the most interesting NS has been in years for me.

Yes, "Economy" looks at the short-term; the longer description in the World Census is "fastest-growing economies." It's perfectly possible to crash your economy but still have a large manufacturing sector.
