INTRODUCTION.

The year is 2556, tensions are high among the Super Powers after a bomb detonated outside the Helghast embassy in the United Stars. The Helghast seem certain that one of the other powers are behind it, but both are denying responsibility. Trade lanes are being raided by an unknown yet highly equipped privateering organization, clearly being backed by some wealthy investors of unknown origins or perhaps, as the Helghast suspect – by the other powers. Clearly someone, somewhere is trying to spark a serious conflict and things are not looking good, especially with the vast ideological shifts which have turned all three powers into not only competitors for galactic domination, but ideological enemies too. To make things worse; tensions are already high with the Vekta-Helghast Emprie and the Republic States of America, both pressing their claims against one another's lands, the most contested of these lands being the planet of Haven - an Ex-Helghast colony which declared it's independence several decades ago and ever since the Helghast authority withdrew, has been in complete anarchy - turned into nothing more than a wasteland by years of civil war and several attempts by the Helghast Military to re-take what they view as rightfully theirs. Will you take up arms in the name of one of these great nations and their way of life? Will you go it alone and seek to further your own ideology's foothold in the galaxy? Or shall you try to maintain your neutrality, keeping your head low in hopes of surviving these times of uncertainty with relative ease? This is where your tale begins..

History of your species - The first bones of ancient Holz'dul were recovered from around 2 million years ago. It is believed that year was the first time sentient life existed on Varsseniya. Since then, many empires rose and fell, but they are unimportant here. The most important parts of Holz'dul history comes from a century ago.

Varsseniya was divided between dozens of nations. Amongst these nations were three superpowers: The Republic of Vylzaven, the democratic superpower; The Kingdom of Losenda, the monarchist superpower; and the Confederation of Asœic States, a socialist superpower. These three nations were locked in an almost constant war with each other, with two nations allying to fight the other only to backstab their ally.

This constant fighting lasted for 30 years before Phral'a Veronyka II of Losenda decided to put an end to it. She upgraded the military of Losenda and prepared to cripple Vylzaven.

Brief History of Ship: Experimental, the Inquisitor was stolen from Helghast testing ground following a successful assignment in which his original ship was destroyed. TOM came preinstalled, as Collins found out a few days later.

Brief History:

The planet Chaeona (/Cha.on.a/ Meaning Spirit Mother) is a garden world orbiting a Class K star, and is the fourth planet away from its star, after Rhaos, Oziukun, and Sharzask, it has one moon named Phoques. The planet is roughly 6.73 billion years old, and has gone through three mass extinctions which altered the planets ecosystems, geography and development. The planet has a mostly temperate climate, with an ion core and a primarily oxygen atmosphere. The current inhabitants of the planet, the Raktha, are a massive omnivorous species that evolved in a swamp land and currently occupy most of the planet, having avoided an earlier ice age.

The planets Government is known as the Chaeona Council, analogues to the United Nations of Earth, the Council became the planets governing body in the year 872 PA (Post Atomic). The Civilization is a decently large one which follows strong control over economics and service control, and works to secure all colonies that have spread far from the homeworld. The Council is no stranger to warfare, and while their ships are notable, their infantry is lacking in complexity, they either use a majority of drones and mechs, or hired private military firms which they fund with their economy.

Brief History:Formerly the centre of a historically powerful empire, the subsequent decline and increasing backwardness of the Empire lead to it's disintegration long before the emergence of the current super powers. Yanitza is theoretically the only planet still under Imperial control, although this is merely on paper as numerous warlords fight over the planets surface. As well as being a notorious warzone, weak governmental control has lead to several major interstellar corporations exercising control over some cities and key economic areas. In return for being able to operate on the planet, friendly war lords are able to gain access to advanced weaponry and technology as frequent conflict ha lead to a reversal of former technological standards

Other.

History of your species (May include the major powers, with their permission) – The Yanitzans rose to prominence as a space faring race long before the ascent of the present day superpowers. Under the strict control of a highly autocratic Monarchy with heavy religious undertones, not only was Yanitza able to expand in size by creating a sizable interstellar empire, but also saw a golden age of cultural and scientific advancements. Of course however an expanding empire saw increased costs in defence and stability which sapped away at resources, as well as the inability of the Monarchy to control everything.

This eventually led to a a steady informal erosion of central power and a rise in stagnation and corruption. Unable to keep up with rival Empires, the Yanitzans suffered a series of external defeats which crippled Imperial authority, leading to a disastrous civil war that saw a loss of effective Imperial control over the throne world of Yanitza. The Yanitzan government was powerless to stop her colonies throwing off the Imperial yoke and eventually either dying off, being annexed by rival powers or descending into barbarity.

The latter outcome was to be the fate of those Yanitzans on the home world who saw their golden age destroyed by cycles of violence. Much of the Yanitzan intelligentsia is long gone leaving the Yanitzans in a present state of sub primitiveness and ripe for exploitation.
