Akwenisia's Second Golden Age (IC/LOP)

Postby Akwenisia » Mon Nov 24, 2014 2:44 pm

Broadcast from the Karl Vladimir Il Sung Administration Skyscraper, Karlvladimirilsungistan, Akwenisia

Greetings, citizens of Akwenisia, and the world.

Muffled cries of "Help me!" can be heard in the background.

My name is Karl Vladimir Il Sung, first of my name. Many of you recognize me as the first leader and Eternal President of Akwenisia. Thanks to the advancements of modern technology, I have been resurrected, and have been given robotic upgrades. I have replaced my idiot great-grandson as the current leader of Akwenisia, and I intend to make changes to our great nation.

Muffled cries of "He's a maniac! He's a murderer!" can be heard in the background.

If you want to discuss the following changes, there is a meeting at the Terra Nullus International Diplomatic Building, 37th Floor on November 30th, 2014 at 0900. This meeting could decide the fate of your nation and the very region itself. As for changes to Akwenisia, the first and foremost of the many changes is that I have been chosen by the people to lead them once again. The former leader has been...taken care of.

"HELP! GO TO THE MEETING! HELP ME!"

The second of many changes is that Akwenisia shall claim land slightly westward, and shall claim the gap between its southern border and the ocean below. This expansion shall give room to harbor many of Akwenisia's projects and further our scientific advances.

"HE'LL KILL US ALL!"

There are many other, subtle changes that will make Akwenisia better, one step at a time, advancing it into a second Golden Age.

"Guards? What are you doing with that whip- OW! OW! STOP IT! OW!"

Karl Vladimir Il Sung, signing out.
Akwenisia is a corrupt dictatorship ruled by Karl Vladimir Il Sung I (again) with an iron fist. Akwenisia is a PMT/FT nation, with most of its tech possible coming out in the real world by 2020.

About half past one in the afternoon, an Air Korena jet touched down in the windswept steppes of west-northwest Akwenesia. A small delegation of creatures stepped out of the plane and made their way down the tarmac and to the bus that had travelled with them on their plane. The bus was bulletproof, large, and black. Two TurtleShroomer flags were on its hood. On the roof, four TurtleShroomer flags, one for each corner, made it clearly known who this bus belonged to. On each door was the Emblem of TurtleShroom.

King Maven Outtacountry, himself a former master diplomat, knew how to deal bluntly with rogue states and raving idiots. Flanked by him to his left and to his right were Chancellery Guardsmen, clutching their retrofitted Gatling machine guns tightly, as two soldiers brought up the rear with standard military weapons. One Artillery Mushroom, with his advanced machine gun and large assortments of guns, pistols, blunt objects, and bombs, hovered just outside this perimeter, keeping careful watch. An armed delegation was very unusual for peacible TurtleShroomer envoys, given the tradition of hospitality the country's culture had fostered, but the sounds of the former leader of Akwenesia being beaten as the unholy corpse of his grandfather spoke made them paranoid.

As the bus barreled down the path alone, the windswept steppes gave way to the equally windswept grasslands and fertile soil on the banks of the rivers that made Akwenesia such a good place for a civlization to form.

Karlvladimirilsungistan was large and impressive, like any national capital should be, but the imposing, Soviet Bloc architecture of the capitol immediately took their attention and held it there. No one except the driver noticed an Akwenese officer pointing towards the Terra Nullus Building. The TNB was, interestingly enough, facing towards the borderlands of Akwenesia. Its name suggested that Akwenesia had Manifest Destiny on the brain.

King Outtacountry stepped out of the bus first as his detail surrounded him. His crown, the humble emerald circlet with velvet red pillow, was placed on the tortoise's head as the sash from his days as Headmaster of Foreign Affairs was draped over his shell. He was set. Taking a deep breath, he crawled forward and into the lobby of the Terra Nullus Building, where he was directed to go to the back of the lobby and up the elevator.

"Of course it's the highest floor. This is a tinpot dictatorship we're talking about." Maven thought, while looking at the ornate, tropical wood that lined the paneling of the elevator and its marble floor. No expense was spared, that's for sure.

They were led by an employee to the designated room. As two of the human Guards placed a hand each on the double doors, King Maven took a deep breath, and exhaled slowly as the soldiers, one mushroom, and one human, entered first.

"It's showtime."

"Welcome, king Maven Outtacountry, to our country of Akwenisia. Please, take a seat." Karl Vladimir Il Sung, a man who was, in actuality, more than a hundred years old, yet he looked as if he were still in his 50's spoke in a deep, intimidating voice. He carried a staff that appeared to be used as a walking stick, designed like the one told about in legends that the evil sorcerer Kyrios Anthalon used to ground the sky-continent Auroria and split it into two kingdoms.

"I'M IN THE BASEMENT! FIND ME AT BREAK--NO! DON'T HURT ME! PLEASE, NO! NO! OW! AHH!"

"I am deeply sorry about the voice on the PA. A...very special prisoner...sneaked past the guards office, and went to the announcement system for this room. He used to monitor this building, after all. It's very hard to believe that such an idiot can figure out how to get on the announcements.

"As I have mentioned earlier, Akwenisia is planning to expand southward towards the ocean. I do hope that this shall be agreed upon with the nations present at the meeting. If it is not, I am afraid I shall have to...make them accept."

Slowly making its way through the afternoon sky, one of the mighty Sky Frigates of the Commonwealth Navy began its descent upon an airfield within the Akwenisian capital, lumbering its way to the ground as its landing gears detracted to bring the entire airship to a stop. Exitting the large zeppelin, were a number of Commonwealth Navy and Sky Guard regulars, donned in either blue wool or black leather uniforms respectively. Removing two armored automobiles from the loading bay of the airship, the soldiers loaded into the vehicles, waiting patiently for a man and woman both in Sky Guard uniform to board before setting off to the designated meeting area.

Passing through the vast capital city, of which little within the entourage could be bothered to memorize the name, the man offered nothing but the facial expression of discontent - disappointed, though seemingly not with the nation at hand.

"Honestly, Commodore, these diplomatic negotiations are nothing but a waste of our time. I know that the High Admiral assigned you to manage affairs within the South Lands, but that hardly means that you must address every..." The man silenced himself for a moment, continuing, "... regardless, you have incredibly limited authority within the region and the Commonwealth Navy. Be wary of what you say, and what you promise, if not for your personal safety, then for the well-being of the Commonwealth. We are already within the War of Steel and at odds with the Lynxcians, we do not need another war nor do we wish for another enemy, Commodore Winters."

The woman glanced at the man, sighing as she removed her kepi and swept her gloved hand through her fine blonde hair, having been through this conversation ever since they left their post within Turtleshroom.

"Lieutenant Florent Lefebvre, might I remind you that I am a Commodore within the Commonwealth Navy placed in charge of South Lands operations - by the High Admiral - and am fully within my juristriction to carry out the affairs of the Commonwealth within my area of influence?" The Commodore stated, staring at the large meeting building, "It is my duty to maintain the better interests of the Commonwealth Navy within the South Lands, whether it is protecting its citizens within Turtleshroom, or addressing third-world nations with incredibly questionable governments such as this. Afterall, who is better situated to deal with the situation than myself?"

"The High Admiral might have assigned you to watch over the affairs of the South Lands, but I have been assigned by the High Admiral to look over you." The Lieutenant sighed as he looked at the various guards patrolling the area, "The Akwenisians are not Turtleshroomers, and their endeavors are none of our concern, much less address a seemingly 'revived' president and his ambitions for regional expansion. I am just worried for your personal safety and well-being, Commodore, please understand."

Exitting their vehicles and walking into the lobby of the Terras Nullus Building, the entourage of eight were instructed to go up the elevator towards the official meeting room. Dressed in full black leather uniforms, decorated with an assortment of metal buttons, kepis upon their heads, with short swords and pistols at their hips; the Commonwealth Navy representatives looked quite professional, if not frighteningly imposing upon their surroundings. Stepping out of the elevator, they were met with screams through the announcement system, the Commodore staring up in surprise while the other members of the entourage continued to stoically look forward.

"I'M IN THE BASEMENT! FIND ME AT BREAK--NO! DON'T HURT ME! PLEASE, NO! NO! OW! AHH!"

"It's none of our concern." Florent said quietly to the Commodore, placing a hand upon her shoulder, "We are merely representatives of the Commonwealth Navy, and its interests within the South Lands. We must not get involved with Akwenisian affairs least it involve us."

After dutifully being lead into the designated meeting room by one of the employees, the Commonwealth Navy soldiers pushed open the door for their Commodore, who entered the room flanked by her Lieutanent and other soldiers. Glancing at the Turtleshroomers, who had arrived before them, the woman turned her gaze to the seemingly middle-aged Akwenisian man in the room, introducing herself.

"Commodore Cecilia Winters of the Commonwealth Navy Sky Guard, leading authority of Commonwealth Navy affairs within the South Lands, including Akwenisia."
A complete mess of a nation known in-character as the 'North Lands'; populated by pious priestesses, wandering mercenaries, violent bandits, and various internal power struggles. Be careful of who you deal with.

Sipping a glass of cognac, a Nexonan Chancellor named Friedrich Wolfz asked a question, "Frau Elisabeth, vhen will ve arrive?", while calling a 25 year old blonde air stewardess who was bringing a plate of Königsberger Klopse. Even though she was annoyed, the air stewardess replied back, "Herr Kanzler, we will arrive in 1 hour and 15 minutes." He asked the same question 8 times before this.

One and a quarter hours later, the large business jet touched down at an airport located at Karlvladimirilsungistan. Three other planes were escorting the Nexonan bigwig. A black and armored stretch limousine that has a classic built was deployed out of the main airplane's back. Inside two of the escort aircrafts were elite soldiers from the special force. The third escort airplane contained elite bodyguards who were tasked with protecting Chancellor Wolfz. Two APCs and three military trucks were deployed from each of the two military aircrafts while four black-colored and armored luxury sedans that resemble a BMW 7 series F01. After forming a motorcade that consists of (in order):two APCs, three military trucks, two armored luxury sedans, the main limousine, two armored luxury sedans, three military trucks and two APCs. All of the vehicles carry the flag of New Nexon.

Then they set off for the Terra Nullus International Diplomatic Building that the Eternal President of Akwenisia had invited them to.

The TurtleShroomer delegation stepped aside from the doorways as the Commissariat delegation entered. The tortoise turned back to face Vladimier Sung.

"What you are asking for is a steep demand, Your Excellency," the King stated. "Expanding into the Terra Nullus is a very touchy situation that is frowned upon in the southern Land of Power. No nation, mine included, has ever had the nerve to state their intentions to do so."

He turned to a tall Asian gentleman, wearing an orange, hooded robe with sunglasses and spiky hair. (This was the current Keeper of the Nuclear Football, as indicated by the steel briefcase handcuffed to his left wrist.)

"Douglas, the map, please."

The Nuclear Football Keeper nodded and reached his arm in to the back of his robe, removing a thick scroll with wooden handles. He plopped it on the table with a thud and spread it out.

It was a very large map of the Land of Power. It covered much of the table.

"Though the North Lands rule the waves," intoned King Outtacountry, "We are the cartographers. Neutral, unbiased, honest, and accurate. The honored delegation from the Aashinian Commissariat's mighty Navy will notice that the only real difference between our maps and theirs are, obviously, the names of the locations." {OOC: It's been established OOC-ly and IC-ly that TS maps are actually accurate, except their names, which vary.}

He smiled and withdrew his head into his shell, coming back out with a thick, black permanent marker. With surprisingly deft movements of his neck, King Outtacountry drew straight lines in black. Sitting the marker down on the table beside the map, he allowed the Akwenese leader to survey his handiwork.

"This is what I will allow you to expand towards." the tortoise said. "I can't give you anything closer to the Gulf of Dipper than that, because as I said before, only the Aashinian Commissariat rules the waves. This land is entirely empty steppe. It's flat, windy, hot in the summer and cool in the winter. There might be treasures* or stuff under there, but our satellites can only tell you the terrain."

He paused.

"That one enclave to the bottom-left of those borders, which you cannot control, is the site of an ancient Mongoloid civilization. We suspect it was a settlement of the Mongols that your people beat up and drove west. Apparently, a sizable poriton of them became sedantary and swore fealty to your nation or whatever it was in the thirteenth century, simply because might made right. We cannot allow your country to oversee that area because of its importance to our regional heritage."

Taking a breath, King Outtacountry nodded.

"We ask for one thing in return. The release of your descendant, the former leader of Akwenesia. He's been screaming in the background throughout your initial broadcast, and we cannot tolerate someone mistreating their family or clan, so we wish him to be released into our custody and removed from Akwenesia completely."

He looked towards the Aashinian envoy.

"Expanding the coastline of your country is out of my purview. For any questions concerning either your waterways or more coastlines for your territory, and not to mention territorial waters, you'll have to ask them. I have proposed my part of the deal. Now, it's there turn."

The tortoise looked to the Aashinians and smiled a warm, inviting smile. He motioned with one of his feet to sit down and present their demands and proposals.

The door opened. Chancellor Wolfz and his security details entered the room. "Land expansion eh?", the Chancellor said. "If you are going to expand to a land full of minerals or start industrial cities, Nexon will-", the Chancellor suddenly noticed that Commodore Cecilia Winters was about to say something. "Pardon me, Commodore Winters. Accept my apology for interrupting you", the Chancellor politely apologized and sat on one of the chairs, just beside Commodore Winters.

The Commonwealth Navy delegates stood aside, allowing the Turtleshroomers to present a map, and outline the extent that they would allow for Akwenisian expansion. The Turtleshroomers highlighted the layout of the land, similar towards that of a merchant, and make their single request for the relief of the constantly screaming individual over the intercomms. It was a relatively simple request, and although the Akwenisians would not receive their complete demands, it was a fair amount land in return for recognition of the newly aquired territories. Offering the chair for negotiations, the Commodore nodded in respect towards King Outtacountry, sitting down and examining the terms already present.

Motioning her Lieutenant to her side, Commodore Winters thoroughly discussed the present terms of Akwenisian expansion and its implications within hushed whispers. The Lieutenant made a couple of nodding motions, pointing at the territories marked upon the map, before the Commodore nodded in confirmation, seemingly content with the current terms involved. Looking up at the aged Akwenisian President, the Commodore held her head up in confidence, opening her mouth to state the Commonwealth Navy's address upon the issue--

"Land expansion eh? If you are going to expand to a land full of minerals or start industrial cities, Nexon will-"

The Commodore glared at the new arrivals, who had abruptly entered the meeting room with not as so much as a knock. Noticing the awkward situation that had made itself present within the room, the Nexonian delegates excused themselves, seating themselves beside the polite - abid bewildered - Commodore. Leaning upon her Lieutenant, Winters whispered something to him, the Lieutenant seemingly having to brief the Commodore upon the location of Nexon and its relevance to the negotiations before moving on.

"Considering that the current terms of negotiation do not particularly effect the endeavors of the Commonwealth Navy, we shall assume an indifferent stance towards the highlighted expansion, unless the planned endeavors of Akwenisia clearly display a hostile and detrimental effect towards the Commonwealth, in which we shall respond accordingly." Winters stated, folding her hands in front of her, "The Commonwealth Navy also has no juristiction within the Tokugawa Sea, and thus has no reason to interfere with maritime endeavors regarding the southern expansions of Akwenisia, least for the reasons stated previously. In South Lander terminology, simply, least it involves the Commonwealth, the Commonwealth Navy is neutral upon Akwenisian endeavors within the South Lands."

The Commodore leaned upon her Lieutenant, whispering to him again, seemingly trying to think of any topics which she did not address. The Lieutenant, seemingly motioning to assume negotiations upon behalf of the Commodore, stood at attention as he began to address the delegations at hand.

"Lieutenant Florent Lefebvre of the Commonwealth Navy Sky Guard, aide to Commodore Winters." The man introduced himself, "It has come to our attention that the Akwenisians wish to engage within a numberous amount of aspirational changes to their nation, as mentioned within your initial address, President Karl Vladimir Il Sung, though you have only currently listed changes within leadership and desires of territorial expansion. Would you be so kind as to entertain us of your further goals and planned implementations, perhaps as far as to list them for mention within these negotiations, if possible? We would simply wish for all 'i's to be dotted and every 't' to be crossed before we agree to any defining terms within regional politics, that is all."

Winters nodded, confirming the words of Lieutenant Lefebvre, before he continued.

"The Commonwealth Navy would also like to discuss Akwenisian maritime endeavors within the Gulf of Dipper, and their planned endeavors for such, if that would not be too much trouble. The Commonwealth Navy assumes all matters within the Navigatic Sea, or Frizzle Ocean within the South Lands, to be an incredibly serious matter with potentially vast reprocussions. We would wish to be informed of all Akwenisian endeavors within those waters - planned or actual - to be listed within these negotiations, so that the Commonwealth Navy might have a greater idea of Akwenisian objectives, and how they shall effect the Commonwealth Navy." Lefebvre stated, seemingly cold and stoic in his words, "Once again, we would simply want to make sure everything is within order before we leave these negotiations, so that we may potentially avoid more serious issues within the near future."

Seemingly finished with his speech, Lefebvre gestured towards the Nexonian representatives, pointing them out towards the other delegations present.

"Now then, I believe that the Nexonians wished to address issues concerning strategic resources and production facilities, before they... ahem... came to realizations with the situations present?" The Lieutenant said, folding his hands behind his back as he passed the negotiations to the Nexonians.
A complete mess of a nation known in-character as the 'North Lands'; populated by pious priestesses, wandering mercenaries, violent bandits, and various internal power struggles. Be careful of who you deal with.

Noticing the gesture of the Commodore, Chancellor Wolfz spoke. "As I was going to say, if Akwenisia wishes to expand into Terra Nullus, Nexon would like to build some factories at your new industrial cities or start mining operations, depending on the land you are taking." When a nation wanted to annex some regions, Nexon always asked for mining rights or the right for Nexonan companies to open factories in exchange for recognition. A bodyguard of the Chancellor, a new transfer from Planet Nexonia, thought to himself. "Greedy freeloader, gonna place some of your companies there, eh?"

"Aside from that, we are generally ok with it, as long as you annex smaller areas first. Furthermore, Nexon will be glad to send your currently under detention descendant to either a Nexonan embassy at Karlvladimirilsungistan or an Akwenisian embassy at Nexon City. That way, the Emperor will provide him with a moderately luxurious lifestyle that Consuls enjoy. At the same time, your agents can keep a strict eye over him. Everybody wins, except for ultranationalists living at the land that you will annex that is," Wolfz added.

"No sir," King Outtacountry said to the Nexon Chancellor. "The former leader is ours."

He looked to the Akwenese leader.

"I didn't expect economics to come into this, but I can assure you that my country can offer far better and cheaper investments in your lands. TurtleShroom had one of the largest manufacturing industries west of Heloise Harbor, THE largest oil industry, and mining operations that would blow your mind. -and itʻs all low maintenance."

He paused.

"Of course, the government itself can't invest in my country, but if you agree to open to foreign investment, they'll sort it out. -and take your oil."

The Nexonan Chancellor quickly shot back. "Look, King Outtacountry, how about we just allow each other to proceed with their own investments and let all of our capitalists do the work? After all, I'm sure there're plenty of business opportunities at the newly annexed land and we will be glad to help develop it. There is no need to monopolize everything." He then pulled Karlvladimirilsung to one corner. "Do you want to allow your grandson to have a chance a dissension under the TurtleShroomers who won't keep an eye on him or do you want to keep your power secured by sending him to either your embassy at the Nexon City or the Emperor's embassy at Karlvladimirilsungistan?", KVIS the First was warned. "Sure, he might be an idiot, but if that happened, you will become the idiot in others' minds," Chancellor Wolfz warned for a second time.

"Welcome, all, to our glorious country of Akwenisia." Karl spoke with a slow, deep voice to the ones who have just arrived.

"I have heard on the telescreens that some of you," Karl glared at Cecilia. If you look into his eyes, you could see nothing beyond those pupils but a hollow shell of a man who has been resurrected, and a man who is about to murder his own descendant.

"Some of you, think that Akwenisia is nothing more than a third-world country. A tinpot dictatorship. I ask you this, though. Can a third-world country make ships that go faster than light? Can a third world country make weapons based off of plasma?" Karl slammed his staff against the ground with each statement.

"CAN A BUILDING, FROM A THIRD WORLD COUNTRY, DO THIS?!" The wall behind Karl became transparent, revealing the Karl Vladimir Il Sung Administration Skyscraper. Sections of the building started to open and rise, revealing turrets and plasma guns. The light in the room changed from a bright white to a dimmer red.

"IF YOU THINK, THAT AKWENISIA, COMPARED TO YOUR STEAM, AND COLD WAR TECH, IS A THIRD WORLD COUNTRY, THEN--" Karl was cut short by a head-splitting headache. "OW! Sorry, I have a headache. Effects of being cryogenically frozen. Hold on one second...." Karl took a sip of a strange green sludge in a glass on the table, at the edge of the map. The room lighting and building changed to normal, as the wall became opaque.

"I refuse your requests to take my great-grandson out of prison. I am practically doing you a favor by not letting you take him. He is the most annoying, incorrigible, uncooperative, irresponsible, illogical person I have ever met in the many, many years of my life. What kind of idiot desices to put his own private harem in the administration tower?!" Karl paused at the shocked looks around the room.

"I'm serious! Go to the elevator, type in "LADIEZLUVMEH" on the keyboard in the elevator, it takes you to the 39.5th floor, and there is a giant sauna with scantily-clad women all over the place and it was not fitting for a proper leader! I only kept him alive to tell me what is the current state of affairs for Akwenisia, but this meeting serves that purpose. At the end of the meeting, he shall be executed to be a symbol of the death of tyranny and the birth of a new golden age."

"I can supply you with something, though-- energy. Our top-grade solar panels and hydrogen fuel cells power this whole country, and we have surplus. We could sell that extra to you...for a price. Maybe it would take away from using the disgusting, unclean black sludge you call 'oil'."

"I respect the Mongol civilization in that enclave. We are beginning to make contact, and something about them seems...intriguing. I can't quite put my finger on it. For my coastline, I think the ones from the Commissariat confirmed that I can expand there. Simply give me the land to the right, and it shall be a deal." On the wall behind Karl, blueprints for machines utilizing hydrogen cells appeared. "As for investments for oil, I shall not allow you to do that. I believe that my countries clean and powerful energy shall wean you off of Mother Earth's teat, and provide a clean source of energy."

Chancellor Wolfz listened to the Akwenisian leader's monologue. He calmly took a glass of bourbon on the table and sipped it. "Sorry, Nexon doesn't need your green energy - we already have them. It's only now that I find out that both of our nations despise environmentally-damaging energy resources. To be fair, we do mine oil, but we sell them to other nations so that they can pollute themselves. I'm sent here to acquire the right to build factories at your new land, not to mine oil. If there're minerals like tin, gold, copper, iron and silver found at your new land, we would also like to acquire mining rights as well," the Chancellor said with a deep voice.

King Maven's terror turned to anger as the building rested back onto its foundations.

"I don't care if he harvests pumpkins and has two heads!" the tortoise snapped back. "That man is FAMILY. A FAMILY NEVER LEAVES ONE OF THEIR OWN BEHIND, YOU ZOMBIFIED KINSLAYER! Incompetent as he may be, he is still your flesh and blood, and, before this incident, I bet he loved you too! Maybe he still does! Certainly, he is a better man than you after you woke from your coma! What else do you plan? Slay his wives? Eat his children?"

The tortoise clenched his jaw as his wrinkled face and beady eyes gave off an expression if rage. Like any angry turtle, the King hissed at Karl Vladimierilsung.

"Might I add that TurtleShroomer technology ground an invasion by an alien civilization with far more advanced technology than anything here to a stalemate? We surrendered that war in terms almost as favorable as a white peace!"

He looked out the ceiling-to-floor windows.

"Oh, and you know one drawback to having technology as advanced as yours? Two words. ELECTROMAGNETIC PULSE. All your fancy computers and circuity is vulnerable, and because of the nature of electricity, no force field can stop it! We wouldn't need to nuke you. All we'd have to do is detonate a pocket new-cue-ler weapon over this town and watch everything go black! We've done it before and we'll do it again! Our fallout shelters house three times our population
for months, even years, on end!"

The TurtleShroomer king continued.

"I am not here to start a war, Your Excellency-" he practically spit those last two words out "-and I am still open to embracing your expansion. -but let me be crystal clear."

The tortoise outstretched his neck and pushed the map and papers closer to his desk.

"You are dealing with TurtleShroom, not some run of the mill pocket kingdom. What's more me is a representative of the Aashinian Commissariat of former Comrade Commissar. They have the greatest navy in the region- no, the greatest navy in NationStates. Their innovation exceeds even ours, a d their warrior nature would bring this country to its knees. TO ITS KNEES! You aircraft? We can't see them until they stop, but they WILL stop, and that's when they'll fall. Our anti-aircraft batteries have shot down UFOs and hovercraft twice your firepower and the Aashinians have sunken modern battleships with their ironclad ships of the line. SHIPS OF THE LINE, YOUR EXCELLENCY!"

He looked to the map again.

"Now tell me again what you said. You will get all you asked for in return for saving your own descendant and his wives and kids. That's a concession so petty itʻs like you get all that clay for free. Now then. Let me rephrase what I said. You WILL release your family into safe custody of one of the nations here or the deal is off!"

Despite King Marwin's rage, Chancellor Wolfz is very calm. Too calm. Commodore Winters can clearly see that he's a certified psychopath. "Now, to put King Outtacountry's statement in a moderate way, he will declare war on your nation," Wolfz explained to KVIS.

"I can hear just fine, Wolfie!" Karl spat out while slamming his staff against the ground.

"How dare you insult our technology! We have built this out of nothing, and yet you spit on it, and praise your Cold War sloppy seconds CRAP as superior! I have said it once, and I'll say it again, I am not releasing that insulting, immoral, IDIOTIC SON OF A--" Another headache split Karl's skull. Karl started to drink more than the recommended dose of the green slime.

"Dear Leader, I do not think you should--" advised one of his guards.

"SHUT UP! Have you been cryogenically frozen for 70 years, only to find the great nation you created is ruled by IDIOTS?!"

"N-no, sir."

"EXACTLY! YOU HAVE NO RIGHT TO SPEAK! Get back in position."

"Y-yes, sir."

"Maven, why is it suddenly your business if I kill my own great-grandson? He is no family of mine! He is not married to any of his 'private models'! That breaks one of your ten commandments, if I recall! I shall set them free and have them put in less degrading jobs!"

"Our defenses can withstand any attack! The laser and plasma weapons are merely a new innovation, nothing beats our new non-electronic technology! It might not have a circuitboard, but it can still whoop your military's ass ten times over! Try to neat our new innovations on archaic technology!"

"Our country shall never surrender to SENTIENT FOOD!" Karl took out his lunch, a canister of blended chopped turtle and mushroom stew. "If you don't want energy, then we shall take this land by FORCE! GLORY TO AKWENISIA! GLORY TO THE LAND OF ETERNAL PEACE! Karl slammed his staff on the floor so forcefully, it shook the room. Maybe, that was just an illusion by the walls.

"Break time. We shall discuss this after. Take out lunch, do whatever you want, just under any circumstances, do not leave this building, and do NOT go into the basement. You may leave, come back in 45 minutes."

Once everybody was out of the room, Karl pulled one of his guards aside.

"Activate Nui's Sacrifice."

"Are you crazy?! Those robots haven't been tested in--"

"You DARE question a DIRECT ORDER?! Activate Nui's Sacrifice IMMEDIATELY!" Karl growled at the guard.

"Activating Nui's Sacrifice...."

Lieutenant Lefebvre rubbed the bridged of his nose, the initial display of arms by the Akwenisian President being quite troublesome to negotiations, though the reactions of the Turtleshroomian and Nexonian delegations seemed to only blatantly decapitate any chance of peaceful discussion. The meeting quickly turned from something that could have been formally resolved without issue, into that of a diplomatic nightmare; the Akwenisians with their attempts at intimidation, the Turtleshroomers with their constant seizing of lacking authority, ahd the Nexons who seemed to have simply declared war at that very moment. It was the worse situation that could have presented itself in any scenario, with the delegations present likely to declare nothing but total war against each other, much less leave the room in one piece.

"Please, with all due respect, let us calm hostilities just for a moment? This is a negotiation of civilized nations, not vultures quarrelling for newly-found flesh. May we at least try to make an attempt at peaceful negotiations before we begin brandishing our sabers and pistols?" Lefebvre stated, looking back towards the map, "This is a negotiation of the endeavors of Akwenisia, and its request for one of the largest expansions into Terrus Nullus within regional history, not about the affairs of the ruling family nor their personal quarrels. If you wish to formulate secondary agreements regarding the relief of such an individual, then that is fine, but our foremost priority is Akwenisian expansion, not to start another regional war amongst another one."

"President Karl Vladimir Il Sung, might I ask of you to refrain from such violent outbursts during the course of these negotiations? The regional delegations gathered within this room are some of the most powerful individuals representing their respective nations, of which some are of the most powerful nations within the region. The Commonwealth Navy maintains a fairly indifferent stance upon the actions of the Akwenisians, though another display such as your previous one, and we may waive our lenient behavior regarding your affairs." The Lieutenant spoke, maintaining a definite seriousness within his voice, "While your technological ability might be impressive, your current actions and mannerisms have demonstrated anything other than that of a first-world nation. Please, with all due respect, attempt to act like representatives of a civilized society - all of you."

The Lieutenant looked towards Commodore Winters, who simply offered a confirming nod towards his statements. The Akwenisian President, still visually shaken by the whole ordeal between delegations, called for a break within the negotiations. The Commonwealth Navy entourage, who seemed to have no argument towards such a decision, began to leave the room, the Lieutenant gracefully helping the Commodore up and out of the tensions within the building. Going back down to the lobby, Winters and Lefebvre offered nothing but a sigh of relief, both individuals seemingly at ease simply from moving away from the meeting room floor.

"Do not say I did not warn you beforehand, Commodore Winters. Personally, these negotiations alone make the entire War of Steel seem trivial in comparison; you could sit down with the Lynxcians and discuss terms over tea, without having to worry about whether or not you shall be leaving with additional lead within your body." Lieutenant Lefebvre shook his head, walking towards the Commonwealth motor cars parked out in front of the building.

"It was certainly... an experience, Lieutenant. I did not expect to be met with a show of force, especially with such a formal diplomatic occassion. Half those present within the negotiations seemed to be of bad cloth, without empathy, ready to spill blood at a moment's notice with no remorse!" Winters shouted, helping herself to some sweets she had brought along within the vehicle, "It was almost if everyone was ready to brandish arms and fight!"

Lieutenant Lefebvre simply shook his head, checking his hip to make sure his pistol and saber were still at his side.

"If worst comes to worst, Commodore Winters, me and the other Sky Guards shall see to it that you are safe and well. We might not be as well armed as the Turtleshroomers or Nexonians, but all it takes is one well-placed bullet, nothing special. King Outtacountry also has a point, the Commonwealth Navy is a significant force within the region, any attempts on our person shall be assumed as nothing less but the most horrific of offenses." Lefebvre noted, looking at his watch, "The Akwenisians were quite gracious with the time frame that they had provided us, though there is little we can do but wait for the meeting to continue. I would suggest briefing with the Turtleshroomers, who while South Landers, are probably the better part of those present. Besides, I would believe that we would be upon fond terms with the Turtleshroomers, considering our work within Litlin and your background, Commodore Winters."

"Ah, of course, Lieutenant. Send one of the men as envoy, it would be wise to speak with them about our terms with Akwenisia!" The Commodore smiled, slowly turning away from her Lieutenant and mutter, "I do not trust the Akwenisians to behave within complete good will..."

"What the heck dude?!' a Nexonan diplomat named Chung yelled at Chancellor Wolfz. Moments ago, they were using the urinals at the males' restroom. Suddenly they noticed each other. "You do realize that you just sound as if Nexon and not TurtleShroom are going to declare war on Akwenisia?" Chung said again. "Alright, I'll make my words more specific, Herr Chung," replied Wolfz.

After washing their hands, Chung and Chancellor Wolfz walked around the building. "Look, we need to achieve our aim here, which is to secure a position to allow our nation's capitalists to invest in this place," Wolfz said again. "Mhm, and you gotta be careful too. The current Akwenisian President sounds like a man with a bad temper. The wrong words will get you, King Outtacountry and Commodore Winters, but the right words might bring us money," Chung replied. "Alright look, I don't really get what the other two delegations want. We should, you know, get a clear insight at the terms first before continuing the meeting," Wolfz finally confessed. "Good idea, let's go," Chung replied as if he didn't care about the fact that Wolfz was not aware of the current situation. The two Nexonans, one a German Nexonan and the other a Chinese Nexonan, walked away to find the TurtleShroomers and Asahinans.

The turtle King was gravely offended by the canned food of his species and his fellow citizens' species on the table, and he pushed them off the table. He took a very deep breath, closed his eyes, and calmed himself down.

"No one is going to declare war on you, Your Excellency." he said, still having to force those two words out. This was one of the days where he wished he was human, so he could pinch the bridge of his nose.

"The honored Commissariat delegation is right. The matters of your family will be handled separately."

He looked back to the map.

"Your expansion into Terra Nullus- unclaimed land -is certainly ambitious, but nowhere enough to upset the balance of power, especially if there's a clearence for foreign investments from our great nations. She's right on that, that the land should be a separate matter. We'll discuss your family's ransom after this."

He smiled to the Aashinian delegation mouthing the words "thank you", at least doing the best he could, since he was without lips.

"Like I said at the start, your demands are reasonable and your agreement to the ancient Heritage Site is honorable. I trust you'll keep your word on that agreement. Anyway, yes, the land is yours, if the Commissariats and Nexonians see it fitting. God willing, this will end peacefully. I've learned a lot from my and my colleague's actions since the fall of the Japanese Dystopia, and as you can see, the security detail has done so too."

Keeping themselves to the main lobby, the Commonwealth Navy delegation were busy helping themselves to a late lunch, waiting for a response from their envoy towards the Turtleshroomers. Tinned meat, tinned hardtack, and tinned peaches were the servings for the day, marked with the addition of small candies and Turtleshroomian sweet tea, as per the Commodore's tastes. The Commonwealth Navy Sky Guard had always learned to prepare for any occassion, whether it was combat operations over the Navigatic Sea, or that of a relatively hostile diplomatic negotiation within an incredibly questionable country. Eating within silence, the Lieutenant turned his eye towards the Commodore, who was absent-mindedly prodding around her peach tin with a fork.

"Something the matter, Commodore Winters?" Lieutenant Lefebvre asked, "You seem rather preoccupied in thought."

"Hm? Oh, it's nothing, Lieutenant. I was just concerned with the affairs of the President's kin, that is all." Winters said, placing aside her tin, "King Outtacountry and Chancellor Wolfz seemed rather concerned with him, afterall, his condition did dominate the discussion of much of the negotiations."

"Do not tell me you are actually concerned for a highly incompetent leader more concerned with establishing his own harem instead of governing his nation? It is no concern of the Commonwealth Navy what becomes of him, Commodore Winters, and it should not be any major concern of ours." Lefebvre sternly noted, "Our only concerns at the moment are those that immediately effect ourselves, and that of the Commonwealth Navy. I would rather not risk another regional war by attempting to bother with some semi-charismatic half-wit that somehow found himself within leadership of a country!"

The Lieutenant slowly recoiled back into his seat, coming to the realization that he had just yelled at the Commodore - his superior - and also the adopted daughter of the most powerful person within the Commonwealth Navy. Taken back, Winters turned away, in shock that her loyal Lieutanent throughout her entire time within the South Lands had raised his voice at her in irritation, though she knew that he meant good will. The other guards, staring quietly, simply continued eating slowly as the mood within the room drifted into an awkward silence.

In the midst of their silence, a Nexonian approached them, stating that his superiors wished to discuss about the terms of the meeting.

"Ah, of course. Go forth, and have Chancellor Wolfz and the Nexonian delegates meet within this lobby. Tell them that Commodore Winters and the Commonwealth Navy delegation is waiting for them." The Lieutenant responded, "We have also dispatched an envoy to the Turtleshroomers, so the Nexonians can be expecting them to arrive shortly as well."

The Lieutenant, waiting for the Nexonian to leave, sighed deeply and shook his head. Arising from his seat, the Lieutenant withdrew his revolver, pulled the hammer to full-cock, and began walking towards the elevators. Commodore Winters, noticing this, turned to her Lieutenant in question.

"You know, Commodore Winters, you are right. The current negotiations have been largely bound to the condition of Mister Karl Vladmir Il Sung the Fourth. It would speed up negotiations significantly if the other delegations were aware and able to confirm his well-being. Then, we could be back off towards Litlin, and return to our normal affairs of business without worry." Lieutenant Lefebvre said, "When the Turtleshroomians and Nexonians assemble, please lay our clear and concise terms that will expedite the progress of these negotiations. Now, if you would excuse me, I must attend to the 'washrooms'."

Saluting, the Lieutenant made his way to the elevator, making his way to the 'washrooms' within the foundation of the building, revolver in hand. Commodore Winters, smiling and shaking her head, simply returned to consuming her tin of food, awaiting for the other delegates to present themselves. It was going to be a long day ahead of them.

Karl Vladimir Il Sung IV saw a light at the door.

"Jerry, I've shut up this time, please, don't whip me-- wait, is that somebody from that Commonwealth country with the navy? Whoops. Sorry. Lost my chrisma and mojo down here in this basement. Nice to see somebody other than Jerry!" Karl IV had visible streaks of blood and dirt across his face, as he is tied to a stake on a separate platform.

"I have a plan to get me out of here, and return everything to normal! I promise it'll work this time." Karl managed a slight smile, even in his desperate position.

"Listen. I am tied to this stupid stake with ropes. I cannot untie these ropes. However, you probably can, which is the good news! Replace these ropes with the black licorice in my shirt pocket. The guards will think I'm still tied up in this dark place. When the stake is elevated to the top floor, I break free of the licorice ropes, and somebody shoots my not-so-great-grandpa in the head! It's guaranteed to work! Unless he jumps out the window...actually, nevermind. It's guaranteed to work!" Karl IV sounds strangely happy.

"Now let's put this old kook into retirement!"

The Nexonan delegates were enjoying tea on a table, for they had their lunch prior to their arrival. Being too lazy to find the Commonwealth and TurtleShroomer delegations, Chancellor Wolfz and the diplomat named Chung found some Nexonan grunt to do the task instead. Wolfz looked into the cup of double espresso for a moment. While the German Nexonans were eating black forest cakes or German doughnuts, the Chinese Nexonans were eating egg tarts or soy beancurd, served with a fine cup of Oolong Tieguanyin. Chung was snuffing some tobacco, a habit that he developed two years ago.

"Mein Kanzler, Commodore Winters and her team of delegates want us to meet with them at the main lobby," the Nexonan grunt who was acting on Wolfz's order suddenly returned. Wolfz responded by giving the grunt several banknotes worth 35 Nehcoes. "Hurry up, gentlemen," Chung told the entire delegation. When they were finished, the Nexonan soldiers cleaned the place up, an easy task since they did little to no mess.

Out of a sudden, there was a bleeping noise that lasted for 2 seconds. A feminine voice spoke with an Estonian accent, "incoming transmission". Chancellor Wolfz took out a HPP (Hologram Projection Pod) from his suit. A 1.7 meter tall man sitting appeared. His facial features were not visible. The figure was covered in shadow. Wolfz placed the HPP in front of him and returned to his original position. The delegates kowtowed to the figure. "May Your Imperial Holiness grant us mercy!", the entire delegation said in unison. A slight nod in approval came from him.

"Chancellor Wolfz, how is the meeting going?", the figure said with a deep and menancing voice. "Your Imperial Holiness, it is not going well. The Eternal President of Akwenisia Karl Vladimir Il Sung the First refused to release his deposed great-grandson the former President of Akweinisia Karl Vladimir Il Sung the Fourth. He also refused to give us the rights to mine for minerals or build factories at his new land," Wolfz replied in slight fear. "I notice," the Emperor ended the second word with some stress and waited for about six seconds before continuing his statement. "Report the current situation to me, Chancellor." "Eternal President of Akwenisia Karl Vladimir Il Sung ordered for a break that lasts for 45 minutes. It is still break time. We are meeting up with the Commonwealth and TurtleShroomer delegations at the main lobby to discuss about terms," Wolfz satisfied his Lord's demand. "Well then, keep your Hologram Projection Pod on. I want to be involved in the discussion of terms with the other delegates and the meeting with the revived mortal," the figure commanded. Wolfz held the HPP in front of him and started walking to the main lobby, followed by the other delegates, all dressed in a black suit, shirt and red tie.

Lieutenant Lefebvre stared at the pitiful example of a man, brought underneath a terrifyingly serious situation, yet still contently thinking of asinine plans for assassination. He was unsure of whether to be impressed or otherwise absolutely disappointed for the man, the supposed true leader of Akwenisia, even going so far as wondering if leaving him imprisoned would be a better option for all involved. Deepingly sighing, the Lieutenant withdrew his short saber, offering a swift cut to the man's bindings.

"I was sent down here because the delegations were heavily concerned around your well-being, though it appears that you happen to be fine as far as any inflicted injuries are concerned. That out of the way, I shall be taking my leave now." Lefebvre said, handing his revolver to the man, "Neither myself nor the Commonwealth Navy shall serve as an accomplice towards this plot of assassination. If you wish to bring death to your great-grandfather, then that is none of our concern. The Commonwealth Navy is only present here to safeguard their own interests, that is all, but godspeed to your endeavors."

Sheathing his blade, the Lieutenant made his way to the elevator, pressing the button for the ground floor. Walking back to the Commonwealth Navy delegation, the many of whom were busy discarding their various tins, the Lieutenant offered a solemn nod to Commodore Winters.

"Mister Kim Vladimir Il Sung the Fourth, though somewhat roughed up, is perfectly fine by all other accounts." Lefebvre stated, "He decided to stay hidden until the negotiations ceased, so we do not need to display any further concern for the condition of the... 'gentleman', Commodore Winters."

"Thank you, Lieutenant, it means alot to me." The Commodore smiled, turning to address the now arriving Nexonian delegation, "Good to see that you received word, Chancellor Wolfz, we'll begin our discussion of the current terms as soon as the Turtleshroomian delegation arrives..."
