Darion arrived in King's Landing in the middle of the night, so as to surprise the Princess when she awoke to find him in the embassy. He had been forced to travel by boat, which had saddened him as he wished that Chrysophylax was big enough to ride. He quickly headed towards what looked to be the embassy and pushed open the door to find the front desk unmanned, which surprised him greatly. He decided that he might as well wait for someone and sat in a nearby corner with Chrsophylax, who was the size of a large dog. He sat and cleaned off the dirt from some of the scales to maintain the white of the dragon and started talking to him.

After identifying himself as a member of the King's Guard of New Valyria he is shown to quarters for the evening so that he could get rest before the next morning. The servant offers to take his dragon to the stable if he didn't wish to keep it in his chambers. Whatever his decision he was told the Princess occupied the room across the hall and told no one to disturb her unless they enjoyed digging in the gold mines of Little Valyria.
The night gives way to morning and Darion can hear the Princess leave her chambers. Instead of heading to the main hall where breakfast was certain to be served she was heading back towards the stables where her dragon Caeliphon was. The Dragon was enormous and occupied the largest of the available stalls for a Dragon. Baela would visit her dragon every morning before going to eat Breakfast. In the great hall, there were several Valaryon family members, who were all cousins to Baela. Darion would have met that at some point in his time at the Valyrian Court.

The Red Keep
Cassana was sitting in a hall of the red keep wearing an immaculate and lavish gown of bright gold (it was the first time since Robert's death that she wasn't wearing mourning clothes) as Lyonel walked into the room.
"Greetings Lyonel!" she called happily, breaking her fast on rich fruits from far away lands, much different from the simple eggs and bacon that the hand of the king had chosen to eat. "I was just talking to our dearest relative," she said clearly meaning Eddard, "about the benefits of taking a wife." she spoke softly and slowly but her way of speaking suggested that she had been unsuccessful. "perhaps you could way in on this?"

Valyrian Embassy, King's Landing
Baela was confused, "Wait my Uncle sent a member of his King's Guard to protect me?" She looked at her dragon, "I figured no one would dare attack me if they didn't want to burn alive. Caeliphon is big enough to break out of the Dragonpit if she wanted to and she is very protective of me. Though, now that I think of it. Having a young Valyrian Knight at my side may help smooth things out. Afterall, I came here without any household guards on a simple errand and now I find myself the future Lady of Dragonstone. It's only a matter of time before I get elected as Triarch at this rate. Either way one of the Valaryon boys will be escorting me to the Red Keep. You are of course welcome to come as is Chrysophylax, it just wouldn't feel right walking into Aegon's Keep without a dragon."
In her head she thought I was going to have both of the Valaryon boys escorting me, but a King's Guard is more protection than a newly minted Knight. Then out loud, "Well then, we have a meeting with the Lord Hand Lyonel Baratheon and then a meeting with the Small Council. Lead on with your dragon, it should keep the peasantry away from us as we make our way to the Red Keep."
Allowing Darion to lead them to the Red Keep Baela was content to follow. She had dressed up in her armor and they were soon met by two Knights wearing the Bright Blue cloaks of House Valaryon. A brief exchange later and the oldest of them joined the procession to the Red Keep. The younger, remained behind with Ambassador Vaekar to help supervise the "servants". It was a poorly kept secret that the Servants at the Valyrian Embassy were actually slaves from the Pleasure Gardens of Lys or from the households of wealthy Myrish families. They were the most suited to the domestic lifestyle of a servant in Westerosi style and were given much greater freedom at the Embassy than they would in Valyria, of course, the Ambassador was known to utilize their other functionalities from time to time.
