Eastern Malafaqüm just after sunset.

The sound of the Shofar echoes across the city of Malafaqüm as the whole city falls into silence. It is time. It is now the time of Yaramaqui to begin to fall back to it's original splendor. 24 hours remain until the Current Yaramaquese Government shuts down and is replaced by a monarchy, which is what the Yaramaquese have been waiting for 197 years.

The Queen rubbed her eyes as she looked out of the window of her personal jet. Her eyes ached after watching cat videos for the long, 12-hour flight from Alesund to Malafaqum. "Your majesty, we are approaching Yaramaqui, would you like something to drink" a flight attendant asked her "I think i'm fine thank you, though" Fionna said as she looked out of the window. As the plane rolled past verdant fields and jungles, ancient towns hundreds of years old filled with ancient churches, mosques, and archaeological wonders that were characteristic of Yaramaqui.

In a few hours, the plane flew over the outskirts of Malafqum, the Queen glanced out over the elegant city. The ancient city was buzzing with activity, cars clogged the streets as thousands of people walked around the lush city full of parks and greenery. Ancient buildings dating back to the Renaissance stood alongside sleek, modern buildings as trolleys drove through the packed and busy streets, picking up tons of people with each stop. The Golden Dome of the Cathedral glimmered in the sunlight as Fionna glanced outside of her window. "Welcome to Yaramqui, this is your pilot speaking, we are currently approaching the Malafaqum International Airport, thank you flying ArcticAirlines and have a pleasant visit" The Queen got her luggage and stepped out of the plane with an attendant carrying her bags as she stepped outside into the hot, ancient city of Malafaqum

The airplane, with on board the king, was on its way towards Malafaqüm. The middle aged man who rarely went outside his country was going to Yaramaqui to celebrate the new monarchy. He sat in his chair and read a book, he had no idea what the title was, or even what it was about, but he could read so it made him happy. Later in the flight he ran in to "sciency" words, he took a good look at the book and discovered that it was his old biology book from when he was still in middle school.

He looked out of his window and saw the lights the plane was passing over, he took his phone and discovered that he was flying just above Yaramaqui's northern coast. He was almost in Malafaqüm. Distracted by his phone he went on the internet and looked up the words he could not recognize. Moments later he went to the next page, which was a new chapter about reproduction. It had a naked man and women on it. He came to the conclusion that he did not want to get caught looking at reproductive organs so he closed the book and looked through the window. Some time passed, and he saw a bunch of lights. This could only mean one thing: Malafaqüm. He stood up and went to the bathroom, when he came back he sat down and the plane landed on the airport. The aircraft taxied to the location it was ordered to go.

The door was opened by one of the stewardesses and he stepped out of the plane...

USO Flight 11573

James Kerman sat in his plane as it flew over the continent. Looking up at the screen in the plane he could see he was nearly half an hour from his destination. Taking out his tablet he checked his work. The USA was going his way, for whatever reason. It seemed other nations would not vote nay on the resolutions and would instead abstain. He smiled. He new this task would be much more than just fanfare. Yaramaquese diplomats expressed interest in forming some sort of union on their continent. Looking back the plan was on its last limbs. Revolutions and goverment changes on the continent were changing the landscape of the affair. Maybe they only needed a suggestion.

Looking out over the city James Kerman put his tablet back and enjoyed the view. He never visited this nation before. Hundreds of years ago the Empire once ruled a sliver of land. They failed. A testament to the failings of Imperialism. Mr. Kerman enjoyed the flight in. He would represent the USJR and the USO in their prestigious affair.

“Madam what’s wrong?” asked the stewardess. President Aswalt took off her glasses and wiped them with her shirt. “It’s nothing.”
“Oh. Okay, sorry madam President.”
“It’s fine.”
Erin had start to loathe her job. Originally, it felt good to be able to help her country but now it was stressful and took away her family time. Her husband and her three kids stayed home for her youngest daughter’s 8th birthday party. Her eldest daughter had begged to join her mother, she hadn’t seen her for awhile. Erin and Kylie never talked much, Erin too busy with work and Kylie too busy with school. However, Erin said no, the children of world leaders were not suppose to come. It wouldn’t be formal Erin had said. And Erin was all about formalities because she was an extremely serious person. By now Erin’s guilt had built up, she had missed her daughter’s birthday party, but at least she finished her 2nd term. Her party and supporters had praised her performance, believing Erin was the best president in ages, one of the best women alive in Oblaren. In Erin’s eyes if she couldn’t even make time to watch her children grow up, she was the worst woman in Oblaren. Erin bucked up as the plane began to land

The stewardess left Erin and walked into the back off the plane. “Does she know I’m here?” a girl asked. “No, but madam I don’t think this is a good idea. Your mother will not approve of your running away. Your father was upset when you had him on the line earlier. Are you sure you don’t want to stay hidden and return with us?” Kylie looked up from her computer game “I’m sure.”

Flight to Yaramaqui:

Naturnius was a young and fresh Reason Party member, and capable of making friends with enemies. He wanted to make good relations with the new Yaramaquese government, and would attend their new king's coronation. No matter how much he wanted to, he found he could neither remember nor pronounce their new king's name. He would have to try, to prevent from embarrassing himself. The flight had been delayed by a severe thunderstorm with large-sized hail, which still prevented modern aircraft, and a challenge Zanerian engineers were facing. He soon arrived at the airport, and proceeded to the king's coronation. He hoped he would not be late.

12 nm from the coast of Yaramaqui

Chancellor Richard Livington looked out from the bridge through a pair of binoculars. A large port was just coming over the horizon and the outline of skyscrapers could be seen. The trip from Aznazia to Yaramaqui was rather short considering that it took only a ship ride over to reach the nation. Relations between Yaramaqui and Aznazia were on the rise. A A$ 32 billion trade agreement had just recently been established and it seemed to the Chancellor that more relations would benefit both nations.

12nm from the coast is were the international waters end and Yaramaquese waters began. The Captain of the Osborne walked over to the communication officer and told him to send the pre-written message.

The Chancellor of Aznazia has arrived to celebrate the coronation of Musar Shlomo-Sahadí Yri Issachar Yihye HaYohudah Ayri Gamliel Hayyim.  We wish to pass through your territorial waters to reach port and offload 3 armored vehicles (with no mounted weapons) that will drive the Chancellor and his security team to Zayyadim Hotel.

Once the clearance was given the crew readied to enter the Port in their Class-A uniforms since they were making a stop in a foreign port. The vehicles inside the helicopter bay were driven onto the helipad where they would wait to be offloaded for the Chancellor and his security team.

The entire crew, the Chancellor, and his security team now have clearance to dock at the Mazuz Port in at the Northern Coast of Northwestern Malafaqüm were one would only need to travel a short distance south directly to the Zayyadim Hotel.

"Why thank you" Fiona replied thankfully as she helped the man unload her baggage into the car. Fiona then stepped into the car and yawned. She was exhausted after the 12-hour flight was in no good shape. Her eyes had bags under them and her back ached from sitting up straight in a 12-hour flight from Alesund to Malafaqum.

The Chauffeur politely closed the door next to the Lindian King, then entered the car. Then slowly began to drive west towards the hotel. He pulled out a small wired microphone by his mouth and began to speak in Yaramaquese. "Yardukti, Yardukti, Tahel Mehr-l" which is a signal for security guards to follow a vehicle. About 3 vehicles surrounded the vehicle the Lindian King and the Chauffeur were in. "Are you excited about the coronation of the new king?" asked the chauffeur.

"How was your flight?" He asked.

"Good, i'm a bit tired, I am excited for the new coronation" Fionna said as the car sped by sleek, modern buildings crammed next to beautiful Rennaisance-era apartments. The streets were lined with plam trees as cars and ordinary pedestrians rushed by, by the thousands. The sun shined upon the city as the sound of beeping cars, busy pedestrians and the cool breeze outside resonated above the cacophony of activity. The city seemed like it had recovered from the war, however, once in a while a few buildings still under reconstruction were visible. It's amazing how well Yaramaqui has recovered. Thought Fionna as the car sped down the street amongst cars, vans, trucks, and such.

As the sun slowly began to ascend to the horizon the life of Malafaqüm began to show up. People sang and danced across the streets , playing traditional Yaramaquese music, and much more. They soon began to arrive at the old quarter of the city, driving on the bumpy, cobblestone marble roads coming to witness with the more traditional side of Malafaqüm. The scent of sweet frankincense was in the air and electricity was much less prevalent in this part of the city. Oil lanterns were lit the streets and people were wearing very traditional clothing. "We are almost there." he said with a smile. "Within 10 minutes we should arrive at the Zayyadim Hotel".

"Good" Fionna said, looking around the city centre. Ancient buildings stood proudly, slowly crumbling as thousands of people walked the ancient streets. Towering cathedrals and synagogues with glittering golden domes and belfrys stood illuminated in the evening sky as street performers danced on the streets to the delight of the hundreds of pedestrians nearby, cars honked overhead, as the sounds of merchants selling and advertising their wares in a nearby market rose above the chaotic cacophony of noise. The sleek, modern building of the modern districts contrasted sharply with the ancient and chaotic old town in the evening sky, as the city came to life. Soon, after about a few minutes of wandering through the city's ancient streets, Fionna caught a glimpse of the massive Malafaqüm cathedral. A massive church with intricate patterns and Islamic motifs covered the building, as it's golden dome stood illuminated, shrouded by fog as a nearby park burst with lush, verdant greenery.

A very tall man wearing a head covering approached Naturnius then bowed down in respect. "Hello, Welcome to Yaramaqui! I will be your chauffeur for the night. I will take you to the Zayyadim Hotel were you will rest for the night, for the king's coronation tomorrow morning. May I take your bags please?"

"Oh, yes, you may," replied Naturnius. "Zanera has had a tradition of trying the local cuisine. Are there any restaurants you would recommend?"

As the driver spoke, Fionna shifted uncomfortably towards the window to see the exact site her ancestors sacked centuries ago "Quite interesting, I do find ancient Yaramaquese architecture quite fascinating" she said awkwardly, observing the scene. The massive ruins were on a small, grassy hill the about the size of a football field overlooking the ancient city. As tourists gawked at the ruins, six, massive marble pillars stood proudly in front of the hordes of tourists as a collection of ruined walls scattered about the site. The shining dome of the Malafqum cathedral shone brightly in the fog, as the sun's piercing rays of light illuminated the landscape in a brilliant golden hue. Near the massive pillars were the ruins of a large, rectangular building with a splendid mosaic of the Star of David lay above the doorway. Then, Fionna remembered visiting the Sunalayan Museum of International Art back Alesund and recalled seeing a throne in the Yaramaqui wing. The throne, which belonged to one of the fabled old kings of Yaramaqui was a splendid golden chair inlaid with gems, overlaid with gold, and originally stood in the Yaramaquese Royal Palace until the Vikings ruthlessly sacked and massacred the city. The traffic jam then eased as the thousands of cars finally moved, and as the car passed the ruins, Fionna finally saw the hotel in view. Fit in between ancient buildings dating as far back a the Middle Ages, the hotel was a sleek, elegant modern hotel that starkly contrasted with the surrounding landscape.

A young woman stood outside, in front of the main door of plane holding a large sign that says: "PRESIDENT ASWALT". She awaited for the president to get out.

Oblarenite 1

An armed guard of 12 elite AMAT soldiers stood around President Aswalt as she walked toward the young woman. “Hello, there, I am President Erin Aswalt. I believe you are looking for me.”

As they spoke a Humvee fleet of three (with out mounted guns) was being readied for use. Kylie slipped out of the plane and scurried over to a Humvee and climbed in. An AMAT soldier who was the drive and looked back confused to she her. He said “Are you the president’s kid?”
“Yea.”
“Thought so, I’ve seen many of your mom’s speeches. And I sometimes see the kids in the background. She let you come?”
“More or less.”
“That’s a no then.”
“Sir, don’t worry about it, she’ll warm up to it.”
The man laughed. “Officers never warm up to sneaky stuff. You will have to see how your mom reacts. Your name’s Kylie or something right?”
“Yes sir. And yours sir”
The man’s face went serious.“That’s classified miss.” But then he erupted into laughter. He put out his hand “Name’s James Brody. Corporal Brody. And as you might know I have to tell my sergeant you’re here.”
“Darn.”
“Sorry its protocol.”
Corp. Brody picked up his radio and called his sergeant.

(OOC: going to skip the call to land and stuff. I don't think it is needed anymore)

Queen Diana flew alone in her plane. She had no assistants, or guards or soldiers near her. She felt that this visit would be best if she went alone. Just like how the president of Rhodevus left Yaramaqui in the 1800s, after granting it independence. Now, a monarch will return to the great country in order to witness its own transition into a monarchy.
The plane circled, then landed softly on the runway.

Diana exited the aircraft and walked through the airport. Even though she was queen, she was still smart enough to know when it was safe to dress the part. No matter the country, airports are not the place. She wore normal clothes from Rhodevus, and blended into the tourist crowds, before hopping into a taxi. "Zayyadim Hotel please." Diana asked the driver in rusty Yaramaquese. It had been a while since she spoke this language, and was hoping to get good practice before she left.

The taxi drive nodded then began to drive. As night fell upon the city of Malafaqüm the city looked a lot more lively. People were singing and dancing in the streets. When entering crossing the strait of Malafaqüm into the Old City of Malafaqüm, the sounds of Yaramaquese Music echo across the narrow corridors of the cobblestone marble streets. The notorious Golden Dome of the great house of worship came into view. Its dome shined in the white lights surrounding it. As the taxi moved closer to it the scent of frankincense in the air strengthened, the complicated Moorish-influenced Zellige (very complicated, colorful geometric mosaics) patterns came into view on the buildings walls, and along the base of the golden dome. As the car drove uphill past the Golden Dome, what appears to be a long straight cliff face came into view. The taxi came through a very dark tunnel gently sloping upwards until arriving at the Upper Old City. To the right of the taxi, the ruins of the more ancient city of Malafaqüm that was destroyed by the Arctic Vikings. Large architecturally picturesque pillars proudly stood in the ruins alongside the remains of walls, houses, synagogues, markets, synagogues, and much more. In the distance to the left side of the car, one could see the Zayyadar Palace complex, the future home of the king. A living reminder of the Rhodeve presence among the Yaramaquese land. The Modern, luxurious hotel came into view due to its sharp contrast among its more ancient, primitive surroundings. "We are almost there" said the taxi driver in Yaramaquese.

James Kerman

After landing the President gathered his things. His plane would be refueled and resupplied for the long trip home. It was very far away. Meanwhile the man went to clear customs and get his transportation arranged to the hotel.

"Thank you." Diana said, once more in Yaramaquese. She loved looking at the buildings created by the Rhodeve Empire. It was easy to tell which ones where built during that time period, since all Rhodeve buildings had large open windows and dark red roofs.

The taxi pulled up to the curb of the Zayyadim Hotel. Diana opened the door and stepped out, before handing the driver a few NSD, preferring to stick with the universal currency instead of any specific ones. She took out her suit case from the trunk and let out a deep breath, before walking through the roundabout doors and into the beautiful hotel.
