But a big shot politician who is notorious for being politically correct said "Well we have a set of rules and regulations for greeting new immigrants! Don't want to offend them now do you?" you just stand there and stare at him in disbelief and even disgust"

We are always politically correct, just not when it comes to slavery. Strangely it is the example of us not being politically correct that gets the most uproar.

Courtesy and hospitality are important tenets in Darussian society, especially to the 'guests' as long as said guests are unarmed, even if they happen to be culturally inferior barbarians. Political correctness is important for the maintenance of public figures' images. For normal people, courtesy and manners are valued highly.

Of course there are enclaves of urban liberals who would prefer a more politically correct society but these people are the exception not the norm and are often perceived as being deeply unpleasant people by most Alizerians.
