The credit for the central plot idea of this RP goes to my good friend Tomia. Also I don't know how to mark the map since I found it on the Internet and didn't make it myself so it won't be used to chart kingdom locations but it is there because most people would say that the map is easier to RP with. Anyway, I'll put up a list of races later but the main ones are humans, different types of elves, orcs and dwarves. Tomia is my co-op now so his word and mine are the same.

Map of Pangden: Image

The Heroes of Pangden: The Dark Ones
The world of Pangden, a world filled with mystery, magic, gods and wonder. Some say it was formed in an explosion, others say it was creaed by the gods. Still others say that it rose up out of the ocean or was formed by magic. Or even volanic fire. To be honest, nobody really knows the true story but all they know is that one day this land was there and gradually it was settled by all manners of races, dwarves, elves, humans, shifters and other races. After years of wars against the kingdoms of this expansive land and against the monsters and dark gods, peace was finally won after the Centurion Wars, which raged for 100 years and were finally stopped by the legendary Heroes Guild, a group of skilled legendary warriors bestowed by the gods with powers to keep the peace and to actually kill gods and demons, they were the peacekeepers of the realms, the protectors, the warriors, the saviors. For many years, peace and order was maintained and life was good, until one of these trusted Heroes turned rogue. This person, known only as the Dark Centurion turned from the path of Light and got into dark magic, and when apprehended escaped to the far North where it is presumed that this former Hero is summoning an army of monsters, demons and dark gods and is recruiting shadow mages and others to their cause to do their bidding in order to reek havoc on Pangden once more by summoning Kyzar, the ultimate god of evil and force of destruction. This group henceforth is known as the Dark Ones, the opposite of the Heroes. Because of this person's betrayal, many of Pangden's citizens lost faith in the Heroes, but the Heroes Guild knows that in order to defeat this evil, new Heroes must be trained, recruited and grouped together to save the world from darkness and destruction. You must choose, will uyou be on the side of the Heroes or the side of evil? Will you help save the world or destroy it, it's all up to you.

Okay, here are the rules: Respect me as the OP along with any co-op I choose, sex is PG-13 only and only if your character is 15 or above, keep OOC discussions in the OOC if you don't mind, respect each other and no OP powers. And this is an absolute MUST, if you wish to play a major kingdom TG me IMMEDIATELY. Also if you'd like to make a character in another player's family, ask them first. Besides all that boring legal stuff, this is a fantasy RP so the most important rule is to have ful, or else. The gods in this RP CAN DIE, so if you play one you can be killed just like Frigga in the Dark World. Gods, unlike humans can be reincarnated but this process takes ten years so basically you'll be dead for the whole RP if you're bumped off during the course, aka final battle.

The Empire of Kakyuzu- A large, wealthy, East Asian-esque empire stretching across a great deal of the eastern part of the continent, it is considered the cultural center of Pangden and famous for its poets, mages, musicians and artists. Its biggest imports are silks, textile des, gold, silver, precious mtals and gems making it one of the richest kingdoms in all of Pangden, boasting significant populations of all races. The culture is a mix of ancient China, Japan, and Korea with some fantasy twists thrown in. A peaceful land under a strict and effective management system to crack down on crime and corruption, however it does boast a strong military with their navy being considered one of the best in the continent. This kingdom will be played by me.

Albion- A Middle Age-Renaissance type kingdom, this northern island nation is large and prosperous with an English-Viking type culture. Their navy is the best on Pangden and the kingdom is very prosperous due to its trade routes by sea and because of the rich waters and soils that yield valuable and profitable goods. Its people are rugged, hardy and proud of their heritage and their ruler. Their seafarin tradition runs deep in their veins and many children especially boys learn to sail at a young age. Albion boasts some of the toughest sailors and warriors although they are also a diplomatic and peaceful kingdom. TAKEN BY TOMIA

Republic of Gandera
This southern kingdom, ruled by a Prime Minister and an elected cabinet of twelve officials known as The People's Council of Twelve, this elven realm has advanced magic and technology for its time and is home to many scholar-mages, artisans, craftsmen and healers. A member of the Twelve is elected every twenty years, and the Prime Minister elected every fifty years. Men and women are allowed to vote and participate in elections as soon as they reach the elven majority age of 40, when most elves reach maturity. The Ganderans are powerful mages and archers, their crafted bows are highly sought after. PLAYED BY HIPPIE KIWIS

Pen'daii-
The kingdom of the Orcs, the base of this mostly nomadic kingdom is in the deep south where the forest is thickest and darkest. Their leader is a Tarlook, or Chieftain, and the position is often passed down from father to eldest son although the title is won by the best warrior in the tribeand is won in the Khyber Duel, when a warrior challenges the current Tarlook. It is often a duel to the death and if the challenger bests the chieftain, the challenger becomes the new Tarlook.

Tierran
The dwarven kingdom built in the mountainous western region and is ruled by the Dwarven King, they are quite wealthy due to the precious metals and gems that are often found in the bases of the mountains into which they carve their cities. Despite being a rough people, they are also very cultured and are renowned warriors, jewelry crafters, metalsmiths and weapon makers.

Elnaria
The elven monarchy, this northern kingdom is home to the Snow-Elves and Moon-Elves, they are well adapted to surviving their consistently snowy and Arctic environment and have turned snow into paradise in their own unique Elven way. This kingdom, whose main export is Moon Crystal which can only be found in northern Elnaria is ruled from the capital city of Firinel by the Elven King or Queen.TAKEN BY THE STARLIGHT

Mawlay
An Arabic-Egyptian and Mughal Indian style desert nation of nomadic humans, they are renowned cavaliers(horsemen) and their horsemanship skills earned them a place on the world map. Spices, iron and weapons are their major exports and they are ruled by a Shiekah, their name for their king. There has never been a female Shiekah in the history of Mawlay, and although daughters can inherit equally with sons, warrior rulers are preferred and usually women are not trained in warfare as the men are.

The Arcanic Empire of Loray
Another large empire, although not as large as the Kakyuzu Empire. This empire is western, and stretches quite a distance. Thanks to the policies made by their frugal ruler and because of the platinum ore and, marble and gems which they have in abundance it is a very wealthy state. They are a highly magical state with the chief Archmage ranking only second to the Emperor or Empress. Daughters inherit on equal footing with the sons and the primogeniture is absolute although it is mostly a patriarchal society. It is a magical place with the largest mage school on the continent, the Arcane Academy of Archmages, only the best are even allowed in. This empire boasts world-renowned cratsmanship and the architecture is awe-inspiring. Many of the buildings are a mixture of Elven and Dwarven architecture although humans are the dominant race of this country. The buildings in the capital city of Lorelia are mostly pale in color, ranging from dark cream to bright white to silver, giving the city the nickname of the Pearl of Pangden. Since magic is preferred above all weapons, this empire's warriors are mostly mages and their weapons department and non magic military is lacking. THIS KINGDOM WILL BE PLAYED BY ME AS WELL.

The Khyber Imperial Palace, the Loray Empire
Empress Leticia Valen I

Inside one of the grand palace's offices, a woman of twenty-seven years sat at her desk going over new reports from provinces, official documents and even some audience requests. Politics was her affair, as the ruler of an empire of three million people it was never easy, but ruling came naturally to her. Leticia Valen, Empress of all the Loray Empire was a very busy woman and a hard worker, but she also loved fun. With the looming threat of the Dark Ones ever present to all of Pangden however there was hardly any time for rest, still it was the duty of a ruler to try their best for their people and that was exactly what she was goin g to do. Suddenly, there was a knock at the beautifully carved double doors leading to the elegant chamber. "Come in." the empress answered, looking up from the papers she was drawing up. The doors opened and a man came in dressed in the armor of a Loray battle mage. The mages of Loray were some of the strongest in the world, their magic school was the most prestigious on the continent and the empire was famous for their magic. "Your majesty, I have the latest reports of the movements of the Dark Ones as you requested." "This is what other reports from around the world and from our spies have come up with." the man said, stroking his short brown beard. Leticia sat up a bit more in her chair, the tiny rubies glinting in her huge curly bouffant of blonde hair and her honey brown eyes looked interested but pained at the same time. She adjusted the elaborate feathered headdress she wore. The empress had a great love for fine headdresses as well as rare jewels and wasn't ashamed to flaunt her collection. Though she hated wasting gold and never liked to spend much money on them, thats why most of them were gifts. "Good, we need to know all we can to stop them." "They've ruined many lives, including..." It was too painful to talk about. "Your sister?" the man asked. Leticia, or Tish as she was nicknamed was never even supposed to be empress although she had the better hand for it. The heir was her beloved twin Anna, they had been close before she was kidnapped and turned evil. Then she ran away to join the Dark Ones, not a day went by that the empress didn't miss her sister and she vowed to bring her back home.

Himeji Palace, the Empire of Kakyuzu,
Queen-Empress Haneul

"Thank you Fujimira, you are dismissed for today." the voice of a young woman spoke from a carved and gilded throne. Her long black hair flowed nearly to her ankles but was kept up in the elaborate style of the noblewomen of her empire, decorated with gilded and jeweled pins along with red silk tassels symbolizing good luck and long life. She wore a pink and silver hanbok decorated with gold thread and sat tall and proud in the throne room. It, like most of the palace was decorated with silk hangings and jade sculptures and other things that symbolized the Empire. Queen-Empress Haneul, who was named after heaven in the language of her empire was the eldest child of five daughters of the previous king-emperor. Of course at first he was disappointed that he had no son to succeed him, but Haneul proved herself to be a capable and precocious person and so then the emperor felt safe about leaving the empire in his daughter's hands. Her unmarried sisters lived with her, the married ones lived in enarby palaces with their husbands and although she had a busy ruler's schedule, Haneul made a point tovisit her family with the free time she had. She had been trained with a sword an as well as being an intelligent ruler and warrior she was also a mage. Although not a super-mage since sit wasn't very emphasize, she knew her way around a fireball. Now she was tudying this Heroes' Guild, a group fromed to fight the evil Dark Ones who were threatening their land. Anbody could train, but they had to have the stuff to do it. Many times she thought of training, if she could help her empire and the world she'd take the chance.

A merchant city somewhere in Mawlay,
Anna Valen

The young woman sitting in the shadow of a large and spacious cave was unused to the billowing desert winds as well as the high and hot temperatures of this nomadic kingdom land. And all the sand, all the gods damned forsaken sand nearly drove her nuts. However she had to bear it if her plan was to work. She was the head Archmage of the Dark Ones, second in command to only the Centurion himself who lived in the frigid North. Her specialty was shadow magic and she was an expert at it, working to perfect her dark art every day. Her long silver hair flowed unbound to her feet and with her pale flawless skin it made her look like a living ice nymph. She had sharp blood-red always lined with dark makeup and her face and arms were marked with runes, the runes of the Dark Elves. She didn't mind being alone, she would get her revenge on all those who wronged her and take her rightful place on the throne of Loray, her sniveling sister didn't have the birthright to rule. Anna used to be the crown princess of the Loray Empire, heiress tot he throne and twin sister to the current Empress. Her life seemed perfect, she got along with ehr family and had wanted for nothing, until one day she was taken from the sprawling palace she called her home. When she came back she felt different, powerful. She had tapped into her dark magic and it made her fel fantasic, she felt like she could rule the world despite the pain it sometimes left her in. She was taken to a mage and found out a shocking secret. Her mother had been unfaithful, she was not the emperor's child at all but of an elf working for the Dark Ones. Her real father had taken her away and initiated her, the writing pain of an eight year old child and the shock and fearful blue eyes were eplaced by a strong, hard and vengeful elven woman. The emperor, the man she despised and whom she thought was her father banished her from her kingdom and stole her throne, but she got her revenge. The old fool had met his end, and soon the entire empire and vengeance would be hers.

Mount Parna, Kakyuzu Empire
Chantico, Goddess of Volcanoes and Fire

Chantico sat inside her obsidian throne, admiring the beauty of her volcanic palace although not many of her brothers and sisters would find it beautiful. The solid rock walls and the rivers of flowing lava made her feel safe as it was closest to the center of the earth where she had been conceived and then her violent birth through a volcanic eruption that occured during the Great Winter when her twin sister the snow goddess Inyel was born, fire was her element and she got very angry when it didn't get treated with the respect that it deserved. Fire was a nurturing as well as a destructive force, and she ahd taught humans to harness fire to keep themselves warm. Her lusty, curvaceous figure and large bust was draped in crimson red that was striking against her tanned brown skin, her long hair that resembled living fire nearly blended in with the hot molten lava that she lived around. She was normally a warm, motherly and nurturing goddess just like the fire that she so treasured. But like the wild fires, she had a temper. If there was one deity that you didn't want to get pissed off, it was Chantico. Inyel, as goddess of snow and ice got aggressive when she was angry but Chanti when she was angry blew her top, literally. If you've ever seen a volcano violently erupt, that's all Chantico's doing. She was easily given over to passions and emotions, unlike her cooler and more rational older twin. And if a volcano starts to smoke, Chantico's excited or contemplating something. She and Inyel although they loved each other were opposites in most ways. But they were both fiercely protective of loved ones and their patrons, Inyel treasured the nothen Elf kingdom of Elnaria and Chanti, although she loved all life the Kakyuzu had a special place in her heart. After thinking for a bit, the goddess got up and stretched before streaking across the sky in a ball of fire like a shooting star or comet. She wold go to the North and pay a visit to Inyel.

Aldrean Tiberin
Aldrean had grown to dread falling asleep. For the last year he had been subjected to vivid dreams and nightmares. He didn't know why they were happening, but they always happened. He would often see scenes of massive battles between forces he couldn't recognize. He would often see himself depicted in the battle, fighting desperately against horrific demons and monsters. The dream then suddenly changed and he saw a young blonde woman sitting at a desk in an imperial looking office. She was wearing a crown, so Aldrean assumed she was royalty but he didn't know who she was. "Find her, find the first hero" A voice called to him. Aldrean had no idea who was speaking or who this woman was. Soon he woke up, more confused than usual.
The Dark Centurion
The Centurion sat on his throne in his massive fortress in the north. It was the only thing for miles in the large snowy tundra. The fortress was made of obsidian and black ice reinforced with dark magic. The fortress was the home of the dark ones who were dedicated to the destruction of the heroes guild, and the raising of Kyzar who would give them ultimate power. The Centurion would become the most powerful person in the world and the Heroes Guild would burn at his feet. Soon a large black specter appeared before the Centurion who bowed before him. He was a demon summoned to serve the Dark Ones. "My lord, you called for me?" The Centurion stood, "Yes, I have need of you. Find Arch-mage Anna and tell her I have need of her return." The demon bowed and soon disappeared in a cloud of shadows.

After Leticia was finished her desk-work, she then had to meet with the soldiers and mages to discuss plans for the protection of the empire. Good thing she had a few hours to spare before that so after she handled some more State-affairs she would slip in some free time for herself. Before that however, she would go with her personal group of soldier-mages on patrol around the main area of the empire. They were really working on the weapons part of the military, it was more magic than might and so there was a soldier's training school being built. She had loyal knights and governors who were patrolling the rest, huge empire as it was one person couldn't patrol it all every day. Dressing in her blue light armor over a knee length navy blue dress with a high collar and slit-sides in the skirt, the empress pinned her hair into a bun, put on her riding boots, grabbed her mage's staff and went down to the stables where her company was waiting. Mounting her favorite horse, it was black with blue eyes and named Anna after her sister, Leticia and her soldiers set out on their rounds. In Mawlay, Anna was practicng a spell that would let you control the spectres you summoned. She was loyal to the Centurion, but she took her magic very seriously and would even snap at him when she was interrupted, not scared of what he may do to her. Her magic was more than a match for him, it was her art and her very life's blood. Suddenly, she saw a shade move across the sky and her meticulously drawn spell circle fizzled out. Anna's eyes grew angry and she growled under her breath. "This had better be good Centurion." she said angrily.

Kalek - Border Deserts of Mawlay

With a heave, Kalek pushed the now motionless body from the end of his sword. The corpse, that had mere moments before been clawing at the man’s face, slumped lifeless to the ground. But before a moment’s respite could be gained, the blade once again was brought to bear, the distinctive clang of metal-striking-metal ringing out across the desert air. Kalek grunted under the weight of the blow, locking eyes with his inhuman opponent. It was a corpse, undoubtedly the residue of some necromancer’s experiment gone unfinished. Tatters of flesh hung useless and limp from its decaying features, mere inches from Kalek’s face as he sought to put his weight behind his blade. The creature roared at the God, the spine-chilling cry covering Kalek in its filthy spittle. In a swift, fluid action, Kalek brought his knee to bear, hearing the satisfying crunch of bone as it impacted on the rotten bones of the monster. The creature’s stance faltered, and with a downward stroke Kalek hacked deep into its neck, fighting against the resistance of its flesh.

Still more came. By this point, Kalek was breathing heavily, the physical exertion of the battle starting to make its presence known. He was constantly parrying and reacting simply to avoid the relentless attacks of the swarm; the shadowy figures lurking further out in the dark telling him that any possible exit would involve butchering his way through bodies. The God cursed beneath his breath, cursing his foolishness at having set up camp so close to where his quarries had lurked and cursing his luck that they had become adventurous enough as to mount an attack. It was a trend that he’d been noticing more and more lately. Where once the monsters would’ve stopped, an invisible line in the sand that marked the boundary of their menace, now whole hordes roamed freely – launching raids and assaults on unsuspecting towns near the border. Kalek had done what he’d could, but it was a lot of land to cover.

The piles of corpses at the God’s feet were starting to pile up, every step posing a risk of slipping on the pools of blood that now drenched the dirt. The rate at which they attacked him was increasing, now he found himself facing two or three foes at a time, it was only a matter of time before he made a mistake. The God’s eyes darted left and right, looking for an opening that he could use to escape or at least get to a better vantage point. He plunged his sword into the chest of another of the sickening creatures, the metallic blade piercing right between the ribs. With a rapid twirl, Kalek brought himself about with his hands raised – ready to parry the expected strike from yet another opponent. But instead he felt a sudden resistance before a stomach-sinking crack. As he turned to face the coming blow, Kalek found himself gawping horrified at the sight of but a severed hilt in his hand. The blade still sat embedded in the chest of his last victim, its rusting form having finally given up on the fight. The God simply stared in disbelief. Another one?

Queen Elyrith Tarembor
Firinel, The Kingdom of Elnaria.

Today was Starfall, the Winter Solstice of Elnaria. Today, the goddess Inyel might make a rare appearance as she replanted the Moon Crystals that kept Elnaria alive. All this was going through the head of Queen Elyrith of Elnaria as she prepared for the fun and the various ceremonies. Starfall was a day for her to rest and relax from the problems of running a kingdom and the threat of Dark Ones, and so she looked forward to it every year. Not that she disliked being queen, instead the opposite, as she loved it and its people. Walking to the balcony of her magnificent ice palace, she swung the doors open and looked up into the sky. As every Starfall, it was snowing, lightly but beautifully, the designs of each snowflake being made personally by Inyel herself. Designs could also be sent by the elves of Elnaria to Inyel's most sacred dwelling on Elurith, where the goddess considered each and every design. The snow never melted in Elnaria, as the goddess permitted. In fact, some of the snowflakes that fell were solid enough, due to the climate and the magic endowed in them, to remain in that form, so that they could be framed. Those who caught one received the epithet of "Snowcatcher" and were allowed to keep the snowflakes. Turning her attention to the city of Firinel itself, Elyrith looked and smiled, wondering at the twinkling lamps spread throughout the city, the sleds, transporting goods and materials for Starfall. She could sense it in the air, both the business of the city, and its barely concealed excitement.

Inyel, Goddess of Snow and Ice
The Ice Temple of Starfall, Mount Elurith

The goddess smiled as she looked into the glass and snow globe which showed her sacred city of Firinel and the kingdom of Elnaria alone. She directed the feed to turn towards her blessed champion, Queen Elyrith. She smiled as the queen did, feeling motherly towards the dear child. She had indeed chosen well, Elyrith was destined to be a great queen and was a vital piece in the future, exemplifying all of the best traits herself. As she walked out of her dwelling, she saw a ball of fire racing across the sky. It was Chantico, her beloved twin. Inyel was the elder, but had never wanted to be separated from her twin, as she felt slightly protective, though she did not let Chantico know. But alas, fire and ice would smother and snuff each other out, so they had to live separately. But the twins visited each other often, and despite all the years, they were still endeared. As Chantico came closer, Inyel commanded the gates of her palace/temple to open, and directed the snow to stop following. Inside, there was a room of neutral temperature neither hot nor cold, created by the powers of both goddesses so but sisters could talk and be together. She cleared the snow were Chantico would land, and stood waiting, with a soft smile at seeing her sister once again.

Aldrean rose a few a little while after his dream ended, finding that sleep wouldn't return to him. He got dressed and headed out of the room toward the courtyard of the guild. The guild was little a small city, built around a lake and a forest. There were people already mulling around, some training or building weapons. Aldrean made his way to a house on a hill towards the end of the compound. He found guild master Galith meditating in the center, praying to Chantico as he was a fire mage. "Come in Aldrean," He said before Aldrean ever knocked. Alderman was used to this, Galith was able to sense people's presence without seeing them. Aldrean made his way inside. "Master, I'm sorry to bother you. I couldn't sleep. I was having troubling dreams." Alderman told his master about his dreams. Galore sat silent and emotionless until he finished. "This woman, would you be able to describe her? Recognize her if you saw her?" Aldrean nodded, "Yes, but why does that matter?" Galore was silent for a little while before speaking. "Because, you're going to search for her."
The demon arrived in Anna's cave, appearing through the ground in a dark cloud. He stood before her, his dark face emotionless. "Lord Centurion demands an audience with you Lady Anna. He wishes to speak with you."

Nzem'thoth, the Solitaire
Lost in the Wilderness

Nzem'thoth was utterly and hopelessly confused as to how he had ended up in a sparse plain with nothing around other than a few trees eking out an existence and the occasional animal scuttling past. His mind was blank, he could remember nothing except for the Parade of... something that he couldn't recall, but that was months ago. It was likely that The Whisperer had blanked his mind again, for a purpose, for fun or probably no real reason he did not know. He swerved around a few times and attempted to ascertain which way was north, for that was the way he would be travelling.

"No it isn't, I want to go east to Loray!" screamed Nzem in his usual high pitched and squealing voice.

"No, I want to find this Dark Centurion, perhaps kill him or befriend him... Whisperer knows I need friends" replied Thoth, in a voice that sounded like depression incarnate.

"Yes, you do need friends" came the reply in his mind, it was probably The Whisperer though he could never be sure these days.

"We can make better friends in Loray!" exclaimed Nzem, intent on returning to Loray after a century of absence.

"Do we have to? Everyone there seems so lively, annoying and... distasteful" said Thoth, making no secret of his dislike for the Empire and its apparently happy citizens.

"Loray is nice this time of year" came the voice again, though Nzem'thoth was unsure as to whether Loray was actually nice, though it was likely nicer than the North and this plain. Nzem'thoth set out in the direction that he believed was east and headed for Loray. It only took him a solid thirty minutes of walking to remember that Loray was actually west and so he twirled around and began heading in the correct direction. Probably.

"He knows how I feel about my magic, it is an art and needs to be respected." "Although respect is something that it seems our beloved dark leader doesn't seem to have." "If he wants his army to get stronger he really must leave me to work in peace." I'm giving him a piece of my mind when I arrive." the elven woman muttered in anger as she disappeared in a plume of black and purple smoke, teleporting to the North where Centurion was stationed. On her way, she caught a glimpse of dead reanimated corpses and the god of death himself slaying them.

As Chantico traveled, she heard the prayers of one of her patrons, Guildmaster Galith. He has a special place in her heart out of many of her devotees, just as Queen Haneul did. She sent him strength so that his magic and heart would be strong and bright like fire. She started to cool down as she raced toward the spot that she and Inyel had created together. It was the only place in this frozen wonderland that the fire goddess could land safely, well she could land anywhere but would probably end up melting the snow. She landed perfectly in the neutral spot as the fire dissipated without melting anything. She flashed Inyel a sunny smile. "Hey sis, did you miss me?" she asked.

In Kakyuzu, Haneul was visiting the shrine temple dedicated to Chantico, their patron goddess and goddess of fire. As was custom for her land, the queen-empress wrote her prayer on a piece of papter and attached it to a thin metal stick which was tilted toward burning incense sticks so that the smoke could carry the prayer through the air. After that she took a length of red silk ribbon and went to go tie it to the world tree to bring good luck and prosperity to the empire. Meanwhile, while Empress Leticia was on patrol in Loray, she couldn't help but smile at the preparations that were going underway. In two days the Dance of the Gods would be held. It was a week long festival dedicated to all the gods with fun, games, ceremonies and the temples and palace would be decorated beautifully. Tish's favorite part was the Masquerade Ball and who hosted it varied from year to year with various kingdoms competing for the honor to host it, now it was decided by random draws and it was Loray's turn. She always threw the biggest and wildest parties, it was a time to forget your problems. Adn the drssing up, the empress very much enjoyed the dressing up, It was also a great time to talk with fellow rulers about foreign policy and to forge alliances.

Kingdom of Orion
Council of the King's

"So, we've all had the vision?" High King Mason Ellis asked.

Mumbled affirmative's came from the other twelve kings, all acknowledging the rise of the Dark Ones coming near. Mason then asked what was to be done, and none of the other King's had any ideas. Mason sighed, as arguing and bickering among the Twelve Kings of Orion erupted.

"Enough!" the High King ordered, "I will personally travel into the Temple of the Shade myself and ask our Dark God what is too be done!"
"Mason, don't be foolish." King Joshua Mallice pleaded, "Not even the Priests of Shade go into his temple, no one has even reached it!"
"Then I will be the first." Mason retorted, walking towards the the door of the council hall.

He refused to listen to their negative comments, so he ignored them as he left not only the Council Hall, but also the City of Ares. The High King walked until he reached the Jungle of Orion, the jungle which the Kingdom was named after. Mason knew that he would have to sneak past the Priests that inhabited the jungle, as well as the various animals that guarded the temple.

thwish

Mason looked up towards a tree where the sound had come from. It was probably nothing, but he couldn't help but get the feeling he was being watched. If it was a priest, he would be in trouble.

That's when he saw the man in blue robes jumped from a tree.

"What are you doing?" the man asked.

Mason sighed, and began to apologize. He walked towards the Priest, pushed him and ran. There would be many chasing him now, but if he could get to the heart of the jungle, the Temple of Shade, he would be safe.

Shade

Someone was nearing his temple, his priests in hot pursuit. The God of Shadows sighed, this meant that he would be dealing with a mortal directly. He walked towards the entrance, waiting for the arrival of the man. Before long, the High King of Shade's followers burst through the door.

"What do you need, my child?" Shade asked.
"I want to know what to do," Mason asked, "I want to be able to lead my people."
"Search for the the Leaders of Pangden," Shade told him, "Join with them to fight for light. Or give your aid to the Dark Centurion, and fight for darkness."

Mason sighed, leaving, and Shade decided it was time to visit some of the other Gods. Before he even thought, he had stepped into a shadow and was gone, arriving in the shadow of the Ice Goddess.

Aldrean was shocked at the guild-master's words. "What? Why?" He asked. "This is a message from Abrok. He wants you to find this woman and bring her to the guild. He has chosen you to carry out the mission." Aldrean didn't know what to say. He knew arguing would be pointless. "Well, how am I supposed to find her?" Galith stood up, standing at his desk and pouring himself a cup of tea. "You said she appeared to be royalty no? The Dance of the Gods will be held in Loray in a matter of days. I have no doubt you will find your mystery woman there." "How am I suppsoed to get in? Those parties are for royalty and nobles." Galith looked at him, "You have royal blood do you not?" Aldrean frowned at that. He was a prince of Albion, though he had left his home and denounced his name long ago. He hadn't spoken to his family in years. "You mean I have to pretend to be royalty again? This woman better be worth it." "Enough complaining, this is too important. You need to prepare for your journey." Aldrean bowed his head and headed back to his home to pack, though a little grudgingly.
When Anna arrived at the castle two large trolls that were members of the Centurion's gaurd escorted her to the throne room where the Centurion was waiting for her.
Meanwhile Abrok was in the form of an owl, watching Empress Haneul train in her castle. He had studied her for sometime, believing her to be one of the heroes to defeat the Criterion. He needed to be sure though, and he didn't want to scare her off. He wasn't very good with communicating with mortals.

"I figured it was time for me to come out of my isolation again." Shade said simply, pulling his hood over his head, "Hello, Chantico."

Shade wasn't very good at social interactions, as he had been hidden in his temple in the heart of the jungle since the beginning of time. There was a short span of time where he began to interact with the world on a grand scale, but that hadn't lasted long before he returned to his isolation.

Inyel nodded, understanding, in a way. Gods and Goddesses of Pangden acted strangely at times, and their powers often were influenced by their emotions. "It is good to see you again, Shade, I hope you will visit on a more regular basis. Are you just passing by, or can I convince to join me and hopefully Chantico here in watching this year's Starfall festival/event in Elnaria?" she asked.

Anna arrived inside the Centurion's throne room. "Well all mighty master of darkness, I hope this is urgent." "I was very busy finding magic to improve your army so it would be great if your tasks can give my work a little morte respect." Anna huffed to him. In Inyel's temple, Chantico frowned a little when Inyel called her "little sister." "Hey, I'm only an hour younger than you so that doesn't count." "You're the same age as I am." the fire goddess spoke and then listened to Inyel chatter excitedly about Starfall. She had only attended one, but everything was so cold even though it had been fun. The Festival de Falla, a festival dedicated to Chantico was more her game. It was celebrated during a red sky, everybody dressed in red and there were fire dancers ans spicy delicacies were served. And she had sneezed during one Starfall and melted all the snowballs. But still, it was an opportunity to have fun and be with her sister. "Oh very well, I'll stay." Chantico said with a small smile, rolling her eyes a little bit. "Well I can eat hot and cold foods, although the ice cream is mostly soup by the time I get to have any." "I can't wait to tell you all about Haneul, she's a very great beauty you know as well as a great queen. Chantico was surprised when she felt Shade arrive in their presence. He was known to be a loner god and didn't really interact with anyone, also their relationship was a little strained as fire and darkness can't really completely exist in the same place. "Shade, how nice to see you." Chantico said, tossing her red hair. "It's freezing in Elnaria, I'll have to get some winter clothes." She snapped her fingers and suddenly she was dressed in a winter robe in her favorite color, red.

"Very well then, let us go inside. Chantico and I have created a neutral room, where both fire and snow can coexist. You should be able to add your powers of shadow to create a dark spot for yourself." Inyel said.

"An hour is an hour, sis, no matter what you say. And I too have heard great things about Haneul, she seems worthy of your patronizing, the same way I feel about Elyrith. We'll talk more in the neutral room, you won't be so cold there, hopefully. About food, I've got all kinds of cookies inside. I don't seem to like chocolate chip cookies, maybe it's because the chips melt, but I have warm-hot apple cider, hot chocolate (which I can drink because it's a winter drink), coffee, shortbread cookies, gingerbread cookies, snickerdoodles, molasses cookies, oatmeal raisin cookies, basically all of them. Then later, we can go down the mountain to Tirinth, so we can watch the festival, live, and participate a bit, and before you all get cold, we can go back up here. C'mon!" Inyel said excitedly.

Shade couldn't help but smiling a tiny bit, which was the equivalent of rolling on the floor laughing for others. Inyel's pure excitement was a pleasant change to the darkness and dreariness of his temple. The God of Shadows remembered the last time he tried this sort of thing, and his other two aspects got out of control: The Jungles and Fear.

Shade nodded in agreement and followed the two young Goddesses, compared to him anyway, up to the neutral room, where he would add the darkness of shadows.

Nzem'thoth, the Solitaire
Completely and utterly lost

Nzem'thoth had been walking for hours and had still reached nowhere, the area around him was still an empty plain of nothingness. There was no fun to be had, no mischief to spring upon others and no poor soul to mercilessly gut. Where was he? Why was he here? Where would he go? What would he do next? Which way was West? Where was-

"Will you shut up you insufferable fool?" growled Thoth, angry by Nzem's constant questioning and screeching.

"How rude! No wonder you have no friends, you are very depressive lately" screamed Nzem, laughing needlessly after finishing the word depressive as if it had been some great joke.

"Stupid people like you make me angry, why is there nothing to kill around here?" shouted Thoth, becoming increasingly angry with an urge to take out his feelings.

"You two are going to send me mad, I think I shall find others more sensible to talk to" said the voice, slowly drifting off with every word until the 'to' was truly an ineligible whisper. The Whisperer could feel several gods meeting and wanted to try his luck in talking to them. His presence hit a mental barrier, too strong for his weakened state. He shouted death threats towards the barrier, tried bribing it with the air around it and sobbed for what seemed like hours, in several seconds. Realising he would not get through he departed quickly back to the safety of his mask, this overexertion having weakened him greatly.

"Look what you've done, he is mad now" said Thoth, fearing potential retribution from his master.

"It wasn't me, honest!" screamed Nzem, taking control of the body during Thoth's fearful state and turning it in a direction he believed was west. Perhaps now he could stop walking in circles due to Thoth's interference.

The Centurion have an amused smile at Anna under his mask, though she couldn't see it. He always found her rants amusing, which is why he allied her to speak to him that way. However, if she disobeyed he would deal with her harshly. Since she was obedient he didn't mind though. "Well, it's nice to see you as well Anna." The dark figure said. "Peace my dear, I know you are busy but we have important matters to attend to. His lord Kyzar has spoken to me. He has told me of some magic that will allow him to enter the physical world." He handed her a large ancient looking book of tomes. "He gave me this. Apparently we will need to open appeal to the otherworld. It will require the blood of heroes, but let me worry about. I need you to figure out how to create the portal. You're my most talented mage. Can you handle it?"

"Oh, I love cookies." "I can make spicy snickerdoodles that'll melt your socks off." Chantico said as she followed Inyel and Shade into the neutral room. Apparently this will be fun after all. Meanwhile, Anna heard the Centurion speak and was actually a little excited. "Finally, something worthy of my talents." "No worries boss, I'll create your little portal for you and we will both have our vengeance upon this occursed world." "I will take my rightful throne and we can see the rest of the world burn to ashes." She gave that high witch-like cackle that she oten did when she was happy about something. "I'll need to do some research, which means I'll have to travel." "Getting your hands on tomes like these isn't easy." Anna said befoe vanishing in a cloud of silvery smoke.

In Loray, Leticia smiled as they rode among the common people and the small children. When she got back to the palace she wold be sending out invitations to all the rulers of Pangden to attend the festival. "Empress, can I have a ride on your horse?!" "Please?!" a small girl with curly blonde hair like hers asked excitedly. The empress looked down at the child who was with her mother and father. "I don't see why not, if it's okay with your parents." the empress said, looking at the child with kind eyes. Her surprised parents bowed their heads and declared it an honor. Tish placed the child in front of her on her saddle and rode through the decorated streets a bit. Despite her happiness, she felt a bit of a pang in her heart as she took in the sights. The Dance of the Gods was a festival that both she and Anna loved. They would get ready together and go to the parties together, and at the masked ball they would often dress up as the twin goddesses Inyel and Chantico. Now that she was gone, the festival wouldn't be the same. Nothing would be the same until a cure was found for that spell. The empress had been searching but couldn';t find the spell that made Anna like this. As she thought about it she got a distracted look in her eyes and they clouded over a bit with sadness.

In another, larger empire, Haneul had finished her prayers and was heading to the palace to finish up her day's work. No doubt she was looking forward to the invitation that Empress Leticia would be sending out to all the rulers of the world so that they could attend the Dance of the Gods. But Haneul felt something, a strange presence she couldn't put her finger on. The wind ruffled her hanbok as she walked back to the palace, still wondering.

"Very good, you are a faithful servant Anna. You will have your revenge, and so shall I." He told her before she teleported away. He was making his plans to destroy the heroes guild once for all. They would burn for betraying him, and he wouldn't let Abrok stand in his way.
In the guild, Aldrean was preparing to travel to Loray. He wasn't exactly looking forward to the trip. It would most likely be a bunch of snooty nobles partying. He had left that life for a reason 9 years ago. He doubted that he would be able to convince whoever he was looking for to give up her life to fight monsters and probably get killed in the process. The trip would take a while too, he doubted it would be worth it.
Meanwhile Abrok was still in Kakyuzu in owl form. He was still watching Haneul as he followed her from tree to tree. He knew she was a favorite of Chantico but he still wasn't sure if she was a hero. Unfortunately he believed he would have to speak to her to discover the truth. He doubted that would go well. He hooted softly in a tree as he thought about how to approach her.

Alyah Eshe - Camir
Alyah rolled out of bed and gazed out at the predawn city. Another day, another chance to do better. She quietly trotted out of her room and glance din to make sure her adopted father was still in bed. He was, as usual, which made Alyah smile softly as she quickly scampered down the stairs from their rooms to the ground level which was the shop. Marshall's General store, the rinky little shop her father had set up after he one day decided it was time to "Stop living the life of crooked men and become a legitimate business man." He never looked back but Alyah had little relapse into their more shady past. She stopped by the counter to grab her crossbow. It was an old and partially rotted wooden thing but she loved it. It would have certainly fallen apart if someone as dedicated to it's maintenance as her wasn't looking after it. The young elf girl slid it over her shoulder and stepped out onto the sodden and filth ridden streets of the so called "Vagrant's Quarter" it was the place that those at the bottom of the food chain lived, while still being nicer than some other areas., especially since it was by the docks.

Alyah headed to the coastline, with a joyful spring in her step. When she got to the rundown and unused docks she carefully climb out across the pier, her elven senses helping her know which areas were safe. When she arrived at the end she calmly sat down and loaded the crossbow, nocking a bolt and waiting for the telltale sign of the large fish that would be serving as her breakfast. A twang sounded and the water darkened, breakfast was caught. Alyah pulled the nearly cat sized fish from the water. "You're gonna be my big, juicy breakfast." She calmly placed her crossbow on her back and carried the dead thing home to surprise her father.

Ergon Valine- Camir
Ergon sat on the luxurious throne, covered in fine furs. He had been up all night with the representative of the merchant's guild, milking the portly man of as much money as he could. It wasn't as if he needed the money financially, he was set for thousands, maybe even a hundred thousand opulent lives. But Ergon simply wanted more. He wouldn't stop until it was all his, land, titles, power, servants, everything in the city was his and he made certain everyone knew it. A courier opened the doors tentatively "M-my lord?" Ergon waved him in, "Speak. It had better be interesting." The courier nodded, "Remember that incident about ice in July.... Well we found the one responsible.' Ergon bolted upright, his attention fully fixed on the courier. "It's a young elf girl. Her father runs a general store and they do pretty well.... for a group of nobodies." Ergon stroked the black stubble on his chin, "I see. Perhaps we could convince them to join my court. Someone with that kind of magical potential would be quite useful. Go on ahead and alert the guards. I'll be taking a little walk."

Haneul arrived back at the old but beautiful and opulent Himeji Palace when she heard a soft hoot come up from behind her. She turned and saw an owl hooting in the trees, she studied the creature with her sharp black eyes. "Hello little one, you've been following me all this time eh?" "Well then you're either a demon sent after me or my guardian angel." Haneul smiled at the bird before going back inside her palace.

In Loray, Leticia had returned the child to her parents and also finished her patrol for the day. After quite a lengthy meeting with the soldiers and mages, she was officially done with her State duties for that day, or at least until something comes up. The empress always rose before the sun so that she could finish early. And important matters always took quite a bit of time and had to be handled. When she finally rrived at her palace, her first thoughts went to how to break Anna's spell but then she realized she had to send out invitations to the festival first. It was two and a half days away and people needed time to get there. She went inside and sat at her desk, calling for the list of all Pangden rulers that were either neutral or allies, everyone who wasn't an enemy. "Okay then, this is going to be the party of the year and all the monarchs fight for spots." "I can't leave anyone out, it will be a political faux pas." he Empress said, her thick Loray accent(German basically) becoming more pronounced. Her Secretary of State as well as chief bodyguard, Hans Lithile was a tall muscular, half Orc and half Elf soldier. He was intelligent and loyal, and to Leticia that was all that mattered. As she went over the list, the empress had reactions to some of the names.

"Queen Haneul, she's been a friend of the Empire for a while." "I'll probably make her an honor guest." "Also Queen Elyrith of Elnaria, we have to make up for not being able to attend this year's Starfall." the blonde said, checking off the list. Hans pointed out a few more names on the list. "How about the royal family of Albion my lady?" he asked. "Of course, they will definitely get an invitation." "Albion and Loray have been firm allies all this time." "Also the king of Mawlay is coming too." "Pen'daii and Ozakaria are at war right now so I don't know if I should invite either of them." "It would be disastrous, but it'll be even worse if I didn't invite either one." "Gandera's on the list as well and then..." Both Leticia and Hans sighed at the last name. Ergon Valine, the notoriously amoral and ravenously greedy King of Camil. "Well he loots his own people, we don't want him looting us." "We do not want to make an enemy of this kingdom, if we don't invite Ergon we may assuredly have war." the empress said. "Must we invite him?" Hans asked. Leticia sighed. "Unfortunately yes, it'll be a political disaster if we don't." "We definitely have to bring Orion, they worship Shade and we have to keep them from aiding the Dark Ones at all costs." "Hey, Pen'daii and Ozakaria are at war so they probably can't make it anyways." "It'll be great if they couldn't, but one must send the invites anyway." "I will make a condition that warring parties must be neutral to each other for the festival and not drag this country into war of the invite is revoked." eticia started writing the invites, after using a copying spell to make all the copies she needed, she gave them to her courtiers to hand out to the Pangden rulers. She then read over a letter from Qwen, oh great. Another potential war she had to worry about.

Allies of Loray and Neutral Ruling Parties of Pangden,
As you all know, the annual Festival of the Gods is coming up very soon and according to last year's drawing, our empire has the honor and joy of hosting the festivities as well as the all-celebrated Masquerade and Costume Ball which will be held on the seventh and final day of the clbration. This is a week dedicated to worshipping the gods that bring good fortune to all our lives, honoring them and just an occasion to have fun. Also, it is a time for Loray and her friends to come together and discuss potential alliances, foreign policy, ruling, and to exchange ideas. Most of all however, it is a fun festival that is about the triumph of the Light over the Dark and honoring all the gods of the light. To avoid political suicide and because friendships are important to me, I have invited every nation that is either an ally of Loray or at least not an enemy so disagreements can be squashed. I can't help but worry however that some of you are at war with other nations. Loray will not become a battleground, I must insit that whoever has a war going on amongst themselves that they either be civil to us and to each other by agreeing to a temporary ceasefire for the duration of the parties, or that you decline the invitation. I am like any other monarch and do not wish my people to be dragged into someone's war when we have done nothing, they're expensive and bloody businesses and I've dedicated my entire reign to avoiding them. Especially when most of us have a looming common enemy to worry about. I really hope however that you all can make it, it will be good to see and talk to the other crowned heads of this nation and have a fun and profitable week.

Leticia Elena Valen I, Empress and Autocrat of the Loray Empire.

King Darius Tiberin XI of Albion soon received the letter from Loray, inviting him and his family inviting them to the Festival of the Gods. He soon wrote back, thanking the empress for the invitation and accepting it. He then told his famiy and began to prepare for the journey.
Abrok merely hooted back at Haneul when she spoke to him, returning her stare with his soft green eyes. When she went inside her palace, the owl flew off towards the ground and once he found a hidden spot he returned to his human form. Abrok appeared as a young man in his late 20's with long brown hair and a short beard. His green eyes stayed consistent, but had a weariness to them, as if they had seen enough suffering for a thousand life times. He made his way toward the front of the palace, seeking entry to speak to the empress.
