Welcome to Washington City, 21st December 2027
Only a decade earlier the world government known as the Order collapsed and the era of unity came to end at the hands of a global revolution.
The former United States - now known as the United American Republic continues its struggle to rebuild and define itself and its place in this new era, and powered individuals, collectively known as metahumans and formerly as abhumans are now growing in their numbers after over 200 years of prosecution under the Order's regime.
With the former world government now in shambles, crime is on the rise and corruption is rampant as the Washington PD continues struggling to counter street gangs who have now accumalated into the well known Washington Underworld, and ruled by a handful of an elite circle of the city's kingpins.
Drugs, theft, prostitution, bribery and even black market firearms now rot the city to its core. Many now decide to take the law into their own hands, particularly abhumans who embrace their role as the city's shadow guard and vigilantes, while others seek to profit and personal prosperity and join the Washington Underworld.
This RP will also serve as a semi-Prequel, with additional posts set in 2013 exploring life in Washington four years before the collapse of the Order and the life of everyday residents as well as Sanctioned Abhumans.
