Glass. What do you think of when I say it? Perhaps a cup of sultry red wine? Or rather a window? Do you imagine glistening shards, falling toward the earth? Glass is not only functional, but beautiful. Glass blowers spend their lives in ovens, igniting mounds of sand and shaping them into vases, garden ornaments, or sculptures. Our lives are surrounded by the translucent art, and yet it is so fragile. Why? Who is to say that glass is small and weak? Who is to say that glass cannot be strong, nor powerful, nor invincible? By sheer coincidence, a French chemist once discovered that glass, can in fact, be something more.

Wow, that was dramatic and long winded. I'm not even sure it made sense, but no matter! Hello everybody! I would personally like to cordially welcome you to one of the first rps I've made in the past year. This story is set in a cyberpunk-esque world. I emphasize the 'esque' because it's not so futuristic that we shoot lightning bolts, no none of that. It's more like this:
We've reached breaking points in technology where things like virtual reality sims and interactive holographs are common technology. Limbs can easily be replaced with a prosthetic, which is controlled using a nuero-cranial transmitter. Some cellular phones still are used like our modern smartphone, but many also favor the holographic datapad that usually can be worn on one's person, or kept in a purse/pocket.
The society in this fictional world (which is not Earth, mind you) is somewhat an anarchist society. There is a governing power in these city states, but this governing power, in an attempt to stamp out unemployment and poverty, only applies law to corporations. These companies are bound by law to protect the equal and undeniable rights of their employees, as well as care for them when times are dire. The employees of these companies are the middle class, but many who reject governmental power to regulate their lives have created their own names for themselves in the anarchist low class society. Some run bars and other local businesses, some create small functional communities together outside the city limits, some prostitute, some murder and steal, and others are what w like to call a 'Gun for Hire'. A mercenary.
Obviously, what with the title and all, our dear protagonists will be a small community of these mercenaries. Their organization is called 'The Glass' for the statement I got all dramatic about earlier. You remember that one, right? Yeah... Anyways, these mercenaries can come and go from time to time, but a small group are almost always with the Glass. They all share a home in the suburb of the city, once owned by the leader's mother and father until they passed away eight years previous. The fact that this home is the base of operations for the Glass is unknown to anyone who isn't a member, and the secrecy of it is expected to be upheld.
This is the floorplan of the home, with two beds per bedroom (unless more are needed, in which case, more will be added.) Additionally, the family room instead functions as a gym for the mercs. The backyard hosts an obstacle course, some climbing courses, and a small swimming pool and hottub.
These guys also have a bar they commonly go to, where their friend known as 'The Informant' can give them jobs or other possible information necessary. Of course, they can always just talk with her, too.

2. Ask the other player's permission before you create an intimate relationship between characters.
3. I'm the OP, my word on decisions is final.
4. If you're gonna do the do, don't describe it here. If you wanna continue in tg, that's your choice, but fade to black or something when you're here.
5. If there's a problem with anything, let me know and I'll do what I can to fix it.

Name: Obvious. This is a fictional world, so have fun with the names!
Age: These guys are adults. No 15 year old is gonna saunter in here and put a bullet in some guy's head.
Gender: Obvious. Feel free to include agender, transgenders, etc.
Appearance: Art is 99% preferred. Also, if you can, please try to maintain a concept-art style for art. No cartoons, por favor.
Personality: Duh
Bio: Don't be super emo about this. If your character is dark and mysterious and evil but nice, and has a backstory worse than anything in DC, you probably won't be accepted.
Skillset: What makes them valuable to the team? Are they a great hacker? An assassin? Demolition expert? Also includes their fighting style.
Weapon(s): picture is not necessary, but if you want to, go ahead.
Vehicle: You don't need a vehicle, honestly, if you don't want one. If you have one, though, please provide a pic.
