In Great Britain and Belgium we have the National Health Service (NHS) that is publicly funded healthcare for every citizen with an NHS Card. NHS cards are obtained for free and automatically if a person is born in the nation. If someone that was not born here wants an NHS Card then a fee of £100 is paid and an agreement is signed. The NHS was founded in 1948 to provide suitable healthcare to all citizens no matter what class they are.
It is funded mainly through central taxation and the services provided are free at the point of use.
