Your nation's popular video games

Postby Arab Jamahiriyahs » Thu Nov 13, 2014 5:11 am

So, what are your nation's popular video games? Are citizens addicted to it? What is it all about?
In the USSAJ Minecrafting is compulsory. It's the nation's biggest addiction and criticisers of minecraft are put in jail. :p

Also, 99% of all people fail to say correct facts about my nation in F7 due to failure of reading factbooks. If you happen to guess it right, congratulate yourself.

1 • The current version of Minecraft. Now with virtual reality!

2 • Command and Conquer Generals 3 - Essentially C&C Generals, but with more graphics, specialization, multiplayer, story, characters, missions, etc.

3 • Call of Battle: Black Ops 3 - A very stylized first person shooter that takes place in present day Ammerinia. It involves global conquest, commanding, squad mechanics, etc. Arguably the best in the Call of Battle series.

4 • World of Battlecraft - A fantasy MMO that has absolutely no Old-World tie ins. It uses ground breaking technology that allows for a very open and special playing experience.

5 • Clash of Clans - You know the drill on this one. With the exception that the units can be individually commanded, and there is a lot more strategic decisions involved.

The video version of Hungry Hungry Hippos was not very successful because it was too hard on the keyboards.

Our most popular video game is Duck World, in which the player takes the role of a duck. The high score is more than 80 billion grapes licked.

Mass Multiplayer Online RPGs are extremely popular in Senyosu.

Maplestory, StarCraft, Skyrim, World of Warcraft, LOL (League of Legends)
, and a Senyonese all time favorite by the largest game company of Senyosu acalled Andojee Gaming Labs, Esvar Online (Esuba Kyukajin)

Console games are also just as popular. The Final Fantasy series by Square Enix for instance, is a best seller here.

OOC: I play Maplestory and LOL for the most part. Used to play Skyrim.
Senyosu is under reconstruction, however, former tropes still apply

Top 3 popular video games in Zhouran:

1. Minecraft

2. Halo 4

3. Terraria

Stealy Wheely Automobiley - A popular open word sandbox game where you murder prostitutes and run over civilians. The game is rated G for "gibberish".

Righteous Slaughter 7 - An first person shooter game developed by Misfire Games for the eXsorbeo 720 console. It is a sequel to Righteous Slaugher 6, which came out 3 months before. It's virtually identical to the 6 previous instalments featuring an overly patriotic single player campaign and multiplayer which features swearing prepubescent boys who claim they've had sexual intercourse with your mother. The game is rated PG for "Pretty much the same as the last game".

Pride Not Prejudice - A first person shot about shooting communists in the Deep South. In-game activities include commiting farm-yard sodomy and drinking grain alcohol while driving at high speeds. The game is rated R for "retarded".
This nation is based off the setting of the videogame Grand Theft Auto V and Grand Theft Auto San Andreas. So make as much GTA references as possible.
Beavers are actually extinct in San Andreas. We built our dams on top of theirs and dumped all our raw sewage into the rivers. It's why Los Santos was voted 2013 most polluted city (suck it Beijing!)

Golden Sun series:

Incredibly popular in Aeiouia, as it breaks our universe. Almost all of our Fantasy Tech elements come from Weyard, which is the world in which the games take place. And our leader just so happens to be one of the main characters of the first game, and really likes it as a result.

However, she despises of a glitch in the first game where you can avoid having her added to the party. So much so, that she recently released government-funded PC ports of the games with said bug removed and modding support added.

The modding community for the series has completely taken off since then, with many modders being household names. Needless to say, damaging the Fourth Wall is a favorite pastime of many Aeiouians.

Star Control series:

For similar reasons as Golden Sun, it breaks our universe. So, the people love using it to obliterate the Fourth Wall on a regular basis.

Minecraft:

Popular, but has been ported to a more modern language than Java (We are a far-future tech faction). We have virtual reality, and Minecraft is one of the most popular simulation units. Community-made mods for this game are also extremely prevalent.

Nationstates:

I did say that breaking the Fourth Wall is quite popular around here.

Universe Overlord:

Exactly what it says on the tin. It is basically a sandbox simulation of a universe, with the player(s) being omnipotent in most gamemodes. Our immensely powerful, trans-sapient tech computational systems allow the simulation of even the most minute details. Every single atom and photon is simulated individually in the game.

The modding community is not as big for this game as it is for most in Aeiouia, since a regular sapient has no hope of being able to understand the game's workings. However, many Archailects enjoy making mods for the game as a form of entertainment.

Popular mods include different game modes (Such as a mode where you play as an empire, similar to Civilization), and different physic-sets for universes. Many servers include the ability for players to play as normal citizens in a fantasy or historical setting of their choosing, while admins play as Archailects or Deities. Different servers have varying degrees of realism, with "Hardcore" settings being indistinguishable for reality.

Jenna's Playhouse:

A game developed by the leader of our military (She is a trans-sapient). It is essentially a strategy game, where your objective is to incinerate as many things as possible. It is quite popular amongst the Jennaist Cult, who worship our military commander as a goddess, and are ecstatic about setting things on fire as a result.
