Admins have to spend time coding the mini games and then spend time during the release fixing bugs, updating charts, and making news posts. I don't know about you, but I've got different plans for my Christmas holiday time. I suspect that is also true of our tiny administrative staff.

I also think it would be great to have more events such as this.

We've had three zombie apocalypse events now, and each time I see nations really get into it that otherwise aren't really involved in NationStates...that may just sit around, answer issues every few days, and not otherwise get involved with their regions. It's a great opportunity for them to interact with their regional communities when they otherwise wouldn't, it's great for regions to be able to reach out to these people and maybe get them interested, and it's great for NationStates...anything that keeps people from getting bored and quitting is great for NationStates, I would imagine.

I for one am very thankful and appreciative of the game staff having this event again and deciding to make it an annual event!

That would be way too much work for the five? admins that there are, and, if by region on Earth, you mean countries, there are 196 countries on Earth and 16,292 regions. Waaaaaaaaaaaaaay too many more.

That would be way too much work for the five? admins that there are, and, if by region on Earth, you mean countries, there are 196 countries on Earth and 16,292 regions. Waaaaaaaaaaaaaay too many more.

I didn't mean Admins, I meant us, and I did not mean countries, I meant small bits of land. Maybe cities or parts thereof; perhaps we'd assign multiple regions to one city or state. In theory, it's a huge job; in practice, if every region had one member assign an Earth region to their own it could be done within a night, and the regions who lack members or couldn't scare up volunteers could be assigned to Antarctica or similarly barren regions. Then, on the 24th, we could have people who might have watched the tracker anyway alert their region when Santa arrives at the corresponding Earth region.
