Welcome to the fourth installment of the "Great Evil" Series, which began with the now disbanded 1936: The Rise of a Evil.
We have a new RP up, produced by my assistant and friend Spironia. I hope you enjoy!

It was 1805... Napoleon took the throne as Emperor, the Holy Roman Empire dissolved... Britain losing Hanover, the former Louisiana Territory... It seemed like this new Emperor's only plan was on expanding into Europe, which it was. Europe, in the coming years will witness the great power of the French.

This is the IC for the European conflicts.

Rhine
A army of 400,000 went against a army of 500,000 Rhine Soldiers, which would be one of the largest battles of the Nineteenth Century, but at the same time not. Marshal Michel Ney led the army, where he diverted forces 40,000 to each of the Rhine's flanks. France already claimed the Rhine as their own, after a negotiation with a few leaders. He then initiated a charge, and the battle began. It lasted for a day, as many Rhine Divisions surrendered after a thousand were killed, as the Rhine Armies were pushed back. Westphalia was conquered, along with a few other small states, and these were given to the Batavian Republic. The deaths of the French forces mounted up to about 300,900 men, and Marshal Michel Ney getting injured (Slash to the right leg).

Madrid, United Kingdom of Iberia & the Indies
King João of Iberia & the Indies sat silently in a exquisitely-decorated yet simple and minimalistic stagecoach having just entered the capital of the empire God had put in his hands through a complex sequence of events that at times made him believe he was chosen in an odd way.
He sat there alone for three days having parted Lisbon on Tuesday morning and arriving in Madrid at a bit past noon; the whole way he imagined his glorious armies marching through the magnificent cities of his marvellous empire—these weren't delusions of grandeur; it was the truth. Now however, he had arrived in Madrid where the lower classes revered him as the foreign but generous husband of the Queen—the real monarch it must be stated—but the high circles of society reviled him considering him the usurper of the realm. Here he'd have to face court intrigues and most-importantly (and worryingly) the British Ambassador, Sir Henry Lloyd, a short and slightly fat man of about fifty years of age. The Ambassador (and the court) were increasingly concerned with the rapid deterioration in relations between the British and Iberia due to the alliance between the Iberians and the French.
The Iberian King truly had a difficult task ahead with the insults of the nobility and the aristocracy becoming increasingly severe and the prospect of war against the mighty British.

Saxony
A force of 100,000 Prussian troops, under the command of the King himself, launched an invasion of Saxony this morning against 80,000 Saxony troops. The two armies met near a small river just a few dozen miles away from Dresden, Saxony's capital. Before that the war had been compromised of small scale battles and skirmishes. At morning, The Prussians attacked, attempting to try to outflank the enemy but suffered great losses from entrenched cannons and the fierceness of the defenders. The next day, they tried again, but focused on the center, pushing right through the lines with sheer strength and numbers, splitting the defence lines. Nevertheless, the Saxony troops continued to resist right up till the end. The road to Dresden was finally open but at a price; 14,000 Prussians and 30,000 Saxony troops lay dead in the battlefields.The surrendering Saxonians and Prussians sat together to pray for the dead the next morning.

Prince Constantin sat in his throne room in the capital of his nation. The room itself was moderately decorated and stood nothing to the major power's of Europe's throne rooms, but was quite beautiful for a throne room of a vassal state.

A vassal state, the Prince thought, Wallachia should of never fallen subservient to others. He called for his scribe, who could write French. "I need you to write a letter. Make it out to the Emperor of France."

As the scribe took his place to start writing, he began to speak his message.

"Dear Emperor Bonaparte,

The nation of Wallachia, incase you didn't know, is a nation located in the Danubian area if the Balkans. Sadly, we are a vassal state of the Ottoman Empire. We would like to help you, if it every came to it, to fight with you against your enemies inside the region in exam he for Transylvania and the fact that we won't longer be a vassal of the ottomans.

Thank you in Advance,
The Prince of Wallachia."

After the scribe had written it down, it was send away to Paris as fast as possible.

Madrid, United Kingdom of Iberia & the Indies

King João sat in his study at the Palace of Zarzuela playing chess with his faithful companion, the Duke of Cádiz. "Check mate," the Duke said almost whispering "I've won".
"What is it?" The King asked having returned from a neighbouring dimension where his mind was crowded with all of the recent troubles
"I've done the unthinkable; I've defeated the King at chess! At chess!"
"Francisco, I was distracted; my hegemony over this game is indisputable. I am the best in Iberia and possibly Europe."
"Juan, I'll write the letter to Napoléon if it bothers you so much."

With those words Francisco, Duke of Cádiz, sent a servant for paper and a quill. In a few minute he started writing.

Sa Majesté Impérial,

Iberia declares its loyalty to you and your country. We formalise our alliance by means of this note to make it clear this an alliance of equals and not one between liège-lord (France in this case) and its vassal-state (Iberia in this case).

From this moment on we shall be faithful allies to each other.

With that letter on its way to Paris the British Ambassador was summoned to dinner at the Royal Palace of Madrid (and not the Palace of Zarzuela as was the custom of this King). A Royal Guard brought the Ambassador to a brilliantly-lit, glorious and luxurious dining room where the King sat.
Ten minutes after the Ambassador had sat down at the dining table and engaged in small-talk with his only companion tonight, the King, an hors d'oeuvre was served. Within ten minutes the main dish was served and forty-five minutes after that dessert was served with a sigh of relief from the obviously-exhausted chef.
Dinner ended at a quarter-past nine after which the King invited the Ambassador to the reading-room where he promptly dismissed him and told him while his company was appreciated a state-of-war existed between his country (The British Empire) and the one he resided in (Spain). The King called for a carriage and escorted the Ambassador to the Embassy near Plaza de España and gave him a week to leave the country and take all the valuable possessions in the building as it would be nationalised by the Spanish State.
By 12:00 the King was in bed next to the official queen regnant but de facto consort planning his reaction to the reaction of the nobles at the news of the dismissal of the British Ambassador and the formation of an alliance with Bonaparte—or Buonaparte as many of them preferred to call him.

The ambassador returned to the embassy building immediately and prepared a message for London

Spain has declared allegiance to France and that it at war with Britain now. One week to take possessions and leave embassy. Further details upon arrival

When London received the message, the government nearly fell into chaos. Fear of French invasion had flourished in Britain for years, but once again the events had been the most unexpected. Even if such actions were taken by a nation who claimed to be an ally of France, it was enough to convince everyone that war was inevitable. The coastal defences that had been worked on for years already got the biggest budget yet, militia members were waiting anxiously for the call everyone expected, and the navy stood ready to be first line of defense.

Defense could not be the only action taken though, especially if France was able to conquer the rest of Europe. (I'll do messages later, trying to keep up with everything XD )

Rhine
All of the Rhine was conquered, as the army prevailed. The new land made France, once more, a greater nation than all. Britain's Colonial Presence in Africa, though, was larger, as was Spain's in South America.

Paris
Napoleon declared that a army of 400,000 will be made from the Batavian Republic, The New Rhine-Land, and France, in order to merge with the 200,000 army and expand into Bavaria. The French Influence was beginning to expand...

We will gladly try to free you, either by force, by payment, or by diplomacy.

Despite the outcry some would have at such a stupid sounding idea as "just because I'm attacking your possessions over in Asia doesn't mean we need to fight here" the British government saw this as border lining a miracle. The situation was tense enough as everywhere Britain was scrambling to prepare, the chance to avoid fighting within Britain itself was something they couldn't afford to pass up. While not sure whether or how long it would last, building or updating defenses continued though at a much smaller scale than before.

Dear French government

We agree to this deal, there should be no reason to bring more bloodshed to Europe. You have our word that France shall not see an invasion from Britain as long as we do not see an invasion from France.

Nicholas Argon felt anger the entire time he wrote the message, he was facing French expansionism directly against British colonies and had to write like it was no big deal. But pride or emotion couldn't get in the way of this deal. Britain wouldn't be in the position to invade France for a long time anyway, though they could still assist in helping to prevent any expansion should Napoleon be insane enough to start a new war in Europe.

Prince was getting ready to dine when the reply reached his palace in the capital of his nation. After reading it, he laughed with happiness and relief. With the help of France, nobody could stop Translyvania from being transferred from Austrian control to Wallachian control. He called for his chef, the head of all those in the palace.

"I need you prepare a great feast for Sunday, it must be able to fill up me and my closest advisors and officers!"
Not being a man to disobey, the man ran off to the kitchens to command the other chefs and cooks to start preparing the feast. Meanwhile, the Prince was finishing his dinner, humming quietly to himself. Tomorrow he would order his soldiers to move to the border of Transylvania.

30 miles North of Dresden, Saxony

King Frederick sat in the cool shade of the evening sun, alongside him was Isaac von Blutcher, a decorated war commander, and his advisor. They had been waiting for hours for the Saxonian King to come to him to discuss terms of surrender. Frederick thought the King either was too afraid to come to him in fear of being shamed, or Saxony was using this as a distraction. But a moment later, a bugle call was heard; the royal call of when the Saxonian King was present. About a dozen men including the king were on horseback, and the king had a solemn and depressed look on his face.

"It seems the Saxonians have the balls to surrender" Said Blutcher mockingly, and Frederick quickly scolded him to quiet.
The Saxonian king walked up to Frederick, bowed, and and sat down on a wooden chair.

"My name is Frederick Austugus I, commonly known to as King Austugus. I am here to discuss terms of surrender.''

"My name is Frederick II. Now, lets get straight to it. We of Prussia wish your allegiance towards the Prussian cause, and vow to never again betray us like you did back in the Battle of Jena"

"Saxony did not betray Prussia, rather, we had to do what was best of our nation after the disastrous war you brought upon to us. We will not tolerate this kind of accusations." Said Augustus stubbornly.

"Say what you like, I do not care. Will you pledge allegiance towards me, or live long enough to watch your capital burn. We outnumber you, and could destroy your entire nation within days."

Augustus sighed. If he signed the surrender, his people will either look at him as a hero, who saved Saxony from imminent doom from Prussia, or a coward,, a good for nothing ruler who backed out after a single major fight. He thought carefully, then came to a conclusion.

"We, people of Saxony, accept these terms. Saxony will pledge allegiance towards Prussia, and Prussian troops are free to move around the country." Augustus said in a horse whisper, just loud enough for Frederick to hear.

"Good. Then it is settled. Blutcher, tell all of our men to return back to Prussia, but leave 15,000 troops here." Frederick took out the official terms of surrender papers, and Augustus signed them in the evening silence. Without a word, he got up and left with his horse followed by his escorts.

Tuscany
A army of French men and Italian soldiers invaded the empire of Austria, and Bavaria. 2 armies of equal size invaded Bavaria and Austria. The armies witnessed great resistance, as a Bavarian army countered it, along with Austrian support. The army of 500,000 was heavily countered by a army of 50,000 Bavarian men, and 300,000 Austrians. At the battle of Munich, 350,000 French men were killed. Though a success... it was caused much morale for the now moving Army of the French. The second, none successful battle of Vienna, resulted in 400,000 French death. But, the Bavarian army was destroyed, and the Austrians having a dwindling force of 200,000. The French men got the Kingdom of Italy's army, a force of 200,000, and invaded Vienna once more, resulting in deaths up to 300,000 for the French, and death of all the Austrians.

London

The situation was straining the British Empire as the struggle against France and her allies to defend her colonies continued. Battles across the world were keeping the citizens worried and hysteria was ever present. As in a wartime state, measures were taken and laws passed to protect from espionage and sabotage.

Meanwhile, Army General Patrick Trask was making an address before Parliament, though Prime Minister Nicholas Argon and King George the III were also attending. (And exert follows)

"Gentlemen, you do not need me to tell you we are at war, or that we may be facing the greatest threat yet. But when I look at the situation, and pardon me for saying this, but we are not fighting a war! We are fighting like a drunk, disorganised and slow to respond, and a pacifist, sitting on the offensive. Napoleon views us as cowards, and he is not mistaken as we try to hide from any further conflict.

The British Empire must wake up from whatever slumber we are stuck in, when there's a war we fight a war! Napoleon is not stopping at most of Europe, or just British colonies, the heavens couldn't appease him. It is our job to stand against these tyrants, it's why Britain can stand as power. We've lived in luxury, now who here is ready to stand with me and live in responsibility?..."

Britain has increased production of all types of navy ships, expanded military budget, and is considering conscriptions.

Prussia

I understand that this is a delicate subject, but one that we must address. You have seem the greed of Napoleon and his French empire and their aggressive expansions, and hope you agree that he will not stop with what he has taken so far.

He and his allies have already grown in power significantly, I fear it is only a matter of time before there is no one who can stand up to them. Which is why I ask you to stand with us against this threat, the duty of all great nations to stop the evils of this world. We possess a powerful navy, but few can match the skill of Prussia's armies, which will be vital in stopping his advance in Europe.

I understand the hesitation to join a war that does not impact you yet, but the threat is real. If Napoleon could fight the world all at once, he would, but he doesn't, he understands he could be defeated by an united force. Please consider an alliance

With the British Ambassador having left the country and the British Embassy now the future host of soirées and galas in celebration of victory the Crown decided to formalise the state of war between the United Kingdom and the Kingdom of Iberia & the Indies. Therefore, the King called for an emergency session of the Cortes Generales and asked them to present him and his wife (her signature was required as she was the queen regnant of Spain; João was only the King of Portugal) with a declaration of war which they would sign.
The members of the Cortes hastily prepared the declaration.

DECLARATION OF WAR AGAINST THE UNITED KINGDOM OF GREAT BRITAIN AND IRELAND AND ALL HER OVERSEAS TERRITORIES ON BEHALF OF THE KING AND QUEEN OF IBERIA & THE INDIES

We, João & Carlota, By the Grace of God, the Treaty of Union and the Constitutions of the State King & Queen of Iberia & the Indies hereby declare the existence of state of war between our nation, the United Kingdom of Iberia & the Indies, and the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland.

We declare the existence of this state of war between our countries with the full support of our people and our legislators and statesmen.

The Royal Navy constantly active, preparing a ship, testing a new addition to the fleet, or training new members. There was still much action to be taken, but the reenergised force was making progress. The largest in the world, it was still stretched and waiting for a new growth from the flood of funds and projects granted to ensure it could perform at maximum efficiency. Currently it was simply ensuring the safety of the British Isles, leaving some spare units but still not enough to use yet. That was planned to change, but until then the patience of eager members were the expected casualties of preparations and planning.

All reserve units were called up, along with volunteers, though they were going through heavy training before being declared battle ready. Britain would never have the largest army, so they were continuing to make a well trained and equipped one. Local militias were provided additional training, most of which included working with costal defences. The current force size was eniugh to convince the government conscription was not needed at this time, while light rationing was imposed. Britain would be fighting many tough enemies, the only one to on multiple fronts, but it felt ready to fight as hard as it could.

We will not take arms for your need, as both of you; france and UK alike, will not benefit our nation. If France does not harm us, we will do the same to them, but if France attacks, only then will Prussia join the war on your side.

The messenger arrived I London and stepped off the ship, in his hand was a very important letter meant for the British government. Specifically the King. It was from president Idin and it was of urgent importance it reached the King of Great Britain. There was a chance to be had, few even knew of its existence, apart from President Idin and the Messenger, only Lady Chancellor Kweller and General Kusaila knew it existed and while both were very loyal Idin made sure to have the boy be no one either of them knew so they could not send someone to intercept him if they were turned. The Berber republic was still young, some pro ottoman sentiment remained and more dangerously so did slight divisions between the tribes. However they had stayed together so far perhaps that would continue.

The messenger boy also name Kusaila (a Berber folk hero), was picked up and taken to his destination and the letter was delivered to the Prime Minister.

I trust this message finds you in a time of need. And I will not waste your precious time with pleasantries. The Berber Republic has an enemy in the Ottomon's but also in the other Christian nations that abandoned it so long ago when we were conquered by the Arabs. However, god has proven his greatness and we have broken our chains, we crushed the Ottomons and secured our Freedom. Yet there now resides a shadow on the horizon in the shape of France, and Iberia. We see they will not simply stop when they have crushed you and your few allies. Thus we make a simple but straightforward proposal. We will open a second front on France and Iberia by sending troops to their very homelands. However, when this happens you will see that we also need allies. For the Berber people to risk their freedom now for you you must become a true friend, and promise to battle the Ottomons and any who dare attack the Republic. For now I will take you answer as a yes or no to invade as well as your promise to support Berber Soveriegnty.
