Mechanics
During the 19th century, Thomas Edison discovered a previously unknown element called Core, capable of powering any machine with relative ease, however, the rarity of the substance caused it to be conserved quite heavily by the powers of the world, to the point of hoarding. During the 20th century, war swept through Europe and nations began building armored vehicles to break through the trenches that were causing stalemates.
Eventually it was proposed that armor might be built, for use by people, based on the same armor of the armored fighting vehicles. These mechanized humans would be called "War Mages." teenage girls, due to their light weight, were eventually picked to fulfill the role of mage, although their armor was prone to malfunction, thus limiting their use. A side-effect of the Core was that it prolonged their life unnaturally, so that a 15 year old mage who fought in WW1 could well appear the exact same age into the 1930's.
After the war, the Treaty of Versailles ordered the disarmament of War Mages, and banned their use by the Continental Powers. In 1933, Adolf Hitler came to power and rearmed Germany, approving of the creation of more War Mages. During the Second Italo-Ethiopian War, Carro Veloce mages along with aerial mages saw use against the Ethiopians, the latter inflicting devastating casualties with their machine guns. Type 97 Chi-Ha mages proved to be a ferocious foe for the Chinese army in the Second Sino-Japanese War against more outdated counterparts.
The Spanish Civil War was the testing ground of new technology, mages being amongst them. The Panzer I, T-26, and L3 mages were the most prominent ground mages, although others saw combat.
Fire was kindled over Europe once again, as Nazi Germany invaded Poland, sparking a declaration of war. The fire transformed into a forest fire as the Germans invaded France and War Mages once again saw brutal combat. For five years, the world was at war, more and more War Mages being created, depleting the Core reserves of nations more and more. Like the other soldiers, the War Mages fought to the literal bloody end, but in the end, the Allies triumphed. Mussolini was executed by partisans and hung upside the town square, Hitler ended his life by suicide rather than be captured, and Tojo was tried and sentenced to hang.
The year is now 1946, a whole year after the Second World War has ended. Since the Nuremberg Trials, the War Mages from Germany and Japan (along with some Italian mages who remained loyal to Mussolini or were commandeered into the Waffen SS) have been interned in an Academy, since no agreement can be made about their future. Some Allied mages have also been put in the "War Gears" Academy, to keep an eye on, and help integrate the former Axis mages. It appears that peace may be at hand.
Recently, however, a large amount of Core was stolen and a mage was found murdered by police. The tension between the East and West seems to be growing, especially between the ideologically opposed USA and USSR, which might prove to be a hindrance to the investigation. What this means is unclear, but a storm is coming.
IC
Rules
1. No godmodding (obviously.)
2. Nothing above PG-13 (again, obvious.)
3. All Mages must be female.
4. Your Mage must personify a military craft during WW2.
5. To ensure high quality, a minimum of a paragraph is required in an IC post. It must also be grammatically correct, but minor errors will be overlooked.
6. While mages do generally live longer than ordinary mortals, they can be killed (especially if the Core of their armor is penetrated). See #1.

Name: Wilhelmina Fuchsl
Personification of: Panzer IV
Gun & Armor Description:
Physical Appearance (pic if possible): Für der Führer.
Personality: a staunch admirer of Prussian values, Wilhelmina is one of those people who gets up early, eats all the breakfast, and goes to work early. She despises slackers. She is also very naive and prudish about sexuality due to having little experience with the opposite sex (and ignoring invites from other mages to "have fun" in the barracks).
Bio: born in Northern Germany in 1921, Wilhelmina's father had been a veteran during the Great War, and her mother a schizophrenic who had to constantly be looked after. During the 1920's, her father was an adherent to National Socialism, but was never politically active. During the 1930's, the Nazis began to rearm Germany and Wilhelmina was chosen after tests to become one of the first Panzer IV mages. She saw combat in France, North Africa, Yugoslavia, and the Battle of the Bulge, before finally being captured after the Führer's death.
