Episode 1: Escape From Memphis

Image

The world has been plunged into chaos, the dead roam the world as the numbers of survivors decline. The American government has collapsed plunging the country into chaos. The human pysche has disintegrated back to only one motive, survival. Many believe hope is lost, some talk of sanctuary at Ottawa. Some, in Australia. But many survivors have lost hope all together, and continue to roam America awaiting their fate. Many commited suicide in the first weeks of the apocalypse, most got killed by walkers attempting to leave or enter the big cities. Those who did survive managed to avoid large cities or were able to escape the cities all together. Now they must survive together, many will die, relationships will be made and broken, but in the end there must be hope. . . somewhere.

Now how this starts is each character in the RP is going about their day to day lives. Whether it's working at a factory, slacking off at school or enjoying a vaction. The Zombie Apocalypse has been going on for a couple of days now, nothing to serious. Just a couple outbreaks here and there, nothing the military can't handle. But this day is different, the outbreaks are out of controll and at 3:30 PM this afternoon the city was placed under lockdown. The military is struggling to contain the outbreak and parts of the cities are blocked off completely due to the amount of walkers. It's up to the characters to get out of the city, reach their destination, Bartlett. A small little town not far outside of Memphis.

I WOULD ASK THAT NOBODY GETS THEIR CHARACTER KILLED OFF IN THIS SEASON. YOU MAY CREATE A NPC COMPANION FOR YOUR CHARACTER THAT DIES OFF IN THIS SEASON.

Anthony is sitting at his desk working on paperwork. He looks up at the clock: 3:28 P.M. Damn so close to break and only a couple of more papers to do, thought Anthony. After Anthony gets done with his work the clock says 3:30 P.M. Anthony gets up and starts to go.
"Andy," said a stern voice from behind him. Anthony turns around and looks at the guy. It's the Chief.
"Yes sir?" questioned Anthony.
"Where are you going?" asked The Chief.
"I was going to that new doughnut place a couple of blocks away."
"Well before you do I want you to go down to the park. There is a strange thing going on over there. There's a guy biting people. Go down there and stop the guy."
"Alright." said Anthony. He turns around and starts to walk away.
"Hold on." said The Chief. Anthony stops and turns around.
"What is it, sir?"
"Take your partner, Leon Jones, with you."
"Alright, sir. Leon. Let's go."
Leon gets up and follows Anthony out of the police station.
-------------------------------------------------------------------
After a minute the police car gets to the park. It stops.
"Alright here it is." said Anthony.
They get out of the police cruiser and look out over the park. They see a guy biting people and the people that are bit dying. They also see at least three other people like the guy.
"What's going on?" asked Leon to no one in particular.
"Don't know. Hey look there's a soldier let's go ask him." said Anthony. Leon and Anthony run over to the soldier.
"Hey. Soldier" said Anthony. The soldier turns around and points his gun at Leon and Anthony.
"Halt. State you name and intentions."
"Hey. Hey. Take it easy. Take it easy. We're not one of those things in the park. I'm Anthony Smith from the Tennessee Highway Patrol. I was sent here to investigate what's going on. Do you know whats going on?" said Anthony as he puts his hands up.
"I don't know. The guy is biting people and they're dying. After a while they wake up acting like him." said the soldier.
"That's weird. Look out." said Anthony. Suddenly a walker comes up and bites the soldier and kills him. Leon freaks out and shoots the walker.
"Dude what the fuck! You just shot a human." said Anthony.
"He wasn't acting like a human." said Leon.
"Still you don't shoot a human!"
"He was biting a soldier. What was I supposed to do?"
"I don't know."
"Hey. Hey. Hey. Listen he's waking up."
"What did he say happens."
The soldier suddenly jumps up and attacks Leon. The soldier bites Leon on the neck. Anthony shoots the soldier. Leon is dying. Anthony kneels down next to Leon.
"Leon. Leon. Hang in there buddy."
"I'm dying dude."
"Hang in there, Leon"
"Just shoot me before I end up like him."
"No. I won't let you die." Leon coughs a couple of times and takes his last breath.
"No. Leon." Anthony pulls out his pistol.
"For you buddy. For you." Anthony pulls the trigger and shoots Leon. Anthony gets up and shoots two walkers. He gets in his patrol car and heads to the outskirts of town.

It was just another day for Chris he got up took a shower, got dressed in his uniform, and ate some breakfast he turned on the TV and flipped to the local news to catch up on what’s happening in Memphis. It was more or less about the same thing they were reporting this past few days, about random people getting bit by maniac’s they claimed that the cause for this was rabies. Chris turned off the TV and got in his car, he hoped that he wouldn’t have to deal with any of the crazies today, he drove to the police department and enter into his workspace.

It was a few hours into his job Chris was filing paperwork as usual until he heard someone call him by name, he turned around and noticed it was the chief himself.

“Chris good to see you working hard.” Said the chief
“Oh sir thank you, I try to get by.” Chris said in a joking tone
“Well enough of idle chat I have a job for you, I am pretty sure you heard about the bitings happening around the city. Well we are short on officer’s so I need you to head down towards the park and deal with this biter.”
“Yes sir, I’ll handle it with caution.” The chief left and Chris let out a sigh, and got up to head to his police cruiser he drove to the park.

Upon coming up on the park Chris notice the soldier’s gathering around forming a barricade around the park it was either to keep something from coming out or to keep people from getting in. Chris got out of his cruiser and headed towards one of the soldier wondering what was happening.

“Excuse me? I am with the Memphis police department and I wa-” Chris was cut off with the soldier aiming his gun at him.
“DO NOT GET ANY CLOSER OR WE WILL USE FORCE.” The soldier shouted at Chris while his rifle was aimed at him.
“Whoa! Okay! Just put the gun down.” Chris said with his hand above his heads slowly stepping back. “Look I am just wondering what is going on here.”
“That is none of your business just please stay back for your own safety.” The soldier said while lowering his rifle.
“Well I could help I am with the police department I was sent here to handle the biters.”
“I guess we could use the help.. We lost a few men since we started.” He motioned his hand towards Chris to enter the barricade another soldier meets with him and is told to escort Chris to the site. “Be careful, once your bit it’s over, and also aim for the head it seems to be the only thing that kills them.” Unknown what he meant by that Chris continue to follow the soldier they headed towards the site which was located near the fountain. Near the fountain was a huge gate and on the other side was the walkers trying to force there way in, Chris looked at them and had an uneasy feeling in his stomach he looked at the soldier.
“He-hey what’s wrong with those people?” Chris asked
“Well… we are trying not to get this public, but once you get bit by one of those things you turn into that. They are no longer human.. So try not to show any sympathy when you kill them.” The soldier said
Chris couldn’t believe what he was hearing, but he had to since it was staring right in front of him.
“So what will I be doing here?” Chris asked.
“Just head towards the tent over there we have some people that was able to escape the attack. All you need to do is stand watch over them, and be sure you maintain your distance from them we are unsure if they are infected.
The soldier walks off towards the fence, and Chris enters the tent.

Upon entering the tent he noticed there was around five people in the bed, what caught his eye was a little girl and next to her what appeared to be her mother. She most of been around ten or eleven about 5'1 of height, she had red hair and hazel eyes. She turned towards Chris.

“Excuse me? Are you a real cop?” She asked
“Of course, I am here to protect you. May I ask is this your mom?” Chris said
“Yes, she is sick a weird man attacked her and she told me to run and hide. Then the soldier’s came and told us to come with them.”
“I see… I am sure she will get better.”
As Chris was making small chat with the girl he heard gunfire outside. He quickly exited the tent to see what was happening and saw the walkers climbing over the fence attacking the soldier’s. He quickly went back in the tent and tried to escort everybody to safety, those who could move got up and tried to escape those who could not stayed behind. He look around and saw the girl again with her mother Chris quickly ran up to her.

“Come on we need to get out of here!!” Chris shouting at the girl while the gunfire continue outside.
“No! Not with out my mom!!” She screamed back holding her mother’s hand.
“Got dam it! We don’t have much time we need to leave before we both die here!! I am sorry to say this, but we have to leave her behind.” Chris said trying to be calm.
“No! No! No!” She stomped her foot.
Looking over at the entrance of the tent a walker came in walking over towards them, Chris took out his pistol and shot him in the head.
“Jesus Christ!” He shouted. He looked that the girl crying in the corner of the tent he grabbed her hand and rushed outside.
“No!! My mom!!!” She cried and screaming as Chris pulled her along.

He pulled her along escaping to his police cruiser, he put her in the passengers seat he quickly drove off entering the back roads. He started to drive towards the outskirt of town trying to escape from here, he looked at the girl as her face was still red, and dripping with tears he tried to calm her down.

“Look I am sorry that I left your mom behind, but I am sure it was what see wanted.” Chris said looking at the girl, she said nothing to him.
“Can I have your name at least? Mine is Officer Chris Ryan, but you can call me Chris, since we are going to be together for awhile I think we should get to know each other.” He said trying to be gentle with her.
“Elizabeth.. My name is Elizabeth..” She said.
“Nice to meet you Elizabeth I swear I will get you through this.”
Chris continue to drive wondering if he just made a promise he can’t keep.

Michael is working at the warehouse moving stuff off shelves with the forklift. He's working there with one of his good friends Jamie untill around 4pm, he's been working there all day. Lunch break starts and Jamie and Michael going into the break room and turn on the TV.
"Shit, shit and more shit." Michael mumbles as he flips through the channels.
"Just put the news on, see whats going on with that virus thing." says Jamie as he reads his magazine.
"Alright then, I wonder if Memphis is still going to go under lockdown." wonders Michael as he turns the news on.
*The President will soon hold a press conference. In latest news the following cities may be placed under lockdown if the virus in these area's are not contained. Memphis, Dallas and Atlanta. Many witnesses to the acts of mass murder caused by the infection have claimed that the victims appear to be dead, although these are just allegations and the reports aren't confirmed.*
"Ha, get a load of this shit, bet you ten to a dozen some kid rang up the station and told them that" Michael scoffs as he continues to watch.
"I wouldn't be so sure Mike, one of my cousins down in Georgia said his neighbour who had been dead for about a week was caught attacking a dog near the local grocery store." Jamie replies as he continues to read his magazine.
"Whatever it is it appears to be serious, if anything else happens I'm getting out of town, I'll go visit my dad in Arkansans,"
"Wheres he at?" Michael asks Jamie.
"Down near Little Rock, he moved there not long ago. New wife or something," Jamie replies as he turns his attention to the TV.
*We have just been informed we are going off the air, and cancelling our scheduled progamming system, and switching to the emergency broadcasting system. This is Paul Hogan signing off.* A Emergency broadcasting system shows up on the screen urging people to stay where they are and to barricade themselves inside untill the military comes for them. On strict orders is no one to leave Memphis as it is now on lockdown.
"Fuck, I need to go get Kevin!" Michael says panicked as he grabs his keys.
"Where the fuck is he? Didn't the TV say to stay inside. Holy shit, I caught a bus today, how the fuck am I meant to get home?" yells Jamie as he follows Michael out of the building.
As the two go outside they run into their boss

"Where the fuck are you two going? We all need to get back inside, fucking people out their biting every fucker they see!" yells their boss as he heads back inside
"We need to go, I've got a son in school and I'd like to get him out before he gets dragged off by one of those things." Michael says as he gets in his car.
"Jamie, if you're going to come hurry up, I don't have all day." Michael says to Jamie.
"Alright then, where are we going first, I gotta get my gun from my house." Says Jamie as he gets into the car.
"Well we can stop at your house on the way, then we need to get to my house quick smart, get my gun and pick up one of my neighbours, he would probably want to come with us."
"Whatever you say man, I just want to get the fuck out of here." Jamie says nervously as he winds up the windows.
The two set off through the streets, they come across a man being eaten by two walkers.
"Jesus fucking christ, go go go!" Jamie yells
"I'M FUCKING GOING CALM DOWN, JESUS FUCKING CHRIST" Michael yells as he speeds up.
They arrive at Jamies house, the front door has been busted down and two of his windows have been smashed.
"Looks like you've been robbed buddy, go have a quick look. You've got five minutes before I go, alright?" Michael tells a pissed of Jamie.
"Alright," Jamie yells angrily as he gets out of his car. "Fucking beaners going through all my shit, should've fixed up that fucking border." Jamie grumbles as he enters his house.
Michael waits three minutes before Jamie returns to the car.

"Gone, it's all fucking gone. They took everything that could've been a use to me, fucking tired of this shit." jamie grumbles as he gets back in the car.
They then drive to Michaels house. As they get out of the car they see a dead corpse out the front of Michaels neighbours house, John Whitewood.
"Jesus, look at it," Jamie says as he looks at the dead body on the ground, observing how it died. "Got it's fucking head smashed in, jesus fucking christ."
*Michael starts banging on the door,* "John! John open up, it's Michael!"
>*John moves the couch and opens up the door* "Alright let's fucking go, I'll be waiting in the car." John tells Michael as he walks out with his gun bag."
Michael goes into his house to get his gun and returns to his car.
"Alright guys, let's get to the school quickly" Michael says as he starts up the car.

This is what Jamie looks like:

The field was over crowding with children as the school held its annual sports event.

11.30am : 6th grade soccer
12 pm : pass the baton (6th to 8th grade)
1pm: Lunch
2 pm: 6th grade 200m
2.30pm : 8th grade hurdle
3.00pm : 7th grade soccer
3.30pm : 8th grade 400m

The children competed and awards were given. There was a lot of cheering, screaming, shouting and teachers trying to get the kids in order.

The eighth grade 400m race was about to start. Kevin Hemmings was stretching his legs, preparing for his race. He turned to his left to face his friend, Jim Connery, who was also competing in the race.

"Good luck," Jim smiled. He was much more competitive than Kevin. Wouldn't show mercy even if Kevin was his friend
"You too"

"Attention teachers and students, it is unfortunate that we have to stop today's event due to a national emergency. Please do not panic. Teachers, please inform parents and make sure the children are safe. Everyone is to go home now," the booming voice of Principal Carter could be heard across the field as he shouted into the megaphone.

Students were going back to their teachers and teachers were frantically calling parents of the younger kids. Jim went aside with Kevin.

"I can't believe it got cancelled. I really wanted to win this." Jim said grumpily
*Grunting noise from a distance*
"SsShh...did you hear that?"
"Hear what?" Jim wasnt interested in that at all.
*Twig breaking sound*
"Oh yea i heard it"
"What is that?" Kevin walked towards it
"Well, i guess there's only one way to find out" Jim followed behind.

They disappeared into the bushes.

As Jamie, John and Michael travel to the school where Kevin is, they continue to run into road blocks and zombies.
"Fucking hell, go back. GO BACK NOW!" Jamie says as he looks out the window of the car.
>"Jesus fucking christ! We won't get anywhere like this. I'll pull up behind an alleyway and we will walk, alright?" Michael says as he turns the car around
"I ain't fucking walking, those things are crawling out there, fucking one every square inch I tell you!" John yells as he kicks the back of Michaels seat
>"Well we don't have a fucking choice John, it's either drive into the military and get arrested for not being inside or find my son on foot and get the fuck out of here." Michael yells as he parks the car behind a small store.
>"The school is atleast a couple of blocks away, we will be there in 15 minutes, just keep a look out, alright?" Michael replies as he gets out of the car with Jamie and John.
"Alright then, you got a spare gun for me?" Jamie asks Michael
"Here, have this." John hands Jamie a colt python revolver.
"Hold your breath when you fire, and don't go shooting all willy nilly with that thing, it's fucking loud and will draw those things from a mile away"
"Thanks man, I didn't catch your name," Jamie asks as he checks out the revolver.
"Names John, John Whitewood, Texan born and raised" John replies as he shakes Jamies hand.
>"As much as I'd love for you all to get to know eachother we don't have fucking time, alright? We need to go right fucking now." Michael says as he opens up a gate to another alleyway.
Michael peaks around the corner to see two walkers feasting on a corpse.
"Alright, theres two around the. . ." John takes them out with his silenced USP before Michael can finish sentence.
"Alright, lets go boys" John says as he reloads his USP.
Michael, Jamie and John arrive at the front of the school, they keep their distance as they see absolute chaos. Parents looking for their children, walkers eating people and children fleeing.
>"KEVIN, KEVINN, Oh fuck he's on the oval, lets go. NOW!" Michael shouts as he begins to sprint up the stairs heading towards the oval at the back of the school, John and Jamie follow.
They see Kevin and his friend go into the bushes, Michael, Jamie and John rush over.

Tyler was tired of sitting in his hotel room. It was the first time he had ever left Canada and he was not going to spend it just sitting inside. "Mom I'm going outside, I'm going to the park." He called out to his mother who was sitting in the other room. She replied "alright but I want you to be careful, remember we're not in the safe zone anymore" but Tyler was out the door before she could finish taking. Tyler ran outside and was making his way to the park but something seemed different about he city. There seemed to be allot more soldiers and police running around. He had finally made it to the park but something had gone bad. There was a large barricade around the park. There were soldiers and police keeping people out and telling them to return to their homes. There were tents filled with what looked like sick people under guard. A police officer came up Tyler and said "son you need to get home now" then he kept moving. Tyler decided it was best to follow to officers instructions, so be turned around to walk home. When he turned around he ran into someone. "Sorry" Tyler said as he looked up he saw another boy, he looked the same age as him but taller with blond hair and deep blue eyes. Tyler had never seen someone more attractive in his life but before any of them could say anything someone screamed and there were gunshots. Both of the boys looked over and saw the walkers jumping ofer the fence and attacking people near the park. Soldiers and police were trying to hold them back but they were being overrun. Tyler froze he didn't know what to do. Suddenly he felt someone grab him he screamed, there was a loud bang and Tyler fell to the ground. Tyler slowly realized that he was ok and looked up and there was the boy he had ran into standing there with a gun in his hand and behind Tyler has a dead walker with a gunshot to his head. The boy bent down and helped Tyler up saying " we need to get out of here now" Tyler didn't say anything he just followed the boy out of the park shooting any walkers that got in there way.

Day 0 - Outbreak Day
3:35 PM

"-Well we're going in!" An older man in uniform shouted, he'd been arguing with what looked to be a news reporter for nearly ten minutes now. Gabe and Belle sat on the steps leading to one of the larger cargo planes, the two had mostly kept out of the arguing, which had begun immediately after the emergency landing.

The military man and his slightly younger black colleague, as well as a woman and her young son, left the small gathering of people who'd arrived on the plane that landed only a few minutes ago. As they approached the automatic doors, one of which was shattered by a bullet some minutes ago, the doors slid open and a horde of very sick looking people stumbled right into the military man's way. The small group was immediately beset upon and tore into with vicious ferocity.

Several people from the group that had chosen to stay away from the main airport building, the group Gabe and Belle had stayed with, screamed and shouted in surprise. "What?!" Belle shouted incredulously, "What was that?! What the hell?!"

"I think we should go." Gabe said a bit uncertain.

"What do you mean? We have to help them!" Belle jabbed a finger at the mass of people crowded around the military group, but she, as well as the rest of the group, wasn't exactly running to the rescue despite expressing her desire to do so.

"We can't help then now, they'll be infected won't they? Being so close to those sick people.... The Army should be here, the National Guard, someone, but they aren't so that must mean this is happening other places too, right? These are the sick people you see on the news?"

"Yeah, they are," interrupted the news reporter, unbuttoning the top of his shirt as he began to sweat nervously, "but you should know, once your infected, you're dead. I've seen it everywhere now. That's what they are, they've been reanima-"

A snarl broke up the conversation. Everyone quickly looked around themselves, checking under the cargo plane they crowded around, around the corner of a utility truck parked by them, and the group of infected still hovering around the front doors, but they couldn't find the source of the noise. Until it fell on them. With a scream the reporter went down with one of the infected attached to his throat.

"The pilots!" Belle shouted, pointing up as another crawled off the top of the plane and landed on another of the group. If the large batch of cannibals at the doors didn't scatter the group then having two of them falling on their heads certainly did. The people raced off in different directions, dispersing into groups of two or three, but Gabe grabbed Belle's hand and jumped onto the utility vehicle. Quickly finding the keys still in and no problems with the start up he slammed the gas and shot straight for the tall, barb-wire topped fence.

The force at which the vehicle slammed through fence was enough to send them slamming into a wall across the street, though the momentum was slow enough as to not jerk it's passengers too much. Gabe quickly found the outside to be just as unfriendly, "In there!" He pointed to a building just beside the one they crashed into.

Racing inside, and getting a good look through the large glass windows, revealed the place to be some kind of local restaurant. "Into the back! Knock over the chairs!" He began pushing the chairs, which had been placed on top of the tables as a sign of being closed, as Belle contributed, also knocking down chairs and a few tables. The two ducked into the back of the building, the kitchen, and peeked around the doorway.

It turns out the infected were a bit slow, only five stood banging on the glass windows, and without much force at that. They shared a relieved smile, "Is America always like this?" Belle asked breathlessly.

Gabe laughed, "Oh yeah, all the time." He teased, but he sounded just as winded. "Come on, we can hole up here until the army does something."

"Great, I'm starving. I've never been fond of airplane food. Can you cook?"

"Macaroni, but that's about it. You?" He smiled, pushing the troubles of the outside world to the back of his mind.

"Lucky for you I have pride in my native Malaysian cuisine. And Japanese cuisine. And Chinese. And Thai. And-"

"Alright!" He interrupted I get it. "You can cook Asian foods."

She laughed, "I was going to say; I make a mean Manwich!" She plucked a can of the stuff from a cabinet and held it up Simba-style. "Turn that thing on!" She pointed at the stove with an overly dramatic flourish.

~Time Skip - 5:00 PM~

"There's more of them now." Belle said worriedly. The glass had given out an hour ago, but the infected had been slowed by he mess of chairs and tables. "We should go."

"Yeah," Gabe agreed. "I don't think the army is going to be of any help today. We should move to a different building at least."

A sudden gack gack gack gack gack! interrupted them. The sound was very close and getting closer. "The army?" Belle asked uncertainly.

"Maybe, we should check." The two grabbed their bags, a could black duffel bags filled with their belongings, clothes, and some food. Both Gabe and Belle ignored the weight of chef's knives in their pockets. They weren't prepared to use them, but had silently agreed to take them.

Stepping onto the roof of the building, accessed via fire escape, the two peered over the edge at a group of soldiers below. The men were firing a steady stream of bullets at anything that moved. A mass of infected moved out of the restaurant, the ones that had been caught in the chairs finding it easier to get back than go through.

A small girl stepped out from across the street, closely followed by an older woman. The soldiers hesitated, as if unsure, then they opened fire, gunning the two girls down in cold blood. Belle gasped in surprise, a bit of panic showing on her face. The two otherwise remained silent, crouching down on the roof, hiding from the men.

~Time Skip - 5:45 PM~

Jumping from roof to roof carried the two towards the city's edge, which was much more populated than the city center, of at least more populated in living people. Standing on the roof of what was probably another restaurant, Gabe had a hushed conversation with Belle, whispering to keep the people below from noticing them.

"We shouldn't mix with them, some of them are already fighting each other and while the army isn't killing people here yet I'd rather not stick around for when they get the order." He said, stopping her from rushing down the fire escape. "Look," he said, pointing to a barricade. "They're properly quarantining the entire city, we can't get out. And you saw those things, they eat people! Chances are everyone down there is attracting there attention."

Belle nodded slowly, finding his arguments sound. "We should help them..." She looked down, "We can't just leave them to die." She sounded unsure, finding herself testing the limits of the rules of survival, rules that now held dominion over Memphis.

"You're right, we can't." Gabe surveyed the people below, trying to decide what they could do. "The barricade, we need to take it out. There was that truck back further in the city, we can raid it before these people decide to go further in." He was referring to an army truck that had been ravaged by the infected when the passed on the roof over it. It sat half way turned into an alley, mostly out of sight. "The infected have probably wandered off by now, we can get the weapons, maybe a grenade and blow a hole in the barricade, it'll cause enough of a distraction that the others can force there way through."

"Alright." Belle agreed quickly, eager to help.

~Time Skip - 6:15 PM~

"We can take it." Assured Gabe, leaning around the corner of an alley. There was an infected happily munching on some poor soul. "Just- just a knife to the heart, or the neck, either will kill someone, it'll probably take one of these out too."

"Gabriel! Should we really kill one of them?! What if they're still alive?!" Belle whisper shouted.

"Those people at the edge of the city need help, so does that person," he pointed to the corner, "but we can't help him! So we have to do what we can. Besides, this is one less person to spread the disease." He took a deep breath, fortifying himself for what he had to do. Belle nodded, still uncertain.

"Now, put your hand over your heart, make sure you know where it is. When you stab him, get him the first time so he can't bite you. I'll try first, but if I can't get it you have help me. Okay?" He took Belle's hands in his, trying to give her some of his strength.

"Alright." She said taking a deep breath. She suddenly saw something over Gabe's shoulder. "GABRIEL!" She shouted.

He spun around, just in time to catch the infected man, who'd been attracted to the sound of the duo's conversation. The man was strong, and Gabe couldn't push him back. "Belle! Get behind and kick the back of his knee!" She scrambled to do as he ordered, barely halfway around the back and she was already swinging her foot into the man's leg. He fell backwards easily after that. Twirling somewhat to crash into the wall. Gabe jumped on him, pinning him to the wall. "Belle! The heart!" He gritted out through the strain.

She jammed her hand into her pocket, nearly cutting herself, and ripped the large chef's knife free with minimal struggle. She jabbed it into his ribs, vaguely in the area the heart would be, but the man gave no indication that there was any effect at all. "Damn it! How do we kill it?!"

"It moves! Muscle functions are controlled by the brain!" Gabe shouted, giving up on stealth as the struggle knocked over a glass bottle that shattered loudly on the sidewalk.

"What does that mean?!" She shouted in return, not making the connection fast enough.

"Stab it in the head! Through the top, downward thrust, as much force as you can to break the skull!" He struggled to stay on top, but the infected's flailing arm tripped him. The man was now on top of Gabriel, barely held away. A sudden force jerked the man, then he stilled.

"Gabriel?" Belle asked cautiously. He pushed the body off him, standing up and sweeping the woman into a hug.

"I'm okay, we're good." He reassured her. "That noise will attract others though, we have to be quick." Belle wiped the beginnings of tears from her eyes, taking another fortifying breath. They hoped into the truck, surveying the various guns and ammo. "Come on," Gabe instructed, "grab that box. We can hide them in that building and barricade the door. We'll take what we can with us, but leave the rest for others. Alright?"

"Yeah, let's do this." She gave him a reassuring look this time.

~Time Skip - 7:20~

"Keep this shell, don't use it. Keep it for comparing ammo that you come across." Belle was now in full survivor mode, and spilling advice as she thought of it. "You'll need it with your nonexistent knowledge of guns." The two shared a grin, but a quickly became serious again.

"Are you ready?" Gabe asked.

"Yes." She said without hesitation. "Are you?"

Gabe was a bit more cautious, but his answer was still prompt. "Yeah, do it." He thre himself forward, stepping up onto the short barrier around the roof of a building close to the main barricade. He opened fire, the gun, he unsure what kind, but he knew it was capable of rapid-fire, was loud, drawing the attention of everyone and sending them scurrying for cover. In the confusion the soldiers were busy ducking behind a car, so they didn't notice the grenade Belle through, though they noticed it when the barriers were blown to bits.

With the primary object taken care of the two ducked back onto the roof and made a quick sprint across several similar roofs. The soldiers ever found them, because as soon as the barrier was down people were driving their cars out, pushing anyone and anything that got in the way out of it. The soldiers tried to stop them, pulling their trucks out in front of them, but he distraction worked and soldiers from other blockades raced to help, which left their own barriers unintended. They were promptly smashed as more cars and trucks bolted from the city.

"We should go now." Gabe said quickly, "Grab your bags, that van looks abandoned, we can escape with the others."

"Alright." She said, but her smile was infectious and soon Gabe was grinning too. "We did it." She stated excitedly."

"Yeah, we did. Now let's go."

Chris continue to drive on the back roads heading away from the city a lot of things happened in just the past hour. First he was doing his daily routines on the job busting local thugs, and dealing with paperwork and now he is fighting off the undead while trying to take care of a little girl. Chris was spacing off hoping this was all just a bad dream until Elizabeth asked him a questioned which brought him back to reality.

“Where are we going?’ She asked, with a concerned tone
“Some where far away from this city, where we will be safe.” He said
“That doesn’t answer my question. Where are we going exactly?” She said in a displeased voice.
“Look I don’t really know at the moment, but what I do know is that it is much safer away from the city. Until I come up with a plan we need to stay alive, remember I promised I would get you out of this alive.”

Chris said still doubting his own words, he thinks even Elizabeth could tell he was unsure about what Chris was saying. Along the way driving he noticed a sign saying their was a gas station a mile from here he thought to himself that it might be a good idea to fill up, and loot for food while he was there. He continues to drive until he reaches the gas station, upon entering the parking lot he noticed that the windows were broken, and there was graffiti on the wall that read “THE END IS HERE.” Chris pulled up and exited the car opening up the trunk of his cruiser.

He looked over to Elizabeth and said. “Stay in the car, if anything happens honk the horn and I’ll rush over okay?” she replied with her nodding her head. Chris went over to the trunk area to take an inventory count of his weapons, he counted the amount of ammunition he had and weapons and jotted it down in his notepad he read it back.

My supplies:

1 M1911 with 41 bullets left.
I used a bullet today to take down a biter

1 870 Remington with 32 shells left
It was standard issue for the police to have one in every cruiser. I am sure this will come in handy during this hell hole.

1 police baton
I better use this to conserve my ammunition if I hit them hard enough in the head I’m pretty sure they will go down.

2 days worth of rations
Standard issue rations given to us in a time of crisis’s I only have enough for about two day’s maybe even one day since there is two of us here. I hope to find more food in the gas station.

Chris flipped over to the back side to write down what happened today.

Today I woke up and got ready for work as usual, I was told by the chief to deal with the biters in the park upon entering the park the military had set up a barricade. I was able to enter the park to assist the military with any problem’s there I met Elizabeth, all hell broke loose and I took Elizabeth with me and got out of the park I ended up taking the back roads away from the city. I am at the gas station hoping to find supplies for the both of us.

Officer Chris Ryan

He put the notebook back in his front shirt pocket, and grabbed his Remington and loaded it up with eight shell‘s, and then closed the trunk. He was unsure what was waiting for him up ahead, but it was necessary for the both of them to survive he continued towards the entrance, and slowly opened the door.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

When entering the gas station he saw that it was a mess, the products on the shelves was scattered all over the floor, there seemed to be a blood stain on the wall and ground. He touched the blood on the ground and noticed that it was still wet, there must have been an riot here a few hour’s ago and things went bad. Chris got up and searched the area he found a few cans of beans, and corn It would probably last him three days at the best maybe even five if he rationed it out he grabbed a plastic bag behind the counter to put the cans. He looked around behind the counter to see if he could find a switch to fill up his cruiser, but it all said out of order. Chris decided to look around the storage place he thought they might have a gas can in the back.

Chris tried to open the storage door, but it was locked. This didn’t stop Chris from entering he started to kick the door once, and twice, and finally on the third time it flung open . Dead silence Chris enter the storage with his shotgun in hand he slowly moved with caution as he took his first step inside a walker lunged at him. “Fucking shit!” Chris shouted, he had his gun pushed up against the walker’s chest trying not to get bitten. The walker pushed Chris onto the wall aiming for his neck, Chris retaliated with him kicking his knee caps and quickly jumping back trying to catch his breath the walker was restless and continue for him. Chris quickly aimed his shotgun on the top of his head and squeezed the trigger *Pop* the walker was down for the good.

“That was too close…” Chris said to himself

He checked himself real quick to see if he was injured he was fine a couple bruises but he would live. Chris made his way to the back and found the can of gasoline he needed and preceded back outside to fill up his cruiser. As he finished filling up he put the empty can in the trunk incase he came upon a working gas pump, he took out his notebook to make an update on his inventory.

My supplies:

1 M1911 with 41 bullets left.

1 870 Remington with 31 shells left
Used a shell today to take out a biter, It was worth it since it saved my life

1 police baton

5 days worth of rations
Today I found some cans of bean’s and corn, If I am lucky this can last us for about a week.

1 Empty gas can
Found in the storage place of the gas station can be reused if I can find a working gas pump.

Officer Chris Ryan

He got in his cruiser again and was greeted by Elizabeth

“I heard a gunshot are you okay?” She said
“I’m fine just a biter came at me, but he wont harm anyone anymore.” Chris said
“Well.. I’m glad your okay, but did you find anything?” Elizabeth asked
“Yeah I hope you like beans.” Chris said
“Yuck! I hate beans!!” Elizabeth said making gagging noises
Chris started to laugh “Me too.” He said

Chris pulled out of the parking lot and continued on the road still unsure where they were heading.

Bryson woke to the blaring noise of his alarm clock, he grumbled to himself as he reaches over to smack the alarm off. Successfully doing so he mumbled out, "Holy shit, guess I really was tired." as he saw the time being 2 PM. He trudged his way to the bathroom where he took his "morning" shower and brushed his teeth, as well as groomed himself.

After getting out of the bathroom he approached the window with nothing but a towel around his waist to take a look outside, ignoring the weather he shook his head at the dozens of Military Infantry and HUMVEES, "Can't believe all this shit is happening." He went over to the closet after looking at the military operating out of one of the many plazas of the University of Memphis. When he opened the closet he grabbed an already set suit, black jacket, pants and a blue tie with white shirt. He nodded to himself in the mirror, "I'm sure I'll get the internship." He grabbed a grabbed a stack of papers that clarify he's applying for an Internship position with a Tennessee Senator. As he organized the papers he opened up the door and headed to the kitchen.

When Bryson got to the kitchen he found a note from his girlfriend Brianna that she went across the state line to Mid South College for a health seminar. He took a deep breath, "Christ Brianna, I hope you didn't go alone with all this shit going on." He put the note on the counter behind him and opened the fridge to grab a beer, which he chugged a good half of after opening it, he gasped refreshingly and smiled as he put the beer back on the shelf, "I'll finish you later bud." He grabbed his stack of papers again and made his way to the front door of the house. Bryson checked his watch on the way out, "3:30... damnit. I'm gonna be late. And I'm sure I'll be stopped every mile for some fucking checkpoint.."

As Bryson approached the front door he heard several loud bangs and pops come from the University plaza outside the house, and soon after that a banging came from the door along with a low growling and hissing sound. Bryson immimmediately took several steps back from the door. He turned over to a nearby window that got broke through, multiple men cracking it open to break into the house. Bryson screamed, "Get the fuck out of bere!" To which they replied with a gunshot landing on the roof above Bryson. "Shit!" Bryson yelped out as he ducked down to the ground, he proned himself to the back door and when he opened the door he darted out to the outside garage where there was no car, "Fuck! Brianna has the car!" He darted over to a bike on the side of the garage and rode off as a roar of gunfire picked up all around him. People clambering over people blocking his path, Bryson pedalled quickly away from the University, whispering to himself, "Fuck, fuck, fuck."

Anthony turns down a small neighborhood road on the outskirts of Memphsis. He stops his patrol car in front of a house. The house is average looking with two floors and a white base color. Anthony starts to cry at the sight. This is his house. He looks at the driveway and sees a light blue Ford Focus, Annie's car.

"Annie." said Anthony as he gets out of his patrol car. He runs up to the front door. He tries to open the door. It's locked.

"Shit. Annie has the key." He puts his head on the door and sighs. He looks over and sees a window busted out. He walks over and peers in. It's pitch black.

"Annie!" Nothing. He looks down and grabs his flashlight and turns it on. Anthony climbs through the window. CRUNCH!! CRUNCH!! CRUNCH!! Anthonymakes it to the light switch. CLICK!! Nothing.

"Damn. The powers out." Anthony heads to the stair. He looks up the stairs takes a deep breath and walks up. CREEK!! CREEK!! CREEK!! He finally reaches the top of the stairs and looks down the hall. He walks down the hall and passes two doors, his son, Levi, room. He stops in front of a door at the end of the hall. The door has a sign and it says: Mr. and Mrs. Smith.

"Annie!" Anthony puts his ear on the door. He hears movement on the other side of the door.

"Annie. I'm coming for you, Annie." He grabs the door handle. It's locked. He take a step back and kicks down the door. He steps into the room.

"No. No. No, no, no." On the bed is Anthony's wife, Annie, and she's...a walker. She's tied down to the bed. She's chomping at Anthony. Anthony, whose crying, grabs a chair and sits next to the bed.

"Look, Annie, I'm sorry I didn't make it. It pains me to see you like this. I just got to say...I love you. I love you Annie." Anthony breaks down in tears. He pulls out his Glock and starts petting Annie's head.

"I love you, Annie. I love you." Anthony pulls the trigger. Annie stops moving and Anthony breaks down again.

"I love you, Annie." Anthony says over and over as he's crying. Anthony stops crying and stands up.

"Goodbye, Annie. I love you." He leaves the room and heads towards his sons room. The place has been ransacked and his comic books are gone. There's a note on the bed. It says:
Dear Dad,
I'm so sorry about mom. She was in the garden and she got bit by one of those freaks. I killed it. It wasn't human, dad, it was something else. Anyway I'm heading to the small town of Bartlett. Meet me there dad. I'll see you.
Love your son,
Levi

"Levi's got to be alive. He has to. Anthony leaves to room and heads downstairs. He goes to the kitchen and takes cans if food. He also grabs three kitchen knifes. Anthony heads out and there's two walkers, apparently drawn out by the gunfire. Anthony stabs both of them and leaves.

Donald sat on the couch with his 12 year old son and 12 year old daughter watching a cartoon show marathon about a triangle nosed kid and his british brother who invent things everyday while their sister tries to prove to their mom that they actually do invent things everyday. While they watched Donald decided to get up and fix them some peanut butter and jam sandwich's for lunch. The oven clock read 12:00 pm.
He had them (the kids) stay Home that day because of the sickness in the news. In the other room he had wood burning in the fire place. At the front door they had rucksacks packed for the camping trip they were going to go on later that day.
_______________
During the episode a national warning message from the president came on. He was making a national address talking about the zombies and how it had been an honour to serve the country. In the background from his address at his desk one could see the streets of Washington, D.C. Where once the streets were filled with peace and the forefront of capitalism and now had soldiers shooting at hordes of pale humans. Afterwords following a small moan from an unknown source the president signed off.
---------------
"Dad?" Asked his son. "Yes?" Replied Donald. "Who was that?" "That? That was the president of these United States.". His daughter then asked "Dad? Why were those soldiers killing those people?", to which Donald replied by saying "I'm not sure".
The cartoon then returned.
______________
Time jump to 3pm
Donald turned off the tv and put on an Lp. His kids went to read.

*ooc: I can edit this to make it longer later if you wish but I'm going out to eat so it's not the best post right now. I apoligize.

Chris continue on the road with a full tank of gas, he looked on the side of him to see Elizabeth kicking her feet up and down trying to keep her self from begin bored. She noticed the police scanner and started to fiddle around with the button’s on it wondering what it does, she later gave up and asked Chris what it was.

“Chris what’s this black box thing?” Elizabeth asked pointing at the police scanner.
“Oh that’s my scanner.” He said
“Scanner? What’s that do?” She had a dumbfounded look on her face.
“Well It’s used to contact the police department, and any other officer’s in the area.” Chris said. Then it came to him that he could try to make contact with other survivor’s on the scanner it was worth a shot.
“Thanks Elizabeth you gave me a good idea.”
“You’re welcome!” she said with a big smile on her face.

Chris turned on the scanner and switched it over to the emergency broadcast.

“This is officer Chris Ryan and I am with the Memphis police department If anyone can hear this message please respond .” He said on the scanner.

There was nothing but static on the scanner and he repeated what he said once again, and waited for a response.

THEN.

Mieszko.

Mieszko Rostowski and his family had known the Wabiszczewicz family since the days of the Commonwealth's height. Both families had lived in Sieborowice, 14 km (9 miles) north-east of Kraków. During the later years of the Communist Era, Mieszko had helped Jan's cousin's family, aunt, uncle, and grandmother escape to West Germany via Austria and, after that, moved to the Southern USA. Jan's family moved to Nebraska. Ever since then, the Wabiszczewicz's have been grateful to Mieszko and his family, and this had only added to their friendships.

Each October of every other year, Jan took a trip to Tennessee for a few weeks, usually until the middle of December, when the parts of the families that lived in America, along with Jan and Mieszko, boarded a plane and flew back to Poland to celebrate Christmas and the new year. During his stay in America, Jan and Mieszko attended various historical events and reenactments over the area, and often debated about history. During this visit, Jan was helping Mieszko finish a torso covering bit of chainmail for a later reenactment. Jan was debating about if he should make one of scale mail later on.

NOW.

(For the sake of convenience, they are both speaking in Polish to each other. I can't be bothered to translate because my Polish isn't that good, sadly, and Google Translate sucks. Mieszko's dialogue will be in blue, Jan's in black).

"Did you hear what was on the news?" Mieszko flipped some pages in a book about armor making.
"That man who won all those golfing trophies on television got into another affair?"
"No. Some new disease thats spreading around."
"Oh. No, I haven't."
"Something down in Georgia, I heard. The CDC and the military are supposed to be handling it. I checked the news a half hour ago, apparently some travelers from Georgia on vacation caught it too." Mieszko flipped another page, and moved his face closer to get a better look at the diagram. Mieszko turned to Jan. "Could you get those pliers? In the cabinet over the shelf."
Jan grabbed the pliers. "So, like that Ebola thing in Texas?"
"I'd assume so. It is kind of worrying, however with all this stuff going around. Flu and cold season is starting up soon, too."
"Isn't obesity a bigger problem in America?"
"Big people, big problems." Mieszko grinned and Jan chuckled.
Jan gave the pliers to Miezsko.
"Thank you."
Miezsko took a look at the clock.
"Damn. Jan, mind staying here for about 20 minutes? I need to pick up some rivets and bread. The stores are close to each other and only a few blocks away."
"Sure."
Mieszko opened up the garage door, he crouched under it, walked out, and closed it.

Mieszko made it to the store about 8 minutes later, where two policemen were arguing with the owner there.
"I don't fucking care," said one officer. "If you're bit, you're bit. Go to the CDC checkpoint."
"Its nothing. My son got bit a few hours ago, he's fine. He said it hurt, but he's been bitten by dogs and cats before. Its nothing!"
One officer let out a sigh. He was prepared to yell at the shopkeep one more time, but by the time his mouth was open, something else had gathered the officers' attention. They stood there, motionless, jaws dropped. The door to the back of the store opened. Out of it came this shambling mess, neck, right shoulder, right wrist, and shirt coated in blood. Mieszko stared at it. It looked like whomever he is, or was, had been in a motorcycle accident, and not counting the blood everywhere on the shambler, its skin was the same color as the suit he'd worn to Christmas parties over and over, and his Confederate Officer's uniform he so loved to walk around in at reenactments. Whatever this thing is, it walked towards his father, making those dry, raspy breathing noises and moans and groans we're so accustomed to in the show. By the time his father could turn around, it had already bitten into his neck. The cops panicked, and drew their firearms. Mieszko ran away as fast as he could, only turning to look back once. He saw at least five bullets enter the chest of it. Five. He thought. Five. How? What could survive that? How could anyone survive that? Mieszko had seen what the Soviets would do to people. He'd seen soldiers die after one shot to the chest, not counting the heart. Mieszko ran and ran, not caring about whatever he had to do anymore. After recollecting himself, he began walking back to his house. He turned a corner, saw about eight of those things, and ran.

A good ten minutes of travelling occurred for Mieszko, before he came upon a SWAT checkpoint. He heard gunfire from the back, and the SWAT officers began screaming. Mieszko walked towards the checkpoint, and outstretched his arm, beginning to say something, "What is going o-" CLACK.

They went deeper into the bushes, where taller trees grew. The leaves rustled.

"Dude, over there" Jim tapped on Kevin's shoulder.

They carefully approached the noise as Kevin's hand reached in his pocket and felt for his knife

"Oh shit, I think it's a walker or something. Heard my dad talk about those before. We should go." Jim said

The screams and shouts from the field were muffled. Kevin was oblivious to his name being called from the outside.

Kevin stood still, completely stunned at the horrifying emotionless being as it approached him slowly.

"What does it do...Will..will it kill..us.." Kevin started to back away, holding his knife out.

"Boys! Get down!" Micheal shouted.

The boys ducked as John shot the walker in the head twice.

"What the fuck do you think you guys are doing, " Micheal sternly said, while his eyes showed concern and relief.

Kevin rushed to Micheal for a hug.

John looked at Jim: "Jim, you're going home. Your mum is at the front gate."

The group now containing Kevin, Michael, John and Jamie return to the car.
"Alright, now what. We need to fucking go now." John says as he looks through a map
"Alright, take the this route" John says as he shows Michael a map pointing to a certain route in Memphis.
"Alright then," Michael replies as he turns up a corner. Kevin is seen looking out a window with a blank expression on his face.
"Is that a reciever?" Jamie says as he leans over the passenger seat.
"Yeah, but I don't know any of the channels . ." Michael replies as he is interupted by a voice coming from the reciever.
*Oh. Oh. Yes. This is Tennessee State Trooper Anthony Smith to Officer Chris Ryan. I can hear you. If you can hear me please respond. I repeat. This is Tennessee State Trooper Anthony Smith to Officer Chris Ryan. I can hear you. If you can hear me please respond.*
"Hello this is Jamie Armstrong, I've got three people with me. We are in a white four wheel drive heading towards the outer suburbs of Memphis, you copy" KEEECKKK! Jamie says while speaking through a speaker attatched to the reciever.
"What the fuck are you doing, if it's a cop he'll be trying to stop us from leaving!" Michael yells as he smacks the reciever out of Johns hand.

"This is.....the park is overrun.....we've got to get out of here.....AHHHHH!!"

"Damn this is serious."

“This is officer Chris Ryan....with the Memphis police......anyone can hear.......please respond.”

"Oh. Oh. Yes. This is Tennessee State Trooper Anthony Smith to Officer Chris Ryan. I can hear you. If you can hear me please respond. I repeat. This is Tennessee State Trooper Anthony Smith to Officer Chris Ryan. I can hear you. If you can hear me please respond." KKKEEECK! (OOC: Radio sound)

"Come on, damn it, please hear me."

(OOC: This is directed to Saint Bergade, sorry if I spelled your nation wrong. Also this is rushed. I won't post tomorrow I have a band competition.)

Chris was still hoping for anyone to respond waiting for any sign’s of hope then he heard it on the scanner.

“Tennessee Sta- Troo.. Anthony Sm- to Officer Chris Ryan. If you can hear me please resp-. I repeat. This is Sta- Trooper Anth- Smith to Offi- Chr- Ryan.”

The signal was weak, and part of the message was cut off, but Chris was able to make out what he was saying he had little time before he lost the signal. He grabbed the scanner and tried to contact the State Trooper.

“Yes I can here you Anthony! This is Chris Ryan the signal on my end is weak and it might go off any second now, but if you can hear this please respond!!”

Chris was unsure what else to say and thought about for a minute and asked Elizabeth to open up the glove compartment to grab his map. He looked at it for a good minute and decided that it would be best to rest for the day at a near by hotel or inn and if possible try to meet the state trooper there. He grabbed the scanner again hoping he didn’t lose the signal to the trooper.

“This is Chris again if you can hear this I am heading to the Motel 6 on the back roads of Memphis if you have the time try to meet me there.”

The radio cuts off again into static Chris hoped his message reached Anthony. He looked over to Elizabeth who fell asleep in the passenger chair it had been a long day for the both of them. He continued to drive on the back roads heading for the hotel.

(OOC: That’s alright man. Good luck on your competition.)

Donald turned off the tv and put on an Lp. His kids went to read.

Donald had his lp playing on a portable lp player and his kids were reading while listening to their Walkmans. Just then Donald heard a hard pound on his door. Don got up and peered through the peephole. The man looked as pale as the guys being shot in the presidents address but looked wounded on his arm. Like someone had bit him. The man was moaning and continued banging on the door. Donald opened the door and the man fell on him. Using his legs to keep the man off Don -in a flow of adrenaline- pushed the man off him and slammed the door on the man to keep him from moving. Don looked out into the streets to see another that looked like the guy he had pinned in the door tackle his neighbour, bite him and receive multiple gunshots to the chest. Don was shocked, he kicked the things face and called to his kids who were terrified by what was happening "Get your things!" Don ran to the fireplace and grabbed the fire poker. By the time he returned his kids had obtained their rucksacks and made it to the back door, and the zombie was getting to its feet. Don whacked it across the chest with the iron fire poker and when he didn't flinch whacked it across the face. This knocked it back through the doorway and Don locked the door after closing it. He packed up his lp player into a rectangle shaped bag bag, attacked it to his rucksack and continued. Just then the power grid in their neighbourhood went out and Don made the difficult call. They ran out the backdoor, locking it behind them and running towards the school which they essentially backed out onto. Hoping that perhaps there would be more safety there then his neighbourhood. Especially since there was supposed to be a game on today over there.

(Again, for now, Jan is speaking in Polish.)

"Its been over an hour? Where is he?" Jan flipped through the channels on the TV, looking at the various news channels. The headlines weren't about anything other than this new disease anymore. Just that. The cameras were panning on and off, reporters yelling, cops telling them to "put it the fuck away", and walkers here and there.
There was a bang at the garage door. Jan got up to go investigate, and the closer he got to the metal door, the more banging there was.
"Alright alright, I get it. I'm coming!"
Jan crouched down, reaching for the handle, pulled up, and looked at what he saw.
A good four walkers stood there, staring at him.
"What the fuck?!?" Jan moved back from them all, grabbing a hammer from the nearby table.
"Stay away! This isn't fucking funny!"
The walkers came towards Jan, and Jan hesitated, not sure if this was a prank or not.
Jan finally made the choice to bash one of the walkers with the hammer, right on the head. The walker's head caved in, dying immediately.
Jan looked over at the other three, still shambling over. This wasn't a prank. Jan ran to the door to the main house, went inside, closed it, and locked it. The walkers came to the door and started trying to bash against it.
Jan ran downstairs to Mieszko's basement.
"There is a gun safe in here", he thought, "a .22 and a Colt, Mieszko showed me earlier."
Jan began putting in random combinations of numbers into the keypad, 4216, 7831, 2221, Mieszko's date of birth, and 6124. "What the fuck is it?" Jan tried one last combination, saying it out loud in case he needed to remember it. "1....1....1....2?"

The safe popped open.
"You're fucking kidding me."

The two sat in the car speeding down the road going 100mph when they came to the city limits. It was just an all out riot. "There is no way we are going to make it out right now. There are two many walkers out. Do you have ideas." Tyler ask john. John replied "I know of another hotel near by we can take the back roads to it and we can hide out there until night. Then we can sneak out of here and head to the next town." "That's a good idea. Here you drive" Tyler said. The two switched seats. They turned around and drove down long winding back roads around the city. There were almost no walkers on the he back roads. They had only passed a few. Tyler scanned through the radio but he heard nothing. Even the emergency messages have stopped. The whole ride there was silent. Not one of them said a single word to each other. The car pulled into the parking lot of the the hotel. Josh turned to Tyler and said, "make sure your gun is drawn. Let me go first we don't know who or what is in there. The two quietly walked inside the front door. The power was still on but the open door had caused the inside of he he building to feel hot. The lobby was a mess. Things were tipped over and there was broken class everywhere. It looked as if a tornado had gone thought it. Tyler Grabbed a random key from the front desk for a room. The two silently went walked through the hotel. The building was quiet and empty they didn't even see a single walker. "Here it is room 101" Tyler said. Tyler put they key into the lock and the door opened. The two walked inside closing and locking the door behind them. Tyler turned on the he TV and began going through the channels but not a single thing played. "Tyler you need to get some rest I will wake you up when it's time to go. I will keep watch" josh said. Tyler got under the blankets of one of the beds and feel asleep as soon as his head hit the pillow. Josh sat at the foot of one of the beds watching him sleep guarding over him.

Chris continued to drive towards the hotel with Elizabeth asleep on the passenger side, it had been a long day for the two of them and all he wanted to do was rest. He came upon the hotel that he located on the map and drove into the parking lot, Chris popped opened the trunk again to grab his supplies and Remington. He entered the main lobby with his gun in hand ready for any biters that might be hiding, as he looked around he noticed all of the broken glass laying on the floor, and there was blood on the floor. It was an unholy sight Chris went behind the counter and grabbed a room key it read “Room 103.” he went back to his cruiser opened the passenger door and carried Elizabeth to their room. He put the key into the lock and the door opened he sat Elizabeth down on the bed and covered her up with the blankets, and put his supplies on the table. He took a seat on the chair next to the table and began to look over the supplies, but he was interrupted by a moaning noise at his door as he looked over it was a walker standing at his door he forgot to close the door.

“Got fucking dam it, the one time I forget to close the door.” Chris said in a annoyed tone.

Not wanting to wake up Elizabeth he took out his police baton and carefully made his was towards the walker, as it lunged at Chris he quickly sidestepped it and ran outside the walker followed along. It moaned trying to grab a hold of Chris, he took a few steps backward trying to lure him away from his room Chris then stopped his movement and he was in front of room 101. As the walker came closer Chris took hold of his baton and smacked the walker on the head, it stumbled to its knees but continued to crawl for Chris. He took another swing at the walkers head, and its skull caved in it was down for good. As he took a breather and he noticed a huge blood stained he made on the door for room 101 Chris ignored it and continued back to his own room stepping in the walkers pile of blood. As he continue to walk back to his room he left his bloody foot prints on the ground that lead to his room…

Tyler sat at the kitchen table eating breakfast with his mother and two sisters. It was christmas day and the snow was falling outside. Christmas decorations lined the house and new toys and torn wrapping paper covered the house. It was his favorite time of the year. The one time his whole family had been happy after his father died. He didn't have a care in the world. Suddenly there was a loud BANG! Tyler opened his eyes he was back in the hotel room with Josh. Tyler and Josh looked at each other. Josh threw Tyler his gun and then he grabbed his own. The two slowly walked to the door and looked through the peep hole. They saw a dead walker laying by their door that they knew was not there when they first arrived. "You stay behind me. And keep quite" josh said to tyler as he slowly opened the door. The two slowly walked out of the room and into the hall. They looked down the hall but saw no one. Josh wispered "go back inside and get you things were getting the hell out of here". "wait! Look" tyler replied pointing to the bloody footprints on the ground. Their eyes followed them to the door right next to them. "Walkers can't open doors" said tyler. Josh replied "I have an idea. Just follow me and keep quite". The two boys quietly walked back to the front desk. "They always have more than one key to each room. You find the key to the other room and I will keep watch" Josh said. Tyler jumped over the counter and began search for a key. He found one in a small box sitting under the desk. "Found it!" tyler said as he jumped back over the counter. The two then found themselfs standing just outside the door with the bloody foot prints. Josh turned to tyler and said "Listen we don't know who these people are, they may be good people and they may not but its best to not barge in there with guns pointed at them. So hide it. If we need it then bring it out and use it. And let me do all the talking." Tyler and Josh put their guns in their pants behind them. Josh said "And just in case we die" Josh leaned in and kissed Tyler but before tyler could respond josh had opened the door and they were walking in. They found a little girl asleep on the bed and a man wearing a police uniform looking at them.
