18th Masjaya Qsm Alalyh, 2nd Battalion, 1st Company, 3rd Platoon, 2nd Squadron, 1st Team, Private Ali Damash
The capital city of the Federal Republic of Masjaya, was in complete ruin following the fifth day of the fight within the city. On one side, government forces alongside Shiite Islamic Paramilitary Groups, Rugsak, Benak and Swuak Tribal Militia and foreign Shiite fighters began a defensive fight against opposition forces, Sunni Islamic Paramilitary Groups, Wajeka, Fuska, Manosbear and Heros Tribal Militia. The two forces had been battling for five days straight in the city, turning the once luxurious city inside out. Prophet Market was a good example of such fighting, the famous street being reduced to a few short buldings and rubble. Today, the Government was launching an offensive against the Prophet Market, which had been captured by the Opposition yesterday following a long and sluggish fight. The 18th was to lead the charge against the defences.
Well, the plan called for it, but so far it appeared that the commanders had not accounted for the Opposition quickly fortifying the market.
As Damash's PU-12 Armoured Personal Carrier inched forward down the crumbled road, the pebbles on the ground began to kick up and ping off of the APC. It sounded like rounds hitting the carrier, but the APC trudged on, leading two more down the road.
"All Jester 3 combat elements, we are leading the attack. Be advised, we are to make headway into the market otherwise we are to fall back to the television centre and prepare for another offensive. Hold and secure any ground. Been an honour my brothers, out." The radio on Damash's combat vest squawked as the APC continued.
"2-3!" The commander of Damash's squadron, Staff Sergeant Mahid Homaya, called out over the rumble over the APC. "Allah is with us today against the damned Sunni! Forget our previous defeats at the outskirts! Today is the day we take back our glorious capital! Today is ours!"
A cry went up in the APC, a mixture of cheering and "God is Great!". The APC quickly fell silent again as Homaya stopped talking. The APC soon stopped and the back doors open. Putting on his combat helmet, Damash pulled the bolt back on his AK-74 and leapt out of the APC. The street the APC had stopped was a small alleyway. The troops unloaded, Damash stepping out of the way while keeping his rifle trained on the rooftops, which was a common ambush place for the Sunni paramilitary units. The troops continued to unload until Damash felt a tap on his back. Backing up, Damash fell into his squad as Homaya stood at the centre briefing the squadron.
"Lieutenant General Afayad demands that our regiment gains a foothold in the marketplace so that fellow militia units can push up and exploit it. This is presumably the weakest point in the fortification. Now, brothers, we are going in with just our platoon, the rest of the company is a few kilometres away and the rest of the regiment is a lot further than that. So we are on our own for the first few hours. No fear, however, I have faith in all of you, that your training will succeed and that we will be victorious over the bastards." Homaya nodded to the platoon that had formed up.
The men endured a walk up to the market, where the men were exhausted by the heat in zero time. Staggering into shade, Damash sat down next to his team as they recuperated. Suddenly, shots rang out as Lieutenant Homaya, who was leading the platoon, collapsed alongside the platoon sergeant and the 1st Squadron's messenger.
"Contact! Find cover!" One of the government soldiers screamed before automatic fire raked the platoon's position.
Caught in the open, Damash quickly fled behind the rubble had just been sitting on a few seconds earlier. Raising his rifle, he fired back, blindly, at the general direction of the shots. The government troops scattered, trying to return fire, but failing miserably as the fight dragged on.

This RP is about a civil war-striken nation, the Federal Republic of Masjaya, a democratic Islamic country. The point of this RP is that I am trying to create a scenario similar to that of the Syrian Civil War. So, this means that you can support a side financially or with military supplies. Later on, we can get involved with our own conventional forces.
