After the death of Mao Zedong the Red Guards were ambushed by the PRA and arrested for treason. Then in 1971 the Pro-Cultural Revolution happened as Chairman Hao Zedong started to embrace the Chinese culture and religion. Major restoration of buildings that were going to ruin were restored by the People's Engineering Department of China. Also Tibetan Buddhist temples were refurbished by the PEDC as more Pro-Cultural movements occurred. Also religious relics of the temples were polished up with natural cleaning solutions.
