History is the version of past events that people have decided to agree upon.
-Napoleon I, Emperor of The French, King of Italy, Protector of the Poles and Conqueror of Europe

IC:
Map (Rought draft/Not Offical): http://i.imgur.com/pnUZDGg.png

The sun rises on the year 1860, over the gleaming city of Paris. It is a city full of good, brave men and proper women, of flowing commerce and grand buildings of all assortments; the world capital of culture and civilization. Like a phoenix, it has risen from the ashes of The Revolution, emerging young and strong as the 6 decade strong hegemon of Europe. However, underneath all the glitz and glamour lie the stains of blood that built and maintain the French Empire; celebrated in the city's crowing monument, the Arch de Triumph, in honor of it's architect Napoleon Bonaparte; worshiped as a god or reviled as a demon, depending on who you ask.

Having risen the ranks of the unstable, war-torn Revolutionary France on the updraft of his grapeshot, the young Corsican officer proved neigh unbeatable on the battlefield; taking his ragged armies and breaking the swords of both the Austrian and Ottoman Empire's before even gaining any true political rank. Single-handedly reshaping the rabble he'd inherited from the Dicatore into a world-class army, it was his sword that carried the light of the Revolution's principals across Europe, leaving the old feudal principles strewn dead in his wake. Using his tactical mastery, he defeated the Coalitions of the reactionary monarchies not once, but three times, the last completely engulfing the militaristic Prussians and bring the entire German-speaking world to it's heel and blunting the Russian bear at Friedland; the battle which shattered the fragile alliance between Great Britain and Russia. On July 7th, 1807, the two Emperors met on rafts on the River Nieman, forming the treat which would bring the first extended peace in Europe in a great while. Prussia found her territory cut apart, to be granted to the the newly-formed Duchy of Warsaw, forced into French vassaldom with the Emperor garrisoning all her fortresses. The Tsar, aligning with the French, agreed to join The Continental System; the Napoleonic Empire's program of economic warfare against the Coalition puppet-master in Britain, stepping in to protect Denmark when Britain tried to sink their navies and pry open their harbors. Free in the East, the Grand Armee and the Emperor himself were able to take part in the campaign against Portugal, Napoleon's tactical genius and the weight of numbers and cannon defeating the petty British force under General Wellington, the Portuguese in full retreat from her borders when the campaigning season started in 1808, her remaining military and government fleeing to the New World and cutting off the entirety of the European market for Great Britain. With France lifting her blockade and impressment of American shipping, and tensions building in the young nation as anti-British sentiments grew due to the collapse of the Pro-British Federalists, the last nation resisting French domination of the continent surrendered in 1809, bring about the victory of secularism, civil law, and republicanism in Europe.

Or... at least, that was the rhetoric. Despite the many promises made to the people of Europe, the Empire of the French, like so many before it, feel short of it's ideals. Despite preaching rights and order for all men, France sailed back to Santa Domingo, the same men who had freed the Poles putting the African back in chains. Despite preaching freedom of property, the French armies confiscated many churches and the estates of foreign nobility, turning them over to Frenchmen. Despite calling for self-determination and Republicanism, much of Europe remained under the rule of kings and Emperors, several of them Bonaparte's relatives. Overnight, cherished traditions were overturned, replaced by the wholly alien French systems of law, and ripping up the patriarchal relations of the landowners and church and structures of the urban guilds by the root. In the new world it was no better; France's sale of Louisiana to the young United States as a symbol of their friendship merely raised further tensions between the slave-holding South and the free North, where the Federalist party managed to survive and rebuild itself slowly as protest of France's foreign policy and attempts to depress American industrial potential; a sense of Yankee nationalism rising in opposition to the threat of Slave Power over the economy and Southern dominance undermining the Northern way of life. Other territories in the Americas, seeing their homeland overrun and puppeted by the French, chose to follow in the examples of their American brethren, gaining independence from Spain. Across the English channel and along the Amazon, the British and Portuguese continue their ancient alliance, subtly trying to undermine French dominance and playing a Great Game for influence over Asia and Eastern Europe, where tensions remain between two of France's nominal allies: The Russian Empire and The Ottoman Empire. In Asia, China remains a weak, divided entity, slowly dissolving to Warlordism and losing ground to European economic dominance, while Japan has resently been opened up to the world, bringing the traditionalist attitudes of the Shogun and his right to rule into question. The death of Napoleon II and the assent of the first Bonaparte's young grandson, Napoleon III, to the throne has caused a slight hiccup in French control; a crack in the wall which has opened the way for various repressed forces to bubble to the surface.

Rules
Rule I: Though shalt not Mod any Gods before me: Self-explanatory. Everything you do has to happen for a explainable reason, and can't be too wacky or out-of-character. An example of breaking the first principle would be having an army of 20,000 teleport to the Americas. And example of the later would be the British throwing the Portugese; their oldest and most loyal ally, under the bus.

Rule II: Though shalt not be an idle: If you're not going to be reasonably active, please don't sign up. To avoid important nations being held up, reservations will be good for 24 hours: be sure to finish them before that.

Rule III: The shalt not use they language in vain: Please keep content and discussion civil, or at least period appropriate (speaking in positive terms about slavery or acting in shock to an atheist state would thus be acceptable, within limits)

Rule IV: Though shalt remember the Cannon and kept it holy IE. The Canon is the law. If an event has already been established to have happened (by a nation reflecting on their own history, for instance) please keep this in mid and do not contradict it, and keep it in mind if need be (A war between the US and Britain in the resent past would make them reluctant to buddy-up, for instance)

Rule V: Honor thigh Limitations Most empires have ethnic tensions that will make it hard to get full support of anything or keep perfect stability. Sheer political inerta means you have to have a very successful and political-capital-endowed leader/faction or very dire circumstances to make radical changes to your social structure. Russia and The Ottoman Empire aren't industrial powerhouses who can turn out millions of guns on the drop of a hat. Keep these things in mind, and many arguments can be avoided.

Rule VI: Do Kill BLOOD FOR THE BLOOD GOD, SKULLS FOR THE SKULL THRONE. Seriously; have some conflicts at some point; just keep in mind Rule VI

Rule VII: Do Commit Adult-ness: Avoid text-speak and generally childish ways of writing; we're all adults here

Rule VIII: Don't Steal too much stuff: Gather some secret intelligence is alright, but you don't know exactly what's happening in the palace of a nation on the other side of Europe; if they're moving troops, making major visible changes, ect. you can act like you know, but if it's written in a way that seems secret, keep it secret.

Rule IV: Nothing clever to say here Covet they neighbors stuff all you want

Rule X: Don't boil a kid in it's mother's milk: If you do, you're kicked out of the RP. A general rule against being too graphic; not too much blood or gore or smexy time.

Extra Rule: Changes to the tentative map are fine; however, radical changes will require good history, and I'd rather not flood the map with tiny countries or make unbalancing changes (Like China being a colony, for instance). Unless it is by event: those will happen at the start of the game and occasionally to increase tension/make NPC nations relevant to politics.

NS Name: The United Eastern States of Europe
Nation Name: The Grand Kingdom of Scandinavia. Scandinavia
Head of State: King Haraldur II
Head of Government: King Haraldur II

Government Form:
Ideology: Fascist and Autocratic
Foreign Policy: Scandinavia try's to keep relations with Russia at a stable level to stop any chance of invasion. We consider Britain a target but fear their empire. We are indifferent to France and despise the Ottomans for their heretic religion.
Domestic Policy: The King has complete authority over the nation with all the dukes and counts loyal to him. The King does have a council however who he listens to.
Civil Freedoms 3/10:
Political Freedoms 2/10:
Economic Freedoms 8/10:

Military Size:
Military Description: (ie, quality of equipment, doctrine, etc.) The nation uses modern equipment but isn't very capable at innovating its own armaments. Currently 5.8% of the population is in active service with 2.2% in reserve.
Strengths and Weaknesses: (What is your military good at, and what is it bad at?) Scandinavias pride is its navy. Although proportionally smaller than britains, it is larger than most powers. Another main focus is Cavalry which is a vital part of the nations military. Infantry and siege weoponry aren't focused on much.

Short Description of Your Nation's Economy: The nation has an above average economy. Whilst it makes a minor amount compared to the powers of Europe, it should increase once inflation decreases. In addition, once the debt money owed to France and Britain is paid, we will hopefully have a thriving economy.
Short Description of Your Nation's Government: His grace, King Haraldur II rules with absolute power but has a council of advisors for multiple areas. Svana: Foreign Affairs. Daraldur: Commerce. Filip: Education. Tadg: Defense. Heinrich: Finance. Matthieu: Cultre.
Short History of the last 60 years: After the final formation of Scandinavia 18 years ago, Haraldur I was adored by most. However, the people of Iceland despised him. This led to two assassination attempts with the second succeeding. This left his two children, Haraldur and Sofia fatherless. Their mother was not allowed to be regent and the council watched over them. Sofia showed great intelligence like her brother, and was allowed to be educated. At the age of 16 Haraldur became king. He ruled in peace for 6 months until Icelandic nationalists rebelled. They were crushed in the end but Russia decided to capitalise and declare war. The Russians held Finland but after holding the Swedish and Norwegian border for 2 years, they accepted a white peace. To this day Hraldur has ruled and allowed his sister to be foreign representative of the crown.

Yeah, hurray tot his! Gran, it has been too long. Let's give this a little push, shall we? I'll look at China for this, I like to be tossed around by European men.

Wut...
The name's James. James Usari. Well, my name is not actually James Usari, so don't bother actually looking it up, but it'll do for now.

NS Name: James Usari
Nation Name: Celestial Empire of Great China, Chinese Empire, China
Head of State: Xianfeng Emperor
Head of Government: Chancellor Du Chenglin

Government Form:
Ideology: The current cabinet favours a more conservative policy, a policy of decentralisation and lack of government interference. The combined liberalist-nationalist opposition favours better trade relations with foreigners, especially export, and a more centralised government. All parties seem to want to end foreign involvement into China, most of all the nationalist party. The liberals could learn to live with the foreign interference.
Foreign Policy: The Celestial Empire has not lost her old arrogance. The echelons of society look down on foreigners of all kind, be it western, Japanese, southern, or anything for that matter. ‘China produces anything she needs herself, there is no need for foreign involvement!’ is a common remark in the drinking halls in mansions strewn across the land. The advent of factories, however, makes this less and less true. Many call for some form of trade with foreign investors, to modernise the Chinese economy. Some of the upper class members, schooled in prestigious French schools, have plans for this already, although the conservative government forbids any kind of Chinese-owned factories in the country. For now.
Domestic Policy: The local level still has a great deal of power, partially due to the concessions given by the Central Government after the loss of the Opium Wars. To make sure suppression of dissent and crime fighting went as effective as possible, the local rulers gained a good deal of control over their personal armies, to worsen the National Army. The emperor holds most of the power, due to the way the conservative ruling party has organised law and the constitution. Due to some very smart hired jurists from the western world, the conservative top entrenched their power in the constitution. The voting franchise was organised in such a way that the government would only be removed by such a majority as to become unworkable.
Civil Freedoms /10: Depends on the region, like all three categories. Generally 9 for the plebs, 7 for the nobility.
Political Freedoms /10: 3 for the plebs, 8 for the nobility
Economic Freedoms /10: 4 for Chinese, foreigners depend on foreign bureaucrats

Military Size:
Military Description: Oh, wow. Where do we begin? Late 16th, early 17th century European, that is what we can compare it to. Wooden artillery, flintlock muskets, pikes and swords, bow and arrow, armoured cavalry, you name it. The Chinese are hopelessly disorganised, the warlords pay for their militaries. The lead balls from one regiment don’t fit the guns of others, the regiments are loyal to food and gold, and have no discipline. On the practise fields, they do reasonable, but at the first sign of trouble, the pike wall breaks, the muskets discharge and run, and the swordsmen jump into close formations. They had no chance against the Europeans. Although, it must be said that the liberal and nationalistic opposition have tried their best to get at least some concessions from the conservatives. At least the national regiments are now equipped with some semblance of a uniform and somewhat modern weapons, be it leftovers from the Napoleonic Wars. Talks from liberals with foreign weapon producers has done some good, although the big breakthrough is somewhat far away due to the government being a dick.
Strengths and Weaknesses: It is good at scattering in the wind, and providing an endless stream of men. For the grinding machine. They are generally bad at fighting wars, though. Keeping order is also a bad point, as they tend to be the biggest thugs themselves.

SHORT Description of Your Nation's Economy: Colonial. It is based off export to Europeans and Americans, there is almost no production. China is also a big market for European goods, which balances the budget into the negatives. Another pain point for the opposition.
SHORT Description of Your Nation's Government: I did so somewhere above, in the greatest detail I could give. China is a constitutional monarchy with a parliamentary representation for the nobility. Nobody else gets a say in things.
SHORT History of the last 60 years: The same as it would have been for normal China, with the exception of the Rise of Republicanism, something blown over by European scholars. This movement sided with the foreign powers during the Opium Wars, and as a reward, the victors imposed some sweeping constitutional reforms on the Chinese government. This was also part of a popularity move on the side of both the French and the Americans, imposing this more constitutional form of government gave them at least some semblance of the guardians of peace and liberal ideals, a title lost to France long ago. The emperor remained in power, but with some of his power given to the parliament, one house of representatives. These conservative men were happy to give some of the more important powers back to the emperor, to the dismay of liberals and nationalists. They are, as of now, quite willing to engage in some form of Final Argument to equalise the constitution. Final Argument, according to Louis XIV. Ultima Ratio Res Publica.
Population of entire EMPIRE : Who knows? China is huge, and most parts haven’t even been reached by administrators yet.

That's quite the large population. This is the 1800's after all. From my calculations, Sweden, Denmark, Norway, Iceland, and Greenland combined would have somewhere between 8-9 million people.

That's quite the large population. This is the 1800's after all. From my calculations, Sweden, Denmark, Norway, Iceland, and Greenland combined would have somewhere between 8-9 million people.

Great Confederacy Of Commonwealth States wrote:NS Name: James Usari

Well, that's good then. They'll do things to you with guns and machines you never thought possible. Accepted.

Yes, 20 million today. Population growth became explosive in the beginning of the last century, due to the Haber-Bosch process. Population was much smaller during that time.

Also, a small note, fascism is not something that existed back then. That became big after the first world war. What you describe is Totalitarian Monarchism, something completely different.

Indeed. A Counter-Revolution against the dangerious Liberal ideals of France (At least in theory...) clinging to "Throne, Alter, and Sword". It's reactionary, but comparable to Facism.

NS Name: Bulgarussia
Nation Name: Kingdom of Two Sicilies , Two Sicilies
Head of State: King Joachim II, House of Murat-Bonaparte
Head of Government: Joachim II
Territorial Claims (Map Prefered): Map and Northern unoccupied Sumatra, Dutch Caribbean and a possession of the Ivory Coast left of France's.

Government Form:
Ideology: Enlightened Absolute monarchy with parliamentary representation
Foreign Policy: The Kingdom of Two Sicilies still maintains close ties with the French Empire, however they have cooled somewhat in an attempt to be less dependent on the French and it no longer being a client Kingdom. Sicilian relations for Great Britain are somewhat hot over control of the East Indies. Sicilian relations with Russia are indifferent at best, with neither having any issues that cross over each others desires. The Sicilians see the Ottomans as a threat to their expansion in Europe and Africa.
Domestic Policy: The King has absolute power over the nation, however having very liberal ideas being an Enlightened Despot. The King is advised by a parliament similar to Napoléon I's legislative.
Civil Freedoms /10: 6.5, civil freedoms remain high for the average citizens, where you can more or less live your life in peace, but with a high chance of being conscripted in the army if you country needs you.
Political Freedoms /10: 3 National, While the King operates with absolute power he is advised by a King controlled Parliament similar to the French Empire, 6 Local, The local governments of minor towns and villages are more decentralized and less constricted by National authority (Happy People, Happy Land)
Economic Freedoms /10: 8, economic restrictions are largely unopposed, and the largest company being the royally charted Sicilian East Indian Company.

Military Size:
Military Description: The Sicilian armies are quite advanced, with training by French officers. However the reliance on French advice for their Armies greatly irks Joachim II and wishes to move away from this dependence soon. Joachim is planning this with his own set of native officers, called the King's Own (Roi propre). These noble officers are set to be the new foundation for the Sicilian army, where the dependence on French training being next to none. Weapon production has also increased to an all time high, with money from the pepper, rubber, and oil from New Naples (Northern Sumatra). The Sicilian navy is the apple of Joachim eye, with it boasting an ever increasing amount of ships and sailors, the Sicilian navy is one of the fastest growing navies in the world. Currently 6.3% of the population serves in the military
Strengths and Weaknesses(What is your military good at, and what is it bad at?): The reliance on French training of the army, smaller military then the great powers.

Short Description of Your Nation's Economy: Has I covered somewhat above the nation has a steadily increasing economy from it's colony in Sumatra. It is however still smaller compared to the great powers of France, Britain, the Ottomans and Russia, but it becoming a richer nation then it has ever before.
Short Description of Your Nation's Government: Has I said above Two Sicilies is ruled by an absolute monarch with parliamentary representation for the people, it is however very King biased.
Short History of the last 60 years: Joachim I was very much a supporter of Napoléon and his empire, and in 1807 with the help of Napoléon's armies he was able to route Ferdinand III out of Sicily and crowned himself the King of Two Sicilies. His support of Napoléon would later graced with the gift of French money in attempt to settle uncolonized Northern Sumatra. This was a potentially valuable gift with the rest of Sumatra being rich in pepper, rubber, and oil. Not much can be said about Achille I, other then he continued the policies of his father, only grabbing Liberia, and a small part of the Ivory Coast in attempt to further the "Sicilian Empire". The only thing that sided against Paris was falling in love with a beautiful, yet sickly, Austrian girl who just happened to be a Hapsburg. Joachim II is where the changes where made. Being the son of Maria Ann of Austria he was raised with her opinions influencing him. This influence is what made Joachim II drift away from Paris ever so slowly, for he has ambitions that may anger the French Empire. Maybe those ambitions lie in all of Italia?

Nation Name: Kingdom of Westphalia, Westphalia
Head of State: King Jérôme II Napoléon, House of Bonaparte
Head of Government: Prime Minister Charles Louis, Count of Stade
Territorial Claims: Perhaps a bit of the ivory coast.

Government Form: French Monarchy
Ideology: Liberal Absolute Monarchy
Foreign Policy: Ever since its creation Westphalia has maintained close ties to the French Empire. While France's grip on the nation has been greatly reduced the government is still very loyal Paris. While all is calm in Germany at the moment Jérôme harbors private ambitions to unite all of Germany under one crown. Jérôme also wishes to make inroads into Mecklenburg so that they possess a Black Sea port.
Domestic Policy: Westphalia runs as a model Napoleonic state.
Civil Freedoms /10: 7
Political Freedoms /10: 6
Economic Freedoms /10: 8

Military Size: I am unsure what to put here, I am more than happy to here your suggestions.
Military Description: The forces of Westphalia are well disciplined, having French senior advisers in the military's early inception as lead to a well trained officer core.
Strengths and Weaknesses: What Westphalia has in a well disciplined army they lack in overall size, this is something Jérôme wishes to rectify. Westphalia also lacks a proper navy, while they do have commercial ships and some battle ships but nothing significant.

Short Description of Your Nation's Economy: Under Jérôme I the capitalist class flourished and with industrialization the Westphalia economy is on the rise and seems to only beginning to do so.
Short Description of Your Nation's Government: The King maintains many powers but over the past 60 years liberal reforms has made Westphalia into one of the modern nations of Europe.
Short History of the last 60 years: Over the last 60 years Westphalia as increased into one of the dominate powers in Germany, with a powerful economy backing its nation Westphalia will have a place in the sun. As Westphalia power had increased Paris grew uneasy that their neighbor and former client grows hungry over the carcass of the Holy Roman Empire. Jérôme I ruled Westphalia for 60 years seeing his nation grow stronger, with death only recently he leaves his son Jérôme II Napoléon a great inheritance and an ambition to rule all of Germany

Territorial Claims: The US on the map

Government Form:
Ideology: Imperialist (i can't believe it either)
Foreign Policy: Being only years since the war of 1812, the american view on great is somewhat hostile, many citizens wanting to take revenge after the burning of the White house. The US's opinion on France is friendly, the Louisiana territory is the heart of the US.
Domestic Policy: The US offers many freedoms to it's white population, particularity white men. Women did not have a say in government and people of African heritage were separated in the south by 'jim crow' laws.

Short Description of Your Nation's Economy: The south is on the brink of breaking of breaking away and the economics and trade of the continent are off at this point in time
Short Description of Your Nation's Government: The United States is the world's oldest surviving federation. The government is regulated by a system of checks and balances defined by the U.S. Constitution, which serves as the country's supreme legal document.
Short History of the last 60 years: Standard US history
Population of entire empire: 20 million (about) this is as close as anything could get me.

Population of entire empire: 12 Million ( if this is unfair let me know)

Accepted. Prussia has some competition now, it seems

Nation Name: The United States of America; The US or America
Head of State: President Henry Xavier
Head of Government: Vice President/Speaker of the House
Territorial Claims: The US on the map

Government Form:
Ideology: Imperialist (i can't believe it either)
Foreign Policy: Being only years since the war of 1812, the american view on great is somewhat hostile, many citizens wanting to take revenge after the burning of the White house. The US's opinion on France is friendly, the Louisiana territory is the heart of the US.
Domestic Policy: The US offers many freedoms to it's white population, particularity white men. Women did not have a say in government and people of African heritage were separated in the south by 'jim crow' laws.
Civil Freedoms /10: 6.5/10
Political Freedoms /10: 7/10
Economic Freedoms /10: 8/10

Military Size: Federal Republic
Military Description: The US military has good and reliable equipment and gear, the military doctrine is constantly edited and morale remains high due to patriotism.
Strengths and Weaknesses: One major strength of the US military is it's ability to use gorilla warfare, but a weakness is sometime morale and supplies.

Short Description of Your Nation's Economy: The south is on the brink of breaking of breaking away and the economics and trade of the continent are off at this point in time
Short Description of Your Nation's Government: The United States is the world's oldest surviving federation. It is a constitutional republic and representative democracy, "in which majority rule is tempered by minority rights protected by law". The government is regulated by a system of checks and balances defined by the U.S. Constitution, which serves as the country's supreme legal document.
Short History of the last 60 years: Standard US history
Population of entire empire: 20 million (about) this is as close as anything could get me.

I will still do the civil war.

If you read the OP, it says the North is the one with beef in the timeline. If you'd be willing to do a reverse ACW, that'd be great.

NS Name: Segmentia

Nation Name: The Russian Empire, Russia

Head of State: Her Majesty, Queen Natasha Golikov

Head of Government: Queen Natasha Golikov

Government Form: Absolute monarchy

Ideology: Imperialism, defense of Slavic peoples and defense of Orthodox.

Foreign Policy: Relations with the Ottomans are tense, and have been for a good amount of time, still friendly with France though a but more distant then before. Russia has turned to the new world to try and forge good relations with the US, and is vying for the dominate influence over Japan with several others.

Domestic Policy: Local provinces are left to deal with their own issues, and lower level, local leaders are elected into power rather then selected by a higher ranking noble, even sheriffs are elected. If the need arises, the state police can be mobilized to assist local law enforcement, and in a worst case scenario, the military.

Higher level nobles are still chosen by birth and the monarch, the recent trend being based on merit and accomplishment rather then age or wealth. The monarch is still often chosen by being the favorite of their parents.

Civil Freedoms /10: 6/10

Political Freedoms /10: 5/10

Economic Freedoms /10: 5/10

Military Size: 350,000

Military Description: While the overall quality if the Russian Imperial military is good, the quality of individual units varies. Units stationed on the western borders, especially those near the borders with the Ottomans, are of greater priority then most units in the interior, so the border units often have the best equipment they can, best training, and are generally better lead as well. The personal units of the Empress, the Imperial Guard, are better still. If needed, Russia may, as always, call upon peasant levies and militias to flood the battlefields.

The Russian navy is still small, though modern.

Strengths and Weaknesses: Manpower: When the Motherland calls, the people from highest to lowest answer.

Reforms: Due to reforms over the past decades, the military leadership is there because of merit, and the troops are more eager to follow them.

Territory: While the soldiers of Russia know their Motherland well, the vastness of it can make responding to threats slow, and it can be difficult to gather large amounts of forces quickly.

Description of Your Nation's Economy: One of the largest agricultural nations in the world and the top exporter of cereals in the world, the modern industrial base is also a contributing factor to a decently powerful economy. The agriculture is controlled mostly by the peasants, by order of the Reform of 1843, and the industry is mostly controlled by the upper class, though a decent amount is owned by the crown.

Description of Your Nation's Government: The upper levels of government are controlled by the crown, with the monarch having full authority to appoint or remove members of the State Council. The Duma is elected by peasants, as well as other local officials. Due to the more merit driven focus of the current queen, much of the State Council is made up if the best members of the Duma, thus the elected representatives of the people, which has afforded Queen Golikov a significant amount of love and loyalty from her people.

Short History of the last 60 years: After the defeat at the hands of Napoleon in Europe and the agreement made afterwards, Russia has held dear the ideals of being able to defend itself, and defeat it's enemies. Over the past 60 years, a number of reforms have taken effect, improving the lives of the people of Russia, and improving Russia as a whole. Tsar Alexander I died in 1825, with no clear heir and his brothers bickering over who should rule, each supporting each others claim. Eventually both men decided that neither wanted the task, so they handed the crown to a new family, the Golikov family, who had always been firm supporters of the late Tsar, and of Russia. The move was popular with the State Council, as the Golikov's had often held a place on the Council, were rich, and were said to be kind in their gifts to friends. The family found it easy, natural almost, to rule Russia, and have since enacted a number of reforms which have earned them a spot in the hearts of the Russian people, and history.

Tensions have continued to slowly rise against the Ottomans though, and Queen Natasha Golikov, only 23 years of age and having ruled for the past five years, has taken steps to prepare for a possible war, but is currently unwilling to launch a preemptive invasion.

Population of entire empire: 75 million

The name's James. James Usari. Well, my name is not actually James Usari, so don't bother actually looking it up, but it'll do for now.
